Aneros Massager strike-out
  • I give up! After 3 solid months of sticking this thing up my ass every day, I have achieved fuck all!

The only way I can even feel ANY prostate massage is if I insert the Aneros and then pull back on the handle so the shaft inside me tilts forward. Doing it according to the instructions accomplishes nothing.

I'm either extremely unfortunate in that the Aneros is obviously not designed for my body or else this is all a bunch of horse pucky.

Anyone want a slighty used Aneros? Great price!

    To the Disillusioned,

To be clear here, what you are both talking about is an apparent lack of ANY prostate contact? Perhaps it's important to ask first, do you know (first hand) what it feels like to have you prostate stimulated? Have you ever had a DRE (digital rectal exam by a doctor) or have you ever engaged in anal play with a partner where you had become acquainted with this sensation? It's an important factor to consider in as much as this kind of stimulation can yield sensations that are somewhat confusing to the novice. (Confusing in the sense that they may be non-specific at first, i.e. feeling of an urgency to urinate or a dull kind of internal pressure). If you don't know what this feels like...it might not be a bad idea to give yourself a digit exam. This can be accomplished in the squatting position by putting your hand behind you using a well lubricated middle finger (you want to do this palm down such that the tip of you finger touches, rather than your nail). To be sure this is somewhat awkward, yet I find that by doing so you can use most of the length of your finger and curl it and exert pressure at the same time.

If you have had experience with this kind of stimulation...and you're getting none of it (particulary after 3 months) with the Aneros then you may want to look to a different model.

I can't recall which models both of you are using (I'm not sure if disillusioned posted previously), but it may make the difference here. If for instance, you're using the SGX, chances are that you're barking up the wrong tree . That said, some have had troubles with the larger MGX as well (but far fewer). Of those many have found satisfaction in the Next Gen. line. (either with the Helix or the Maximus). In developing these devices the manufacturer has attempted to suit most people's needs, but some anatomical variations can make that difficult.

In ALL cases with ANY of these different Aneros models, it is essential that you experiment with different body positions. Ones position can make all the difference . So try lying on you left side, right side, then with one leg pulled toward the chest, fetal position, on all fours, kneeling, squatting, standing.....all of these will change the position of the unit inside the rectum. Be careful to give each of these a chance .....hang with each for 10 or 15 mins and try some different grades of contractions. Be observant.

If I've misunderstood, and what you're both referring to are problems making it to the Super O, it must be said that it can be a more lengthy endeavor for some (even longer than 3 months).

BUt i've checked and the other ones are for more advanced users it states, and also not to mention the fact of the cost!, So i have wasted my money on this one? i have the MGX, which one would be better then?, somthing that offers more direct stimulation? It's not that i could afford another one now anyway.

i give up, what otehr positions should i try!? i mean i feel NOTHING, no sensations at all!, and if i masturbate myslef normally with it in it actually stops the pleasurable feeling, ie the orgasm is non existant!

    Fury,

Have you tried ALL of the positions that I suggested in my previous post? If you have done so (and in the way that I suggested), with no results, then perhaps the MGX is insufficient for your needs. Again, I ask, have you ever experienced prostate stimulation before....that is , do you have any familiarity with what these sensations feel like? If not it is absolutely essential that you attempt to do this yourself (in the manner I described previously) or have someone help you with it. Only from that point will you be able to make an accurate assessment of the effectiveness of your MGX.

With regard to the Next Generation models being for "advanced users", the primary criterion that determines this, is the ability to accomodate a slightly larger unit. I myself have found that the Helix delivers a more "directed" pressure (engages the prostate more affirmatively). It is possible that this unit would help you. I say possible because it is conceivable that the location of your prostate is farther forward (anterior in the rectum) such that none of the current line of prostate massagers are capable of contacting it. Again, as I've stated previously, anatomical variation is a factor here. Although the manufacturer has attempted to produce units with one size fits all capacities (particularly with their development of the MGX), there may be some individuals who still have problems obtaining results.

What I find interesting, were your comments that you find a traditional orgasm (ejaculation) difficult with the Aneros inside. Although this is not the usual reaction, it seems likely that the Aneros is contacting something to be able to have this effect (albeit it's not the result that you're after). Again, perhaps what is required of you is to become more familiar AND comfortable with anal, rectal, and prostate sensations. How long have you been using the Aneros?

