  • Hope you guys don't mind me creating another thread for more general discussion...not sure how much input I'll get from the poll one. My intro from the other thread is quoted below...

Hi, I'm new here. Any help is appreciated Ok, so I'm looking to buy a prostate stimulator but not sure which one. While I am a virgin I should probably mention that I'm not completely new to anal play...I've experimented with prostate stimulation quite a bit and I've been able to get up to 4 of my fingers inside, but self stimulation is just too difficult and painful (ie hand/arm cramps) sometimes that I think it's time to try a toy and these hands free orgasms!

Hello SG22 and welcome to the Aneros Forum,

Thanks for the post. I'm pleased to find that I'm not the only man here that is not comfortable with the "pretzel pose!"

There's plenty of advise available in the Forum and Community Polls that will help in your selection of an Aneros toy. About the only thing I might offer for now is that we employ far less force and more subtle movements than do users of dildos or other anal/prostate stimulators. All that would seem to fit with your choice of a screen name -- being Sensitive is key to this journey

Post your questions and you'll receive a generous offering of responses.

    Sensitiveguy22,

I will direct you to a recent post of mine with another prospective buyer,
CuriousStraight . In it I discuss several of the models that are more suited to new users. Given that you have had some experience with anal play (inserting 4 fingers simultaneously), and if "quite a bit" means frequently, then you may be a candidate for something larger as well. While the Progasm is generally regarded as an advanced user model, it can also be used by those who have had extensive experience with larger fare.

  • I see, well actually my screen-name is more to do with being an emotionally sensitive guy not necessarily physically, but I do prefer gentle light caressing of my penis so perhaps I'll find the same true of my ass. Well actually I know that's true of the nerves around the butthole, but I dunno about interior so much cause so far I've found that prostate stimulation only feels good when I apply a lot of pressure (I think multiple fingers makes this easier) and squeeze my pc muscles (cause it lifts the prostate making it easier to stimulate?)

But...I've never tried an anal toy so perhaps that'd be a whole new ballgame.
  • BTW, I'm also looking into buying a Fleshlight if anyone has advice on that. Thinking of the Slugger combo, though I've been told the STU is the one to buy and you should go for pleasure over realism and the original isn't all that close to real anyways since vaginas aren't completely smooth. Anyone else got an opinion on this?
  • Oh, and if you have any suggestions on how to discreetly obtain sex toys that'd be appreciated as well. I know they try to ship and bill discreetly but it's not good enough...I need a way to get it completely inconspicuously, since my parents check my credit card statement and the last time I purchased a sex toy online they found the charge fishy and drilled me about it, as non-descript as it was. I tried to play dumb but they knew something was up. They never found out exactly what but they thought I was paying for a porn subscription or something, lol well they were on the right track. Anyways, I don't want to go through that again so if anyone has some ideas, please share! Would be nice if I could just find it at a sex store in my city but I don't think any of them carry aneros or fleshlight products so it looks like I'll have to buy online again.

I would suggest getting a Visa giftcard or prepaid card. Most banks sell them and they work just like a credit card for online purchaces. The main difference between the two is that prepaid cards can be reloaded. Be sure you understand the fees that may be involved before you buy. Some of the cards like the Green Dot prepaid cards that they sell at drugstores are downright rip-offs.

    Hi sensitiveguy22,

Just asked exactly the same question a couple of days back. I'm going for the Helix. I've used other toys before and rarely, I enjoy experimenting with larger objects, but I actually have a RudeBoy and find that it is too big and uncomfortable for longer play, so going to go for the normal size first.

As for getting it discreet, I would use a vendor that honors PayPal.

    Cheers!

    Sensitiveguy22,

The simplest way to do this would be to go to the supermarket, buy a VISA or Mastercard gift card. With that card you can buy the product from the Aneros website. Short of finding it at a retail store, there is no better way IMO to purchase it. When you process the transaction here, they will always be able to track it. And in the unlikely event that there is a problem with it, you'll be able to deal with the manufacturer directly. In working with the gift card there will be no statement or paper trail created that may require explanation later. With respect to how the product is shipped it couldn't be more discreet. It comes in a brown cardboard box and the return address will say " HIH " with their Houston address....that is all.

