goodbye handles!

i had been holding off for a couple of weeks on the aneros to let some soreness i can get chill out.

tonight i had a long awaited 2 hour session.

    two big discoveries.

    (1) cut off the handle! (not the p-tab, just the curly handle)

    (2) use your fingers to add pressure to your perineum.

    i'll elaborate.

i was switching models in and out. i started w/ the prograsm. went to the helix (i love that sequence as the helix feels so nimble and directed after the progasm). followed that w/ the eupho. then back to the progasm.

the revelation came when, for goofs, i switched in my classic (an earlier version of the mgx). i didn't expect it to stand up to the others. but, holy shit, i completely dominated. why? it was the only model with the handle cut off (i had "experimented" with the unit i prized least).

i got such incredibly directed prostate stimulation from its ability to rock forward unimpeded. simply put, i got more of the "aneros prostate magic" then i ever had in any past experience. also my anus felt particularly wonderful, like it was liberated from a hinderence and could really feel its full pleasure.

i then, in a mania, cut off the handle of the helix. Presto! it too vastly improved.

I think this may be the ticket for men who are not getting that "prostate stimulation" feeling .

(by the way, if you cut it off, use a nail file to smooth out the sharp edges of the nub)

the other discovery was one i have written about before but, it was particularly clear tonight.

when on your back, particularly with your legs propped up on a chair or ottoman, grab your balls and gently stretch them up towards your dick. and while you are at it, press on your perineum with your finger tips.

i found that this really accelerated me into orgasm.

I agree, I love that position and pulling on or pushing down on my balls and massaging my perineum really rocks my world.
I also like the testicle lifts you mentioned in another post.

    But,
I've cut the handle off the mgx and it just seemed like a butt plug after that. Not that thats a bad thing, I love using and getting off with butt plugs. The peineum tab is what makes the Aneros different from a butt plug and is why I like it.

Also If they came out with a Progasm with a mini vibrator inside, that would rock my world.

    uh oh! CLARIFICATION TIME.

i meant to suggest only cutting off the HANDLE... not the p-tab!

(i have edited the original post to make this clear)

My Helix without the handle absolutely rocks. Not only is it so much more responsive but I can leave it in for whenever I want surreptitious stimulation. At the moment I am sitting on the sofa with Helix in place and getting tingles, throbs, twitches and P-waves galore while I type this post on the laptop. 'Er indoors is working at the desktop with her back to me totally oblivious of my arousal not 8 feet away from her! I must admit, my responses to her eBay problems are somewhat vague and dreamy, hopefully she'll put it down to:

    a) Not enough sleep (true) due to noisy neighbor (not true, it was the Progasm.)
    b) My being slightly stoned. Not unusual but not the case today.

See also my 'Helix goes to the Dentist' thread :-)

To clarify, as Darwin has done, I have only removed the curly handle, not the P-tab. I wish I could afford another Progasm, I love to be able to do similar with that...

    Have fun,

i should add that an extra benefit of cut off handle is that it enables a particularly delicious position: lying flat on your back. the butt against the bed with the aneros inside feels excellent

thanks for the great idea. I've never liked the handle. It looks silly, and it gets in the way. I thought of cutting it off before, but didn't want to ruin such an expensive item. I'll try it now, though, thanks to your comments.

I'm definitely one of those who are not feeling the direct prostate contact and I've been considering cutting off the handle.

What is the best way to do this?

i just used a scissors at the thinnest part of the handle near the base.

the nub left over is between 1/8 and 1/4 inch.

obviously use the strongest part of the scissors, deep in the crotch.

Just for kicks, I tried cutting the handle of my SGX last night (since I got an MGX and helix recently, the SGX was expendible). With the handle gone, the SGX now seems to work as good as the MGX with its handle!

I used a miter saw to cut off every bit of the handle, and a metal file to smooth out the cut. I got it so there is nothing left of the handle at all, not even a nub.

Now I'm seriously considering taking the handle off my MGX.

hey b mayfield, or support, can you give us some insight into the original design intent of the handle?

is it just there to grab on to for extraction?

or is it supposed to provide some kind of spring action?

more to the point: is it supposed to be functional during the use of the aneros?

i ask because if it has no functional purpose then there would be no theoretical downside to removing it.

this would free folks up to feel less reluctant to take the plunge.

    Darwin,

The primary purpose of the handle is for removal and "handling". To a lesser extent it could be said that it adds a certain amount of stability as well, i.e. the handle extends backwards between your cheeks which support it to a small degree.

Would I suggest that everybody remove their handles....no. It's preferable if you own several models, and let's say that you have one that's been out of the rotation for a while, like an SGX for example. (I note that another user posted on this already). Experiment with one first, before committing yourself with all of your models. This may not be for everyone. Better safe than sorry...

