I think im getting somewhere but need the experts advice...

    I've been trying
with a fair few aneros products to get somewhere for the past 3 years
and got nothing, nada... no sensations (at least nothing pleasurable)!
however recently i have started some new techniques and something
different is happening, please if those that have mastered it/made it
see if i'm on the right path...

I currently use the SGX as its
the ONLY product aneros make that doesn't cause some degree of
discomfort, i'm smaller than most men my age (31) and think i need a
    smaller device.

What i now do is this: i become acclimatised to
the device and reduce my expectations to zero so i can be totally
relaxed. I then take it in and release, which produces nothing but a
knackering stress on my internal muscles and generally tiring me out
after 30 mins and for the rest of the day. BUT if i take it and clench
the device and hold it for around 30-sec to a minute i start to get
these mini 'micro' movements in the device, in an almost automatic
fashion. Is this just a sphincter muscles contracting or something a
    little more?

I find that this is even more tiring however i feel
something pleasureable.... nothing approaching anything remotely
orgasmic but it nonetheless feels rather nice. If i do this for 90
mintues (holding it for 30 secs-45 secs and then releasing for around
2-3 mins and repeat for the 90 minutes) it begins to get more intense in
terms of the level of these 'micro' movements, if i feel the device
with my hand whilst doing it i can feel it moving slightly, so it almost
feels automatic yet it isn't quite as i have to clench first....  I
also should mention that this would only work when i was lying on my
front with my penis on my stomach/bed and baring down however after
doing this for around 3 sessions or so i can now be in a sitting,
standing, kneeling, fetal etc position and it works, previously i had
tried these positions and it would not work but now it seems to happen
no matter how i am positioned.

When i do release as well, each
time it feels like i can feel the burn of a long run, with the blood
rushing back into certain parts of body but in this instance it rushes
back into the muscles inside maybe? which feels warm and again feels
quite tiring inside there. Though each time i do these sessions the
tiring feeling isnt as strong/or as much...

    What i want to know
is, am i finally getting somewhere? and also is what i am doing safe? i
do not want to damage anything in there. I must also stress that this is
the ONLY thing that works, that feels good or that even approaches
anything that isn't boring or has zero feeling whatsoever.

    inhope,

Welcome to the Aneros Forums, it is a bit unfortunate that you have waited nearly three years to avail yourself of the experiential knowledge of your fellow members but we're glad you're here now. I'll give you my response to your statements though I don't consider myself a master of the Aneros (I'm unsure if anyone is truly a 'master' of these devices).

"What i now do is this: i become acclimatised to the device and reduce my expectations to zero so i can be totally relaxed."
    I think that's a very sound practice.

"I then take it in and release, which produces nothing but a knackering stress on my internal muscles and generally tiring me out after 30 mins and for the rest of the day."
This sounds to me as if you are clenching far too hard, almost choking off your body's ability to respond. Holding a gentle contraction for a long period of time in order to cause muscle fatigue and thus induce involuntary contractions is one technique which has been successfully employed by many men, including myself, to induce dry-O's. I encourage you to re-read the Contraction exercises in the Aneros WIKI & this Exploration paragraph in a @BMayfield post.
"...if i take it and clench the device and hold it for around 30-sec to a minute i start to get these mini 'micro' movements in the device, in an almost automatic fashion. Is this just a sphincter muscles contracting or something a little more?" Those 'micro' movements are the involuntary contractions kicking in. In the initial excitement phase of a session, these sensations are often very subtle but it is important to pay attention to their occurrence, these are the building blocks to increased stimulation and pleasure.
"I find that this is even more tiring however i feel something pleasurable.... nothing approaching anything remotely orgasmic but it nonetheless feels rather nice." Again I think you may be contracting/clenching too hard, you can't squeeze your prostate into orgasmic submission, you need to seduce it with gentle caresses. You may also need to rethink what constitutes an orgasm. A prostate based orgasm generates sensations different from a penile based ejaculatory orgasm. If you are unconsciously expecting your Aneros massager to induce those same sensations you may end up waiting for ever. The basic guideline for Aneros use should be follow the pleasure. It is obvious you are deriving some pleasure now with the technique you are employing, now it is time to start fine tuning that technique.
"...it almost feels automatic yet it isn't quite as i have to clench first...." That's OK if you are initiating the automatic response with a voluntary contraction of your own, this can be a little game with yourself, see how light a contraction will still induce the automatic (involuntary) response. I suspect as you get better at easing up on strength of your contractions the response will be longer and more pleasurable.
"... i can now be in a sitting, standing, kneeling, fetal etc position and it works, previously i had tried these positions and it would not work but now it seems to happen no matter how i am positioned." This is good news, an example of your rewiring expanding your sensual response.
"...each time i do these sessions the tiring feeling isn't as strong/or as much..." This too is good, it indicates your muscles are getting stronger and with more endurance. The body fatigue factor will likely continue to diminish as you learn to use less force with your voluntary contractions. Remember you are not trying to hammer your prostate into submission.
"What i want to know is, am i finally getting somewhere?" IMHO, Yes YES
"...is what i am doing safe?" Again IMHO, Yes YES As long as you are only using you internal muscles to manipulate your massager, it is highly unlikely you could do yourself any damage.

