I have certainly had my frustrations with this process but I have had my successes, too...involuntaries, shaking, warm feelings in my groin... The Big "O" is out there and getting closer, I hope...

One success that is not about fireworks but is critical for those fireworks to occur, and I wanted to relate my experiences.

When I first purchased the Classic way "back in the Day"...it did nothing.

Six months ago, I think, I dove in again and purchased the MGX and Helix...both left me frustrated with a lighter wallet... I started wondering if I had a "defective" prostrate, or done damage with past anal exploration, or whatever...

At any rate, I started reading ALL the threads, as well as everything I could find on the Web. Lots of people hitting the jackpot, lots frustrated as I was, lots making progress...

I dove in again...and stayed with it even with more frustration...

Well, I am on the road due to lots of (greatly appreciated) support from Tripper, Mayfield, Buster, Cag, and many more. We are all a bunch of slightly deranged guys doing bizarre things that, I bet, probably 99% of the people in our lives would scratch us off their dance cards if they knew about Aneros play... Oh, well, everyone thought the world was flat once...

The No. 1 suggestion I have is stick with it, have patience, and PRACTICE...that will allow you to strengthen those PC and sphincter muscles.

The impact once you do that is HUGE! Seriously, by being able to pull the Aneros inside, slow or quick, and be able to stop anywhere in that range is really important. Being able to flex the PC muscle, and control where to stop in that range, is amazing when used in cooperation of the sphincter's movements.

If I understand the physics here, the sphincter pulls the Aneros inside, up and down. The PC muscle either moves the prostrate or the Aneros laterally/sideways, I believe. If anyone knows the answer to that I would like to know. Regardless, visualize those abilities combined...

There effect is incredible. I can CONTROL the Aneros and how it touchs, presses, rubs my prostrate. I have been shocked at the difference it makes. I visualize the Aneros moving by the sphincter contractions and the PC flexing...helps a lot...

I do not feel the process is so random. I really feel like I can learn what works, I can experiment, whereas, it used to be such a mystery.

I noticed three distinct contractions. One pulls the aneros in, one pushes it out, and one moves it forward. The real trick is learning to combine them. Your notions of which muscles move the aneros and how, are very similar to mine. I think the exacts are probably not all that important, although for me visualizing it rubbing around was a key factor in sending me over.

Learning how your body works is a huge step. If you can feel and create sensation, then you can adjust it once you find something pleasureable. With time, it will happen "involuntarily." I hate to use that term because I think it creates a lot of confusion, but I don't have a better way of describing it.

Keep fighting the good fight :)

An addition to my first thoughts...

This process has been nothing less than astonishing!

And, I still feel the muscle tone and control to be critical for heart stopping sensations.

My latest discovery is that the PC can be moved outward. I had thought it was either in a relaxed state, and then could be contracted..., the "stopping of the urine flow" muscle action.

While trying to relax the anus/sphincter, and with practice, I have found that the PC can be flexed outward, leading to some very nice movements of the Aneros.

It also helps a lot in releasing the tension in the anus and sphincter.

    Hope that helps...

    Hello guys,
I concur with Virg on this topic. You really have to train for the ultimate pleasures generated by the Aneros. When I first started this journey last January, I did not have a clue what was meant by the different kind and strength of the recommended contractions. I also went through a slightly uncomfortable period of rewiring which I now realize was probably muscle fatigue. Once I developed the necessary muscle tone, the experiences have been tremendous.
So, those guys out there who may be frustrated, take your time, but be persistant. You will learn a lot about your body as you advance towards a higher state of pleasure.
    Good luck to all,
    Charlie

It has been awhile since I started this thread, or added to it. I think it is time to add a few thoughts…

The above mentioned experiences have continued to expand and surprise.

I believe, more than ever, that muscle tone and control continues to be very important to the Aneros process. Especially given that so many aspects of the process seem hard to control. Developing these muscles is very “do-able”, with a direct and discernable result.

The inward, “upward” anal contraction is the easiest to discern and develop. Strengthening, and then, developing control is a pretty straight forward process.

The outward, “downward” anal “push” was the one that surprised me the most, once I began to recognize what was happening. Initially, in efforts to relax the sphincter that would lead to “quivering”…over time I found that I could create the outward movement. I was eventually able to create movement of the Aneros, internally, by extending this muscle. Interesting sensations!

The PC muscle is one we are all familiar with but, for me, the one that has the most mystery. I find it has the biggest effect when used in conjunction with the other muscles but I am not always sure what it is, and can actually, “do”.

The “pelvic floor” muscles are still a bit of an unknown but it may just be an issue of semantics. I believe it is utilized when the movement is “outward”.

The latest threshold has been the ability to use muscle groups together, creating a whole new range movements and sensations!

What I have been doing to develop strength and control is to flex and exercise these muscles throughout the day, while doing normal activities, usually, while sitting. It may be 30 seconds, or minutes, at a time.

I have been doing this for many months, to help break out of “dud” sessions. It has been well worth the effort. The only caution I would offer is that you can over-exercise these muscles. Once done, they can stay sore for a long time…they are delicate… Little bits of exercise go a long way.

An unexpected surprise has been the increased pleasure that simple exercising of these muscle groups has become. My conclusion is that the muscles so developed (grown?) so much they interact with the prostrate much more than pre-Aneros use. I am very curious where this will lead. I assume this falls into the realm of tantric sex techniques…

I do think that these muscles, and their development, are critical to fully enjoying this journey, helping one to the Super “O”. Unfortunately, I have to admit that I not crossed that holy threshold. My progress is slow, with valleys of frustration and peaks of amazement and rapid scrambling across the floor chasing my eyeballs! If only that would happen every time!

On a related tangent, I think the MGX and Helix are best for this process. For me, I like the Helix and Maximus most. I think the Progasm, while creating interesting sensations, is just too big for effective movement, unless a large amount of lube is used and I have moved away from using any more lube than is necessary.

I suggest that part of the reasoning to produce the Progasm, aside from users requesting a bigger model, is that it would reduce the need for muscle development…by it being larger, the muscles can move less. More successful attempts at hitting the Super “O”…? Maybe. Personally, I think that mastering the smaller models through muscle development is much more beneficial for the long haul.

I have tried other several of the other manufacturer’s high-end models. These muscles have made those experiments very…very interesting…

I hope others will add their assessment of these muscle groups.

    Hope this helps
