Explain what p-waves are...

Everyone seems to have a different definition of what this phenomenon actually is, the wiki says one thing where almost everyone here says its something else.

the reason i ask this is because i decided to end a session early (ok i lost the feelings very early on!) and now I'm sitting here with what feels like orgasmic prostate pleasure, its warm, feels definitely centred in my prostate, it is making me moan a little (don't imagine orgasmic moans, just little 'whimpers') and feels pretty nice. Are these p-waves? or is this 'orgasmic rushing' some here describe.

I also feel it in the back of my legs/near my ass too. Either way its good to get some of you sharing your experiences with them and see how you define what they mean.

pleasure wave (P-wave) A feeling of sexual excitement and pleasure that normally originates in the lower abdominal and/or pelvic regions. P-waves may be localized or spread out all over the body. Some have suggested that the sensation feels like butterflies in the stomach (but lower in the abdomen) or as the feeling of sexual electricity associated with ones first touch from the first encounter with a lover. As the body becomes more sensitized with arousal amplification, pleasure waves become more common and can be produced by the Aneros or by other arousal amplification techniques. P-waves may be very subtle or intense.

In that case i almost always experience P-waves! aneros in or out! I'm having them right now in fact, seem to always happen when i am sitting down!

Good! Let them grow! The contractions you do, should support your p-waves...then relax and allow them to wash over you, big or small, enjoy each one...because you know that more will come...some bigger, some smaller...and they can grow much much bigger with patience and time...No more..."I've gotta have it now."...just let it happen! Relax and enjoy!

My understanding is with the aneros in and it moving by itself a p-wave is the pleasurable wave radiating out from its movement. With the aneros out the same feeling can happen because of muscle memory.
P-waves wake me early in the morning and make me even more horny for a real session  latter in the morning. They can happen when you are sitting watching tv too without a aneros in but can turn easily in to orgasmic rushes. Sometimes I dont notice the p-waves while in my chair until all of a sudden my leg muscle twitches as I am having a orgasm. Then the nice warm feeling in the groin area. Oh yeah and nobody knows its happening. Ocassionaly I have let out a small grown/moan and the wife asks if I am ok... :)

Exactly...same things happen for me! Just awesome!

sounds like me! it all rings true!

except one thing, contractions do not support or grow p waves, i still only get pwaves post session, without an aneros.

And that is your journey! Others may get them differently! Enjoy!

of course they will, but its good to hear what p waves are to some people and how they interpret them differently.

@inhope To me, what you describe definitely sounds like P-waves. I think I first noticed them after a session... Since then I can have them in various situations (during session or aless sessions, in between sessions, sitting, standing, showering, walking, watching a movie). They are extremely useful and can range from very mild to me moaning and writhing under exquisite torture... Common denominator : they build slowly and fade slowly.

I love that statement...I'm in the middle of some exquisite torture right now with my p-waves, and I'm in heaven!

Simple, if you feel pleasure, you had a P-wave.

? They do if you think about it. Bare with me.
P-waves come first when you put the aneros in. The aneros starts to move which causes a little wave of pleasure.
But why does the aneros move? It is because your anal muscles feel slight pressure against them and they contract ever so slightly which causes pleasure (p-wave) which in turn causes them to contract again. This you notice as the aneros rocking gently. (A pulsing feeling is felt from the device) As you get use to the feeling during rewireing your nerves become accustomed to the feelings as pleasure.

Now thats all fine and good but why is it a p-wave WAVE? well i would argue that because the movement of the aneros is also driven by your breathing and your heart beat (pulse) these two things are two different systems and are not time exactly the same but they both have rhythm which if you know anything about sinewaves, you get a resonance effect.
So your p-wave that is a pulse of pleasure radiating outwards through your body has the feeling of getting more intense and then subsiding  and so on and so on.
SORRY that got a little technical not all of you will follow it.

So why do you feel p-waves without the aneros? Your body has become accustomed to pressure in that area and has become super sensitive to it so just the pressure from your other internal organs against it is enough for the nerve ending to say "hello" which triggers the pleasure feelings, which in turn causes the muscle memory movement to activate which cause contractions.

