It took me about 10 months. Do three or so sessions a week if possible, none of which need be necessarily long (I never went over about 30 to 40 minutes) warming the massager before lubricating and inserting it. Relax and breathe slowly about 10 minutes lying on your back with your knees up and relaxed apart some, then put a small pillow under your butt and do gentle PC contractions, the ones you use to cut off your urine flow midstream, holding them about 20 seconds, then relaxing completely about 20 seconds.

Gently contract and relax like this about 10 or 20 times in a session "listening" carefully during the contractions to what your anal sphincter is wanting to do. With practice (it took me a couple months) you'll start to feel quivering anal spasms during contractions and the art is to "feed" and amplify these with subtle PC contractions until they become almost automatic and produce an involuntary (that is, you're not controlling it) contraction in your rectum that sucks in and pulls the massager snugly against your prostate gland. (It took me another couple months to get to this stage).

From there, the journey is to identify and begin enjoying warm pre-orgasmic sensations that build up in your pelvis during these involuntary contractions and eventually in sessions spread like they're flowing into your penis where they'll almost burn like you're wanting to orgasm really badly but can't quite do so (reaching this stage took me another four months). Eventually in sessions the orgasmic sensation will reach the point where it fully feels like you're having the most intense ejaculating feeling you've ever had, but nothing is coming out, i.e., a dry or prostatic orgasm. The deeply relaxing and pleasurable sensation your body experiences with this type orgasm has given rise to the descriptive term "super orgasm" often used to refer to this entire response to prostate massage.

Hope this helps you understand you are but beginning a long and enjoyable new experience in understanding your body's sexual responsiveness.

    Hello Thisryan, :)

Slimjim has given you some very good advice. In my own opinion, frequent Aneros sessions are really important to making progress. As you learn and re-wire much quicker than the occasional Aneros session.

Have you gotten to the point where your anus is physically relaxed enough that you do not feel any discomfort and hardly notice it in you? This was a key step for me to discover early on in my own Aneros journey. As I hardly noticed much pleasurable sensations until I reached this point.

Also, I would highly suggest you start practicing stimulating your nipples during your Aneros sessions. This is a really helpful technique. Although if you are not familiar with it. Just realize it can take a little practice in several sessions before your nipples wake up and suddenly become sensitive.

One other aspect that slimjim didn't mention, is that you need to be aroused during your Aneros session. So find something that arouses you just prior and during your session. It could be porn, your partner stimulating you everywhere but your penis, a hot sexual fantasy, whatever does it for you. Use your imagination.

Last but not least, don't stimulate your penis during an Aneros session. Your trying to discover the subtle prostate and anal sensations, and penile stimulation will easily overpower these. See the following forum thread:
    http://www.aneros.com/forum/f5/penis-not-13035/

And if you do masturbate to a super-T during an Aneros session, don't make a habit of it. Keep it as an occasional treat.

    Hello Slimjim, :)

Thank you for posting this. As it verifies the burning sensation I sometimes get in my prostate when highly aroused in an Aneros session. And that I noticed this same sensation prior to my so far one and only mini-O. It's good to know that this is a positive sign.

Sorry I failed to mention the benefits of nipple stimulation once you begin experiencing sensations in sessions. Light, wispy, tickling of your nipples greatly amplifies anal flutters and involuntary contractions and ultimately the resultant orgasmic sensations. I too am a proponent of completely avoiding penile stimulation and traditional ejaculation in relation to sessions.

Having normal levels of sexual arousal is of course helpful, though for me, just being relaxed is the main thing that leads to a successful session. There may be differences for some guys in this regard, and for instance I don't do porn, but it can be possible for excessive sexual arousal to distract you from discovering the subtle prostate sensations when they're trying to come.
  • It took me 2 years to reach an orgasm. By the way, the more you want it to happen, the less likely that is will happen in my experience. Keep your minds eye off the aneros and fantasize.
  • I just put this link over on Myturn's thread. Cave of Mystery's advice was extremely helpful to me:

Woodsman, lemme just say that I will read the thread I create at the weekend. I could not do justice to the people who tried to help if I just skimmed their answers.

OK, yesterday's session was a non-event. I have just installed a lock (makeshift-esque) on my door, so I can have some privacy. I fell asleep at 9pm and woke up 10.30 which would allow me to stay up later to do some late night Anerosing while my mum sleeps next door. I really don't want her awake when I'm doing this. Anyway, I followed the Wiki regarding contractions closer than ever before. All that happened was my arousal fell off.

I gave a few penis strokes (and was tempted just to have a traditional O and call it a day), then got back to light contractions. I did have a few seconds where the Aneros seemed to "squirm" a little because of my anal muscles and the contraction, but that died after some seconds.

After another baseline contraction marathon, I did have like 5 seconds of involuntary contractions which felt good, but they never last!

A session that goes nowhere is demotivating and unarousing - no: DE-AROUSING. So I turned over and went to sleep. In that hour, I had probably 5 seconds of anything remotely feeling good, and about another 10 seconds of anything even happening, moving, or giving me any slight feedback at all that I actually may have a prostate!

Involuntary contractions are my biggest failure. Even after thirteen months at this I have not had more than a minute's worth. The only time I can generate a little anal muscle spasm is when I take a deep breath during a session. When I inhale there are some nice little twitches, but then nothing. I hope you have better luck with them than I have had.
  • Hi slimjm,

I have experienced this stage of the journey:

From there, the journey is to identify and begin enjoying warm pre-orgasmic sensations that build up in your pelvis during these involuntary contractions and eventually in sessions spread like they're flowing into your penis where they'll almost burn like you're wanting to orgasm really badly but can't quite do so (reaching this stage took me another four months).

How long did it take you to achieve the next part:

Eventually in sessions the orgasmic sensation will reach the point where it fully feels like you're having the most intense ejaculating feeling you've ever had, but nothing is coming out, i.e., a dry or prostatic orgasm. The deeply relaxing and pleasurable sensation your body experiences with this type orgasm has given rise to the descriptive term "super orgasm" often used to refer to this entire response to prostate massage.

Any tips? Any further differentiation you can provide to this stage? I would appreciate the advice.

    Thanks!!

It took 2 months from the time I first experienced warm orgasmic feelings building up in my pelvis to when I could feel burning in my penis like I wanted to ejaculate but couldn't. Then it was another 3 months before I had my first real "like I was spurting all over myself" ejaculating feeling though I was completely dry. That was 4 months ago and I have these vivid ejaculating like dry orgasms about every fifth or so session, the others feeling good and relaxing, but not that intense. Still trying to understand what makes the difference. Hope that helps you some.