One other thing, you might consider calling HIH (the manufacturer) directly and ask them where the nearest retailer is around you! Don't hesitate to do this, they're nice people, they get calls like this all the time, and they may provide you with information that will help. Their number is : 713-680-8840.

If you want discretion then Personally IMO its better to avoid any shipping to your residence.
Find a local sex shop and call in to ask the manager or owner if they can order something specific fro you once you have decided.
That may be embarrassing sounding to you, if this is any comfort i have had a local shop do this for me in the past and it was a great transaction.
If you can find a shop and get that worked out then you can pay in cash as you like and then you wont have to worry about shipping, just get it & have a excuse or something for where u went or whatever if needed.
I can see how going to a shop may be embarrassing but i can tell you the employees at them are always nonjudgmental and helpful, the worst part is waling in and out the door.

Other than something like that I'd suggest you go with B's suggestion and call HIH and see if they can work something out you are more comfortable with.

For payment i personally say you should get a cashiers or travelers check, they take a bit of time to get processed, but there is no retroactive fees or anything, you just go to the post office or your bank, and ask for a check in the amount you would like, then pay that amount + some % fee and that's it, no other billing info needed or junk like that.
I've never used any of the pre-paid cards people have suggested but i really can't imagine it could be any more friendly than a cashiers check, which i have used for online purchases a number of times, not all places accept them and a travelers check may be needed, any way just check with the retailer and the bank / post office to be sure.
I think last time i got a cashiers check from the post office the check was for $60 and the total cost for me was like $68, that was like 2 years ago tho so idk currently.

Lastly here's my 2 cents on a aneros choice.
I personally was anal experienced and into the larger fare, so i got the progasm.
I do like it and am happy with it and making progress.
As i go on tho I want nothing but mobility as i progress.
Any way since you said you like to notice the pressure i can see why u might go for a larger model.
It's ultimately up to you but for movement less is more and i highly encourage everyone, regardless of their anal experience to consider the more mobile models as their first aneros.
My next toy investment is defiantly going to be a eupho or peridise.

I definitely endorse Imperium's thoughts on an over-the-counter transaction. If either you or your car is well known in your part of town, drive across town or to the next village. My wife and I received excellent counsel when I bought my first Aneros toy. I asked for a male g-spot toy that would stay put and not pop-out during foreplay (which was an issue with a competing toy I'd bought from an online store.)

I think I was a bit surprised that the counter-person seemed to know exactly what my wishes were. He recommended an Aneros Helix and I forked over the cash. Transaction complete! After some reflection, I realize that I wasn't the first person to make such a request.

Seeing these toys, up close and personal, may prove superior to guessing about it's representation on a web page.
  • Thanks for all the advice guys :)

Well, if the website is accurate then there is no retailer in my city. I guess the local store just doesn't carry it cause according to CastleMegaStore's online store they do sell 'em.

Eh, I don't think I want to risk any delivery to my house whatsoever...I know my parents will inquire about it, no matter how discreet the box. Actually the more discreet the more suspicious they'd probably be...
  • So I think I've decided on the Helix, but a few questions have come to mind. First of all, are these things safe/comfortable? Those knobs look like they might be painful and I've read that pressure on the "million dollar spot" can cause retrograde ejaculation which some doctors believe isn't healthy. Secondly, you guys talk about Aneros using less force then dildos and other prostate stimulators but as far as I'm aware the prostate NEEDS firm pressure so how are these toys effective if it doesn't provide much pressure? Thirdly, what sort of lube is best to use with these? I have both water based and silicone, but I'm aware the latter can ruin certain sex toys.

