I'm going on a week. Nothing. I'm not getting the results I thought I would. Reading the threads here makes me jealous. I've tried everything and I'm not getting results. Any suggestions???

All I can suggest is don't give up. I'm pretty much in the same boat as you.

I think there is a learning curve involved, it requires time and experimentation.

OOH, yes, I can strongly confirm that there definitely is a learning curve - much patience included!
I have been trying irregularly since 3 weeks and - nothing so far. But I won't give up since I believe in a different approach towards male sexuality. Although I AM eager and really DO want to feel results I keep calming my randiness. Since I was not successful so far, I always finalised my sessions with a "regular" jack-off. So what? Keep on pumping the aneros - all the best to all of you out there!! Best

I forgot to add that at first I was disappointed that I could not get a hard-on while using the aneros. Thru misc. thread infos I realized that you have to get rid of common understandings of how your sexual organs have to react and build up while playing with yourself. Yesterday's session was also a test on watching my dick while training my anal muscles - noshow for minutes, then all of a sudden my cock started moving and erecting however not fully stiff to its maximal capacity, without touching. I also watched and felt my balls moving around the scrotum independently. A neat sensation, ok not boardbreaking, but you know - kind of remarkable;-)
I put this as very initial success since also my emotions went up at this point, meaning I kind of noticed some effect of my pumping efforts. Just wanted to share with you some "minor" experiences that in the long run should all add up to maybe a super-o which I (and you) will achieve one day.
However, I try to keep remembering an old saying: the path is the goal....

Yeah, It's been a lot of practice for me, too. But I got something
yesterday.. I started off with a vibrator-probe thing on my
prostate and let it buzz me until I was feeling lots of nice
waves. Then I took the vibrator out and popped in the
aneros. The excitement level went down, but I'd catch these
waves that were pleasurable. After around 20 minutes, I got
sort of impatient and started to manipulate the aneros -- from
side to side in a rapid fashion. It sent me over the edge -- a
long sustained sort of contraction that was orgasm-like but
not the nuclear pleasure that I was looking for. I was shuddering
all over like an epileptic ferret. I suspect
I rushed eveything, but it was good -- I know now that there
is something there that will really be different when I hit
the jackpot. After that 'orgasm' -- which lasted around
a minute, I waxed my weiner and emptied my prostate with
enough goo to make a bowl of porridge. Fun!

I got my Aneros yesterday. I'm quite familiar with anal stimulation and I was quite surprised by how little I felt while using the Aneros. I'm amazed when I read posts of people persisting for weeks and months without noticing anything.

What I find frustrating is that I have no idea what I should be doing differently. It's like using the Aneros is a mystical experience where you bumble along until you finally 'get' it.

    Peter,

If you've read through the forum you've probably already discovered that your experience is not unique. Even some avowed anal pros can have some difficulty in discovering this new kind of orgasm. Why? One reason is because most newbies (including those familiar with anal play) end up gravitating to a more penile centered approach. Beyond that most are familiar with the immediacy of a traditional orgasm and anticipate similar results from the Aneros. Furthermore, many have expected the Aneros to do all of the work for them. This is a natural assumption based on how everything is marketed to us these days (including the Aneros). It is the stock and trade of advertising, getting people to preferrentially purchase one item over another whether or not the product actually delivers on any of its vaunted benefits. Buy this, use that, do this and be instantly gratified. The truth here is that the Aneros really does work, but (for many) the results do take time to achieve. Is it worth it? Absolutely! But keep this in mind, the Aneros facilitates the response that YOU must create by exploring new techniques of generating sensation.

This takes time and patience, and yes, learning can have stumbling aspects to it. But rest assured that once you do achieve results, i.e., the Super O, the last thing that you're going to be thinking of is how long it took you to get there. More likely you'll be thinking...I gotta do that again! This much is certain however, to succeed in this pursuit it is necessary to withhold your skepticism and suspend your disbelief for a time. Is this a mystical experience? Not really. To be sure there is a distinctly physical basis for the techniques (for generating a Super O) and the Super itself. But since the process may be unique from one individual to the next, I've used some mystical terms from time to time to describe it. The learning process can be paradoxical at times as well. For instance, I've found that if newbies get too hung up on creating their own techniques they may fail. Yet, it necessary for them to create new techniques and discover new sensations. For this reason, I advised many to passively nudge the process along (yes, another paradox). It's about being open and aware to what works, yet not be wedded to any one single technique....ultimately things do reveal themselves.

These are some of the techniques that I have discovered, they are the basis upon which I am now able to generate a Super O on demand. Focused breathing, anal contractions, rectal contractions, abdominal contractions, body positioning, and most importantly mental focus. One other factor I would add, in regard to proper use of the Aneros is the positioning of the abutment tab (See In Search of the Sweet Spot n BEE Line). These are the instruments with which you create your own Symphonie the finale being the Super O.

