antidepressants...similar devices to the slightest touch

Hey everyone, it's been a long time since I've been on these forums....I want to get back into prostate and anal play, but it's been hard for me to get aroused lately...

I've been on antidepressants for over a year now and they've ruined my aneros sessions. I once had a slightest touch device that greatly amplified my arousal and immediately got me into my aneros sessions. Unfortunately, it quit working and they no longer seem to sell these devices

What I liked about the slightest touch was that it was super easy to use. I would place the pads on my lower back and just slightly turn on the unit. I didn't have to adjust any other knobs and the machine did wonders for me. It didn't work well if I placed the pads behind my knees. It worked best when I used my peridise toys.

I miss having dry orgasms and I need a little boost from one of these units. Any ideas or recommendations? I would greatly appreciate any help...antidepressants have killed my sex life with my girlfriend and my personal sessions

I know how you feel with the antidepressant problem of killing sex drive. I'm on 40mg a day of Citalopram for anxiety (I have to take them otherwise i cant work) and i just dont really feel anything anymore.
But between a choice of feeling having a low sex drive or feeling like im going to die on a daily basis, i know what id chose.

Yeah, I can't work or do much of anything without the pills....I'm taking effexor and celexa, and they've really helped me get my life back on track. The low sex drive is a total bummer for me at 30 years old, but I have to stay on the medication or break down again. I feel ya there.

Read  www.amazon.com/Depression-Cured-Sherry-A-Rogers/dp/1887202005  as well as her other books.  This is not the end of the story, but the beginning.  At only 30, you still have many decades ahead of you.  Don't write them off!

Hey Thruster! Thanks for the book recommendation....I certainly haven't given up hope and I don't plan on being on antidepressants my entire life. I have an amazing girlfriend who is completely supportive of me and knows all about my aneros use.
I'm just looking for an estim device that is similar to the slightest touch. I purchased a Zeus estim device and I don't get any form of arousal from it. I'm looking for a similar device, just like the slightest touch, that I can afford and achieve the same results from. I'm looking for some arousal amplification :)

@wildturkey. The real problem is that many of these sex-help devices keep their specifications secret. It is therefore very hard to find a device that can produce similar waveforms with similar results. This is especially so for SlightestTouch that seems to have gone. The SlightestTouch info in the Aneros forum (?bmayfield) is a wealth of info, but no electrical setting details. It would be so helpful if we could find the info of what has worked and match or set up a TENS/EMS device to similar settings. I am working on it in compete ignorance. I am trying a medical grade unit for safety reasons. I am much older which means that my arousal level is much reduced. I have found some suggested settings, but very much in a fog! I do get some very nice contractions, the unit does Kegel's for me without me doing much (I nearly jumped out of my skin!). I can reset the pulse etc to suit and I have got a bit of prostate fluid.
There is a device called Kegel8v but it is not available in my country. It is the same as NeuroTrac but may have been set up differently. Both these makes have program slots for ones own set up.
There are a number of devices advertised in Bondage sites but as you have found they may not work.

I'm currently on Celexa 40mg for anxiety, and it has worked well and barely affected my sex drive (after the initial adjustment period). Previous to this, I was on Effexor and it was much worse in this regard. Effexor targets a lot more brain chemicals than Celexa, so it often overreaches and does more than a patient needs it to. Don't give up on trying different med combinations. You may find one that works
    Better for your sex drive.

Isvara and mdad, thank you so much for your comments.....I bought my Zeus from extreme restraints, isvara, and you're completely right....it certainly doesn't do anything for me and I don't want to throw away anymore money without getting others' personal experiences and advice. I figured it would be difficult to find a similar device as the slightest touch. I just know that that particular device worked great for me! :) I'm just interested in arousal amplification and multiple dry orgasms, certainly not hands free ejaculatory orgasms....I don't want to ejaculate.