  • i waited for the first post, cause i am getting the same pseudo involuntaries, when holding a slight contraction over a few minutes. when it starts it feels just nice at the beginning but everytime the aneros slides over the prostate the pleasure increases until i feel the need to do a steady contraction. when this happens the subtle sensations are gone and my pelvis starts to quiver, followed by my legs and arms. about 10-20 seconds later the sensation seems to fade and i relax for a few seconds, then start again.

its pretty easy to break the circle by relaxing - so the aneros isnt truly moving on its own?

in my last session the sensations seemed to goad each other until i was in some sort of post orgasmic state, which got followed by another one. there was not a single second which felt best or which could be detected as "this was it".

@rumel: so it is possible to get involuntaries without doing any contraction?

    @hakunamatata,

"so it is possible to get involuntaries without doing any contraction?"YES
Yes. Many men have reported the onset of involuntaries immediately upon insertion of their Aneros massagers. It has happened to me on occasion but usually, for me, I need to hold a low level PC contraction to induce a series of involuntaries. This was not always the case however, in my initial rewiring phase I had to hold a mild contraction for an extended period of time (5+ minutes) before involuntary contractions would kick in due to muscle fatigue. Now it occurs due to the positive pleasure feedback of the muscle massaging action, not due to muscle fatigue. This is what makes even Anerosless sessions pleasurable for me.

  • @hakunamatata Stick with it, I am now at the point where I put lube on my hole then I go to put 5mls of lube up my butt with a syringe and while it is in my butt and I am pushing the lube in the involuntarys start.
I wont lie to you I have put in a lot of work to get to this point.

Once you are able to get the involantries to start and continue for some time. This is when I started to sleep with my aneros. When ever I was awake slightly I would try to get the involantrys started.
Eventually they just start and almost never stop. You will get to a stage that you just think about it and they start or even you notice your butt just doing them while your sitting down.

Why does this happen? For me early on in the game I noticed that my involantaries would always be in time with my heart beat. So when my heart beats my butt moves in a never ending loop. Funny that I guess my heart never stops. My involantries are directly rewired to my pulse.
In saying that early on almost straight away when I started using the aneros I noticed my heart beat, normally you only feel it when after heavy exercise. You know when your heart is pounding.
I feel this all the time now but it is a relaxed beat. If for what ever reason my prostate gets the slightest touch or aroused in the smallest way I can feel my heart pump harder.
It was a bit disconcerting to begin with but I am used to it, I lay in bed at night and always feel thump thump and that just gets louder coz my butt muscles hear/fell my heart beat and It starts to move to.
I must admit it is a lot harder to get to sleep now days.

Others might not agree but for me I am pretty sure that once I got the involataries started enough through holding a contraction in my journey  then sleeping with the aneros cemented the involantries in my muscle memory. I can lay in bed all day and they almost never stop. even if they do they start up again very quickly.
But then maybe thats just me.
Just remember you need to get to that certain point first before you think of trying what I did or there is just  no point. Some say sleeping with it is not a good idea to start with. Who am I to argue.

thanks for the brilliant replies guys especially from rumel, can i just ask a few more  important questions:

Is it a good idea/practise to watch porn/become aroused whilst using the aneros? or does this have a detrimental effect by the prostate somehow moving when gaining an erection? or is it the contrary, does it actually help?

