Order Progasm Now or Should I Wait?

    Greetings!
What an interesting variety of topics one can find in this forum.
    Thanks guys.
It's always fun to read and learn.

Question -- (but some background first)
I'm a happily married man pushing 50, and not able to keep an erection long enough for an orgasm during sex. (The challenges of aging.)
As I've said in earlier posts, I have no desire to take ED drugs for this.
I have purchased the SGX and the MGX and they just don't go far enough.

Before spending more money (I know it's an investment), but I would really like to find the "right" one this time.

I really don't like the tabs on the regular models.
    They hurt!
It's been interesting to read the "handyman" repairs that many have made.
Not being a handyman, I hesitate before I start cutting up my purchases.

It sounds like the Progasm is a big improvement in many ways.
However, it also sounds like a newer model will be coming out eventually (any word on when?)And if it would be an advantage to wait for this model, versus the current one?

I've been an Aneros purchaser for the past year.
It will be interesting to hear when I go for my prostate exam in a few weeks what they say. In years past, I've always heard that "it seems large."

    Any advice?
Should I go ahead and purchase the Progasm, some other model, or wait?

Also, I'd love to hear from any guys out there who are using the Aneros while having sex with their wives.

    Have a great day!

    Hi daddeo

It sounds like we have similar stories, the main reason I purchased it was to help with ED problems, read more about it in by blog.

It has given me the extra kick needed to have regular intercourse again without Viagra. But I wanted more, I wanted the super-O I read about, sex right after having a super-O is mind boggling. Sex after 50 is great again for me.

Sorry, I haven't tried the Progasm but I think it would be worth a try. It only costs about the same as 7 Viagra pills.

PS. I put a rubber stopper over the P-tab because I agree that it hurts.

question for you ED guys: have you tried daily kegel exercise regimens?

let me rephrase the question. i am wondering how you understand the aneros to be therapeutic for ED? two possibilities come to mind:
    (1) indirectly because its use involves strengthening the PC muscles
    (2) directly because of the nerve stim it provides.

if it is case (1) only, then i wonder if you would be better served by a direct kegel regimen, or both that and the aneros.

about the discomfort of the P-tab, that can change over time. i originally found them pinching. now i long for that pinch.

there are some mods that are E-Z, like surrounding the p-tab w/ a ping-pong ball or nylon tip.

My problem is lessened sesetivity in the penis and discomfort from testicles, bladder, and prostate make it difficult for me to reach orgasm.

My therapist has me doing PC and aneros exercises in hopes it will increase the blood flow and sesitivity. I'm not sure what the exercises with the aneros are supposed to do, but if I have it in during sex, it gives me enough additional stimulation to ejaculate. I think a vibrator in my anus during sex might do the same thing, but I have some hang ups about that, the aneros seems like therapy.

btw, i had testicle discomfort for years and now i'm doing much better.

    here is what helped me:
    - physical therapy (internal and external stretching of pelvic floor as described in the Headache in the Pelvis book)
    - low dose (25mg) daily of nortriptyline, a somewhat outmoded anti-depressant. it is prescribed this way not to treat psychological issues but, rather, neuro-pathic pain
    - daily meditation
    - aneros and/or slightest touch use

i don't know which of the above is operative. what i do know is that before i started the physical therapy, meditation and nortrip, using the aneros would cause me a week or more of ball pain. but now (as you can see by my posts) i can use it with abandon.

i don't know if we have similar situations....

but, i will say that i am basically healed, and it is a fuckin miracle.
