Erection?

    Hi,

I've been experimenting with my MGX & Helix and reading the forum off and on for a year or so, with very limited results. I was just wondering how my experience compares with that of others.

I CAN NOT get an erection with the aneros inserted. Even if I become very aroused and apply plenty of direct penile stimulation I cannot become erect when my prostate is being stimulated in any way, even though I have no erectile difficulties otherwise. It's as if touching the prostate flips a no-stiffy switch.

I've was wondering, do any of you who have achieved the Super-O fit this description? In other words, is it typical or maybe even necessary to to become erect when using the aneros? Or are any of you getting there without ever experiencing an erection?

    Thanks,
    Mystery

Hi Mystery and welcome to the forum!

An erection certainly isn't necessary for a Super O and can actually be a distraction. The erection can cause you to focus on your penis rather than on the other sensations that you may be feeling. I've never had an erection during any of my sessions.

As far as not being able to get an erection when the Aneros is inserted, even with physical stimulation, I had the same problem early on and still do somewhat to this day. It takes me a long time to get an erection when the Aneros is inserted. What works for me now is that I start my masturbation sessions without the Aneros being inserted. I then bring myself up to the edge and if I decide I want to insert the Aneros, I stop masturbating, insert the Aneros, and then resume. I may lose my erection slightly, but by that time, I'm so aroused that I get it back very quickly and I can then enjoy a nice long edging session with the Aneros inserted. I typically decide on the spur of the moment as to whether I will insert the Aneros so I use a cream based lube such as Albolene, Boy Butter, or Elbow Grease where I can quickly coat the Aneros and insert it. Messing with the lube syringe would take up too much time but that is an option as well if you set it up first.

Try it out! Hopefully it will work for you too.

    Hi Mystery!

I feel the same way about the No-stiffy switch! (as a matter of fact, sometimes it makes my penis actually "turtle"!) LOL!

If I decide to finish off a session with Aneros in and with a traditional orgasm, I do have to work at it to revive my cock, but the resulting orgasm is well worth it!

In other words, the Aneros turns off my dick switch too, but an erection is not needed "AT ALL" to achieve a Super-O! (as a matter of fact, an erection only gets in the way, IMHO!)

By the way, I am middle-aged, and I think age has a major factor in this too!

    So No Worries!

    Thanks Guys,

That is a big relief. I was worried that I was either broken or barking up the wrong tree.

getting an erection during a session is usually non exsistant...although i've been getting a 3/4 or so one when the thigh and hip trembling kicks in..with my limp pre-cum leaking cock seems to get aroused from the thighs quaking as it laying against them...guess the vibrations from that excite it or something...and if the trembling stops or subsides..so does my semi -hard on...

My erections usually come as things get warmed up and the involuntaries start. It disappears within a minute or two (or three) and rarely returns.

I have the same reaction and consider it normal. I usually start with an erection while applying lube and inserting the Progasm. Once inside, the erection vanishes. I like this because then I can concentrate on internal pleasures.

When my wife massages my prostate by hand, same thing - no erection.

Don't often have one and don't have intercourse with it in - although want to try sometime. The "switch" and the timing are just not right.

There was a poll with this topic and not much response:

Maybe I am the odd one here but I have no difficulty with obtaining an erection or maintaining one with any of the aneros models I have.

    Your not alone Luvin ..
I can just insert the Pro and mine gets hard as can be.
As a matter of fact mine stays quite hard all through the session.
It is probably a matter of psychology.

    Mystery, Tiphereth, L.A. and all,

I don't believe that having an erection is strictly a matter of psychology. While it might be in some instances, in my opinion, more often than not, it's simply a matter of "wiring" That is, there are some individuals that are neurologically set up for this and some that are not. There are some that develop this over time as well. I am one of those that experiences an erection with any and all prostate/anal stimulation. Furthermore, I generally find myself with a profound erection with any Super O. It's been an almost signature event for me from very early on in my journey.

However, based on the rare occasions when I have been flaccid during a Super O I can tell you that there is really no qualitative difference with having an erection vs. not. Again, these just represent different ways that arousal manifests itself as a part of the Super O experience.

The rewiring process has changed many things for me. Chief among them is that I now experience all arousal in my prostate first... and my penis secondarily. Prior to my exploits with the Super O I'd have to say that I was only vaguely aware of sensation in my prostate and only then after a significant erection and stimulation had taken place. Although all neural activity that supports male sexual arousal is routed through the prostate, sensations of arousal are not necessarily perceived there. Again, this can evolve over time or not. That said, this shouldn't be viewed as benchmark, but a reflection of one possibility along a Super O continuum.

    Enjoy!
