    Hi Guys and Girls

So I've made some progress. As described by the WIKI milestone description I think I am about here. So this is what I did. I tried to use the Peridise for a couple of nights. As I mentioned in my previous posts this Model was the first one to bring me involuntary contractions. I used this model to train myself to maintain a small contraction. I then moved to the SGX and now I have no real tangible sensations with the Peridise.

On Wednesday I lubed up the sgx and relaxed for about an hour, with very small shallow contraction. This was all done on my back feet flat knees bent while watching TV.

I switched on some porn and had some very nice feelings as described in the heading of this post. I then remembered while reading through the "My first super-O" post that many people had great success with lying on their sides with top leg bent and bottom straight. So I moved to this position.
The only downside IMHO is that the Aneros doesn't move as freely, but I felt a lot more than when on my back.
I felt like what others describe as "P-waves" come over me. It felt like pleasure started very small and gradually increased to a very pleasurable sensation where my eyes rolled back and my toes curled. But there is where it stopped. A little frustrating but I was soooo happy I was making some progress. I tried to take the advice from some people who said that I must just relax and ride the wave. But as I relaxed it seemed to move the Anaros away from the spot that was causing these great feelings. Then I would contract again and feel the wave building again.
What do you guys do when you feel these sensations. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Peace

    D
  • I'm right with you there. I had a similar session today with my sgx. I would have had something bigger, but the roommates came in AGAIN. One more night and I could have my own room again.

I have a secret though, but I'm not telling yet..... unless you all guess.

    Clue: think Ice progasm bundle.

    congratulations!

Thanks for your reply Indigenous_author, Just a little hill to climb and where there. I think people are inherently lazy, so not enough time is spent practising patients and working through the milestones (myself included) but I am changing the way I think.

    Cheers

  • Hey Diesel,

I had the same situation you have about a month ago. When I'd start to feel the p-wave coming on, I'd get tense so I'd focus on relaxing; but the big thing I noticed is that my breathing would stop. See this post:

    http://www.aneros.com/forum/ever-good-to-hold-your-breath-t3594.html?highlight=holding%20breathe

I had some great progress the other night by focusing on my breathing.

    Hope this helps.

    Hello Diesel2215, :)

That's great that you are making some progress!
    A word of caution though...
Don't make the same mistake I did with the laying on your side position. In this position your penis inevitably ends up rubbing against whatever you are laying on. Even if slightly. That's all it needs to distract and trick you into thinking your feeling pleasure from the prostate. It was a very hard habit for me to break, because it was the only way I was getting pleasure at the time.

  • I have noticed that when my penis is inhibited by something, such as pants those feedback feelings don't "arise". I have also noticed that there are different types of involuntary contractions when using the Aneros. 1 the kind that makes the penis erect and makes it feel like it is ejaculating. 2 the kind that feels like something is directly pulling the insides of my testicles in a pleasurable way. Sometimes the feelings happen simultaneously.

Hi Love_is always good to hear from you. I agree with the penis stimulation situation. But when I lay on my sit I have a pillow under my bent leg, this way my penis doesn't touch anything.
Thanks for the warning though. I will make sure not to let that happen. The feeling I get comes from inside my body and has nothing to do with my penis. Just that flutter you get involuntarily when your penis almost flutters (if that makes any sense).

@Indigenous_author I have never had an erection while busy with a session. Only if I stimulate my member with my hand, and I know I must do that

@Exploring09 thanks for the link I will definitely take a look.

    Thanks again

Hi Diesel2215, congrats on your progress. I would really think of it as progress and pat yourself on the back. Something is better than nothing, it will only get better! :)

One question for you. In the past when you were intimate with a lover, did you have thoughts about trying to last longer? I think all men have, but the reason I ask is you may have developed a habit along these lines that is impeding your progress now.

