More thorough Progasm insertion instructions

    Hey guys,

    It seems like we are getting a lot of repeat questions of difficulty with insertion of the Prograsm. So I'm wondering if you Aneros WIKI moderators are open to the idea of putting much more detailed instructions in the WIKI on how to insert the Progasm?
  • I agree with @Love_is in that there has to be a section in the Aneros Wiki giving detailed instructions on how to insert and use successfully the Progasm.

    Also I am glad that specs section of the various Progasm models and the Maximus say that these models are for more experienced users. It took me at least two months to learn how to insert the Maximus and the Progasm models without discomfort and then a couple more months to learn how to use them with confidence.

    @Love_is & @BigGlansDC,

    Absolutely we "...are open to the idea of putting much more detailed instructions in the WIKI on how to insert the Progasm". From the very beginning of the Aneros WIKI we have desired the input of the membership to add information, as BF Mayfield said "This is a work in progress, it will continue to evolve, flourish and grow as a direct result of the input of the community that it is intended to serve."

    So yes,YES please, write up a description proposal for review and eventual inclusion in the WIKI.

    Cool! I'm not feeling inspired this morning. But hopefully soon. Thanks Rumel.
  • Just a thought ... But would it be easier to make a video clip on how to do it. I found it quite easy but then I have been using smaller models for nine moths prier. If I had tried it straight off I may of had trouble.
    A video with butt hole showing a actual insertion with commentary might be better.
    Just a idea to ponder on!

    @braveneworld - I think at the very least, we need to have text instructions. I know for myself I wouldn't care to see a video of a guy doing the insertion. Besides the fact that the angle and movements may not be obvious visually. So then you'd have to have narration describing anyways. Which in my mind makes it pointless. Quicker and easier to read instructions. But that's just my opinion.
  • @Love_is I am a technical fellow and can follow instructions very well,Its just that I have found other men can be hopeless with instructions and need visual help. I agree that video may not be for every one. I mean we maybe dealing with a very hetro guy with hangups about seeing other naked guys. Dont want to scare them off.

    Ok, here's my first draft proposal for complete replacement of what is already there for instructions:

    Inserting the Progasm presents particular challenges because of its size. Go very slowly. You can easily tear your anus if it is not properly relaxed and prepared for the Progasm. Also because this is a larger model, sometimes fecal matter can get between the Progasm and your prostate which can cause discomfort. So you may opt to do a rectal rinse prior to insertion. See:

    http://wiki.malegspot.com/index.php?title=Getting_Started#Cleaning_your_rectum

    First make sure you are inserting it in the correct direction. The side of the Progasm where the head is more curved in, is the side that goes against your prostate. So this side faces the front of your body.
    When inserting, use a scooping motion to take advantage of the curves at the head. So this means during initial insertion, the outer end of the Progasm that you are holding with your hand will be held closer to your scrotum such that the head goes in straight. And as the head goes in you can slowly pull the handle away from your scrotum to make the scooping motion. At this point, the head can sometimes get caught from going past the inner anal sphincter. And once past this, even get caught in front of the prostate, which can cause a lot of pain or discomfort in both instances. So once the head is in past the outer anal sphincter, gently rock the outer end of the Progasm in small movements back and forth in relation to the front and back side of your body. This allows the head to find it's way past the inner anal sphincter and prostate. When it is inserted correctly the the anus should easily pull the P and K-tabs snug against your body with no discomfort or pain.

    I'm open to feedback and constructive criticism. Things I'd like some input or help on is the description of inserting the Progasm in the correct direction. I feel like it could be better, but this is the best I could think of right now. I'm also wondering if there is a better way to describe the end of the Progasm that you hold onto when inserting. I initially called it the handle, but then realized there technically is no handle. So changed it the outer end of the Progasm, which doesn't sound that great. But seems more technically accurate. Thoughts, and ideas? Thanks. :)

    Niggle: "find it's way" - possessive "its" has no apostrophe.

    @Love_is,

    Thanks for your contribution, see the new Inserting the Progasm section of the WIKI I just added. Feedback is appreciated and respected though not always acted upon.

    @twlltin,
    While I like the word "niggle" that colloquialism is probably too unfamiliar to use for us American-English speakers.

    @twiltin - Thanks for catching that!

