how to stifle sound?

a while ago i posted a thread about "silencers," ie, what you use to quiet your vocalizing, and nobody responded.

i'm gonna try again, because this seems like a really big issue.

last night, for example, i spent about 2 hours continually moaning out of control more or less at the top of my lungs, like this:

    with the occasional EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

i had a washcloth stuffed into my mouth and was hugging a pillow to my face.

and still my wife downstairs, through the soundtrack of the Bond flick Casino Royale, could hear me. (by the way, she thought the new Bond dude is really hot, and seemed to have as good a time watching the movie as i was upstairs... almost)

to me, there is no question that the ability to vocalize is essential to intensifying arousal.

further, when things got in to the overwhelming range, i found that i wanted to tear the washcloth out of my mouth and shake the world unimpeded with my screams (but didn't), perhaps because i needed to breath freer.

men, how in the world do YOU handle this?

    Hi Darwin,

I have what they call a "Squish Therapy Pillow" on my bed that works on a couple of different levels. It has got some kind of beads in it that when you have your face buried into, you can breathe. It is pretty decent sound deadening as well. I also like to use it as support under my lower back at times to give a slight tilt to my mid-section. I think it was pretty inexpensive. I got it as a gift. I really like it and you might find it helpful.

    Take care.

  • My lands! I'm still trying to get to that point. Two whole hours? I can only imagine what that must be like. I'd be happy with just ten seconds of what you describe, but I'm not there yet. Maybe I'll come back to this if I get there.
  • I have sleep apnea and have a CPAP machine (continuous positive air pressure) that blows air in my nose.

I started using it during Aneros sessions sometimes and found that it helps my jagged breathing. It also makes me want to keep my mouth shut so I make almost no sound, I had it on during my first super O and every time I started to open my mouth air would blow out and I would quickly shut it again.

I know it's not an option for most but I thought someone might find it interesting .
They are expensive, so go take a sleep study test and convince your doctor that you have sleep apnea so insurance will cover it.

Have you tried getting your wife to sit on your face?
Maybe you can put some of that energy to better use.

I haven't been keeping up with things much on the forum lately as my Aneros sessions have been very disappointing for the past 5 months, but last night I FINALLY had a Super O again and it was great, just hope that I don't have to wait another 5 months for the next one.

This topic really caught my eye, I've never had the urge during my whole 2 Super O's to make any kind of sound and reading the posts in here concern me as unfortunatly I'm doomed to keep my little fettish secret.

I'm hoping last night was a turning point for me and if things get better from here I will have a problem, as I see it wouldn't making sounds be inevitable for everyone especially in the middle of very intense Super O's?

I'm still a very new aneros user and I just started getting super-o experiences. I also find that I can't control the moaning sounds that I make. The whole Super O thing is a little scary because I feel so out of control but it also feels so good that I try to just submit to it. I say, scream your lungs out if it feels good. Don't try to quiet it. Ken

i made a minor innovation on the washcloth silencer.

i used to just stuff it in my mouth.

much more effective to roll it up and then stuff it in there.

um excuse me?But why should we have to silence ourselves?why cant we just let it all out?See my topic "OMG i have to tell this" ect.If it wasnt for my mom being in bed i think my most intense super-o to date would have have lasted longer if i didnt have to hold back the uncontrollable moans ans growls. Its just somthing you gotta let out and go with, the same as reaching super-o.

Obviously our living situations impact the ability to vocalize. Fortunately it's not an issue for me. I close doors, etc but my wife finds it a even a bit humorous when she's upstairs and I'm down. I'm sure if someone were outside they could hear as well.

I too beleive it helps to enhance the session but it is so out of control it just happens. At those really high peaks it is a bit scary. One time I did an audio recording and it was amazing to me that I could even do that.
  • Even during sex with past partners I have never been one to do more than moan softly as I came. Now I live alone, but I'm very inhibited when it comes to vocalizing my pleasure. I haven't attained a super-o yet, but this makes me wonder about those that have. Do you people do any vocalizing before you reach the super-o state? Is it intentional or just a by product of pleasant sensations?

I very seldom vocalize during sexual experiences. It's just not me. I've also never felt the urge to vocalize during aneros sessions. Moaning seems to distract me from the sensations I'm feeling. I think everybody may just be different in this regard.
