Exciting progress!!!
  • Let's see, I guess I purchased my first aneros(helix) in January of 2008, so I've been a user for just over a year now and still haven't achieved a super o(I own every model but the sgx). The last two months of this year have been crazy, and I've noticed some very positive signs and changes in my rewiring. From Oct.-Dec. 08, I noticed my moaning increase uncontrollably during my sessions, which was very arousing and shocking, because I've never been vocal at all during your standard ejaculatory orgasm(I've always been completely silent). I never knew I had the ability to vocalize that way. A standard rolled up sock was all I really needed to suppress and mute my pleasure calls.

January 2009- Well, my moaning started to get out of control, increased almost 3X the volume, and my tube socks couldn't suppress the noise anymore. What started out as refreshing and exciting soon became a major problem and a hindrance during my sessions. The house we rent has terribly thin and poorly insulated walls, and the whole house has wooden floors, no carpet. I tried adding a lot of rugs, especially my room, but sound really carries in this house. I'm usually forced to have my sessions late at night and early in the morning when my roommate is asleep, because his room is right next to mine. I have a space heater and a large fan that I blast on high during my sessions which helps a little bit (white noise). Anyway, I started getting desperate to find a solution for my moaning, and I started looking for all sorts of things that could work as a suppressor. I was even looking at gags that people use who are into bondage and shit, but I just couldn't see myself wearing something like that around my head and mouth(ridiculously hysterical to imagine), and I didn't think it would contain all the noise. After reading something about foam on these forums, I finally purchased a memory foam pillow from Walmart for $15, and I have to say that it's worked pretty well. Made me a lot more comfortable and secure with my moaning issue. Don't get me wrong, I love the moaning, but in my living situation right now, it's not an option for me.

February to March 2009- Well, I have to say, this has been the most exciting time I've had during my journey. Lots of positive signs. One in particular, my moaning is under control with minimal use of the pillow. I must of been going through some crazy ass moaning phase in Jan. Also, more importantly to me, the urge to masturbate during my sessions has gone, which has finally allowed me to just relax and let the pleasure come to me. It's had a calming effect on me, and my body doesn't spasm or tense as strongly as it did previously.
Before the aneros, I used to be a chronic masturbator and jerked off almost once everyday- it became a serious problem in my life that I couldn't control. It's taken me some time to adjust to the practice of abstinence. My aneros use has helped me contain my masturbation to once a week for a year now, which has been great for me, couldn't of done it without this product. But even then, it has always been tough for me to refrain from jerking off during a session. Those compulses are officially gone now, at least they're in the back of my mind, and they no longer hinder me during my sessions, which I can see as rewarding in the future toward a super-o, definitely excited. I masturbated only 3 times in February, and my body seems to be a lot more responsive to any aneros model I stick in my bum. The mgx never did shit for me til now, and its becoming a favorite. Same with the larger two peridise models, I used to prefer the smaller, but not anymore. Sorry for the ramble, just wanted to share my progress.

daily masturbation is healthful, particularly if you are young. i recommend you reconsider your self-prohibition against it.

I would have to say I agree with Darwin. The use of Aneros is not to replace your pleasure, but rather enhance it. There is nothing wrong with enjoying masturbation. I know several men who will masturbate several times a week if not mulitple times a day. Honestly, as a woman...I would have to say that I masturbate just as often. I find that it relaxes me, takes away stress and honestly, I sleep better as well. As far as your progress, terrific. It sounds like you are well on your way. It's probably better that you don't masturbate during the session, but it might not be harmful if you did after...if you feel the desire. I would think it's healthier to go ahead and enjoy yourself than it is to deny yourself. But this is just my opinion as I think "out loud".

When it comes to the moaning, it's actually good for you. It increases your oxygen intake and it can increase pleasure with your muscles having more oxygenated blood flowing through them. And IT IS VERY AROUSING as well. Sounds like your really getting a lot out of your sessions. GREAT FOR YOU!!!
Keep it up (no pun intended)

    Enjoy!

With all due respect to Darwin and Lynn, while I too believe that ejaculation is healthy (as one recent Australian study concluded), abstaining from ejaculation is unquestionably a valid means of promoting arousal. I've recommended the practice on many occasions to many users here in the forum particularly when they've stated that their drive was on the low side. Above and beyond that, the practice of retaining (ejaculate) has a long history in the Daoist tradition. Practitioners of these techniques will often go weeks or even months at a time without ejaculating! Granted, this involves working with erotic energy in different ways. The Super O is one of them. But there is far more to it than simply abstaining. For more on this, users might want to check out the writings of Mantak Chia, Michael Winn and on the internet the Tao Bums Forum.

For guys who are not into the Taoist practices, if ejaculating everyday works for you and doesn't hamper your Super O sessions....all the power to you. If you're finding some difficulty in generating arousal however, know that there is some middle ground between ejaculating everyday and abstaining completely. (For the record I should say that I'm a man who appreciates the value of a good ejaculation too! )

Although I wouldn't view one ejaculation per day to be excessive by any means, you (WildTurkey) characterized this as chronic (almost in a pejorative sense). Perhaps you might be willing to elaborate on this. Were there negative emotions associated with masturbation?