Also how long are your sessions, on average if possible?

OH i should also mention, when i get these micro movements i also get involuntary leg switching as well!

    inhope,

"Is it a good idea/practise to watch porn/become aroused whilst using the aneros?"
I wouldn't put a value judgment of 'good' or 'bad' on the viewing of pornography for the purposes of creating and heightening arousal. However, I will point out a high arousal level is a needed component to reaching the Super-O plateau, (see Are you "Aroused"? & Aneros, Arousal & Abstinence). Personally I found viewing porn during an Anerosession distracting while trying to follow the on screen action (which is mostly faked to begin with). When your attention/focus is diverted away from your body, many of of the subtle sensations being generated by your prostate can be overlooked or ignored, this is to the detriment of your arousal amplification cycle. However, many members regularly employ porn viewing as an integral part of their Anerosessions, If it helps you then use it, if it doesn't really enhance your feelings then don't.

"...does this have a detrimental effect by the prostate somehow moving when gaining an erection? or is it the contrary, does it actually help?" I'm unclear about what you're asking here but I don't think porn viewing has a direct effect (detrimental or beneficial) on the prostate at all, nor do I think it effects one's erection except for the mental arousal porn may generate. Whether it helps or not is an individual determination, for me it does not help during an Anerosession.

"Also how long are your sessions, on average if possible?" It usually takes me about 35-45 minutes to get into a good physically/mentally relaxed zone, then if my body/prostate wants to play, I've already programmed an allotted time amount of an additional 45-60 minutes. Sometimes I use the full allotment pleasing myself, sometimes I don't. Occasionally, if the session is going very nicely, I'll extend it until my body just gradually declines from the pleasure plateau I was on. Everybody is different, so your typical Anerosessions may start and stop quickly, who knows? The important aspect of time is be sure to allow enough so you don't feel pressured by any time constraints. This can eliminate one of the Obstacles to Progress.

"OH i should also mention, when i get these micro movements i also get involuntary leg switching as well!"
Good for you, (I presume you meant 'twitching' instead of switching), Twitching and Large muscle quaking are items on the Milestones list, you're making progress.

"...does this have a detrimental effect by the prostate somehow moving when gaining an erection? or is it the contrary, does it actually help?"

let me clarify: people have stated on various forums, I'm sure it was this one some time ago actually that getting an erection moves the prostate slightly somehow making it more difficult for things to hit the prostate, not sure if this is true.

I also want to ask a health question.... when i now go to the toilet for a number 2, it ALWAYS results in a a degree of discharge, sticky i.e. prostate fluid. This has only happened since using the aneros, this does worry me slightly but i also find it funny as well, i.e. a soft excrete stimulates my prostate more than an aneros device does!, strange no? again people have said this is normal somehow...?

    also @braveneworld

Im kind of worried and confused about what you're saying, what happens when you go roy a number 2? surely your muscles inside must twitch and move like a bat out of hell if just by the act of squirting lube up there!? or what about urinating?? that too must also cause issues? surely!?

    inhope,
    Image Here

About 1/3 of your penis' erectile tissue (corpus cavernosum) is contained inside your body, (see illustration above), part of this structure underlies your prostate. When you get erect (blood fills the corpus cav.) the tissue swells and expands and may account for a small displacement upward of your prostate, bladder & Cowper's gland but this displacement is not significant enough to interfere with your Aneros' ability to effectively massage your prostate. Your internal organs are not rigidly located but are suspended by flexible, elastic ligaments in the somewhat fluid environment of your pelvis. This ability to move easily is necessary for your body to function in its kinesthetic actions without doing self harm.

It is not unusual for some men to occasionally experience a small bit of prostate milking due to a large bowel movement as feces moves through the rectum pressing against the prostate as it passes by. As far as I know this creates no health hazard in itself but a chronic recurrence may be indicative of some other related problem. This may cease of its own accord but if it persists or you experience any pain whatsoever, I suggest you contact your doctor to have this condition evaluated. • Well @inhope you asked  :)) And thanks for the info above @rumel
YES when (waste) moves into the area where the aneros would normally sit, Yes I have a increase in movement. As if the aneros was inserted :)
When the offending article is expelled and the area is empty the muscles go into overtime and I have a anerosless session for some time this is also known as ghosting effects.