Were I'm going with this is in order to last longer in the traditional sense of sex for a man, we tend to think about baseball, work, or anything that gets you out of the mood or turns you off, not completely but just enough to last longer. After many years of doing this it becomes habit. We think non-sexy thoughts automatically without knowing it in the pursuit of lasting longer, which does make us happy when we are with the lady. The trigger for this habit is the feeling of pleasure. Once it feels good, the mind says woaw, we need to last longer and starts to wander on us. When it comes to pleasure with the aneros, we need to stay 100% focused on what we are feeling for it to grow and stay pleasurable.

I've noticed the moment my mind wanders in an aneros session, so does the pleasure. Because this was a habit, just like driving a car, I didn't realize I was on autopilot or even doing this. I couldn't figure out why every time it started to feel good, it always stopped shortly thereafter. I would go through many cycles of good - nothing - good - nothing in a session. It drove me nuts!

The position of the aneros is certainly important; I feel the "position" of the mind is more important. If your mind isn't in the correct "position" it doesn't matter where the aneros is.

Until I figured this out, I found porn to be an invaluable tool to keep my mind on track. Now it seems to be more of a distraction. Perhaps that should be milestone in the wiki? lol perhaps not.

    I hope this helps.

    Enjoy the journey,
    Marty
  • I wish that I had some alone time. I would have had a super-o for sure today. The pre-ejaculate became very apparent at the stage that I was at. I had STRONG p-waves for about one minute and the sensations were growing VERY fast. The next thing I know the lock on the door started rattling and I had to put "it" away (quickly). I had to leave the room and masturbate because the sensations continued as the roomies walked in the door. The last thing that I wanted was to loose control of my body in front of people.

    But it was GREAT,
    A FIRST WITH THE SGX!

    but...

Old news to my peridise models.

note: The sensations were different somehow, It kind of felt too intense almost painful, like the ***** massager.

I don’t think that it’s be too long now.

    Hi Diesel2215, :)

I'm glad to hear you've found a way to make it so your penis does not touch anything while on your side. I may have to try that technique with the pillow under the bent leg. Thanks for the idea.

    Hi MartyB, :)

This last post of yours is fantastic!!! And I agree entirely with it. But I still find it difficult to practice keeping my mind focused. But at least it verifies what I've been suspecting for a while. And you were able to put it into words. Thank you! This post alone should be a golden nugget!

so what' the secret in keeping your mind focused during your sessions? I have a very hard time with that.
I find porn, with the sound turned off works for me. when I lose focus, I just open my eyes and sometimes a quick glimpse of porn will bring me back.
there must be some techniques in keeping focused?

Firstly I would like to apologize for not responding to the excellent replies that I have received. I only managed to read my replies when I got into the office today (Monday)

Thank you MartyB and Thhn for your invaluable advice. It is greatly appreciated.
@Love_is I will pay more attention to any stimulation that may occur.

Wow I have just read Pan's posts on "The five minutes leading up to a Super-O" and I definitely need to try this.

    Thanks Again

What worked for me was this: Every time I felt pleasure, I would stop for a moment and think to myself, "This is your pleasure, relax and enjoy it." At first I would "catch" the feeling of pleasure well after my mind had wondered and the pleasure was gone. So I was saying "This is your pleasure…" to no pleasure at all, this is ok, continue to do it. Don’t think it is too late at this point and skip it. As you continue to practice this, you will "catch" the pleasure closer and closer to the actual moment of pleasure. One day you will "catch" your pleasure before your old non-productive habit does and you will find your mind hasn’t had a chance to wonder, nor will it. Once you reach this point you can kiss that old habit good bye :)

It takes time and many attempts for this to happen. The important part is to follow though with your mantra, every time, as soon as possible. Your mantra can be anything you want. Before too long, this will be the only thought on your mind the moment you feel any pleasure at all. Last week the GF gave me a back massage, it felt good, can you guess what popped into my head?

Reprogramming your brain on the journey,
    Marty

So do you mean I must "savour" the moment. And even if I do not feel any pleasure I must act as if I am experiencing the pleasure anyway.

Sorry not used to Mantra talk lol.