By cutting off a handle I'd worry about the thing getting caught up inside me. I'm a bit paranoid there. I've read all sorts of reports on the web where people lose all sorts of things up there, and it would be very embarrasing to go to ER to have it removed. LOL! Someone even had a lightbulb up there that they managed to extract without breaking. But be aware that any perforation of the lining of your anus and intestine wall (as far as I know) is extremely dangerous. I would be worried that it would be pulled up you rectum with a tab still extending and causing a tear in the lining as it was pulled up during strong contractions. The extra handle prevents this.

Has there ever been a case of an Aneros pulling up inside the anus and causing injury in that way? Has there ever been a case where one of the tabs broke and caused this too happen. Has anyone ever sat on one of these things? Seems it would be painful / harmul...

    distraught-

(maybe you ought to change your name now??!!)

i'm so glad you have been visited by the full aneros OOOOO. fantastic and congratulations!

about the aneros getting stuck in there, yes, it once happened to me. luckily it made its way all the way up and an hour later i barfed it out.

    (just kidding)

with the p-tab in place there is *no way* the thing could get stuck.

yes, i have sat on it. not a problem. though i will say that in general i wouldn't recommend that as it can put more pressure on the perineum than one might want (you of all people will know what i mean)

no, the p-tab is not going to break off unless you smash it with a hammer, which i wouldn't recommend when it is inserted.

keep us posted w/ what you learn

For what it's worth, I just took the handle peice that I cut off my SGX, and tried bending it all over to get it to break. It wouldn't, it just bends. So I doubt the P-tab would ever break, at worst it might bend some.

well... actually i trashed my sgx long ago by trying to radically bend the p-tab. it refused and then snapped off.

if my anus could apply that kind of force i could use it as a cable cutter.

After maybe 2 times with my progasm (which is the only aneros I have) I cut off the K-tap which to me was nothing but useless to me. Then i cut off the tap on the bottom which is there for nothing except to stop you from sitting with it inside you, that made it possible for me to sit at my computer & chat or look at porn with my aneros inside me which is nice. I think we all have our own ways to enjoy our aneros & it may be to make modifications to suit us as we learn this very new feeling that most of us feel.

I removed the handle from my MGX by simply snapping it off, the sanding down the nub with some fine grained sand paper. I feel that it works much better. the friction of the handle against my butt cheeks always seemed to slow the aneros down.

    Hey Darwin!

My SGX met a similar fate, trying to extend the p-tab beyond its limits! So I just removed the handle too and use it for Chair Sessions! (early in my Aneros practice)

This post intrigued me enough to remove the handle on my Helix and I like it! It now gives me a little different tilt forward, towards the prostate and well worth the effort!

Your nail file worked fine: I used a disposable file with a different grit on each side. Used the rough side, the smooth side and finished with the super fine pads from the guitar Luthier site! Smooth as glass!

    My 2 cents!

i took the plunge and cut the handle off of my $87 eupho, and...

    (drumroll)

    i'm glad i did.

i was able to sit in my orgasm chair (my LaFuma recliner) which was most excellent.

the only one in my collection left w/ a handle is the progasm. that one i'll probably keep on.

I cut the handles of my MGX and SGX a while ago and ended up buying again the handled versions. I still use them all. The problem for me is that I like to use the Aneros lying on my back with my knees up slightly, or half sitting up. The handle keeps the Aneros in place. I've found in intense moments that it can pop out (including the Progasm, which is annoying). I've found models with the ridges at the base stay in better, but if you're in a 'bearing down' cycle of your Super O, you need something to anchor the Aneros in there. Also, consistent alignment with the sweet spot is easier with the handle, but for experienced users, again, it shouldn't be a problem.

There are pros and cons to the handle, and I think everyone's individual physiology will determine if they need it or not.

    Darwin, et al

Thanks for the posts regarding cutting the handle off. I wasn't sure if it was just me, the fact I suffer from noassatall, or what. I managed sitting upright the best, but had to sit between two sofa cushions so the handle had someplace to go, but had to sit perfectly still which was very difficult to do. Lying down with legs raised worked only somewhat better.

Today I tried all various positions and had probably the least pleasureable experience thus far, so got onto the site here to research my situation. I'm going to give it a go sans handle and see how that goes.

    Thanks again!

I am now using the Progasm which I have to admit is the most amazing device I have ever purchased, that other two models I have are the MGX and the Helix.

I have removed the handles from the MGX and the Helix but not from the Progasm, I was wondering if there would be anyone else has removed on the back part of the K tab??

    Cheers

On another site I read about the K-tab being used as stimulation of the clefts of the cheeks of your ass - does anyone feel that the K-tab/handle actually aids their stimulation?

What I have found with the K-Tab on the Progasm is that it makes it feel more "in place". It does not appear to cause any particular sensations back there, but maybe that will change with time. I have no intention of cutting it off. All the tails are off of my other models except for the Helix. I have kept that on more for the novelty of it. I prefer the other models with the curly tail off.

I agree, I left the K-Tab on my Progasm on, but for my MGX and Helix, I used a Dremel tool and some fine grit sand paper to make them look as if they never had a curly tail at all. In fact I removed the handle on my MGX even before I ever used it.