    Sensitiveguy22,

Before you use your Aneros I strongly urge you to familiarize yourself with the some of the resources here in the forum:
New to the Aneros Forums? Start Here! Be advised that are many popular misconceptions about prostate stimulation and the need for high intensity massage is one of them. As a matter of fact the true nature of effective prostate stimulation is precisely the opposite. The prostate responds more readily to subtle stimulation than to vigorous stimulation. As a matter of fact the prostate is more commonly de-sensitized by large amounts pressure in a phenomenon known as a negative feedback loop where ever increasing levels of stimulation are required to maintain the same level of sensation. This is where the potential for harm lies. All of the Aneros models have been designed as hands-free devices, requiring nothing more than one's own anal contractions to drive them. As a result they are safe when used as directed. Unlike a dildo or a vibrator that is conical and straight, the Aneros is contoured and angled. Consequently, these devices produce a focused type of stimulation with very little force. Again, to be clear, the Aneros was not designed to be powered by one's hand. As you explore this site you will learn that it is the natural interaction of the Aneros with one's body that produces the powerful non-ejaculatory, whole-body event that we refer to as the Super-O .

Lubrication is largely a matter of personal preference. Silicone preparation may used with all Aneros massagers with the exception of the silicone models (presently the VICE).

    Cheers!

  • Hands free, yeah...that much I was aware of at least, and if I didn't make it clear before it's one of the reasons the aneros is so intriguing to me; not just cause it'll save me from cramped muscles and such but also cause I've been trying to do kegel excercises for the past year or so in the hopes of eventually being able to bypass the refractory period and become a multi-orgasmic man. (isn't it so unfair women are just naturally able to have multiple orgasms!?) But this requires VERY strong pc muscles and it's hard to be sure sometimes whether you're really doing the kegels right. I figure an aneros would give me increased opportunity to work on my kegels while giving better feedback at the same time. :)

One of the things that you'll learn here...and it's somewhat counter-intuitive for most men, is that less is often more! Traditional masturbation teaches us that harder and faster stimulation produces greater results. Again, this is not the case when it comes to generating a Super-O. For more on this check out the WIKI, it contains the distillation of some of the best threads and posts from advanced users.

    BF Mayfield

p.s. For the record there are many women who are not multi-orgasmic, as matter of fact there are many polls that show that there is a substantial population of women who have
never had an orgasm. In so far as men go, the Super-O is a completely natural response as well, however it is generally usurped by guy's preoccupation with the ejaculatory response.
  • Um, is it just me or did the first part of your post have no relation to what I last said...?

While I was following through a bit from your previous post, you also referred to the need for having "VERY strong PC muscles" and having the desire to bypass the obligatory refractory period and become multi-orgasmic. My answer spoke to the mindset for making that happen. And yes, it may seem like a simple thing, but it's something that so many men overlook. Again look to subtle sensations, these will be your precursors to the P-waves (pleasure waves) that will comprise a Super-O. With respect to PC muscles strength, it is toning that is required, Think of it as core strengthening vs. lifting free weights. Toning produces strength, and responsiveness and yes, the Aneros delivers on that.

IMO, the Fleshlight doesn't figure into a path to dry-Os for most men; however, it can team with an Aneros tool to edge into some awesome Super-Ts. (see the Wiki).

Following an "Anerosgamic" or therapy session, I use the FL with Vortex sleeve with a small vibe to edge to a Super-T. My vibe of choice was mentioned by ten_s_nut in his Post #1 in the thread, -- http://www.aneros.com/forum/f5/cheap-compatible-7-function-vibe-vice-15547/ -- . I team that FL+vibe with a Vice running it's 'stock' vibe in mode #4. Cool path to the Super-T!

The Vortex sleeve also provides some cool sensations when my wife twists it during foreplay.

I extended the length of wire about 18-inches then routed the wire inside the case, but outside the sleeve to position the bullet inside the sleeve.

    Enjoy!

late note: Other sleeves here are the Original, the nubby from the STU, and a WonderWave.)
  • Is the MGX not as good as the Helix cause I've decided to go with the Starter Kit, it's cheaper and I like the idea of the ribbed stem on the MGX. Gonna get a Visa Gift Card tomorrow and make the purchase. Hopefully it'll get here before next week since my parents will be leaving town Thursday and gone through the weekend.