As far as the effexor, I was scared out of my mind to start taking it, because I heard that it was very difficult to get off of it, because it had terrible side effects. I'm doing incredibly well lately and I see my psychiatrist tomorrow....Hopefully we can start lowering some of the dosages, because I completely agree with you mdad, I feel that effexor has been the biggest detriment to my sex drive

@wildturkey, my goals is similar to yours - amplified arousal would be a start for me. Super Os are still a dream! If I get any results I will post here,

Right on Isvara, I'm not even sure if a slightest touch device would even have the same effect on me as before, since I've been on antidepressants, but I want to give it a try for sure anyway :)

I strongly feel that Aneros is the key to success. It is passive and relatively harmless and get to the right spot. My exploring stim is really a side line to assist with associated age related matters. Also I just happen to be curious and explorative but cautious. Elsewhere and often on this site there have been numerous references to the negative effect of antidepressants on arousal. It may be that a change of medication like @mdad may be helpful.

@wildturkey:I tried going off my SSRI's twice. Both times ended... badly. So I feel I'm stuck with them forever. But I like feeling normal, so I try to make the best of it. Celexa has been way better than Effexor, and I never want to go off it again. Effexor was hard to start, and hard to stop. It just seemed to be more involved in my brain than I needed. I tapered off slowly. But I'm glad I did, cause Celexa alone has been so much better. And don't forget about Welbutrin, which is supposed to counter some of the effects, as well as Gincko Biloba and Ginsing (neither of which I've tried but for which I've heard they help, too).

Wildturkey, I was on zoloft for years and had NO sex drive, libido, and could barely ejaculate. I also had low testosterone. the urologist gave me a script for a hard on pill and the psychiatrist chaned me to wellbutrin. the hard on pill (I forget it's name) worked and I could feel arousal for hours in my penis. the wellbutrin opened me up to my arousal again as well as all the emotions the zoloft was hiding. it was too much emotions so they added celexa and adjusted the doses. now I feel able to enjoy life and function again. while I was going through these changes, I got curious about the varieties of arousal and orgasms and discovered aneros. I found that I didn't need the hard on pill and gradually learned about my body and the other pleasures.

my point is tell the doctor about your difficulty with arousal and ask for some adjustments to find the right balance. I still feel the antidepressants are inhibiting super Os and the big anal contractions but my arousal is better than EVER. I do have to work at getting into arousal with nipples, edging and porn.

Did you have a problem with arousal before the antidepressants? You mention the slightest touch machine. have they measured testosterone levels? Has this been a problem for a long time? I really wish you well. I know it's aweful not being able to arouse yourself. Your lucky to have a understanding girlfriend. she must like you a lot!

Guys... there is a great, natural alternative to SSRIs that has been confirmed to relieve some types of depression just as well as Zoloft / Prozac in legit, double-blind scientific studies.

It's called inositol. It's a natural citamin-like substance found in food and in your body, its not a drug. You can buy it for pretty cheap on Amazon, at GNC, etc.

I used to take Zoloft and I find inositol is a close approximate if you get the dose right. It does more or less the same thing. Makes mood better, colors brighter, make the you see "the glass is half full" instead of empty,  in and it's especially powerful for mellowing out OCD & looping thoughts.

Another good side is that there is no withdrawl syndrome if you decide to go off it for a while or miss a dose. Worst that happens is some of your depression or anxiety comes back until you resume.

The downside is that it's a powder and larger doses (12,000mg to 18,000mg) are often needed to put a dent in serious depression or OCD. You may need to take it 2x or even 3x a day.. it depends on the individual.

Here's an article by a Canadian doctor who explains the how to use and dose inositol: http://inositolpage.blogspot.com/2007/10/psycho-powder-panacea-or-placebo.html

Follow up on the "slightest touch" part of the thread.
From my little exploration I have found that my EMS has improved my general pelvic well being considerably. Not that there was a problem, it just feels so very much better. This has inspired me to use the clipper attachment to my men's nose groomer to do some general tidy up!
It worked best with a vaginal probe. The anal probe hurt (stung) before I could get the power up. I may try it as a single pole electrode. So I will continue the play but so it has not done anything to my arousal. Most of what I have read indicates that there needs to be a form of arousal employed (e.g porn)
