Lube experiments

    Hey all..

In addition to all the threads here about natural lube, I thought of doing a few experiments.

    The reason for the experiments:
    - Viscosity is a factor determining how long and how much of the lube is absorbed into the body. Higher absorbtion = less viscosity
    - Higher viscosity might prevent much of the lube from leaking out.
    - Determining how much movement is decreased by higher viscosity.

    On to the experiment.

First part is using oil and adding:
    -Xanthan Gum
    Or/and
    - Gelantine
    To increase viscosity.

I'm guessing Xanthan Gum will "bond" better with the oil and reduce the chance of turning to "gel".
While gelantine will be more likely to emulsify with the oil, and not bond. Either way, if the oil by some chance would turn to gel, this will melt above the body temp of 37 degrees.

    Any thoughts?

Please join in on the experiment.
If you do, it would be great if you note measurements an what type of fat/oils you use :)

Interesting, as gums are frequently in both patent medications, health aids and our salad dressings.

Here are a couple of reads on Xanthan Gum and Guar Gum.  These might provide some helpful characteristics and effects in the human body.

Most of the warnings on internal use of gums relate to some pediatric issues in preemies.  My temptation though is to first do some topical tests before injecting something like Simply Thick [ http://www.fda.gov/forconsumers/consumerupdates/ucm256250.htm ] or, mixing it with my usual shea butter.

Suggest have a douche handy just in case there's a reaction of some sort.

Jupp, I was wondering how you'd evaluate the "risk".
With that said. We still have gelantin which I believe would give less chance, if any, of side effects.
Gelantin is mainly amino acids if I'm not mistaken. 99% protein.. Made from cooked animal parts.

    Alex_xxx,

The 'Natural Jelly' recipe can easily be adjusted to provide nearly any viscosity level you want by the proportion of beeswax you add to the mix. With only three ingredients, it is about as simple as a homemade lube can be : oil, beeswax & vitamin E. There are numerous different oils one may use (almond, canola, castor, coconut, grape-seed, olive, walnut, etc.) and you can even eliminate the vitamin E (acts as a preservative) if you mix small batches that you use up within a month or two.

As @rook and @didymus caution, being your own chemist at home has incalculable risks when you start combining multiple compounds. I don't think I want to use my rectum as part of your testing regime but you are, of course, totally free to concoct any esoteric compound you choose for your own use. I hope you don't poison or injure yourself with your experiments but I'm going to stay with 'Natural Jelly' or shea butter.

    LMAO.
ATTENTION!!!!! ATTENTION!!!!! @rumel's rectum is too valuable, to
be used for your experimental lubrication purposes. :-/

Yeah @rumel, I know about the natural jelly recipe. But it's time to take it one step further... :)

Have any of you tried Aneros Sessions lube? How does it compare to the others ? This is the only lube I have ever tried. It seems to work well for me .Since it is sold by Aneros for their devices I would assume they have well tested it and it is "Safe". What do you folks think?

So I tried the lube without any real measurements. Just heated the oil with some gelantine. Mixed it with my regular coconut oil. Feels better than only the oil. Less of a spill and felt more slippery :) gonna keep experimenting :)
  • I hope this is not considered "hijacking" the thread, if it is I apologize, but I couldn't find a thread that seemed more on topic.

I'm a regular user of shea butter inserts in addition to water based lube. I bought my 2nd Aneros yesterday, Progasm Ice. My 1st was a helix syn. The store clerk recommended a silicone product called Pjur "Analyse Me". Has anyone tried this particular lube? I know not to use it with my syn.

    Thanks

Jup.. PJUR is usually no good.. I know at least one of the contains stuff that decensitizes your rectum.

And it has nothing to do with making your natural lube.. so yes, it`s kinda the wrong thread.
  • Want a lube experiment ? There is a lube that vets use for lubrication when there is a difficulty in the birth of cattle. It is called simply "j lube". It is a white powder that when mixed with water turns into slick slime. I put about a dimes size of it on my finger and apply it in my rectum. Then wet my finger and work it in a little bit. Insert aneros and away we go. I ride a lot in the shower and when I use it like a dildo ( rapidly thrust it in and out) the water only makes it slicker. Don't know what compound it is but I do know that it is not abbrassive and it is truly the slickest stuff on the planet. It will dry out in about an hour but with just three drops of water added and you feel like you are on a slip and slide again.

Wow.. I`ve never heard of this stuff. And they market it for vets and pets... and gay people obiously. I wonder how "clean" this polymer is from toxins. Must be a reason why it has never hit the market branded for sex if it`s so amazing... right?
