  • Hi all,

I am 36 and ever since I started to masturbate my semen would shoot out when orgasm occurs. Of course this was stronger when I was in my teens but even into adulthood it was still pretty strong.

Then about 3-4 years ago it stopped, and when I say stop I really mean it, like one day it would and 2-3 days later it didn't. Now it simply drools out at a rather slow pace.

Back then I was still smoking but I quit (not because of that) and still smoke-free going on 3 years now and yet things are still the same. During an appointment with a urologist I ask about it and he simply mumbled an answer, though it was reassuring that he made nothing of it i am still left in the dark.

See the thing is I started my rewiring about 4-5 years (still ongoing) and I can't help but feel that is the two are somehow related.

What is the mechanism that makes semen shoot or drool, and could the Aneros use be the reason why it changes?

@GordonShock - yes - I can identify with what you wrote.  I didn't smoke however, but I did notice a fall off in my ability to shoot after starting my aneros explorations (this would be at about age 48 - I am now 52).

I did have a really bad case of Giardia lamblii at about the same time, and I can't honestly say that this didn't have an effect too.

However, I do think the way I have a wet orgasm has changed.  May be the shooting distance is one of these ways, but when I do ejaculate, afterwards I now get a series of rather dry orgasm like orgasms, that repeat at intervals of less than a minute, and which slowly fade away.  I NEVER had those before.  My wet orgasms used to be ALL about the pleasure of shooting streams of cum, and the intensity of the orgasm lasted only as long as I was shooting.

I can still shoot a fair amount, but I have to edge for quite a while (say an hour or 2) before it will happen.

In the last 4 years, I have given up porn too, and THAT may also have had an effect.

It would be very difficult to ascribe the aneros as a cause of this decline, perhaps it too is a symptom of something changing within us?  Ageing for instance?  Searching for something different?

Strangely, I never shot as a youth and as I progressed through sex with my wife over the years, I actually started shooting on a regular basis after I hit about 25-26 years of age.  By 30, it was flying over her head!  Now, but not often, it reaches distances of up to 5 feet away (but could be more if I was standing up and not kneeling on the floor).  My build up is stronger, the edging is more intense, I can feel the semen building up inside me at the base of my cock, swelling big time over the last 4 years or so.  Now I'm almost 38 and I still for the life of me can't understand why I shoot bigger, further and harder now than I did when I was 18, when I never once shot cum at all!!!  Maybe aneros has helped some, I started when I was about 26 or 27...

The last time I masturbated (traditional masturbation). I was laying down on back and I hit parts of my face with my load :). I am 40.

I've seen lots of men shoot their loads close-up. I personally don't shoot far and not a large amount, even as a teen. I'm 67 now and it's the same. I think it depends in part on the thickness and tenacity of our cum. I have very thick tenacious cum but guys with more liquidy cum seem to shoot farther and a larger amount. Maybe it's to do with genetics or dehydration, IDK. It must have Something to do with arousal and the type of orgasms going on. And also the pelvic floor muscle tone.

That being said I can"drool" a small amount of cum when I've been edging for a long time if I'm careful. It's called it"ruined orgasm" and feels wonderful. It's not the same as what you're talking about though. Thank you for bringing up this fun fact for men!

@Canacan LMAO you're right...what does it say about me reading this???

    @techpump @bsmith14...OMG the visuals...HOT STUFF.

I get why the question was asked, thats cool, however I dont think it really matters which one you do.  As long as you are healthy...its still hot...although shooting makes it hard to catch all of it, I dont like licking it off the walls.  Did I just say that???

@Canacan, since I ain't got no class today, what ain't classy? this thread? this poster? ain't you being a tad judgmental? @devajones, why don't you tell us what it says about you for reading this??? @GordonShock, I'm not sure how it figures in my Aneros use but curious.

Thanks, it helps me to know I have nothing to be concerned about. The thread may not be classy but it is helpful.
  • What is not classy about my thread?

I am puzzled by a part of my body that suddenly doesn't behave the same way as it did for a number of years. Not only that but I have reason to believe that this might be caused by Aneros use.

I still can't find/don't have a satisfactory explanation as to how the mechanism that controls the strength of the ejaculation works...

@GordonShock, it is a mystery to me. I found some rather awful vids, that were rather helpful, of throbbing cum shots from underneath. What seems to happen is that the BC muscles drops down then contracts up, somehow this is the pumping action in "young studs". I am not sure which movement is the pump. If this is so then it seems as I have grown older my BC muscles does not drop down but rather expends and contracts in a quiet (gentlemanly) way. I get the hormone down response but not the thrill of the chase!
The Aneros has not done this as it was happening well before. I turned to Aneros use to relax the unrequited tension in my prostate. This has helped me a lot.
I cannot find the trigger, nor find the muscles to strengthen to get back to the 'good old throb'
Sadly there is so much information about female orgasms but next to nothing about male ejaculation and orgasm.

I believe that @GordonShock has a valid right to have his thread and poll on types of semen ejaculation.

Perhaps several polls could be held on penile erections in guys of all ages.

While the Aneros focuses upon achieving and/or maintaining good prostate health, I have observed that my two years of journeying with Aneros has had not only a general benefit toward my overall health and vigor as an aging man, but more specifically upon my sexual equipment or apparatus. That includes beneficial effects on my orgasm and ejaculation, and my erections.

I salute @isvara for his saying that male ejaculation and orgasm is not as researched as female orgasm. Here in the USA, for example, we have an epidemic of male erectile dysfunction (ED).

