Natural Jelly and Vit e proportions

    Hi all
I am trying to find the reference to the suggested proportions of Vitamin E to home made Natural Jelly (?rumel's mix I think). I have not been able to find the post. I am guessing, I think it was 1200 units to 45ml of oil. I want to mix up a new batch and I have lost the reference.
I am using beeswax, sweet almond oil and vit e as a preservative (anti oxidant).
Does it matter if it is more?

The 'Natural Jelly' formula first appeared in the Bestlube... thread. In that same thread member @QuoVadis brought up the possibility of absorbing toxic levels of vitamin E. I addressed that issue in a subsequent post showing the likelihood of vitamin E overdose to be very remote.

If you are going to add vitamin E to your 'Natural Jelly' formula, you may wish to use Vitamin E extracted from natural sources in lieu of synthetically manufactured forms. There has been a study which implicated synthetically derived vitamin E with increased risk for developing prostate cancer. You can of course completely eliminate the vitamin E from the mixture as its properties were essentially to act as a preservative to keep the oil from going rancid. I suspect the bee's wax is just as equally effective as a preservative when blended with the oil on its own.

    Thank you both,

@rumel I think I will just use the beeswax as it seems to do the job and the mix is simplified. Also SAO has a naturally long shelf life. I have the most fantastic local forest organic beeswax, it also has a great smell.

Added note: mixed up 200ml about 6 months supply cost around $8. I use it daily! I cannot express adequately my gratitude for the forum, the fellowship, the advice and the wisdom so graciously given by our senior members

I have not yet mastered the search function.

From my blog entry: which contains the "rest of the world" recipe. (Only the USA nowadays uses the teaspoon/tablespoon/cup measurements when cooking.)

3 Vitamin E capsules (400IU each), pricked and their contents squeezed out
    1.5mL Shea Butter
    5mL Beeswax
    45mL Oil
