Do you have to be horny for the Aneros to work? I'm never really horny. I have sex with my wife almost every day and love it. I do crave it. However, I'm never like "Oh my god. If I don't have sex right now....I'm gonna burst!". I'm in my late 30's. It's not like I'm 16 walkin around with a boner all day. LOL. I have read many times, that when you are sexually excited, your prostate is more awake. I have to say.....Most times I use my Helix.....I'm not all hot and bothered. I just do it cuz I feel like I want to. So is this limiting my ability to stimulate the prostate well enough? How bout you other guys? You do it just because, or are you raging to put that sucker in and ride like hell?

    Hello, Craig.

It helps to be horny. Nonetheless, some of my best sessions have been immediately after intercourse or a BJ. As you know, you don't have to be erect to get off with Aneros.

    Cheers,

    Dave

I feel the same way (although I"m in my 50's)
I have learned to have sex and orgasms without ejaculation (which is really the same as using the aneros) and feel that it does help to build up some pressure (if that is the correct word)
I also don't think it is necessary for everyone, as we are all a bit different.
I would recommend you read "the multi orgasmic man" it has really changed my sex life

Hey craig030713, I've not necessarily had to be "refilled" down there and hot to have sex for some great sessions and dry orgasms to come. Some of my best have come the day after great sex with my wife when I didn't feel "horny" at all in the traditional sense and some real duds have come when, as you say, I felt I was "gonna bust if I didn't get sex" thinking for sure the better response would have been then.

The only really consistent thing I've noted is they come the best if you give yourself a day or two or more in between. It took me a long time to appreciate that, but some recent schedule changes for me forced that and was it an intense and pleasant surprise.

in my case it helps to be aroused

... butt then i'm damn near always aroused LOL

just like the pleasure of having sex regularly reinforces the desire to have sex

    same with self pleasuring

... for us guys over 40 it may increase arousal by having extended non-ejaculatory orgasms - see thhn's comment - butt i can enjoy a progasm session (and bone up) after getting laid even if i do blow my load

the "refractory period" after ejaculation tends to limit a man's ability to shoot another load for a certain time period - butt the ability to get erect cums back a little quicker

... and an erection is not necessary to be aroused - how many of us leak precum from a semi or even a soft dick?

  • What about the people here that have NO or VERY LITTLE sexual experience.

Do you all think that this would be problematic in creating an arousing fantasy?

I think it would. Not knowing how a woman feels (skin, hair, textures), not ever seeing erotic parts up close or never kissing may hinder or stale any chance of recreating a realistic fantasy that brings on arousal.

I think Porn is porn and the real stuff is much better if you are into that person. Porn can remind you of past sexual experiences, however if a person has none that can't happen).

While porn can be arousing I think that A physical body in the room right there with you can bring on true arousal (5 senses (6th spiritual sense))

    Another question....
Do you think that you brain knows the difference between real and fake?

You might watch porn and not get anything out of it because subconsciously you know its not real or you are not about to engage in sexual activities.
just some thoughts related to this post...well sort of.

I can't speak for others, and it might just be that i have a crappy imagination, but i do have serious problem creating a viable fantasy that works, but i don't think that is the case for others that is inexperienced in the 'arts'. I've never had sex, never been in a relationship or kissed someone or even touched someone, so i'm guessing im missing some of the base material required. A funny side effect is that just being in the near proximity of a girl makes me horny like hell =P (but i'm guessing thats the case for all guys)

I think that the Ancients had this right when they identified the Erotic (Eros as the god) as a separate entity from Desire, Attraction and Love (Cupid as the God). The basic elements for erotic development seem hardwired into each of us, much as a Boot program for a computer may reside in firmware. It's inborn and we build on that core when we choose and execute additional stimulae to enhance our personal arousal patterns. Solitary orgasm from various masturbatory vehicles serves to accomplish this enhancement of our erotic selves. So, sexual experience with another human shouldn't be necessary for enhancement of one's own erotic core.

Formal studies in sexuality, word of mouth, and Porn establish a 'baseline' for most Humans to initiate shared erotic experiences. When those erotic experiences result in a satifactory sharing of orgasm, simple erotic behavior expands into the sexual realm and is the foundation for love (Cupid as the god).

I think there are two distinct phases in the solitary Aneros experience. The first is the extension of the inborn erotic stimuli to include the prostate. The second is to extend one's sense of self-confidence into self-desire. Then, to explore one's own attractiveness culminating in a self-love capability. The Aneros then provides the linkage between the giving-self and the receiving-self.

Humans and Bonobos possess the overt communication tools to convey to others of their species what stimuli they desire to light their erotic fire. It is this communication that enables the individual to extend their sexual side beyond fixed notions of sexual behavior and into an expression of love for another.

My own opinion: our erotic being is inborn and can be well developed by personal exercise, study, fantasy and application. That's all that's needed to support an Aneros session and culminate in a satisfactory self-love experience.

I would hazard that there are very few post-pubiscent human males who have not explored their erotic self. So, once men have experienced activation of the neurological resources surrounding their prostate, they should be capable of employing the Aneros to extend their eros. It's important though that men on the Aneros journey distinguish between the pleasure of orgasm and the physical implementation(s) of orgasm in the body (e.g. ejaculation, whole body contractions etc.)

If a man lacks basic self-stimulation experience, he should probably gain that before attempting to undertake the Aneros journey.

I find that I can't get sexually excited when I'm next to a woman unless special requirements are met. I have a sort of social shield (armoring/ See:de-armoring) I feel too tense around women BECAUSE I feel somewhat sexually excited when I'm near them. If them manage to brush up against me in a sexual manner then I do get excited and my guard falls (most of the times). Also I will never forget those sniper arousals. I was in class at work working with another teacher. She was an older Latina.in her mid 30's slim waist round butt. She was wearing jeans that day. I noticed her a bit more that day because of her jeans. Well, she was walking around the room and teaching I was working with some of the other special needs students. I was not paying attention to her at all when suddenly from behind she walked past me. I swear she was like less than a foot away from my face when she walked past. All I could see was her big round butt.

You can probably guess what happened next....

Well, with no mental sexual blockers in place I instantly became sexually excited and I don't mean erection I mean heart pound, painful testicles and a feeling that made me want to instantly drop to the floor and pass out (spaced out). I felt really wet and I had lost control of my muscles inside (example: I would not be able to do a kegel) It was almost like I was longing for her private area without knowing why; like I wanted to merge together. All of this happened in class. THAT was REAL arousal.

It took me about half a minute to recover.

A few days later I was in the same room with her, with my students and she was wearing jeans again, but I got zip, nada, nothing. Not even the hint of sexual excitement.

I think real sexual arousal is tricky and to get experience with it you have to be with a woman that will make you feel THAT way. I also think people adapt to arousal. What aroused me before does not arouse me as much now. Maybe with a good enough experience a sexual memory can be implanted for later use in creating arousal when needed.

i work in a hospital and see a lot of naked or seminaked patients of all genders and ages ...

some of whom would definitely be classified as "hot" - some actually get aroused

... however i've never allowed myself to get aroused by them

    it's sort of a self-discipline professional ethic ...

nurses and fellow employees and some docs however

    ... now that's a different matter LOL