This is a good thing! Anyone who hasnt achieved any decent results should post on here about their lack of experinces, so when one of us actually succeeds with the Aneros, we'll know how its done. I too have had little to no success, and Ive used the thing to death. I do achieve some good sensations, but nothing like some of the people on here describe. Its nothing "mind blowing", "life changing", or long lasting. It doesnt peak for me really. What gets me is that Ive read posts where some people, within 5 minutes of putting it in, are having a "super-o" on their first or second uses. And others, with lots of effort and time see little to no results. Its definitely anatomical, or having to do with the shape and contour differences of the body. The location of the prostate more or less. Ive tried it all(even bought a helix), breathing techniques, any postions you can think of. Maybe a new model for us rare individuals who have no luck with the rest of the line??

I think B Mayfield is making a great point that seems to be getting ignored here:

If you have doubts about whether you can feel pleasure from the Aneros, you should probably try another way to experience prostatic pleasure just to prove to yourself that it's possible.

Once you've established that you CAN feel pleasure in your prostate, and are a little more well acquainted with those sensations, then you can return to using the Aneros with more confidence and less performance pressure.

Mayfield mentioned using self-massage with fingers in order to learn how to feel the prostate. There's also a wide variety of toys besides the Aneros designed for prostate stimulation. You might want to check out the P-Spot Toys section at www.goodvibes.com as well as other sites.

I think the thing to keep in mind here is that the point of the Aneros is to give you pleasure through prostate stimulation. So if you're not feeling anything from the Aneros, your focus should still be on how you can learn to enjoy prostate stimulation rather than what's wrong with the Aneros.

I have never seen anyone come into this forum with prior experience enjoying prostate stimulation, who claimed the Aneros did nothing for them. So chances are that if you are willing and able to find new ways of enjoying prostate stimulation, the Aneros will feel far more pleasurable the second time around.

The point is to give yourself a new kind of pleasure, something very few men will ever do. Don't cheat yourself out of that opportunity because the first method you tried didn't produce instant, mind blowing results.

    Fury,

If you've done as I suggested, what were the results? Did you attempt to stimulate your prostate (without the Aneros) manually or by some other means? If so, what did it feel like? Did you feel anything at all? Again, there is really no use in upgrading to other Aneros units if you don't gain some familiarity with these kind of sensations first. Once you do, you will KNOW whether there is a problem with the operation of the device or not.

ok i tried the aneros again but this time i pulled it out slightly and i know i shouldnt have but i started to push it up and down to the front, with the device slightly pulling out and i felt the sensation to urinate, and then if i kept doing it i would get pre cum i think, at least its a clear liquid, but still no pleasureable sensations!, i think that m prostate is further in an down perahps than most others?

    Still having not much luck!

When you say there's nothing there you mean you don't get any good feelings right? Not that you can't find your prostate?

If you squat (tip toes, knees to chest) & manage to get your finger in till it finds an obstruction you found it

Good feelings are not necessarily obtained by just touching the right places though, this is just what I've found - let me illustrate my point..

All my life my right nipple has been really pleasantly sensitive to the touch but my left one, zip.
A couple of years ago I was reading Mantak Chia's books on MMO & I remember him explaining how to activate a nipple & I tried it. Basically it takes time, there is no point in grabbing it & tweaking it if there's no charge there. His process is slow & involves very lightly circling it avoiding touching and then just using gentle slight touches & tuning in to anything you can feel.

A lot of us here when we were younger & knew not a lot might have approached our GFs bodies in a "she's not moaning, must try harder" sort of way.
I think most guys are like that with themselves too & the multi approaches that actually work just don't go down that path.

It's an adjustment for most of us to say the least!

The prostate seems to work the same way, just takes time & focus. One tip I have which I only worked out this week is that sometimes the slightly unpleasant feelings can be a front for the good feelings (!!).
Obviously pain is bad & I would stop anything that hurt immediately but there are other feelings down there. The feeling of needing to urinate is well documented on the forum but there are other sensations we all recognise but may have negative associations with.

