Aneros Woes

Having purchased my Aneros about 2 years ago, and having tried it then and got nothing I locked it away in my secret stash until yesterday.

I have always been interested in prostate massage and the beneficial effects of it are well documented, I therefore decided to give it another try.

I read a little of the posts here and decided to go with the condom approach, I put a lot of lube in the condom and a little on the outside to enable the Aneros to move around.

Now I spent 2 1/2 hours trying last night, I popped it in and laid on my side with my knees drawn up. After 20mins it began to feel OK, this is where I got lost! I continued to relax and soon enough I felt some pressure build up on my perineum, this was weird as I was 100% relaxed so I can only assume it was an involuntary movement. But all to soon this feeling vanished, and again I was just laying there with nothing.

Next I felt a warm tingling feeling in my penis, which went around the whole genital area, this too felt nice, caused me to become erect but then vanished.

Next step, I tried to tighten and relax my anal muscles to bring on the involuntary contractions which seem to be so important to the working of this product but nothing.

I took it out took the condom off and added more lube, but still after another period of time nothing.

I had to stop in the end as I was needing to get up early, so I took matters into my own hands and the resulting orgasm was short and by no means great.

    So my questions!

    1) Where am I going wrong?
    2) Can you physically feel the Aneros move around inside, or is it a subtle stroke that is hardly noticeable?
    3) I can not remember the model I have, and I no longer have the box. Is there any way of telling?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers

Hi Morn, I'm a newbie who just recently experienced my first Super-O, as to your questions the easiest one to answer is #3, you should be able to distinguish your model by visually comparing it with the models shown in the Aneros product line, except for the MGX & SGX models they are all quite distinctive in shape, with the SGX the slightly smaller version of the MGX. Question #2, at first usage you may not notice the movement very much for a number of reasons : 1) You may not be mentally focused sufficiently to pick up the subtle movements and the corresponding nerve impulse feedback, 2) The condom may be acting as an insulating barrier to the subtle motion/energy transfer to the rectal walls and thence to the prostate gland, 3) There may be some fecal matter in your rectum that also can limit the Aneros movement/action. I think with ongoing practice sessions and experienting with different positions and perhaps different prepatory work and experience using various muscle groups you will find all the movements are really rather subtle, but as you become more attuned to listening to your body they will also become more noticeable. Question #1 is the hard one, that's what this forum is all about. My recommendation is first to read the sticky post "B's Keys to the Backdoor" by B.F.Mayfield. All of Mayfield's posts contain valuable information, darwin has also provided a lot of good info. I don't think you're "...going wrong", from your post it sounds to me that you are in fact going right by being patient and trying to listen to your body, 2 1/2 hours is a significant time block for an essentially first time user. The path that you've started on is going to take some time and patience and there is a definite learning curve associated with re-wiring your body, it would be a mistake to "expect" instantaneous results the first time you try anything as complex as re-wiring the connections between the mind and body, especially something as complex as the human sexual response. This is your special journey, please don't get discouraged after your first step on the path, it will be worth the effort ! Enjoy the journey, as there are many interesting 'milestones' along the way. Rumel

Ok so things are moving on, last night I took a 1 1/2 hour session to see if any progress could be made.

I took 5 mins to relax to the senastion of having it in there, then I watched some porn to arouse myself and contracted my muscles to initiate the anal twitching.

At one point I got an uncontrollable twitch that was not made by me, I was so shocked that I focused on it and the thing stopped. So I know that it can happen!!

The problem I get is as to how strongly I should contract, I find that I get a little bit of pain when I contract the Aneros with a strong contraction.

It feels a little sharp on the tip, however there is nothing sharp on the product so I am at a loss on this one.

Any one help me on this??