Marty, this post in full, and the next one of yours in this important thread, are both really great! :D

Your suggestion that the shift in one's experience using porn from it being arousal to it becoming a distraction is, IMHO, an extremely important one, essential to getting to the next level. Thank you for that inflection and the both/and nature of your open ended comments on this. 8)

In saying this I don't mean that we necessarily go off into pure non-sexual energetic ecstasies and leave our original sex-focus behind. Butt, anyone who chooses can do that, or one can shift along the sex/jing<>lifeforce/chi<>spiritual/shen spectrum as one chooses, when one chooses, when you have a fully integrated energetics practice; to which Aneros can be a very effective physical key!

alv also does a beautiful job of making this point in his first post in esfenoides great thread: http://www.aneros.com/forum/non-erotic-orgasms-aneros-can-be-non-sexual-t4286.html

so, all the best over the "porn where necessary, butt not necessarily porn" fulcrum point all

Athletes in training use visualization as a key performance accelerator and confidence builder. Go to the ski hill you are going to later giant slalom, stand at the top and visualize yourself making your full run down that great slope! Entrain that visualized experience in your mind. Feel every muscle and nerve make every move in you as you make every move in your visualized best run of your life! Replay it. Rehearse it. Use it to prime yourself as you are again there at the top of the hill and all your team and supporters and competitors are there to as you are about to actually do it. Feel it as you release into it, the real run, and let all that memory skill smooth the way and suck you into the best possible version of it you and your body/mind will be able to physically do on that day! :D 8)

High level sports of many many kinds are essentially mind games with a healthy trained body.
Aneros is a mind game with the best of whatever body you've got!

Memory, actual remembering, actually fires the same neuronal pathways as actually doing. Using your memories of your best, actually plays a big role in rewiring. We now know with our brains, its use the circuits or lose the circuits. Memory use and mantras as MartyB describes actually builds circuits as you rewire. Yes friends, savour your best moments and they can lead you to even better ones!

We are NOT! competing for gold medals! We can however, deeply relaxed, fully open to our body/minds without any specific expectations, knowing and accepting that our journey will be some combination of incoming experiences unique to me and me alone, as well as those shared with my partner if I am so fortunate, and allowing our body energies to express themselves as they will, we can remember and entrain our memories, always adding the best new ones, and visualize our way back to the best to date, and on to even better as we journey onward...

I believe that savouring your best can become a better way to have your body/mind build arousal during the middle period (or any time!) of building/encouraging your practice.

savour the flavour your senses deliver, listen to/for your body's liveliness, and savour its music

Very well put artform. Visualization is a very powerful tool. I've had success at points in my journey with it, and at other times I was at a loss for what to visualize. I feel my suggestion falls short when compared to the full power visualization can offer you, but on the flip side it is effective and can be easier for some to master.

I suggest you create a trigger or key in your mind that when triggered causes a thought, of your choosing, to enter your consciousness. At first you will "catch" this trigger point much later than you had originally set out to do. Little by little as you continue to practice, you will get closer and closer to this trigger point until your thought exists in your mind as the trigger is happening. That's it! You don't have to feel anything or be in any frame of mind. You are working towards replacing your mind wandering with this thought or phrase. At first it is a manual process, your mind will give you conscious control as you have asked it to do. When it does: You will feel like it is decision time. I have to think now. I've asked for control and my mind has given it to me, now what? Think your phrase, nothing more. That is all you wanted to do. After a while your mind doesn't need to give you control anymore when the trigger happens, because it knows what you are going to do: Think your phrase, so your mind thinks your phrase for you and you can once again stay out of the loop. When you reach this point, your mind will no longer wander and every time you feel pleasure, this thought will simply exist in your mind. You might even forget it's there. "Oh yea, that's always there, I forgot about it."

Feelings are secondary to this process. You can explore the feelings evoked by your thought before or after it becomes automatic (habit). What you're feeling doesn't play a critical role in purging the old habit with a better one.

:!: Warning: It is possible to include emotions alone without any thought in a habit. This realization can be dangerous as we can cause ourselves to have emotions and feelings and not know why or where they are coming from. It is best to think "the thought comes before the emotion"; this is the first step in taking control of our feelings and emotions. I would discourage tucking away an emotion in an automatic response, we don't always know what we are feeling, but we do know what we are thinking when we are in control and choosing our thoughts. I feel it would be safer to "store" only thoughts and let our feelings and emotions be created later, based on how we interpret these thoughts.