P.S. As regards the quality of my ejaculation these days, I vary between a few nice spurts and a "sweet" creamy oozing of my cum. I credit the Aneros for making my climaxes and ejaculations so sweet, and this sweetness permeates my whole body. ;)

@euphemistic "Ruined Orgasm" sound horrific and frustrating. There is a rather popular reddit group though.

I used to shoot for sever feet and make quite the mess. Now it just comes out most of the time. I feel like I have way more "Power" during sex with the wife and she says it is still quite "messy" not in a bad way.

I have quite strong PC and anal muscles from Aneros but is has not increase ejaculation power although orgasms are better.

I looked up ejaculation in Wikipedia ( nd found this:

"The semen is ejected through the urethra with rhythmic contractions.[4] These rhythmic contractions are part of the male orgasm. They are generated by the bulbospongiosus muscle under the control of a spinal reflex at the level of the spinal nerves S2-4 via the pudendal nerve"

"In three-quarters of men, the semen exuded from the penis, "In other males the semen may be propelled from a matter of some inches to a foot or two, or even as far as five or six (rarely eight) feet".[7] Masters and Johnson report ejaculation distance to be not greater than 30–60 cm.[8] Distance of ejaculation however, has nothing to do with sexual functioning, as during penetration of penis in vagina the distance of ejaculation plays no role. Dribbling of semen from the penis is usually sufficient for impregnation."

As for why the change, maybe Rumel or someone else can answer that. GordonShock, you don't say why you're concerned about this. Rewiring has definitely affected me physically and you have much more time with aneros than me . If you're worried, go back and ask your urologist to explain and ask them to talk in a normal tone of voice. They won't knoe abbout aneros probably, but you can tell them you're doing kegels or ass play.

xtimedt69, it sounds bad but feels good. Nothing is ruined except the ejaculation and the refractory. The orgasm is more full body.
  • @ Euphemistic

I did say why it bothers me. One day I shoot and the next I drool...seems strange and bothersome to me.

Actually my urologist response was audible, he just kind of wave it off meaning that I should think nothing of it, but being curious I'd like to know why and how this happened.

for me its been both and I'm only 40yrs old.  I think how long you abstain from ejaculation and how horny you are has alot to do with it also.  Most times it just oozes out but there have been times it has shot over my head!

I've been a distance shooter since I was a teen, but the final distance always depended on how long I spent jacking off, and how excited I was, before I allowed myself to shoot my load! My most memorable were shooting on my face and over my head, and the volume of my load during those early years was often enough to require at least 6 tissues to clean up, or a tube sock to catch it all!

Now, with Aneros as an integral part my sexuality, my orgasms are incredibly more intense, long lasting, and cover my whole body! I mostly squirt when I shoot a load, but it's never a worry when I don't because of all the other pleasure I got before shooting my load because of Aneros and my prostate! Damn, I sound like a freaking commercial!

    Orgasm On!

What is the mechanism that makes semen shoot or drool, and could the Aneros use be the reason why it changes?

I have no definitive explanation for this phenomenon but I do have one hypothesis which might offer an explanation and since @euphemistic requested I'll put it out here. This is not the only possible reason as many factors such as age, health and mood can also factor into our Aneros usage.

One of the fundamentally essential techniques a successful Aneros user learns is to relax, we literally train ourselves to deeply relax our muscles (especially our pelvic floor muscles). Simultaneously we are training ourselves to identify, isolate and contract specific muscle groups, first, under conscious control then, over time, those muscle contractions happen semi-automatically under subconscious control but in response to our 'intent'. This is all part of our 'rewiring', we are actually altering the neural pathways in our brains creating new optional orgasmic pathways. The old pathways (of traditional masturbatory practice) still exist but now new alternates are also being employed, each time the new path is used it is strengthened and the fewer times the old pathway is used it tends to atrophy in strength.

At some point in some men's rewiring this new learned path gains equal or greater strength over the old pathway such that when one attempts to return to the old path an element of cross-wiring occurs. This is mostly noticed when one is first learning/training to establish the new path, but it works in reverse as well. The old pathway (traditional masturbatory practice) creates muscular tension in the pelvic floor muscles which leads to strong spasmodic contractions and the onset of ejaculation. The greater the built up of tension in those muscles the greater the likelihood for a spurting ejaculation. Now introduce into that older path a trained response of relaxing the pelvic floor muscles and suddenly there is no longer high level muscular tension to power strong spasmodic contractions of the BC muscles, hence, non-forceful, oozing ejaculations.

This will still probably trigger a refractory period as long as you continue penile stimulation through the orgasm. This wouldn't constitute a 'ruined orgasm' but is simply a normal ejaculation without much expulsive energy behind it, the pleasure is the same just less fluid pressure exhibited. I believe you can relearn to experience those spurting ejaculations again by building the pelvic floor tension up through 'edging' practice and deliberate muscular tensing but is this really what you want to accomplish? Ejaculations are fun and pleasurable whether they are spurting or drooling, as long as you are 'cleaning the pipes' regularly does it really matter?

Thank you very much for your insightful reply. Indeed it doesn't really matter, this whole thread is just an attempt on my part to satisfy my curiosity.

Somewhere in the back of my mind I kinda thought along the same lines but it's nice to have a confirmation.

Still though, it leaves many questions unanswered. Such as what to think of men who experience the complete opposite, they use to drool but since they began to use the Aneros they now shoot? Or why, in my case for instance, why was it so sudden, usually when a part of the human body start behaving in a completely different way almost overnight bells should go off.

In my case my gut feeling never rang the alarm, which explains why it took me 3 years to post this thread. It still doesn't feel resolve but I wholly appreciate your input nonetheless.
