Prostate shift?

I've noticed through a little manual manipulation that my prostate seems to be low in my body at start but after a little stimulation it seems to raise about an inch or so up.   Does this seem possible?  Could this explain why some of us start to feel good sensations and then suddenly they disappear.  I've noticed when I first insert the device and go hands free I can get these nice sensations and then they vanish, but I can feel them again of I manually push the toy up further than is possible by hands free manipulation.

Interesting !   Perhaps this explains why some of us experience plateaus or 'dull periods' during our journeys.

Some of this might be just some change in the degree or pattern of prostate engorgement that occurs due to the arousal of an Aneros session.   Or, for guys with bph, some shift in how the prostate is riding against the forward rectal wall--perhaps some minor change in the smooth muscle of the rectal wall.

Earlier this year I had somewhat the opposite situation for about two months.   The neutral or resting position of my favorite toys (Helix, Eupho and Helix-syn the time)  was suddenly too far "up" (inward) on my prostate to stimulate the spot I was wired into.   During a session I was pushing outward just a bit to get that feeling of "divine contact" with my 'wired spot.'

In chat, Rumel (that man with the great corporate memory), reminded me that one of the early Anerosians had fabricated a "spacer" to limit how far the toy entered the anal canal.  I made a spacer from some closed-cell foam and used that for several weeks.   The spacer put the toy back on my 'wired spot' and all was well.   Several sessions with an old MGX (that never really lit my fire) were surprisingly great without the spacer.

Then I bought a ProJr. which offered a different geometry.   It's also a winner without the spacer.

I plan on a Uro visit in the next couple of months and will pose this to him.  Haven't yet decided to carry along my Helix of just a full size foto.   :)

This usually happens with me, yes. Even with a finger up there, I can sort of feel the prostate hide away into the body after a minute or so. It's frustrating, and I only get proper sensations for about five minutes from insertion.

And Rook brings up a point about the Aneros missing the Prostate spot. Seen one or two other topics mention this - but I may try either the MGX or Progasm again to see if this helps anything. I know I've often gotten good results from the Progasm but my anus stings a lot from using it. (This half-year or so by now)

Yep, I tried a finger too and can confirm mine hides away as well after a minute or so. So maybe all this rewiring talk is really about getting the prostate stabilized and consistent contact made.

If you've ever dissected an animal's internal organs, you undoubtedly noticed that they are not rigidly held in place, rather they are generally tethered and slung from other muscles and bones by tendons, ligaments, membranes and other sinuous fibers. This allows the organs some relative movement with respect to the animals overall dynamic movements and biological processes (breathing, eating, digestion, excretion, etc.). Likewise your internal organs are allowed movement within the area of your abdomen. Just as the chest cavity expands and contracts with every breath, the belly becomes distended after a big meal, the groin expands as the bladder fills, the body needs to easily accommodate these changing conditions and flexibility of movement is essential to that end.

Your prostate lies at the bottom of your bladder, this duo of organs is supported by the pelvic floor muscles, so when you flex those muscles they will move a bit. Likewise when you flex your anal sphincter muscles with an Aneros present the Aneros is forced to move in and out a little bit with its tip nudging the anterior wall of the rectum thus massaging your prostate. Various combinations of muscle movements not only move the Aneros relative to the prostate but also move the prostate relative to your Aneros. Now combine this with varied body positions and the effect of gravity to move the internal organs even more, you can easily imagine your prostate moving all over the place. So in answer to your question "Does this seem possible?" YES absolutely!

This is one of the reasons why it is suggested you try a variety of body positions, to find the best ones for stimulation of your prostate. The admonition to relax your muscles also contributes here as it builds a consistent support situation for your internal organs, allowing you to make conscious contractions to effectively move your Aneros to further stimulate your prostate. I hope that helps your understanding.

@rook @rummel I asked this question my my thead "Hmmm It Just Stopped." I think mine has shifted. If I can get in just the right position I can get some slight tingles. Otherewise nothing. Now I think I may experiment to see if it dropped down a bit. The deep contractions no longer produced the kind of feelings it did. If you review my thread, you will see that this all started for me after a couple of incredible sessions with the wife that yeilded extremly deep and hard contractions.

Add to that the EXTREME improvement and power of the my muscles doen there and now it seems I might have caused it to move or slip.

@rumel, thank you again for clarity and information. One of the problems with medical diagrams or body diagrams is that they draw bits like bladder, rectum, vagina as cavities, whereas is in fact on reality they are often in a collapsed or contracted state. This then places them in quite a different positions, and as you say all abdominal organs are very mobile.

Not sure if this matters at all, but even if the prostate shifts, the aneros device will move also during a session.  Usually the device will get sucked in, and I mean sucked in really hard!  Thats got to be a difference in movement of a 1/4".  Then it will move back out and then sucked back in, this happens to me several times during each session.