Look we went full circle contractions do help with p-waves and help them grow!

That was the technical explanation now the easy way.

If you have now p-waves happening what do you do to start them? Contract your pc muscles and with any luck P-WAVES *-:)

I occasionally experience an intense rush which makes me arch my body then a quick subsidence. No 3/4 min pleasure. It just comes then goes as quickly. Very nice though. So what is that classified as. There seems to be be many classifications and variations of super o's, p waves, etc with no clear definition. I realise some will describe feelings differently, but some seem to to be a bit OTT.

It sure sounds like an orgasm to me! P-waves, for me, started out as very intermittent rushes of pleasure, but over several months they've evolved into regular full body waves of pleasure, repeating every 15-20 seconds...and then intensifying into major orgasms!

Wow! Thank you, @braveneworld! What you recounted in your first paragraph is the Aneros autof**k! But I have found that "muscle memory" of my Aneros autof**k is the foundation of Aless or an Anerosless session. I have gotten to the point in the last couple or so months, that my Aless is 24/7! Most of the time my Aless is subtle and appears behind the scenes. Aless is a perpetual condition that I can tap into and produce in myself such Aneros sweetness. This sweetness is the basis of my Aneros horniness which is the foundation of Aless foreplay for the real thing, that is found in my Aneros sessions!

@BigGlandsDC Yes, I have the aless feelings 24/7 and they keep me awake and or wake me up, and yes, well all through the day its happening.
Aneros Autopuck umm yer sort of! Autopuck is when the aneros really gets moving. Sometimes its stroke will get longer too, so its action is really like bening pucked. But yes you could say it is a mild auto puck..
It may confuse the newbies though. Its like saying the super O is a dry O. Hmm yes they are the same but one is way more intense than the other so this is why they are called different things.
But then everyone feels things differently too :)

I like your explanation. But can you tell how long the period between two max-points of the pleasure waves is? Seconds, minutes?

To me it´s more minutes than seconds... But it´s always difficult to be sure we are talking of the same things.

@toolbox The movement of the aneros being driven by your heart beat is about every second so the waves are about the same. Its a pulse of pleasure as a base line. You then add your breathing into the mix which adds movement and pleasure too. Now depending on how fast you are breathing depends on when your peak of pleasure will be for that movement. Not mention your heart beat will change as you get sexually excited. So you are in a state of flux!
Theses movements all create pleasure at their own varying speed and sometimes each point of pleasure for each movement will peak at the same time. This makes you moan with pleasure. This will all compound your excitement and the p-waves become amplified even more. You get so excited that your body thinks its time to ejaculate and goes through the motions but for whatever reason there is no  cum. This is a dry O.
I dont have any idea why there is no cum, it has something to do with they way you are stimulated but i dont even pretend to know its just a intoxicating feeling.

The one most important thing to note is while in a session try your best not to think about identifying theses sensations. Relax and empty your mind. After a session you can look back and identify things.
Thinking about this stuff in a session slows or kills the session!
Even now my dick bouncing while having dry Os if I look down at it, it all stops.
The thing is its ALL IN YOUR HEAD! Your brain is pleasuring its self with the sensations your body can produce.
Maximum pleasure can be anything from a second to a minute or two just depending on your excitement.
This answers your question but it also doesent answer it too.
p-waves can be at varying peak speeds.
    Dry-Os can be too
    So can Super Os.
    Confused yet?
Thats why you can not get hung up on the details just enjoy it while its happening, the more you do it the better it becomes but you have to be in for the long haul, thats why they call it a journey.

All I can say is that @braveneworld has said it all so well when it comes to P-waves are all about.

Just enjoy and do not over-analyze what you are experiencing. Just enjoy the Aneros journey! ;)

That has been my experience since the beginning of this year.

Funny reading how much it differs for everyone :-) basically though p waves are just any feeling you feel from your prostate, not always in waves either. Not misleading at all ;-)