On the predicament with waking you're room mate, that can be quite a challenge, especially if you're as vocal as you say. I agree with Lynn that moaning, vocalizing etc. can be an integral part of the experience, one which I'm loathed to stifle. Perhaps you can look into some sound proofing material. Foam is one way to go, stacking a bunch of it around you...like a do-it-yourself anechoic chamber! If you really want to nail it, get one of these: www.vocalbooth.com

  • Thanks for the comments guys. As far as the masturbation goes, I agree, I probably shouldn't abstain from it as much as I have. I have a high sex drive at the age of 25, and I'm thinking it'd be a lot healthier for me to "clean the pipes out" a little more often- make sure everything's working properly. B mayfield, you're right on- I just have negative feelings toward doing it, which I'll explain.

I don't exactly recall how old I was when I "discovered" my penis, but the habitual jerking off started around the sixth grade. I would do it at least 2-3 times a day. It was always a means of comfort for me growing up, and it's always been beneficial for going to sleep. As soon as puberty hit, and I actually started to ejaculate semen, that comfort zone was gone for me. I never realized what kind of damaging toll I was putting on my emotional mind, body, and self. Lack of energy throughout the day, low self esteem, depression, and an ever present feeling of hopelessness were the symptoms I began having in high school and college. I was depleting myself completely- losing my personality and identity in the process. Even knowing what it was doing to me, for some reason, I just couldn't break the habit. I started to restrain myself a bit in college and only jerked off once a day, usually before bed. Now I have premature ejaculation issues, which has been hard for me to deal with, especially in relationships, cause I know its my fault. But, I'm happier than I've been in a really long time, and I'm finding myself all over again which is great.

So yeah, when I masturbate even now, those negative feelings start coming again and it just sets me back a little bit. I feel like i did something wrong afterward, and I start having guilt. I have completely opposite feelings when I use the aneros, so jerking off just isn't very appealing to me anymore. I've really been trying to disassociate my mind from my penis as much as I possibly can, because of my history with chronic masturbation- which I believe has put somewhat of a damper on my rewiring progress. My brain's been conditioned over the years to believe that my penis is the king shit on orgasm, and I'm just starting to break that mentality with the aneros. I'm not distracted anymore by the urge to jerk off in my sessions, and I get enough pleasure to where I don't even care anymore if I have a super-o or not, which is progress.

    wildturkey-

you do not suffer from "chronic masturbation."

the patterns of masturbation you are describing are normal. i would guess that at least half the men on this forum masturbated at least as much as you at those ages.

what is unusual is your persuading yourself that there is a problem with this or that it causes symptoms.

i suggest you pay a visit to www.jackinworld.com , a site dedicated to helping guys understand that everybody masturbates like crazy, and it is a great thing to do.

as far as foregoing masturbation or ejaculation, i personally am not an advocate of that, despite tantric traditions of exploring it for increased sexual energy. i think the body is designed to ejaculate frequently and that enthusiasms for tinkering with it for erotic effect are idiosyncratic choices. i have quite a lot of sexual energy without attempting to frustrate my body's ejaculatory rhythms.

First congrats wildturkey on your progress. I think getting past wanting to masturbate during an aneros session is great progress. Helps a lot with the relaxation and just taking what comes to you instead of trying to force something your body knows how to do which is ejaculate.
I used to be a chronic masturbater when I was younger anywhere from 5-10 times a day easily and still wanting more. Man I miss those years. I'm only 28 years old now and sometimes feel like I'm 80 because of how much lower my sex drive is now. Now if I ejaculate more than once in a day, the next day my sex drive is often very low.
Recently I went almost a week without sex or masturbation and for me after a few days of no ejaculating it seems to be almost counterproductive. Like if I go too may days without ejaculating I seem to start losing my sex drive and just don't feel as horny as if I let myself ejaculate every couple days instead. And when I finally did have sex after that week of no ejaculating, I was very disappointed when I ended up having a mediocre orgasm which has happened before when not ejaculating for nearly a week.
Not sure where I'm going with this but I guess I'm just saying for me ejaculating at least every few days seems to be better for my sex drive than abstaining which means if my sex drive is flowing better then that leads to better aneros/aneroless sessions, better sex, and better orgasms.
    But that's just me.
Again congrats, and the way you're progress is going it's only going to get better and better...

Another victim of religion and societal mores.

Since when is anything about our bodies and it's natural functions wrong, immoral, or anything to feel guilty about? When you have a bowel movement do you feel guilty? I doubt it. That is just one more of our natural bodily functions just as ejaculation is. In fact, if you don't ejaculate regularly your mind will hand you a 'wet dream' to take care of your body.

Masturbation and ejaculation were 'dirty words' when I was in Catholic schools. Of course that came from priests and others who were supposed to be celibate but we all know what many of them were doing with the Altar Boys in the back room since that scandal hit the fan.

