no difference
  • can someone tell me how masterbation interferes with the rewiring process because when i don't masterbate or have sex for a good week or more i find that it doesn't make any difference to my aneros sessions and it doesn't make me more aroused?

Please read the Penis, NOT thread by 'Cockadoodle' and 'rook's thread Whole Body/Whole Mind - the mental side & "zoneros" for a little insight.

I'm new to this as well, and I've tried not masturbating for a week twice, but to no arousal. I can say, however, that I'm now trying masturbation without porn. I think I've already developed a mental tool for arousal. Today I can think of something sexy and finally produce an erection without touching myself.

7 days may not be enough to begin the arousal.  Try going 10-14 days.  10 is the key for me.

I'll agree with ineverknew. Try going two weeks and see what happens.

May be you should masturbate and have sex, just don't ejaculate.  Simply doing nothing reduces arousal for me, after about 4 days.

Being aroused is an active mental process.  You have to "think between the lines", and you have to know yourself.  If you are used to receiving all of your sexual stimulation from outside of you (for example from porn, or sexual partners) then it will take some time to alter your approach to build arousal by alternative means.

I think of my aneros as as person who is doing this to me.  I even talk to it - it gives positive feedback to the experience, and helps in the rewiring process.  It means that I am aroused as soon as I think about it.