    I've always liked this quote:

Be careful of your thoughts, for your thought become your words.
Be careful of your words, for your words become your actions.
Be careful of your actions, for your actions become your habits.
Be careful of your habits, for your habits become your character.
Be careful of your character, for your character becomes your destiny.

I digress, back to exploring feelings before you've turned your newly learned behavior into a habit.

Thoughts are usually accompanied by feelings. Thoughts like "that feels good" may elicit pleasure. Thoughts like "Relax" may help us relax or feel relaxed and at ease. You don't have to worry about the feelings at first, they will eventually come naturally after the thought does.

So do you mean I must "savour" the moment. And even if I do not feel any pleasure I must act as if I am experiencing the pleasure anyway.

Sorry not used to Mantra talk lol.

    D

Don't worry about doing the mantras right or wrong. Anything you tell yourself over and over is a mantra. It's that easy.

->must<-</font> "savour" - no, you are not required to feel nor do you want to force yourself to feel that you are savoring the experience. You do however, want to savor the experience, this is why you are telling yourself to savor or enjoy it. If you feel you are great! If not, tell yourself you want to. Over time the feelings associated with savoring the moment will be felt when the thought is present in your mind. Forcing what you want is counterproductive, wanting it is enough, do this with thought.

If you keep telling your mind to do something, when it figures out what you are asking for, it does it.

And even if I do not feel any pleasure I must act as if I am experiencing the pleasure anyway. This one is twofold. At some point you did feel pleasure, that is why the trigger or key was tripped and you find yourself in control, the music paused and the spotlight on you. Now is the time to simply repeat your phrase and hit the autopilot button. The music continues, the spotlight is off and you are back to watching the show.

If you are not feeling pleasure because the spotlight turned on late, you want to acknowledge the pleasure that turned it on, even though you don't feel it anymore.

The other fold to your statement is acting like you are experiencing something, even though you are not, can in some cases actually create what you are imagining! I like to use the phrase, "If you really want something bad enough, all you have to do is will it into existence."

The phrase or thought I used to help me replace my pleasure killing habit is: "This is your pleasure, relax and enjoy it." The first part serves to help me not only acknowledge the pleasure I'm feeling, but also instruct my mind as to when I want this thought in my mind. "This" right here and now, I want control when I'm actually feeling the pleasure. When starting out, this won't be the case. I feel it is helpful to take yourself back to when you felt the pleasure, recreate that moment for just a bit in your mind when you think your phrase to yourself. If you find taking yourself back difficult, just know the reason you are in control is because you felt pleasure. When you think "This is my pleasure," you are referring to the pleasure that gave you control. Your mind will understand. The rest of my phrase is simple. I get excited when I feel pleasure and new sensations, so relax, just thinking it will help. Finally, enjoy it. If the pleasure has passed, no biggie, don’t sweat it. Telling myself to enjoy the pleasure will help me enjoy the next round of pleasure that much more, until I'm thinking “enjoy it” while I'm feeling it.

Some may say an aneros session is about letting go, or giving up control. How can actively asking your mind to take control help? And once you get this control how do you give it back so the spotlight isn't always on me?

Excellent questions! You must take control, just as you did when you developed the pleasure killing habit, to learn a new behavior that, through repetition, will become a new habit and replace the old one. There's no other way around the control issue. How do you give control back so you can stay 100% on autopilot during a session? Simple, just keep doing the same thing every time the spotlight is on you, before long you are doing it without thinking about it and you won't even realize you are doing it, just like the original habit might be for you now.

For talking about a non-visual method to achieve your goals, there sure are a lot of visuals in here :)

Practice your new learned behavior and enjoy your new habits on your journey,
    Marty

Wow MartyB and Arform thank you so very much for taking the time to put into words what I can only explain as excellent advice. I find that I need to read your posts more than once to grasp what you eloquent writers are trying to explain.

Your time and effort is greatly appreciated.
