  • I am so confused...... :(

I was expecting something so much more. I ordered my MGX and was so excited to get it and try it out based on all of the amazing testimonials I had read. I'm used to anal play. I've stuck much larger things up there in order to increase my arousal and orgasms. This thing was no problem at all at inserting. Once in, I lay there for an hour waiting for something... ANYTHING. Nothing came. Not even pre-cum.

    Here's what's confusing...

Upon taking it out I realized that once it was half out the head hit what I'm pretty damn sure is my prostate. I used the handle to wobble it a little on that spot and it was definitely pleasurable. Now, I am 5'10" and assumed up to this point that my anatomy is the same as every other guy... but after discovering this it almost seems like my prostate is WAY lower than it should be. The perineum tab didn't even deliver ANY pressure to the area either...

What the hell is going on? I'm really depressed about this....

Can someone please reply to this?.... I would really appreciate it. I feel like I'm really missing out on something amazing.

    Hello Divinorum1111, :)

Not everyone gets results early on regardless of prior anal experience. The guys that do, tend to be the minority as I understand it.

You have to understand that while initial insertion is the same, using an Aneros prostrate massager is a completely different concept than using butt plugs and dildos.

While it's possible that your anatomy is a little different. It's much more likely in my mind, that like most beginners, you have to take the time and practice to go through "re-wiring" to start to feel pleasurable sensations with your MGX. On top of that, making the expectation that you were going to orgasmically blow a gasket from the first time you used your MGX was a bad start. And only helped you feel let down and depressed afterwards. We generally talk in the forums about not making expectations of the Aneros session as being highly important to making progress.

Have you read through the Aneros WIKI and the links to certain threads that rumel sent you via private message?

    http://wiki.malegspot.com/

This is a process that takes time for some people. It's been almost two years for me, and no super-O yet. Don't let yourself be so depressed over this. You've just started out. What's your hurry? Relax, and enjoy the journey as you progress in your Aneros experience.

I'm only at session #5 and a goodly distance behind and but they speak my language on this.

I've used the SGX a couple of times but the Helix is my best fit. (SGX just barely touches unless I give it a big more.)

I went through three sessions with just simple contractions and some lube errors. Finally on session #4, the lube was right and I'd gained some sphincter muscle. I managed to shift from simple contractions to what I call "positional awareness" and I was able to manuever the Helix vertically and fore-and-aft. Got a circular motion going and was stroking my prostate with gentle rubbing rather than "jabbing" and shoving. --- good stuff!! Repeated it with the SGX and even though it didn't have the bulk or length of the helix I could get some nice 'rubbing' out of it.

Here's how I think I got there. I was on my back doing simple contractions and relaxing and suddenly realized that I had contact between the helix and the back wall of my rectum. It was just resting there. With anal contractions and pelvic bear-downs (see glossary in Wiki), I was able to rub the posterior rectal wall -- also good stuff!

Over on my belly, I was able to contract/bear-down and rub my prostate --- really good stuff.

Within a couple of minutes I had good co-ordination between my anal contractions and my belly and pelvic muscles. By the end of the helix session, I was beginning to gain lateral control of the helix. Then I had the first decent experience while laying on my side.

I swapped out the Helix for the SGX gained the same 3-D control of the SGX. The amount of control of SGX (and I'd suspect of an MGX) was impressive. I was able to also reposition the SGX by bearing down, shoving it outward a bit and then 'regrabbing' a new spot on the ribbed stem. There's nothing like that on the Helix. I suspect I'd have been able to do the same with the MGX or PGX tools.

Remember that, at the top of the ribbed area, the stem smooths out and if you are still bearing down you can eject the whole MGX when you hit that smooth surface.

  • The more you expect the less you will get from the aneros. Try it expecting nothing then put it away for a week or two.

Don't manipulate it with you hand  , it doesnt work like a dildo.

 Find a lube that works for you. I reccomend probe thick and rich.

The aneros works on its own with little assistance from you. You are gonna need a lot of patience and it will pay off in the long run. :D

    .........slow down and good luck
  • Don't you think it's weird that the head of the smallest model (besides the SGX) seemed to PASS my prostate and rest upon the rectal wall above it?

I understand not to use your hands, and my sphincter muscles are pretty toned through keggel exercises. I've also read pretty much all content on this website and on the wiki page.

My confusion comes from what seems to be a massager that fits a guys rectum perfectly to massage the prostate directly in all the side anatomy pictures I've seen, and the fact that my prostate seems to be much lower. It seems like it needs to pivot more in order to push down on the rectal wall to reach it.

Is this the way it's supposed to be?

Upon taking it out I realized that once it was half out the head hit what I'm pretty damn sure is my prostate.