    @rumel - Looks good! Nice re-write. Some minor corrections needed...  I suspect you need an "and" between "back forward", and the "its" correction that twiltin mentioned. Thanks. :)

    @rumel: a quibble, perhaps? (a trivial criticism, discomfort, or annoyance)

    @Love_is & twlltin,

    The phrasing "back forward" didn't need an 'and' so much as the elimination of the word "back", the motion being described here is not so much "back and forth" as it is rotation of the tip axis to align with the anal axis as the tip penetrates the inner anal sphincter. In this case the rotation of the Progasm base is forward, rotating about the ball of the P-tab.

    @twlltin, I'm sorry I misunderstood your original comment, I've corrected the grammatical error as you noted.

    @rumel - Looks good to me. Thanks for the new addition and update. :)
  • I wish to thank @Love_is for his detailed instructions on the insertion of the Progasm as well as @rumel's, who rewrote and expanded the Wiki section on Inserting the Progasm.

    I have been using both the Progasm Classic and Progasm Ice since last September. I have to say that it took me a month to learn to insert both models easily and comfortably to the hilt so that the P-tab lies squarely upon my perineum and the K-tab very close upon my coccyx (tailbone). But when I discovered that the Progasm developed to enhance the Kegel Exercises last October, that was when my sessions with the Progasm began to take off. @rumel, you may want to add the connection of the Kegels and the Progasm to the Wiki.

    BigGlansDC,

    Kegel exercises are applicable to all Aneros models, not just the Progasm. The Aneros WIKI does address Kegels in several places already, e.g.see Kegel aerobics or this quote from the Aneros WIKI "For a more detailed description for performing Kegel exercises, please visit www.kegelexercisesformen.com" Kegels as well as other contraction exercises are all beneficial to the arousal build-up process with any Aneros model.

    @Love_is,

    In these instructions I see no mention of lubrication!

    I believe that before one begins the insertion process, he should cover the tool with a liberal coating of a durable lubricant (shea butter or Vaseline).

    It would also be a good idea to pre-lube the rectum with a water based lubricant or walnut oil etc.

    @Pommie,

    If you go read the re-write that now appears in the Aneros WIKI (see Inserting the Progasm) you will notice on the very first line there are internal links/references to the "Preparation", "Lubrication" & "Relaxation" sections of the WIKI to guide the new Progasm user.

    What should I use to start out with.  I've never used one of these before, and want to start.

    If your new to prostrate massage and anal play this is a very aggressive model to start with. I'd recommend the Helix, MGX or Maximus.

    Which way round is the Progasm supposed to go when inserted? Someone mentioned the side that's more curved to go in on the prostate side but I'm not sure what they mean by more curved. I understood or hopefully understood that the little humpy bit about halfway along the Progasm was supposed to be on the prostate side as that was what was supposed to rub against the prostate as the more bulbous end is far too long and over reaches the prostate so I'm not sure what function the big bulbous part is supposed to have, maybe just to create a fuller feeling I suppose....

    @tickle, the tip points forward at a 45 degree angle, that should point towards the prostate.

    Ineverknew that (LOL) thanks buddy I think I had it right then but that thing is just to big to move and I'm still not exactly sure how this thing is suppose to work so the OP has hopefully kicked something off that will help a few folks struggling with it. I look forward to any developement on the subject.

    @tickle, thanks for pointing "that" out LOL.  Sorry I meant the tip should point towards the prostate.  In this picture you can see how all of the aneros devices point to the left, meaning the tips should point towards the prostate.  The progasm is a little harder to figure out because it doesnt point as much as the others but the picture should explain better.
    EDIT well i apparently cant get the pic attached or inserted in here, so this is the url.  http://www.anerosprostatemassager.com/comparison-chart/

    @tickle, as far as the device moving, I have found that taking your time when inserting is one of the keys.  If you rush it it will feel tight and full inside, the slower you go the more loose it feel when its in and a better chance of the involuntaries kicking in.  Repeated and consistent use will also help.

    Hi @ineverknew,

    Thank you for sharing with all of us the Aneros Prostate Massager Comparison Chart. This chart is instructive in the general shape of all Aneros Prostate Massager models pictured which resemble somewhat a man's penis. All these models do slope to the left in various angles. This general shape makes for the prostate massage which each Aneros model delivers to a guy.