A couple of days ago I felt a sensation which I can't describe but my personal name for it is "gritty". I associate gritty with occupation & I felt I was sharing the aneros space with an unwelcome guest & I prepared to stop the session but I knew I was clean so I explored this feeling. I adjusted & moved my contractions to try to encourage this feeling & it eventually unfolded into a splendid NEO!

I think the pleasure nerves may also serve as a defence / warning system & I think of it like that now when I practice & suddenly find an odd sensation.
If I find myself slightly flinching now at a strange, non painful feeling I become curious as to what it might be hiding!

    Don't sell it ;)

When you say this, do you mean stick it up as far as it will go? i have not felt my prostate ever, dont know where it is, i have studying diagrams and i put my fingers where they say and.... nothing there, just anal wall and if i push it just moves a bit, the wall i mean and.... zip.

I was never able to feel my prostate using my fingers either. The Aneros was the first time I ever felt my prostate through direct stimulation.

I recently purchased a toy called The Deluxe Crystal Wand, available at this website: http://www.doctorg.com/crystalwand.htm, as well as many others.

This device is an excellent way to explore your prostate without having to endure uncomfortable positions. It allows you to feel around for the right location and directly stimulate it without much hassle. I've only used mine twice so far and have enjoyed Super-O's on both occasions.

However, I really have to stress that the Aneros is a far safer device for prostate stimulation and certainly just as effective if not more. When used properly, it is only controlled by the PC and anal sphincter muscles, so there's no chance of using too much force against the prostate which could potentially be damaging.

The Crystal Wand (and similiar devices) uses direct manual stimulation and therefore carries with it a risk of using too much force and possibly causing damage. I strongly recommend using great caution and only small, gentle movements with the device at all times. Never try to force a sensation. I've also learned it's especially important to let go of the device at the onset of a Super-O to avoid sudden jerks and body movement from being transferred through the device to the prostate.

With the Aneros, you don't have to be concerned with these issues. It's perfectly safe when used as directed. But if you're having trouble feeling your prostate at all, The Crystal Wand could be a great help in actually feeling your prostate for the first time and developing greater sensitivity, which could then lead to much more successful Aneros sessions.

    Hope that helps.

Well, the toy this link leads to is actually not the one I'm referring to. Although it may still be helpful in locating the prostate. I recommend the Deluxe Crystal Wand specifically because it's easy to manipulate by hand in most positions.

As for how to order one in the UK without a credit card, I'm afraid I don't have much advice there. I know that here in the states, most store owners will special order items without including the cost of shipping. Perhaps your local adult supply shop would do the same.

I'm also very selective about what I buy because it's not often I can afford these little luxury items. I spent a couple years thinking about it before I finally made the purchase. I can only say that I found the wand well worth the investment, and I believe it would be helpful for guys who can't seem to find their prostate through other means.

    Fury,

I must second Pan's cautions about using the Crystal Wand. A great tool to be sure, but one that may be easily misused. Just remember that the "S" countour of this device functions as a large lever, such that a small amount of pressure with your hand translates into a large amount of force at the business end.

As another alternative you might look into the G spot dildos that are designed for women. These normally feature a right angle bend at the tip making them good for use as a probe. They come in various diameters also. While not as aggressive as the Crystal Wand, these can be misused as well, so be careful.

I have the same one as you Pan, got it from www.tantra.com - excellent design.

That one was as close as I could find in the UK.

All I have to say is, man, that's dedication.

I don't think I've done ANYTHING that'd I characterize as unpleasant for three solid months in the hopes that something pleasant would happen EVENTUALLY.

Not to be a quitter... but hey, maybe it's not for you.

I personally love anal play, but not EVERYone loves (or can benefit from) something stuck up the ass.

Again, not to be a quitter, but maybe you should invest such a considerable amount of time and energy in another direction.

  • I had some what the same problem. I could only feel direct stimulation if I slightly pulled both models “MGX/Helix” out a little bit then “tilted” them down as my prostate is up. (Make sense?) Would you recommend the “Maximus” or the “Eupho,” not sure if I’m ready for the “progasm.”

I tried all the positions, keep it in all night, etc.……………………….