Look to generating and encouraging sensations deep within your abdomen. Slowly expand your lower diaphragm by inhaling into that area. Contract your anus slightly and hold. Perhaps you may feel a gentle tickling sensation inside you (much like a butterfly in the stomach). Try gentle panting (very shallow in and out breathing, barely audible) over the top of that expanded belly. Maybe stop the panting and try a gentle rectal contraction (the bearing /down pushing out kind of contraction) coupled with an abdominal contraction. Hold it for several seconds. Be observant of any deep abdominal sensations. If they occur harvest them...that is enjoy them and encourage more by a little more panting. Use the mental picture of ramping it up. Again this panting need not be heavy or deep, it is vibratory breathing designed to encourge sensation within abdomen. I should caution that the idea here is NOT for one to hyperventilate or become anoxic, rather it is to move and vibrate the abdomen and generate sensations that may be coupled with anal, rectal and prostatic sensations and eventually (if involuntary anal contractions occur) with perineal sensations as well. Mentally focus on bringing sensation deep within you abdomen. Visualize an anal contraction as sweeping sensation into your body. Visualize your prostate swelling with excitement. Visualization is a powerful tool as it may cause our bodies to excute involuntary actions that we wouldn't think of performing voluntarily. USE IT! Experiment with anal and rectal contractions at the same time, experience how their antagonistic relationship may be used to generate sensation. (You may notice that when you execute an anal with a rectal you get an abdominal contraction as well) . Let go of the anal contraction while maintaining the rectal or vice versa. All of these things can produce sensation. Experiment and explore!

Again I must emphasize, look for sensations deep within abdomen, (NOT WITHIN YOUR PENIS), and look to create such sensations with anal, and rectal contractions and breathing. Hold on to and concentrate sensations with mental focus and visualization.

    Stay with it!

P.S. The Super O can certainly be enjoyed with or without an ejaculation as a topper ( I've done both). The opinions I expressed in my comments in Shazam's thread were my own based upon my more common experience of becoming congested after such intense arousal (the Super O). May you find your own way as pleasant.

I'm accustomed to prostate massage where I pay no attention to the penis. These are slow, relaxed sessions where I don't care about orgasm and I just enjoy the pleasure that comes from stroking and massaging the prostate. Sometimes this results in orgasm but usually it doesn't.

I don't mind working on breathing and all those other things to reach the Super O. But first I would like to experience a little pleasure from having the Aneros inside me. I've tried a variety of positions and ways of contracting the anal muscles. But the main thing I feel is the wing digging into my perineum. I tried moving that in various places but I don't notice any difference.

Do you own the MGX or the smaller SGX model? If MGX, are there raised areas (knobs) on the end of the unit or is it smooth? When you say that the main thing that you feel is the wing (abutment tab) of the unit, do mean that you don't feel any prostate contact at all?

I have the MGX with a smooth tab.

It's often difficult to tell if there is prostate contact. But when I remove the Aneros I can tell feel there has been contact. I'm not sure if the sensation in the perineum overrides the sensation from the prostate or if I just don't find it pleasurable to have a hard object pressing against the prostate.

First, I suggest that you give it a little more time and do some more experimentation in order to definitively determine if you're getting adequate prostate engagement. You'll also want to determine what the role of the abutment tab is playing here, i.e. if the abutment tab is pressing so hard that is so uncomfortable for you that it is overriding pleasant sensations elsewhere. Depending on what you find out, you have a couple of options. If contact is lacking, you may want to consider getting an old style MGX. This model has two small raised areas on the end of the body of the unit that can afford you a little extra contact. Furthermore, the old style MGX has an abutment tab that engages the perineum differently as well, higher (slightly farther away from the anus) and not as tightly (doesn't dig in as much).

A different option would be modifying your existing unit to make the abutment tab a little more comfortable. This method is not difficult but requires a heat gun, some planning and a steady hand. The idea is to heat the abutment tab a half inch or so from the base until it becomes malleable, then apply a small amount of force on the tab going backwards (away from the body of the device). If you choose to try this, remember, plan it out and start small with any adjustments that you make.

A last option would be to proceed without the Aneros initially. The techniques that I outlined are fully capable of generating a Super O without the Aneros (albeit not as powerfully). Once you develop your own Super O chops you can always re-introduce at a later time. Others have found this approach helpful. With this method the Aneros is used to optimize and intensify the Super O and unlock the multiples potential. If you choose this option, I also suggest the use of some good erotica or some source of visual stimulation (you want to maximize your arousal as much as possible). At the same time, start with some of the breathing and contractions with a focus on creating sensations deep within your lower abdomen (see my comments 7/25 in this thread).

I always start out my sessions with several Super O 's by this method. I find it an excellent prelude or warm-up if you will.

    Hope this helps,

    B Mayfield