I am sure I am not alone. Go on own up you guys!

    Peeing.
I can not pee with the aneros in. I think that is normal for most people.

When I go pee normally my pee is a constant stream BUT it pulses because my pc muscles twitch constantly.

Now you dont have to worry know one would notice any of this but yourself.

All this is very noticeable to me, I am very aware of it but is not disturbing.
The reason for this is I know why I feel this because I have been using the aneros for a while now.

What the aneros does to you is it teaches you to know (feel) what is going on in your body.
Before I started to use it everything just happenend.
Now after using for a long while
I can feel my prostate grow or deflate.
I can feel my pulse in/at my anus.
i can feel the blood pump from my heart down/up my body. Sometimes more intensely than other times.
I can feel every little thing my anus does and all the sensation inside it.
My nipples when stimulated create the same sensations around my balls. If I circle around my nipples i can feel my finger circle around my balls even though they are nowhere near my balls.
And YES I am afraid when waste moves slowly into my anus area ready to goto the toilet I can feel it move in there.
As I type here now I am very aware of my heart beat. I can feel the pressure of the blood in my ears and down at my anus and down to my feet.

Ok looking back at what I have typed, I realise this might scare you But it is the truth I am not exaggerating in any way.

All I can tell you is that it does not worry me. Why? The only way I can explain it is:
Everything that is inside of me or is part of me is CONNECTED to me.
    In agreement so far?
So it stands to reason that if anything moves inside or attached to me moves I might be able to feel it.
    Yes! still with me?
So then this means I have felt all this before since conceptional awarness  when ever that occurs (birth maybe).
So the only difference is that now I am actually aware of the feeling. I am actual able to acknowledge that I can feel them now. Before my body could feel them but it was subconsciously felt in my brain.

I really hope your heads not spinning and you are not cowering in the corner of the room now :)

The aneros is a aerial to the brain, it makes you aware of feeling that were there but you had not acknowledged before.

P.S. I had not taken notice but yes precum is evident after taking a dump some times;) I agree it is normal. You may have not noticed it before or it may not have happened but I bet you just never noticed before. Why? most likely because you pee at the same time usually.

ok thats great! i have after reading those wiki pages noticed that its true when i stand/move around with it in it feels good! I've checked the checklist too and i have a fair few of the beginner ones though it seems to have big gaps missing that i should be experiencing in there, such as a feeling of needing to pee, which i categorically do not experience.

One thing that has always bugged me though is that the swirly bit on the aneros, not the tab but rather the weird bit on the left of it, whats it for? i find it gets in the way a lot, i.e. cannot sit with it or lie down on the bed without it touching the bed etc and can impede the devices movement, is it necessary to keep it on or saw it off perhaps?
I think the swirly bit is a handle. I've seen I few posts by other members who have modded there devices by chopping it off.
  • Ok @inhope and @hywel see this link
its about the eupho tail but in it you will see the picture of my helix on top of my eupho.
The tail is completely removed. It works great still and never touches anything.

I think the swirl is to avoid aggressive movements, since I use the p tab as a handle for insertion and removal, then I'm hands free during a session, I've docked my Syn, left the k tab on the progasm. Some have expressed concern over loosing alignment of the p tab without a handle, it hasn't been a problem for me.

I had another session recently here is my experience, any advice or thoughts from others is appreciated (as it always is!):

I decided to put it in and this time do nothing, literally nothing. I could feel small movements, about a quarter as strong or as obvious as the normal micro movements when I'm contracting properly.

The micro movements when i did move it were a little stronger this time, still no orgasms yet nor any leaking etc but it did require less effort in order to get the device to react/move. Ironically i always get leaking when i have a number 2, no matter the size of the bowel movement, when i bare down to move it out it always results in the same thing, even if i only slightly bare down, if  you get my meaning? even the 'softer' movements do it. Odd.

