Helix fit question

I recently bought a Helix to augment my progasm. But I'm not sure if I've got the right fit. It feels good in there but it seems like a solid half inch of it is sticking outside of my anus? Basically right up til that first bump from the handle side. Is this the correct fit?

Just let it position itself where it "wants". In my case, though it was my beginner model, the P-tab makes little contact with my perineum--even during involuntary contractions--so I use it infrequently now.

Yup, that's correct. If it feels good, you're just fine. Helix and Eupho share a newer Aneros design wherein the tool floats in the anus and the shape is what establishes prostate contact. Think of it as automatically seeking the "right" position. The amount of 'hang out" will vary with the individual, the degree of canal stress, internal abdominal pressure and probably 50 other factors including body position and posture. I usually add a dab of thicker lube to the Helix or Eupho stem so that it will slide easily throughout an long session.

After a few months with Helix you may develop more control over the smooth muscle in your anal canal and use that to position Helix/Eupho. Work on relaxation first!

Well lubed and deeply relaxed, my breathing is all that's needed to slide Helix and tickle my prostate. OTOH, I can flex my innards, roll onto my stomach (getting a gravity assist) and deliver a pretty thorough rape-job. Nice part of this is that I've never bruised my "tonsils" with either Helix or Eupho but have done so with MGX and Progasm.

As an aside, I think Maximus is a nice mixture of the old and new technologies. It has a tapered stem but without ridges so, for guys who are in the right height ballpark it is somewhat self-adjusting. Butt, a sphincter contraction can increase penetration. (yum-yum)

Don't sweat the amount of penetration, just cherish the vibes.

Being a taller guy, my Eupho, though it is probably the most "floating" of all the models with its long gradually tapered stem, does much better for me than the Helix, perhaps due to its length.

On rare occasions when I'm ultra relaxed on my back and without much arousal, I sometimes feel what I think is the tip of Eupho falling onto, then resting on the posterior surface of my canal, where the anal canal joins the rectum. It almost feels as though it's rounded the corner across from the prostate and is ready to worm it's way onward. Another of the yummy Aneros sensations.

Early on, I'd wondered about the price premium on Eupho. After squeezing some of these delicious moments out of Eupho, I'm more appreciative of the pricing strategy.

Thanks for the input guys, good to know it's doing what it's supposed to. Now my only other issue, the P-tab only makes contact on a full contraction and its light contact not really noticeable. Should I consider modifying it? I do have access to a heat gun.

When relaxed the P-tab should barely touch your perineum. When involuntary contractions occur the P-tab should firmly press against the perineum, even more firmly than can be accomplished by doing a voluntary "pulling in" sphincter contraction, like you would use in closing the anus to hold back an urgent bowel movement. Though you can massage your prostate with voluntary sphincter contractions, it's the involuntary contractions you train yourself to do in the rewiring process that bring about the orgasmic sensations.

    Hi mogal!! :D :D

IMHO, the Helix is one of the models most sensitive to what I have called the contact geometry which depends on your particular anorectal contours and dimensions, and the particular positions you use, which can stretch and twist and turn your anatomy including your perineum's relationship to the p-tab.

The positioning of the p-tab is crucial since it acts as the stationary lever point for the pivoting light pressure massaging action intended to the aneros and necessary for the best results. I recommend experimenting with your body positions during your sessions, rather than modifying your Helix.

I have all the models except the SGX and the Helix for me is the most finicky or temperamental. Almost the only position I can be in and have it move easily is with my legs up over me, knees bent (I like the soles of my feet touching each other) all while on my back, my lower back elevated on my Liberator Wedge (what a difference that makes!!).

all the best finding your optimum position creating the best Contact Geometry for your anatomy all

Wow I just had a really interesting session and figured I'd post here instead of starting a new thread:

I was watching a close up video of a woman masturbating with really good sound, it got me really turned on. I haven't ejaculated in 4 days (which is long by my standards :) ). Anyhow I found that by not focusing on the aneros and instead on the video, I got very into it, very. It really felt like something was building up and I was twitching and shaking alot! So much so that I was having trouble keeping my hands on my nipples! I really felt like I was about to go over an edge and I felt like I kept getting hints of orgasm that lasted a second or two. Now the odd thing is that I didn't notice the p-waves exactly, but I was getting feelings very similar to what I remember from just learning to masturbate when I was young with that sense of "what lies beyond the edge". Yet it also seemed very unfamiliar to what I am used to when masturbating with my penis. I'm not sure what exactly the aneros was doing to be honest I was more focused on the arousal and got wrapped up in it. These were very strong, deep feelings of arousal I was feeling, way different than normal for me.

Is that all a good sign, I certainly am quite pleased :)
