Why do I feel nothing???
  • I've using the aneros since January. I now own the MGX and the Helix. I can say that the Helix does seem to touch more aggressively inside me for all that does. I have tried EVERYTHING on this forum, and I feel like I'm just getting too obseessed with this whole thing, I read the forum every two days searching for ANY type of technique or key that will produce any kind of response from my aneros. After insertion and relaxation, about 10mins into my session my anus will start drawing the aneros in, and "sucking" on it, much like the way a baby will suck on its thumb. I guess these are involuntary contractions? I just relax into it and let go, letting the feelings take me where they will. The contractions ebb and flow and vary in intensity from slight to slow and grinding, my breathing also can get quite rapid along w/ my heartrate. It had been like this for about six months now. But still, I get no pleasurable feelings at all from these sessions. I try not to expect anything, it just gets BORING and dissapointing. The Helix especially seems to be rubbing what(I think) is my prostate, but this feels sour and burning, like its scratching a spot inside me. I really don't know if its hitting the right spot at all. But no position or manipulation or breating etc etc ever gives me some sort of clue to hang onto and work with. If I can't feel anything good, then I don't know what works and what doesn't. Is the aneros working the way its supposed to? Do I have a prostate at all? I really don't know. If I get to a year mark with this thing with no results- sorry I'm just tossing it in the trash- its becoming a colossal waste of time...

    qwer1234,

Wow, I can feel your frustration! Do you still have the involuntaries and shaking you described in an earlier thread? If so, then you just listed all the Aneros effects that I have as well. Only other ones I have are "rewiring" effects without the Aneros. Any of those for you? Anyway, I would like to hear the experts responses since they will most likely help me on the way as well.

Do you always conclude your Aneros session with a traditional orgasm? In another thread the suggestion was not to do that until the next day in order to continue the non traditional Aneros feelings into sleep. This is making a difference for me in and out of sleep and getting neat rewiring effects taking place during the night.

I also have come up with some wild new positions that help give new responses. One is on back with legs up in the air and knees bent. Another was suggested in a thread which is to stand next to the bed and bend over 90 degrees at the hips to the bed. Both of these have produced strong involuntaries

But, don't know if it leads further down the road....just like you.

You have made quite an investment....I would hate to see you throw in the towel (Aneros)!

Let others know how you break thru.....many are in the same situation.

    Hi qwer1234,

I wish I had some good, concrete advise for you. It sounds as though you have thrown about everything at this process. The fact that your heart rate and breathing are becoming rapid is a major indicator that you are on the right track. That is all part of it.

I have tried a couple of stupid little things that you might want to try during the times when your heart rate and breathing is rapid. I have the most amount of feelings come up when I exhale. I have learned that there is something about if I groan or make some kind of noise while I exhale. I would try to take the quickest inhale that I could and make the exhale last as long as I could. Hey, it may not be anything, but if it could help trigger something with you, I will throw it into the mix.

Hang in there and keep us posted.

    Buster
  • Well, thanks for the tips, I'll try anything at this point...
"Re-Wiring"? I couldn't tell you what that is, I see the word thrown around alot on the forum, I just don't know what it means. But I'll definetely try not ending my session with traditional masturbation until the next day w/o the aneros.

    qwer1234,

Rewiring, by the way, for me is when during the day or night without the Aneros an unusual "Aneros type" effect occurs. For me, it might mean shaking/buzzing/shudders over the whole body when I just come out of, during, or just going into sleep. For me, they are lasting longer each time. Or during the day (one of the threads talked about it happening to them in the office sitting down) tingling, shudders, or involuntaries occur for some folks (not for me as strongly as during the night). I take these as a good roadsign towards the "o". But, I am just a newbie and learning too.

I wish you good luck! I hope you get a bolt of lightning during your sleep!