Anyway back on topic.... with the device in it would feel good, when i watched porn it would cause lots of things to happen in that area, things that felt quite good, a few involuntary movements and feelings again, otherwise without this visual stimulation it was quite boring and nothing much would happen. I realise that arousal is needed but preferably one that does not result in a quick fix to sort out (i.e. masturbation)

I also tried the clenching movement a day later with nothing inside, just in bed before sleep, when i do so i get the same muscle movement i have when i have the SGX/helix/MGX  in there, which is interesting, though it doesn't do much as there isn't anything in there to stimulate anything, but its nice to see that perhaps one day i might have anerosless sessions.

  • i for myself found and still find it difficult to stay aroused the whole session. the first few minutes are arousal through excitement, then it seems to be gone. i cant relax without "music".
this really helped me to relax and concentrate on my anal area, especially the non-erotic tunes. once i feel the aneros stimulating the prostate the arousal can come as fast as it goes when you try to force it (maybe because of expectations and good feelings you already had in a previous session).

i had 4 sessions the last 5 days and i feel like 3 sessions are really enough for a week (still a newbie) so i will have a break for a few days now. since my last one my prostate seems to be more sensitive and i have random (very subtle) sensations down there during the day. i neither know how nor why, but at least i know its not necessarily connected to doing proper pc muscle contrations.

i also get jealous and confused as well when people say "i can feel contact with my prostate" wit a device or whatever... i have never been able to say that, there was even a time i wondered if i even had one because it doesn't feel like anything. The only time of pleasure is when i stand up and walk around with the aneros in, even then its a little random. But most sessions for me consist of anal contractions and no reward, other than exhaustion.

After 3 years i can tell you that frustrated isn't even remotely close.
  • cockadoodles post did help me a lot, it might help you as well.

have you tried to stimulate your prostate with your thumb? i do this every now and then whilst masturbating since im 17 and found it very pleasureable. i did tend to put a lot of preassure on the prostate the first few times, but a soft contact is enough. its like tickling dat source of your arousal and helps you understanding your body. masturbate without porn - concentrate on your feelings and what does feel good, what not, but dont make a hasty judgement.

aneros contact with my prostate is just happening for me when i dont expect it to, i cant control it and its not enough to build great sensations - but its something and enough to stick with it.

yes i have tried the finger method, but feel nothing but soft tissue with nothing behind it, literally no matter how far i go or how little, there is nothing there! i did manage it with an aneros device though which produced some leaking but i assume this is dangerous in some way because this is when the leaking whilst visiting the toilet began, and hasn't stopped.

I just want it to work and i just want to find my prostate, because its doing a good job of hiding pretty well. no guide I've followed has ever worked or been accurate as to their measurements. its ridiculous! perhaps its located somewhere else to everyone on earth? i am a shorter man perhaps its that? but i don't get why i feel nothing.
  • I feel your annoyance, Inhope. Three years is amazing perseverance, I wish all the best for development.

Regarding 'feeling' your prostate, try this:
Have a traditional masturbating orgasm with the Aneros in next time - preferably whilst standing. If you ease into the orgasm, you should feel the Aneros suck in and push against something, creating a somewhat unique feeling and resulting in fluid shooting out. (Followed at some point by cum itself, depending on whether you carry on past that point)

This fluid is pre-cum (sometimes mixed in with cum), and is the result of Aneros pressing against the prostate, and the gland is reacting to and embracing the device. The brief tickling/tingling sensation you should get is the prostate.

Bear in mind this is merely a way to assure that the Aneros is in contact with the prostate gland - actually sensing it, for me, required lots and lots of mental work, trial and error. But here was the turning point, and this was without the Aneros:

I quietly said (whispering is fine) things that aroused me. I also imagined my ass being fingered, and the prostate being gently rubbed back and fourth. I imagined what this would feel like, and how good it felt. Bounced back and fourth between these, and bam - my abdomen tensed like nothing before and from that point I could instinctively feel my prostate through my pelvic region. This isn't the case now, but if I returning to MMO will probably rekindle the feelings.

Hope this assists you in some way! Good luck!!

I should mention that i did try and have tried on MANY occasions with the aneros in, most of the time it stifles the orgasm, i.e. stops it feeling good. When it does feel good though, which is rare, i don't feel it touching it moving against ANYTHING.