I've experienced something similar to what you are talking about. I've noticed this the most in the middle of a session when I'm changing aneros models. When inserting the aneros, I like to go as slow as possible just to enjoy all of the sensations it provides. I relax and see how long I can get the aneros to stay half inserted. I hover my finger over the aneros to monitor any movement either in or out of my rectum. Any spincter tension will usually cause the aneros to pop out or be drawn in depending on how far it is inserted. I like to use this as a gauge of my tension level. If I can maintain a well lubed/half inserted aneros for a minute or so, I know I'm relaxed and ready to continue.

I've noticed strong prostate sensations leading up to and durring this half way balancing act. One thing I don't feel at this point is any pressure on my bladder. When the aneros is fully inserted, I continue to feel pressure on the prostate, equal to or more than at the 1/2 way point, but I also feel pressure on my bladder unless I have just emptied it. At first the badder sensations distracted me away from feeling the sensations on my prostate. Sometimes I feel both and it isn't a distraction.

Divinorum, if your prostate is lower than average you will easily be able to massage its full length with your finger. I'm 6'0" 220lbs, and I can just barely reach the edge of my prostate with my middle finger. It took me a while to find it, it's way in there, almost painful to your hand as you have to bend and contort it to reach. I can tell I'm reaching my prostate by what my prostate feels and the texture I feel with just my finger tip, not the pad (the pad is where your finger print is). I just get the second knuckle of my finger past my sphincter at this point to reach my prostate. I think it's important to feel the texture of the prostate with your finger to know you've found it. With all of the probing inside, your bound to exert some pressure on the prostate one way or another, don't be misled by this. When I hold up my finger next to the aneros (MGX) and compare lengths, with my 2nd knuckle at the last ridge on the stem where it would be in my anus when fully inserted, the pad on my finger almost perfectly matches bulge in the middle of the aneros. This tells me the center of my prostate will land above the bulge (the widest part of the aneros MGX in the middle of it) and fit almost perfectly in the recessed area just above the middle bulge. I hope I've explained this well.
  • Yes, you've explained it well.

I'm still going to be very disappointed if the aneros doesn't work for my "specific anatomy?".

I've tried to find my prostate with my finger and I've never been able to tell where it is...

I don't know. This is stupid..

Do you think it's possible that I just need to spend more time with it? It really seems like the aneros is too long and goes past my prostate, but I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this problem in the beginning only to discover that it's normal and that it eventually works just fine.

In the beginning I felt nothing. Absolutely nothing. If I squeezed my sphincter as hard as humanly possible while lying on my stomach I could feel *something* but couldn't maintain that level of exertion for longer than 5-10 seconds. I remember thinking, "this can't be what they are talking about..." I was a trooper, I tried and tried for a month before I deep shelved the aneros for another 6 months. When I came back to it, I decided to appreciate and acknowledge everything I felt. I realized it may be a year or more before I felt any pleasure. This time I was willing to accept anything! Anything would be better than the absolute nothing I had experienced before. What I didn't know at the time was that I was ignoring all of the subtle sensations I needed to focus on. When you acknowledge and look at small sensations or feelings (yes emotional feelings count) you notice them more and they begin to grow, it's easier to experience them again. After a while it was these sensations that grew into pleasure. Looking back, I ignored them because they didn't feel pleasurable. Most of the time I didn't even realize I was ignoring them, my brain was filtering them out for me out of habit; I went into the experience looking for pleasure, big mistake. The level of pleasure a beginner should be looking for at first is about the same you feel when your significant other gives you a gentle hug, if you can relate to that. Look for that hug as subtle as it might be and in a few days turn it into a big hug, then enjoy your journey from there.

I was so convinced that I could make this thing (aneros) work based on my knowledge and past experiences it took me a month of trying in vain, six months to cool down and realize I was powerless, I can't make this work, and decided to try the journey approach, I didn't care how long it takes. I haven't been happier :D

    Hi Divinorum111!

In the spirit of experimentation and discovery, might I suggest a fun little experiment that I have used for a change of pace, in the past???

I made a couple of "spacers" about 3/4 to an inch in length out of a section of silicone rubber sex toy.
A Fleshlight, (from the very end of the shaft) to be exact, but any soft rubbery, tube-like piece would do, I guess???

Any way, I just slipped the soft, squishy, spacer over an Anerose that still has the arm and tail attached
and lube up with H2O based lube and slipped it in till it hits the spacer!

It then limits the depth that the Aneros enters your anus and acts as a nice feeling, springy buffer for your tush! This makes it feel totally different and hits home at a spot much closer to the anus entry!

If I use the longer spacer I either have to keep pushing it back in, or I usually lay on my back to keep it inside. (some interesting feelings, when it springs against your hole!)

I have discovered some of my favs, by experimenting and I know others like to use your curiosity to invent new enhancements for their units, as well!

    Hlaser,

Very interesting idea! Do you find that the tip of the Aneros makes contact with the edge of your prostate, the anterior wall of your rectum or is it suspended up in space?

    Divinorum,

Hlaser's idea may something to check into. One other thing. Although I generally caution people about using manual intervention with the Aneros, for purposes of exploration the following might be worthwhile. Insert the unit, give it a moderate contraction, then take your hand and gently rock the Aneros forward. While holding that forward canted position, slowly start to draw the Aneros out of your rectum paying attention to any and all sensations.