  • Hmmm... sometimes I feel tingily or warm sensations if I think about the aneros during the day. Sometimes I feel exited about trying it again. What perplexes me is that I get the contractions, or gently do them myself, and I feel no pleasure. Most users on the forum report once they find a good position and relax, just by doing the contractions and breathing, the sensation of the aneros rubbing their prostate is mildly to incredibly pleasurable, whether or not it takes them 6 months to a super-O. This makes me think either the aneros is not hitting the right spot or I'm doing something very wrong and/or leaving out some key component of the process?

    qwer1234,

For me, I used to do contractions religiously as instructed by the online document or forum but now when I get into the preferred position with the Aneros inserted, some Aneros movement (even though small) begins within minutes usually. And, I let it go by itself. The famous "do nothing" approach I guess. I figure that the Aneros and body know better what to do and so I should let it. And, it does feel more pleasurable to let it go that route. Letting go.

So, I do limited contractions now. Maybe that's wrong maybe that's right. Who knows? Sounds like each person has a different journey or route they take. You have to feel your way. A nice trip, though.

  • That is exactly right Tripper. I can only tell you that the "let it go" method works for me. It took me over 6 months to figure that out. Now that I know that I am actually able to contract or push or pull a little to add even more sensation to the mix once I have the baseline. If you find something that feels good, then go with that. It might be a dead end, but at least you will figure that out.

Hmm... maybe what I would recommend is just trying to start a baseline sensation and hold onto it. See how long you can keep it going. If the pleasure increases let it, but do not try and amplify it.

This is a very tricky device. I had an absolutely incredible session where I had what seemed to be 12 or 13 orgasms tied together lasting the better part of 2 hours. After all of that you would think that I would have some idea what brought it on, but alas the next go was mediocre at best. Even when you get there, it is not always "the greatest thing ever." I suspect that it is like sex in that most of the real pleasure takes place between the ears. If you are really excited, it is mind blowing, if you are just sort of bored and doing it because you are both there, then it is just average.

I think that it sounds like the OP is a little to worried about what people on the forum say works for them. Remember that we can only give suggestions and advice. Our advice may help or hinder so don't take it to seriously. We are not you, in your current condition. For example, I am going to be 30 next month, have a fairly stable work and living environment, and little stress at the moment. I am physically active and in decent shape. I am also currently single so have no regular outlet for my sexual energy. I drink socially once or twice a week and do not smoke or do drugs. These are the conditions of my life, and probably ultimately lead to my successes and failures. This however may not be your exact condition. Again, this is probably no different than sex with a partner. It could be good, it could be bad, there are many factors. You are more qualified than anyone else to determine what is holding you back.

Hang in there and it will happen.

    Same for me-
Once the Aneros is inserted, within minutes its starts moving on its own, bumping around, pushing and pulling... I just let it do its thing, assuming this is what its supposed to do. But, again, there are no feelings involved that I would call encouraging or pleasurable. It has been like this for about 8 months with no change. Really, I've tried every techinique suggested on the forum, could not say what I need to do. Quite a bland experience really...

    Rewiring.

What can I say except that it is a truly amazing thing. As we speak, I am sitting in an office with a bunch of people and I have getting some severe shots of pleasure in the groin area. Not in the penis at all, just in the area. It feels as though the whole area just swells up and feels heavy with pleasure. If it werent for these pesky people sitting within feet of me right now, I could parlay this into a session without much work.

I feel as though it is my body telling me that it is time for a session. That is the only way I can think of to describe what the rewiring is. It is all just different than it was before Aneros.

    Hello qwer1234.

In one week I've gone from "almost nothing going on with Aneros" to "so much going on I really can't handle it" . In the hope that one or two of the things that I did might help you, here's a short summary of what's been added to my routine the last 8 days plus a few suggestions you might want to try:

1--ECSTASY CD--Have listened to it 7 days in a row. I think it really makes a difference. There are some references on this forum about the effect sound can have on arousal and sexual function. I was skeptical. Now I believe. Available to download at brainsync.com for about $10.

2--AMYGDALAE--Read parts of Neil Slade's book that explains the amygdalae (you can download it at neilslade.com for less than $20). Last week I didn't even know what amydalae were (they're parts of your brain) and now I can focus on them and start a p-wave anytime, anywhere with or without Aneros. Just today I'm starting to get intense pleasure feelings (just like in the prostate) in the amygdalae (that is, in my brain). Yikes!