This is why i am frustrated, i seem to have a prostate located in a different place to every man on earth! just so you know i have these models:

    MGX, SGX and Helix

Also, the last time i watched some 'stimulating videos' every time i got excited (an erection) i would get the same pulsing/micro-movements as if an aneros device was in there 'reacting', despite there not being one.....

I would also like to share an experience i had a few nights ago and if what people are saying super O's are like then i hope i finally get there as i may have experienced one but not in the usual way. So basically I had a wet dream the other night, everyone gets them from time to time however my wet dreams result in the best, most intense and unearthly orgasms imaginable. I don't know weather its because I'm half asleep or what but the intensity of these things are mind blowing, and always wakes me up, i can still now sort of feel that intensity, but its somehow more intense than is normal, its frightening how powerful it was.

The last one i had was so powerful it almost changed my perception of reality! it was the equivalent of 2-3 amazing orgasms in one!! in terms of pleasure/power, I've not felt that whilst awake. Not ever. I want more of those!! I've had these wet dreams for perhaps 7 years or so but the one a few nights ago was the most intense things I've experienced, a real taste of heaven!

Ive been chasing it ever since my first one, all those years ago.. and if that is what a super O is like then it will be worth it, i just need to know if what I'm doing is right and if all the things I'm experiencing is normal? i see in the guides here things which i experience that arnt listed or even mentioned!?

I also found this posted by someone a while its the EXACT situation I'm in, seems there was no solution for them, this person also felt that this aneros thing is a scam, I'm not saying such a thing however I've experienced more failure than success so there is a part of me that is wondering '...what if it actually is?'

"I wouldn't say I'm completely disappointed by this tool - not at all.
And I can still enjoy my sessions to some degree but over 1 3/4 years I
didn't make much progress at all and this is what bothers me. I feel
like my mind grows with every session and my mental state for having a
session gets better and better but the results which my body returns
    still don't change at all.
It's like I was a whale watcher getting up
at 5AM every day and sailing out to the open sea with better and better
equipment to see the swarm all the other whale watchers are so crazy
about. And while I have learned that revving up my engine and going for
the search on my own is the wrong may it still won't show up even though
I'm just sitting there observing the sea.
    Yesterday's session was a
very good example. I put in my aneros nogasm and managed to get turned
on like hell which is always difficult for me. So I already had this
very pleasant pressure around my prostate right from the start which
seemed very promising. At some point I'll lie on my back (I've tried all
sorts positions but this is the only one I can get some results from),
concentrate on deeply breathing into my belly and just waiting for sth
to happen. Eventually I'll stimulate my nips at some point but other
than that I don't do anything else.
    Usually the well known
involuntaries kick in pretty quickly but I don't find them pleasureable
at all. I'm not even sure if these are the involuntaries you guys all
talk about. It's rather like a tremble in my legs and lower body, not
pleasureable at all, maybe even distracting sometimes.
    Neverthelesee I
can still experience those tiny peaks of pleasure during the first
30-40 minutes of my session like a fish that's hopping out of the water
but those tiny waves will always stay on a very low level and at some
point in time my arousal will subside and that's where I usually end my
    session.

I know what you have taught to everybody:

    1) No
expectations - Well, I don't think I can really expect anything after
hardly getting any results for 1 3/4 years. Of course everybody using
the aneros at least expects sth because otherwise the person wouldn't
use it but I feel like I'm far away from expecting the notorious super-O
or even a dry-O. The only thing I'm looking for is some sort of
progress which lets me know that I'm on the right track. That's not much
    at all.

    2) Don't force anything to happen - That seems to be the
only form of progress I've made. In the beginning of my journey, the
do-nothing technique wouldn't do anything for me and although I've tried
it over and over again, I'd only get some results with appling some
sort of contractions. Nowadays I can get to the same level with the
do-nothing technique and I kinda feels like it's the better way to go
but everything still feels like an engine on standby.

    3) Other
things like deep breathing, being aroused, only having session when
having the need to and the like - I've surely violated these things more
than once in my journey but even if I adhere all the golden aneros
mantras and feel like I've created the best possible rallying ground for
a session I still won't be rewarded with any results."

Ive also just found this, and i think its tot boll**ks if this is how it works, i feel nothing in there, if it was pressed that much against the prostate then it would feel that! surely!!!!? thats insane!

