How do you know when it is time to ejaculate?

    Hello People,

During my Aneros journey I've been practicing abstaining from masturbation and ejaculation until I'm able to reach the heights of super-O's. I know I've read a number of posts where guys say that it is necessary to still ejaculate occasionally during this process. So my question is how do you know when it is time to do so? Is there any cues your body gives you?

It's been over a week now for me since I have last ejaculated. I certainly find myself aroused at the drop of a hat lately. I want to do what is healthy for my body. But I'm not sure what signals/signs I should be watching out for saying it's time clear the pipes so to speak. Any ideas?
    Thanks. :)

  • I am trying to not ejaculate lol i have no will power its barely been 4 days and i just want to rip one out badly. I think for me the longer i go with out release the easier it gets but if i go too long like in the past i loose the desire to want to do it. So i am thinking one release per 2 weeks if i can try that lol don't know i will make it though.

Any longer and when i do release its a darker yellow color and turns me off some if i release more often its a bright white that just fires me up for round 2 hehe. I have yet to figure out when mine goes from bleach white to yellowish that would be my time to remove old fluids hehe.
  • hey love_is, that's a timely question, I was just getting around to that myself. I've kind of been the other way round though, I want to see if I can actually ejaculate hands free. Last, it was crazy, I didn't sleep, and I overcooked the session by a long way. I felt almost certain that I would ejaculate, but nothing.

All I know is, I felt rough this morning. It was as though all that nervous energy bubbling away at the base of my spine was still there, contained, and thrashing about. My morning was a combination of things: being VERY tired, having mild discomfort from this 'energy', but also pleasurable echo sensations from it too.

In my practice of abstinence, my body always lets me know when its time for a release, because I feel that hunger in my loins (I know, I'm being a bit vague here), it's like a heaviness that pervades both my sexual energy and my mind and I just feel it. The problem with aneros use, is that we are usually focussing on our loins (or roughly that area) so it becomes more difficult to distinguish between the need to ejaculate and the conditioning that the aneros provides.

To put things into a more spiritual context, last night, I felt like I wanted a release, I focussed everything into ejaculation, and I got up this morning, exhausted. This is not the way to practice. Practice to enjoy maintaining and feeling the sexual energy within.

As a sidenote...doing what is healthy for the body (you probably know more about that than most), doesn't really concern ejaculation. Whether you do or you don't is immaterial, unless you are doing it twenty five times a day...or staying up all night to try and do it hands free

I think that penile stimulation is useful in terms of a reference point, to see how it differs from aneros, how it has changed your mastubatory experience and, most importantly, to provide some rest for your butt!

I myself like to have super t's to finish my session. A lot of people believe that by not ejaculating the saved energy will be used within. I do as my body is telling me. If I get frequent erections during the day or whenever and time permitting, I will have a good session and have a super t. I have jerked off a day or two before using an aneros and still achieve awesome results. Nood

As one who has recommended abstinence as a means kicking things up in the past, I think I should review what this is really about from my perspective. First, know this, as helpful as this practice can be, it can also be counterproductive. In a thread that I authored some years ago I wrote about what constitutes being ready for the experience (Super O). Where putting some time between a session and ejaculation can often help amp up erotic energy, it is also possible to take it too far. Once this happens, it actually becomes more difficult to proceed on the non-ejaculatory path than it would otherwise be.

While it is true that Daoist are able to abstain from ejaculatory orgasms almost indefinitely, it is important to remember that this is not about simply stifling such urges, on the contrary, it involves learning techniques that effectively re-channel sexual energy throughout the body.

How do you know when you've gone to far? Certainly, if one is experiencing any discomfort. The condition known informally as "blue balls" is a case of sexual energy gone awry, with unattended sexual arousal resulting in congestion of the prostate and the testes. Secondly, any time that one finds that they are too distracted with the idea of ejaculating to be observant of more subtle sensations of the anus, prostate and've probably gone too far. if you find it impossible to focus on anything but the idea of've gone too far. If you find yourself humping the the arm of the living room sofa.....well you get the idea.

While I can't provide a precise number of days or hours as a guideline for abstinence that would fit for everyone, I would just say that one needs to be sensible about it. Again, the idea is to charge up the session, not to transform yourself into an animal in heat.

Thank you for all of the wonderful and detailed replies. :)

I suspect I was not clear enough about the health aspect of my question. It was my understanding, that if you are using the Aneros devices regularly for prostrate massage, which in my case is for reoccurring prostatitis(intermittent, usually mild, sometimes worse), in addition to the pleasure aspect. I thought I had read in the forum here that it was necessary to clear out the prostrate by ejaculating every now and then. Am I recalling this incorrectly?

I know that in the past when my general physician would massage my prostrate(Ouchy! Very painful), he would always recommend that I ejaculate a day or two afterwards.

    Anyone know anything about this?

I agree with ‘B Mayfield’ about using abstinence as a motivating factor to heighten arousal. I also agree with him that the urge to ejaculate can become a distraction if too much time is forced between ejaculations. As to frequency of ejaculations, I think we can take a hint from Mother Nature (read women’s menstrual cycles), once every 28 days maximum interval, minimum interval ????

    On a related note...

I've had a few session since Friday. All mild to moderate. Then today I felt like masturbating for the first time in at least two weeks. So I did, and ejaculated a huge load. It felt nice, but wasn't great. And for some reason didn't feel particularly satisfying. And then a few hours later, I felt my prostrate itching and twitching as if it was trying to tell me it wanted to be massaged. So I figured I would experiment and have another Aneros session. I soon as I had inserted my Helix, I could tell that my prostrate was very swollen, I assume from excitement/arousal. This had to be the quickest, easiest, and most intense session to date. I don't think I went any longer than 30 to 45 minutes. I was so sensitive both in my prostrate and anus. I ended up with a very nice and satisfying hands free super-T, in addition to a heck of a lot of pleasure prior to it.

I wonder if this is something similar to what other guys here have talked about having a really good session 12 to 24 hours after masturbating?

I find it really mind blowing that masturbating and ejaculating today didn't feel as intense and satisfying as it would have prior to experiencing pleasure with Aneros devices. I never would have expected that to happen. Even as I sit here typing, I can feel my prostrate itching twitching for pleasure again... Again?
  • I find that my sessions with the Aneros are far more intense than masterbation or actual sexual sessions with my wife. I've sateted in other posts that I have better progasms than orgasms! In fact when I ejaculate it's kind of anticlamatic, if that's possible, LOL.

    Hi Love_is,

There has been a thread here in the forum in the past about this. I know that when I read the book, The Multi-Orgasmic Male, there was a chart in it that gave recommendations of how much time a guy should take between ejaculations to retain a higher sexual energy. It was a sliding scale where the older you get the more time you should take between them. I know that for my age, 48, it was recommended at about 10 days.

    I hope that helps.

Thanks for all the responses guys! :)

It sounds like I am just going to have to listen more closely to my own body's signals.
    Thanks again