The MGX was the flagship model in the Aneros line for many years and is still regarded by many as one of the best they've ever made. In addition to that this model comes with a money back guarantee. (Such gestures are generally a show of confidence in a product). In so far as when you could expect delivery, that all depends on your location. If you have some concerns about when it might arrive I'd suggest that you call the company.

[QUOTE=sensitiveguy22;99774]I just noticed there's a different starter pack that includes a rectal sryringe...um, is anything like this necessary?Necessary, as in required, NO it is not necessary, however you may find the information in the Aneros WIKI concerning Cleaning your rectum useful toward making a decision on that purchase. The user Poll
Do You Enema First? reveals an interesting split of opinions - 1/3 of the voters chose 'All the time', 1/3 chose 'Never' and 1/3 chose 'Sometimes'. This is pretty evenly divided, it really depends more on your personal comfort level dealing with the hygienic aspects of Aneros use.

I am very pleased to hear you are interested in my "HypnAerosession" CD, obviously I am biased in favor of the product but you can read for yourself some of the posts/reviews found in these threads. http://www.aneros.com/forum/f5/hypno-holy-crap-15633/http://www.aneros.com/forum/f5/hypnaerosession-cd-testimonial-12125/http://www.aneros.com/forum/f7/first-timer-helix-hypnaerosession-alana-12290/http://www.aneros.com/forum/f5/hlaser99-%93hypnaerosession%94-12130/http://www.aneros.com/forum/f5/hypnaerosession-why-no-download-option-12193/http://www.aneros.com/forum/f5/hypnaerosession-subliminal-messages-12151/http://www.aneros.com/forum/f5/hypnaerosession-cd-mp3-download-rumel-available-now-12120/http://www.aneros.com/forum/f5/back-aneros-happy-newbies-read-12411/http://www.aneros.com/forum/f5/another-lucky-beta-tester-hypnaerosession-cd-review-12126/While most of the reviews have been positive there have been some men who did not find it useful, which just goes to prove that any one technique is not going to be effective for everyone.
  • I don't really have time to read through all those, but Is it still just the original release of that CD? There hasn't been an update yet? Cause I ran across some other thread you commented on back in 2008 where you said you were working on a supplement, specifically since some users had requested more moaning women, lol. There was something about moans mixed in with crashing waves, sounds like a good idea to me too...has this been put out yet?

Oh, and as for cleaning the rectum...does it do anything towards enhancing sensation or it is just for hygenic purposes? I was thinking of adding some of those toy wipes to my order to take care of the hygenic issue. But I am aware that I don't get my fiber in my diet and I'm frequently constipated and I tend to run into "obstructions" when I finger myself...so perhaps an enema is somewhat necessary for me, lol. Um, since the lube applicator syringe is much cheaper and can I just use that for administering en enema as well?

    Re: cleaning the rectum.

Yes. It is a bit of both; sensations are enhanced when there is not poop gumming the movement of the Aneros, and there's nothing scratching your rectum with the Anero's movement. And cleanliness is nice, it makes things easier to clean, and smell better.

[QUOTE=sensitiveguy22;99775]Oh and this Hypnaerosession CD looks intriguing, anyone recommend?

    YES.
    I highly recommend it.
A big part of getting pleasure from aneros is allowing your body to relax.
Also having a good way to concentrate on a feeling is extremely helpful.
For me just laying in a quiet room with aneros gives little sensation and i cant focus properly to build sensation.
Before i got the Hypnaerosession CD i just listened to other ambient noise or relaxing designed music.
I actually managed to borrow a copy of Kelly Howell's "total relaxation" album, it does a good job for me to relax, past that not so much.
I still can't find his "Ecstasy" album mentioned in the wiki.

Here are 2 good easy free things to get you started.
~You can go to Digitally Imported - addictive electronic music and for free listen to the low quality internet ambient channel if that may help you.
However since this is internet radio, you cant really rewind or anything unless you are always recording the in-stream with like VLC.