I use the sgx, the mgx and the helix. Im a small statured man. Are these the wrong units I'm using? whist the right one i need? Im quite confused right now.

The description of "itchy pleasure" is a very good one. The itch becomes a tingle. The tingle becomes a feeling of warmth, and then... :) :) :)

    inhope,

It seems pretty obvious to me your level of frustration ("...most sessions for me consist of anal contractions and no reward, other than exhaustion. After 3 years i can tell you that frustrated isn't even remotely close.") is driving you to over-analyze your experiences and you are trying by logical reasoning and force of will to produce progress. You are self discounting your accomplishments ("... i feel something pleasurable.... nothing approaching anything remotely orgasmic but it nonetheless feels rather nice.") This is creating a self defeating programming cycle for yourself of feeling something then discounting it later ("I just want it to work and i just want to find my prostate, because its doing a good job of hiding pretty well. no guide I've followed has ever worked or been accurate as to their measurements. its ridiculous! perhaps its located somewhere else to everyone on earth? i am a shorter man perhaps its that? but i don't get why i feel nothing.") Do you see what you are doing to yourself? You are creating blockages to progress with your own thinking ("I should mention that i did try and have tried on MANY occasions with the aneros in, most of the time it stifles the orgasm, i.e. stops it feeling good. When it does feel good though, which is rare, i don't feel it touching it moving against ANYTHING. This is why i am frustrated, i seem to have a prostate located in a different place to every man on earth!") If Aneros use is causing you to feel so much frustration that you think you are anatomically different from every other man on the face of the earth then it is time for you to take an extended break from your Aneros use. This seems to be where your subconscious mind is steering you.

"...my wet dreams result in the best, most intense and unearthly orgasms imaginable. I don't know weather its because I'm half asleep or what but the intensity of these things are mind blowing, and always wakes me up, i can still now sort of feel that intensity, but its somehow more intense than is normal, its frightening how powerful it was."
If this is the reality you believe in and are enjoying with such intensity then doesn't it make sense to pursue this path to fulfillment? It is pretty obvious the Aneros path is not currently working for you! You've talked yourself into so much self doubt by creating conflicting attitudes that you have come to question the whole Aneros experience as a possible scam ("... I've experienced more failure than success so there is a part of me that is wondering '...what if it actually is?")
I suspect your physical anatomy is substantially the same as your fellow males regardless of your physical stature though I think you should have a thorough exam by a doctor just to verify this. I think the Aneros models you have are fully capable of providing the type of stimulation they are designed to provide and I doubt that any of the other Aneros models are likely to provide a better experience for you.

While you may think other people's reported experiences are total bollocks (this is your choice) you need to understand that each man's journey is a unique path, some of us may successfully employ Aneros massagers during that journey and some of us may find these devices non-helpful. What you believe to be true for you will become your personal reality. If you choose to change your beliefs then your personal reality will also change.

Thanks for the reply some things to think about there for certain, however i must explain a few things so it doesn't appear that I'm some sort of 'negative nancy'

I am actually a positive person, with a positive outlook on life, i followed Mr. Mayfeilds advice/threads to the letter and others as well here for 3 years, i think that any human being after this period would feel a little bit wary as to the devices function. Now i never said it was a scam, and I'm not accusing others of lying or being 'plants' for the company, but as i said after 3 years of confusion and getting nowhere at all, it does form seeds of doubt in the mind.

Those night orgasms i mentioned, i thought those were normal for every man (not the actual act of it happening but rather the orgasms thats experienced which i can tell you are mind-blowing!) its the reason i started with the aneros in the first place, because i thought i had experienced several Super-O's before even knowing what one was. Its something I've recently discovered that i appear to be alone in these intense orgasms that I'm experiencing from 'wet dreams', if this is what a super O is then i am very jealous for those that can have them at will, its so powerful i remember each one I've had, over many years.

As i say again, 3 years on and no progress, again it creates seeds of doubt, even in the most optimistic, positive and open minded people. Please understand that i still have some faith, but it is wearing thin.