With this method, you should be able to confirm the position of your prostate. It is possible that the SGX may be a better fit for you.

    Brilliant idea hlaser99!!!

I have a Fleshlight, and just thinking about how wonderfully soft and springy that material must feel as a "spacer" is giving me shivers! LOL!

If you have the time, I would love to see some pics of your design. It sounds truly inspiring.

I was actually going to recommend the Peridise model (beginner's set) to Divinorum1111 as a shorter range stimulator (and still do), but I have to admit, hlaser99's idea sounds like a lot more fun!

Also, I think MartyB is offering some real pearls of wisdom here. Learning to put aside expectations and appreciate the extremely subtle sensations of the early sessions truly is one of the fastest routes to the Super-O. As he says, the more you acknowledge and enjoy those tiny little feelings in the beginning, the more they grow, nurtured by your awareness, until one day they become something far more than you ever dreamed of. This is the process of "re-wiring" that is so frequently referred here in the forum. It often requires time and patience, but pays for itself many times over in the long run.

Something to keep in mind is that the goal is paradoxically not to stimulate your prostate with the Aneros, but rather to allow the Aneros to help you develop a whole new erotic awareness of your prostate that is ultimately, intensely orgasmic. It is that erotic awareness that fuels your multi-orgasmic potential and ability. The Aneros is like a form of training wheels to get you there. Once you have achieved that level of awareness, the device itself becomes optional.

You may have noticed in the forum practitioners talking about "aneros-less sessions," experiences in which they enjoy full-blown, multiple orgasms without using the Aneros or any physical stimulation at all. But rather by simply relaxing and tuning into the ever-present, orgasmic sensations of their prostate. The difference between here and there is simply in learning to become aware of those sensations. The Aneros can help you get there, by acting as a guide, but it is actually your mind and body that makes the journey.

Just remember, the journey of a thousand Super-O's begins with a single moan.

  • Thanks for all the insight everyone. :)

To me it sounds like some form of tantra. The aneros-less orgasms sound to me somewhat reminiscent of tuning into your sacral chakra in order to unlock hidden pleasure.

Then again, I'm sure the prostate and sacral chakra are energetically related at the highest level.

I get what all of you are saying. I will keep trying and focus more on the subtle sensations. I'm really hoping my anatomy is not different though. I would really like to get that prostate massage.

hlaser99: Also, I have two fleshlights, but I'm a bit confused on the whole "spacer concept".

B Mayfield: I would have expected the SGX to be more suitable for shorter guys (hence, the asian market), but do you think my anatomy could possibly be better suited for it? DAMN. If so I'll deal with it, but I REALLY wanted to try the Progasm once I became more experienced.

    Hey ALL!

    Hi Brian!

It hits on the same side as the prostate, but just further down.

    Hi Pan!
    Thanks for the kind words!

If I have done this correctly, the link below should allow you to download
a .jpg of the Aneros/Spacer Set-Up??? (good for 7 days only...)

Please let me know if this works OK???

Yo i think the same thing...like the aneros goes just a tad to far....after reading this i tryed it and it worked perfectly....LOL
  • I didn't get around to trying it because I tried talking to a few more people about it. Turns out I just needed more lube and removal of the handle.

    It works much better now.

Divinorum1111 I know just how you feel and all these responses sound good but here is what I have experienced.

I only have 3 questions I have read every thing everybody has to say on how to use the Aneros MGX and I know I have to be patient and I am more than willing to put the time in. I have only used the Aneros 2 times now but I guess after waiting a week to get it and reading all the good response I can’t help but feel like something’s not right. The first question I have is does it help to have your prostate full of fluid in other words not to have ejaculated for a while, say a week to a month? The second question I have is does the other models put more pressure on the prostate. I notice a lot of people using the Helix model. I know the device is in the right spot to hit my prostate because I did the measurements with my finger and compared it to the device but I do just like the instructions say and lay there and relax but I feel no real pleasure or pressure on my prostate. I think I could just lay there and go to sleep. I know in one testimony a guy said he just about did and that is when he started having involuntary contractions. So I might try that next going to bed with it in, has any body else tried that. That brings be to my third question do most people have to contract voluntary or does it at some point start to work involuntary. I know the instructions say to make small slow contractions but I read a lot of people saying that it has a mind of it’s own. Thank you for your help.

Hi Divnorum111 I experience the same thing. When I insert the Aneros I too fell it slip past my prostrate. What I do believe though is what you are feeling is the tip of the Aneros sliding against your Prostrate. Correct me if I am wrong but if this is true the rest of the Aneros (The body) is lying against your Prostrate, and this is the subtle massaging that you are looking for. The actual body of the Aneros rubs against your Prostrate not the tip . Pan and the others could you please confirm my analogy. Not sure if I am getting it correct.
