MGX or the Progasm
  • I currently own the classic Helix and so far (been a couple of months), no success. I suspect this is due to my idiotic removal of the p-tab as soon as I got it (it was uncomfortable). In general, the helix doesn't feel like it's doing anything even with my contractions (STRONG ones if I want).

When I was a child, I think I had a prostate orgasm from a very large bowel movement, as weird as it sounds. It was an all-around warmth orgasm through my entire bottom region and I never wanted it to end. That being said, I'm thinking that maybe a larger model would get me there (hence the Progasm).

On the other hand, I'm a little intimidated by the size. So I was thinking the MGX could be an alternative. At the same time, I don't know if a smaller model will do anything for me like i suspect a bigger one would.

    (I'm about average height, 5'8)

    Welcome to the forum!

If you removed only the p-tab and left the tail in place, I think that configuration would pivot the tip of the Helix away from the prostate defeating the design. Think of the p-tab and tail as the suspension. Both the MGX and the Progasm have p-tabs that are larger, but more aggressive in my opinion. I really like the MGX, but it does tend to dig in. Search in the archives, there is a lot of information on modifications and model selection.

If the p-tab on the Helix was uncomfortable, you might take a look at the two Syn models. The arms are more flexible and therefore more comfortable. Many have reported that they seem to "disappear". It's not uncommon to collect a few looking for the right fit. Don't worry though, over time you may find yourself rotating through them for the variety of sensations, so they don't go to waste.

i agree, removing the p tab makes it useless, the helix is not able to pivot anymore.

MGX:  the mid-line ridge offers a totally different feel to the prostate when compared to the Helix-classic.  If you are 'long legged' (short waisted) for your height your anal canal may be short enough to make the SGX a better choice than MGX.

Discomfort from the p-tab can be a session-killer for most men.  Until the musculature along your perineum develops it may be a good idea to 'pad' the p-tab with the bulb from a medicine dropper --  see the Wiki regarding this modification. Meanwhile, suggest doing a dozen sets of Kegels each day.   After a couple of months the pad shold be unnecessary.

Consider the Helix-syn.  the "flex tab" on this model is very gentle.  The flexible abutment arm changes the action and balance of the toy so that it's motion involves less pivoting and more longitudinal travel.

I'm a progasm flunkie, hands down (no pun intended.) It was the first unit that I purchased and the only one that I've kept. It got me to the super-o faster and stronger than the helix and classic units that I had purchased afterward. And, like I said, it's the only one that I've kept.

I too am 5'8" so trust me, you won't regret going for the progasm. I haven't removed any of the perineum tabs or k-tabs. They only seem to enhance my pleasure.

Go for the Progasm. Your body will get used to it.

Throw away the helix As soon as you cut the p-tab off you killed it! What a waste of a good model.
Yes the p-tab hurt. If you had stuck with it the pain would have gone away.
It takes a while for the body to get used to these new things in such delicate areas.
The progasm made me sore from the p and the k tabs the first few times not to mention the internal brusing that that bad boy did too. But your body gets used to it.
I love the progasm and the helix classic now. A little pain is fine and expected when you jam something up your bum to begin with!