~AnerosHypnofantasy© by Nikki Fatale, An Aneros specific hypnofantasy audio recording, this recording is designed to guide an Aneros user into a mild hypnotic trance state and then induce him into an ejaculatory orgasm. You can listen to a few of the other erotic sessions for free from the 'Listen' section of the site.
^^ (i just copied that directly from the wiki)^^ (hope the link works)

The Hypnaerosession cd works wonders for me.
Does a great job of helping to relax and has a good lines and presentation to help in arousal.
I use it every time & would defiantly recommend it to anyone that needs help with thier focus or relaxation.
It may not be for everyone, and may be of no help to some, most notably gay men who are not aroused by women's voices.\

I would not say buy it the same second you buy your first aneros, rather i'd only recommend to people who could use some help on focus.

I have no information regarding new releases or updates.

[QUOTE=sensitiveguy22;99779]Oh, and as for cleaning the rectum...does it do anything towards enhancing sensation or it is just for hygenic purposes? I personally clean every time, some find no need, but it puts my mind to rest and always ensures nothing to block movement.
For aneros my cleaning is quick and easy, i have a small 2 ounce syringe (for giving cows medication i think, as i got it at a feed supply store) and a small piece of soft tubing attached to the tip.
I ffill with warm water then sit on the toilet and gently inject the warm water in, wait a few seconds then release,
I repeat this a few times (usually only takes 2-3) until i'm decidedly clean and the do a quick finger warm up.

No sadly the lube applicator is just not large enough volume to use for an enema, unless you want to hold the water in while refilling the syringe a ridiculously large number of times.
Edit: to put it into numbers here, the syringe i use for enema is 60ml, but really holds more like 70ml, the lube appilcator at most is maybe 6ml (assuming the one i have is identical to the product on aneros's site)

For a cheap enema tool, just go to CVS / Rite Aid / Wallgreens or any other similar pharmacy, get a disposable enema.
Empty out the contents, don't use the original contents, as you do not need a laxative to clean.
Rinse the bottle & nozle well a few times the refill with warm water and use.
They are designed to be disposable but used gently and cleaned often it should last a while before it wears out.

Hypnaerosession carried me through a couple of slow months when I was learning to relax and selectively focus. It has both a coaching track (CD1) and a separate track without narration (CD2) to support background for your own fantasies. The mp3 download, saved, then loaded into an armband mp3 player rather then ripping from a CD saves time and money. Play this through buds or headphones rather than speakers.

Use good quality ear buds with this media to so that the beat tones are well integtrated with the balance of the content.

Kelly Howell's catalog including Ecstacy is at link: -- Ecstasy -- . Her website includes some general information on beat tones similar to those employed in Hypnaerosession.

Aside from helping prevent colon cancer, a high fibre diet plays well with Aneros. It makes for complete bowel movements without much residue. It also helps clean out left-over lubricant. The quick enema/douche we use isn't intended to routinely correct constipation. It's only a few ounces and is aimed at clearing small particles that remain after a normal bowel movement. (pop corn kernels, granola bar fragments etc.) Some gents get by without it. I find that a gentle warm rectal rinse is a nice start to a warm sensous shower -- it also helps awakening the prostate.

For travel I've adopted an inocuous Sinus Rinse bulb (Google for NeilMed ) which, when held vertically over the toilet works very well. And, it's less expensive than most of the rectal syringes.

  • Morning,

I just wanted to suggest the MGX. I've been using it for years and have had thousands if not tens of thousands of orgasms with that model. I took a few years off and immediately had great results. I'm still rewired so the saying goes. I hope to have many more years of incredible orgasms. It usually takes a while to learn, but once you do you'll never forget and your sex life will be expanded forever. Good luck. If you have any questions just ask.
  • Holy Hell, should my body be shaking like this?!?!
  • Boy I'll have those strong pc's I've been wanting for non-ejaculatory orgasms in no time now.
  • Oh and if this much isn't already clear, I got it yesterday and had my first few sessions!

I'll report my impressions in a new thread.

Thanks for your post and welcome to the forum. We are always friendly to help you. I'm glad to hear that you are gonna buy a prostate stimulator. There are many prostate stimulator available in the store. You can choose one from there.