    Morn,

Regarding your question about which Aneros model you own. Are there ribs along the base of the unit. If so, are there raised bumps or nodules on the inside surface near the tip? Does the unit have an abutment arm that appears like the end of a hockey stick? or is it like a small flattened circle instead? Is the tip large and round like the end of a ball peen hammer? Looking at the SHOP ONLINE area to the left of this page, as you click on PROSTATE STIMULATORS, which one does it look the most like? If it doesn't exactly like any of those go to: http://www.highisland.com/products.php

Regarding how strong your contractions need be, the answer is not strong at all! The fact is, that most user find subtle, very gentle contractions to be the most productive. But I'm a little confused as in your earlier post it seems like you couldn't feel it at all, now you've mentioned that you've felt sharp pain? Could you please clarify?

    Thanks for the reply,

I have decided that my product is the original MGX based on the store images. I think its the original one due to me ordering about 2 years ago.

With regards to the contractions, I found on the second session that I was consciously making some strong contraction coupled with some weak ones. This at one point led to me having an uncontrolled contraction, which felt like I was pushing down (pushing the device out)but the muscles were working independently.

As for the pain, it simple feels like I am being scratched at the tip upon a forced contraction. This is not agonisingly painful, however it does detract from the enjoyment a little. Perhaps my contractions are a little to strong and I am drawing it to far up?

    Hope that clarify's things

    Morn,

I suspected that you had the MGX Classic (aka PS NEW) from the start. I also suspect that those two little raised bumps near the tip are what are giving you the problem with higher intensity contractions. Years ago, when the Classic was the only model out there this issue would come up periodically with different users. (Ironically, in my own case, it's the feature that I like the most about it). However, pain or discomfort are totally counterproductive to the generating the P-waves that are the precursors of the Super O, so it must be avoided. My suggestion is as follows; 1) restrict yourself to low intensity contractions. If you've read any of my posts in the past, you'll know that I advocate the use of subtle and low intensity contraction for generating the Super O anyway. But this may not be possible if you experience involuntary contractions that are themselves higher intensity. 2) If you originally purchased the product from the Aneros or HIH websites, you may be able to get a credit towards another unit that is better suited to you. 3) Modify the unit yourself. Using progressively finer grades of sand paper it should be possible to smooth out those raised areas. Some of the sandpaper can be obtained from the usual sources. The really fine variety ( 2000 grit) can be obtained from stores that sell automotive paint supplies as they use that type for "clear coat" sanding.

With respect to involuntary contraction driving the unit outward, this is totally normal, albeit a bit disconcerting. This is one of the few times where a little manual intervention pays off, simply position your hand around the back of the Aneros to prevent ejection. You don't need to shove it in so much as just provide some opposing force if it starts to pop out.

Thanks for the advice, I think I had a near anal orgasm last night!!

I am still a little unsure what to do when it fires, and I need to do a little more research in the field of lube as I think the device is not mobile enough.

Should I think about replacing my unit with a newer version? Or is there a better model?

    Cheers

    Morn,

When a user is actually seeing results, it's difficult for me to advise that they change models. If things keep progressing, I'd say stay where you are. Of course, if you wanted to try another model for variety that's another thing entirely. At that point, given that you have the Classic, I'd say that it would be between the Helix, and the Progasm (if you're up to it).

In so far as lube goes, have you tried prelubricating with a thinner water based lube, then following it up with something thicker, like KY? This is one of my standard methods. With respect to the "condom method", although I know it has it's proponents here, I'm not one of them. Frankly, I've always believed that it added a certain level of resistance. Of course it's a subjective thing, so you'll have to judge for yourself. Recently some users have been on to this lube called "Boy Butter" which is a hybrid product containing water, oil and silicone in combination with three different emulsifiers. Proportedly, it's slick as a whistle, doesn't dry out AND cleans up with water! I haven't checked it out yet myself, but I will be doing so very soon.

Thanks for the advice, I have invested in the Helix as a side line experiment. I will keep going with this as I have a feeling that I am close, its going to kick off when I finally go over the edge.

    Cheers :D