Don't buy into other people ideas of what is right or wrong for you. Think about it logically and forget all the crap you have had fed to you all your life.

Sorry for the rant, but I was one who felt 'guilty' and 'dirty' for masturbating in my youth. Thank goodness I have gotten over that.

    WildTurkey,

I think there a high probability that your feelings about masturbation had more to do with your difficulties than anything physical that was brought about by the practice. As Darwin said, several times a day is not unusual for men of this age. Again, I wouldn't see this as chronic. I think that Billy11 has touched on something more in line with that, 5 to 10 times per day, everyday...that's quite a lot. Really, the number of times that one masturbates is somewhat irrelevant particularly when it is limited to several times per day, what is more significant is your attitude about the masturbation. If this is part of a compulsion...that's where you get into trouble. In psychological terms were talking about an excessive activity that someone performs in order to avoid distress or worry. Compulsion or not, what I'm suggesting here is the possibility that something else was underlying this. It's something to consider.

All of that said, I'm absolutely delighted to hear that the Super O has afforded you a guilt free method of achieving sexual fulfillment. Congratulations!

Billy 11, regarding your comments on the effects of abstaining vs. ejaculation on your arousal, it must be said that this is truly an individual consideration. There is no prescribed amount of days or hours that one must wait to bring about a benefit that could be applied to everyone. In the past I've used the period of time between ejaculations as a bench mark to follow. I've often suggested using a coefficient of 2 in this regard. So for example if one ejaculates once a day, abstain 2 days and observe the results. If nothing occurs, go to 3 days and so on. I should mention that this is a totally arbitrary calculation on my part, but it appears to have been supported by many of the users in this forum if the responses that I received were any indication.

But with abstaining, like all things in life, it's possible to overdo it. When I've written about abstaining before, at some point or another I usually discuss the issue of diminishing returns. This where arousal is actually decreased by abstaining too much and where the subsequent encounters that result from it are actually less satisfying. This is not difficult to understand as continued unchanneled arousal can lead to over-engorgement of the prostate. Left unattended long enough, one can find themselves with a case of blue balls!

Just to be clear, abstaining is not a requirement for generating arousal... it is merely an option.

    Cheers!

I think the reason why I used to masturbate so many times a day was because it felt great and I had the energy for it. I started masturbating at a young age and could masturbate to orgasm (no ejaculate of course because of my age) many times in a row. So when I hit puberty I could still do this even after ejaculating. So in a way I was multi-orgasmic because I could go so many times without a break or loss in arousal. And I could do this multi-orgasmic masturbation session several times a day. It just felt great. Normally by my second or third ejaculation I didn't have any more semen in me so they were dry but felt just as intense or more intense than the one before. I could do this many times until typically I would just get tired. I wouldn't really lose my arousal.
I guess by learning to become multi-orgasmic before puberty that it was easy to go so many times when I did hit puberty and beyond. And I could often have man orgasms within a short amount of time.
So it was a little frustrating when I got older and the refractory period really started kicking in. I was willing but physically unable. So my multi-orgasmic abilities in that regard have gone.
That's where the aneros/aneroless sessions/Ksmo and rewiring comes in. I feel like I'm learning a whole new way to experience orgasm though my years of having traditional orgasms are being very stubborn about it.
So I guess what I'm saying is one could call the way I used to masturbate as chronic, or one could call them multi-orgasmic.

There is no prescribed amount of days or hours that one must wait to bring about a benefit that could be applied to everyone. I agree that there is really no exact time table that will work for everybody. Plus I feel the moon cycle or other influences affect my arousal level and how long after ejaculating that my arousal comes back. Sometimes an hour later or less I'm ready to go again hornier than before other times it may take a day or two to feel that way. One thing I've found interesting is that sometimes when I have sex then just get really horny an hour or more later and have sex again, that I produce more semen during the second time than the first. I'm amazed by that. It seems that I would produce less only that short of amount of time after ejaculating.
More to write but out of time..

I too had become concerned about my masterbation. Even tho I am able to have regular sexual intercouse at least once per day, I found that I also had an excess amount of energy, including the stamina. Along with other conserns of having an enlarged prostate, day was a major break-thru! Without going into the longest story ever told. The person who was responsible for directing my attention to using the aneros in the first place became instrumental in my being able to actually enjoy my first super postate orgasm this afternoon. I've been trying with some success in have small/mini orgasm over the past month. But, my closest friend was accualy able to help me with going thru to my first big one... thank you all!

Are Aneros sessions better for anyone if you have a session in which you haven't orgasmed / masturbated in a few days?

    raiden09,

Check out my comments earlier in this thread where I discuss abstaining from masturbation (ejaculation). You might also want to keyword "abstaining" in the search field.

The short answer is yes, abstaining can often be a useful method for generating arousal and arousal is one of the key factors for generating a Super O. That said, it is not strictly necessary to do so.

    Cheers,