3--SLIGHTEST TOUCH--Short sessions with this device did nothing for me and I didn't even think about it for a long time and considered it a waste. Starting a week ago today, I wore it 3 to 4 hours a day for 3 days in a row just to see what would happen. I've never been the same.

4--P-WAVES--Actually this goes back to about 3 weeks. Since I felt absolutely nothing with Aneros, I wondered if I even had a prostate. So during the day, mostly while driving, I tried to observe if I could feel anything at all in that region. To my surprise I did. I tried focusing on those feelings every possible moment. Over a 3 week period the ability to observe and feel this pleasure grew daily. It even moved around and I could feel pulses around my ankles and wrists. Just think, those feelings have been there all my life and I never even knew it.

5--SOFT PALETE NURSING--This has been the breakthrough key for me. This technique elevated everything for me to a level I only dreamed of a few days ago. See darwin's thread entitled "soft palete nursing" from October 12, 2006. Try it and if it works for you as it has for me, you'll be off to the races. Also see my post from earlier today under the "Shakes Good or Bad?" thread.

6--RELAX--I read darwin's "relax--relax--relax" post a couple of times. It helped a lot.

Well that's what has opened the door for me. No super-o's yet, but lots of incredible feelings and experiences. A week ago I was stuck; now I can't wait for each new day (or night).

    OTHER SUGGESTIONS:
DIET--There is a thread on this forum that discusses the importance of diet, started I think by zaneblue. She mentions the importance of fish oil. It's a supplement that will enhance your body's ability to achieve the mental part of this journey. I've taken large amounts of fish oil for several years and I believe that's one reason the amygdalae have been so effective for me. If you decide to add fish oil supplements, be sure to get a top quality brand. There's a lot of difference in quality and some brands are truly worthless. I can make a suggestion if you'd like.
ANEROS--The first Aneros that I tried was Helix and to this day I get absolutely no positive feelings of any kind when using it. But I tried the MGX and it works well for me. I'm no expert on this, but I think the various models work for different people. I know you don't want to consider a further investment when what you've been doing hasn't worked, but it might just be that the model you have is not for you.

Well, I hope some of this is helpful. I can provide more details on any one of the points above, but this has already gone on too long. If anyone would like more information, I'll be glad to talk about what has worked for me; just ask.

    Hi qwer1234,

The only way one can describe the Aneros experience is weird. Myself I've had one major breakthrough and alot of good feelings since but no recent "o" until today, I had about 4 to 5 waves of what I would call a Mid "O".

To this day I'm really amazed at how the Aneros journey is centered around concentration and breathing.

Here are a couple things that seem to help me along:

    1. Practice your contractions without the Aneros, start with 30 to 40 contractions and hold each one for 7 to 10 secs then slowly release, increase the number as you get better. It works really well for me especially on the days I have a session.

    2. During your session, try really short fast breaths, basically only taking in the bare minimum air you need then move to short slow breaths and then back to normal slow breaths, try varying this pattern. (I know it sounds weird)

    3. One thing I catch myself doing is holding a contraction even though I don't think I am, it can be pretty hard to tell, you may be doing this as well, I find that contractions are a deal breakers for me and I've been working on figuring out what it should feel like without a contraction.

    4. Like many have said, you have to let go, sometimes it helps not to even think about it, just lay there and think of something completly different like a nice relaxing holiday. :)

    5. Not sure if you've tried this but pop it in and goto bed, plan to leave it in for a couple hours and really relax, think about sleeping not the Aneros, this is how I had my first major breakthrough. It almost took me 2 hours before the breakthrough happened, I fell asleep and then bang, it just happened.

I hope you don't throw your Aneros away becuase once you get going with it things get pretty exciting. It's funny but it's almost like body building for your prostate, the more you work it the more intense things get. I find the more you resist traditional orgasms the better the Aneros experience.

Keep us posted and best of luck.

    Yeah,
Maybe I'll try plunging my head into bowl full of jello and screaming- I heard that works wonders...

    Hey,

You have to admit that you haven't seen a forum with this much support. You have a whole gallery of folks cheering you on.

Now if you had total body immersion in jello.....that worked for me.