    Beginning Progasm users receive correct orientation of the Progasm for insertion by the P and K tabs. The P-tab which is shorter massages the perineum. The K-tab or Kundalini-tab is orientated at a guy's coccyx or tailbone. The K-tab provides additional stimulation. When I began using both the Progasm Classic and Progasm ICE models, an experienced Progasm user on our Forum gave me very helpful information of the correct orientation of the Progasm, e.g. head facing the prostate with the P-tab closer to you and the K-tab farther from you.

    Finally about a couple weeks ago, I finally discovered the usefulness of lying on my right side in the fetal position. This position which is suggested as a good position for Anerosing, I discovered, is ideal for both Maximus and the Progasm. This position, I discovered, is very much a passive position. Both Maximus and Progasm Classic fit so well in this position and both models autof**k me so slowly and sweetly. I do hardly anything except breathe so slowly and shallowly. ;)

    Thom, it was pretty confusing for me years ago when I received my progasm as there were instructions but for the helix, so I was kinda dumbfounded.  Luckily I found something on the web showing proper insertion.  I guess the confusing part for me was the k tab and p tab look so similar.  Once I figured it out though it made sense.  When you use the fetal position do you keep both your legs together bent or one leg straight and one bent?  Just curious.

    Hi @ineverknew,

    Good question! ;) So far I have used the fetal position with both legs together, again using the image of a chair. That position gives me very deep penetration for both Maximus and Progasm. Plus all my sexual organs, e.g. prostate, anal canal, anal sphincters, testicles, and penis are close together. In that position, I have experienced such slow, relentless autof**king which is so irresistible and exquisite.

    I haven't used the fetal position yet with one leg straight and other bent. I should try that soon because that too is a preferred position of many guys.

    If you are interested, please see the blog entry that I posted this morning about my Aneros positions:

    Ah, I should probably take note of this.
    Though the Progasm as of recent helped push my journey along, it was also the cause for nasty anal fissures - and possibly the itching/stings I still get.

    Perhaps I was just inserting it wrong all this time? Granted I take it as slow as possible, but even when it's half way I still feel pain.
    I'll try holding the head straight next time.

    That is why, @DarkEngine, I am cautious even now with the Progasm, although I enjoy working with it.

    Personally, I now like to 'warm up' before all my sessions to get my muscles more relaxed and limber down there. I've got 3 butt plugs - one that's just about the width of a finger plus a little more, one that's about two fingers wide, and a third that's closer to 3.5 or 4 fingers. The third is something it takes me an hour or so to work my way up to, and I don't use it every session.

    Anyway, after warming up with the plugs, progasm insertion is a cinch these days. It used to be quite painful for me as well.

    Even with the smaller models (the Helix classic is still my #1), I find the process of loosening up before a session (in addition to a good enema cleaning) makes things go much more smoothly. The sensations I get right after insertion are quite powerful, whereas when I used to just go directly to the Aneros it would take 30 or 45 minutes sometimes before I could feel much of anything.

    Hi @rumel, You may want to revise your Wiki on correct Progasm insertion instructions to include what I have written above about correct P-tab and K-tab orientation on both Progasm Classic and Progasm ICE.

    @tairy, when I began using multiple Aneros models in my sessions some time ago, I work up from the small to the larger models in my sessions. It is much better that way.

    And @ineverkew, I used your suggestion that I use my laying on my right side with my right leg straight down and my left leg hooked for the first time this morning. Wow, what intense, sweet Anerosing that happened then!!! Thank you for letting me know! ;)

    NO, NO, NO!!

    WRONG, WRONG, WRONG !!!!

    There are specific steps that can help the individual avoid pain, discomfort, potential injury.  Especially important for those new to insertion of anal devices.  To veterans of anal play this may be a no-brainer.

    It's fun to be glib.  But how 'bout we be exacting in procedures where necessary to ensure the most comfortable and enjoyable experiences with these 'larger' devices?

    There are real problems facing some people with trying to get the head of the P-ice passed the inner anal sphincter. Folk with BHP may need to have the P-tab almost touching the perineum to get the right angle to the sphincter opening. If the angle is not right then the head of a larger Aneros is beside the sphincter and will not be able to enter. Also the sphincter may object to the size of the head and this will need patience and definitely the right angle, then there is an equally large body to follow. This may also apply to others. Once I get Ice in it is very comfortable. With good Kegel exercises sphincters may be toned up and not slack so this can compound the difficulty.
    Some say insert the Progasm with the K-Tab to the front then turn later, this was to get the insert angle right by turning the point of the head towards the inner sphincter.
    My cents worth.