The diagram i posted, is this accurate? most diagrams I've seen of the male anatomy seems to show the prostate being MUCH smaller, it confused my perception of whats going on in there and slightly annoyed me that the aneros apparently is in contact with prostate in a big and obvious way yet it feels like its hitting nothing but anal cavity!

This then led me to think about why there are so many models? why not just one, and possibly a smaller one for smaller statured men, if all males are the same/similar? (i appreciate its in the aneros business model to have lots of different devices, to make money -thats cool with me) it does though, to its detriment look as though there is a specific device for a certain kind of person (hence my purchase of the sgx, for the asian market i.e. smaller men, the latter being what i am!)

Do you see what I'm getting at? I will keep trying, I'm a believer but i am just loosing a lot of faith when others make it so much faster, i would just be happy with 1% progress each time but at the moment its nowhere and nothing. But that isn't to say i don't enjoy using the device, i do! and i will continue... i just need more ideas for positions, things that other have tried that worked, anything!!

also @twlltin i get that itch often, and think its something bad? i even once thought it was causing something akin to prostatitus or somesuch! thats very interesting!

i think the aneros needs WAY more instructional use, especially in the packaging. it doesn't state anywhere on the older models about misuse of it, only on these forums it seems to state it! if misused it can cause sever issues such as prostatitus and tearing etc, that to me is a dangerous thing. Needs a warning sticker on there somewhere or something.
  • @inhope well they do have a warning on this website. see here

Put simply they do not recommend its use or misuse.
Here it is, use it or dont, its up to you!

thats cool! though it states it on the website not on the packaging over here in the UK such a thing on any other device would warrant a ban or a repackaging, but its sold over here and it doesn't!

doesn't having the above disclaimer say something to you? to me it sounds like its possible it could cause issues? but either way its not aneros manufacturers fault or responsibility! What other device or product has THAT as a disclaimer? I'm confused by this actually!

I'm a long time user too inhope, maybe just a little longer and haven't hit Super O either. That said I still believe it will one day happen, I've been very very close on occasion. Even the pleasure you do get is progress however. The key I have found is being open and clear minded, if I'm distracted then its a write-off. Hope it works out for you

thanks cj, the thing is the pleasure i feel isn't in that prostate area, its why i feel or am starting to think i don't have one haha! i don't feel a build up or any point of contact with anything in there... am i supposed to? what do i look for exactly?? what am i supposed to feel? it feels like its not doing anything other than these little micro movemnts which feel nice in tems of anal pleasure but not of prostate contact.

I can't seem to make even  a little progress, and thats my frustration now
  • @inhope If you get in a car, Is it the car manufactures fault if you crash it? Do they recommend it is good for u and will not harm u? Same thing really. life is a risk life always bring the risk of death.
America where`aneros is made has laws where you can suw for anything and any reason. It is little wonder that the disclaim for any and every reason.

@inhope this might be a very radical idea but, you might find visiting a therapist for a professional prostate massage helpful. At least then you'll know what kind of sensations etc you're aiming for/what you should be feeling etc, with someone who knows what they're doing.

I guess sometimes using these aneros things can be like taking a shot in the dark. Just an idea...

hywel - that sounds a good idea.

I have read some of your posts inhope, and I know that you think you are a positive person.  Actually if I may, I would like to reclassify you as DRIVEN rather than positive, I say this for a variety of reasons, but perhaps the biggest is that you appear to think you can get a super-orgasm, especially if you follow the instructions "to the letter", and that simply wanting it, is enough.  Your ego is acting against your progress.

Rumel mentioned this is a personal journey - one person's "instructions" cannot therefore be relied upon to give you your own personal pathway.  It is actually about listening to your body - something that you don't appear to have done, because you have dismissed the sensations you have had, as not good enough, or at worst irrelevant.  It is precisely these sensations that you need to focus on and enjoy, no matter how small.  You cannot expect them to grow and develop into a super-O unless you do this. These sensations are the first glimmering of the gifts that the aneros can bestow.  Dismissing them almost feels like an arrogance - hence "driven" rather than "positive".  Actually upon reflection you attitude seems quite negative.

This is not like setting your sights on a new expensive car and saying I am going to get one of them, by hook or by crook.  It is almost the antithesis of this, which is why many successful aneros users find it a sometimes spiritual experience.

That being said, I wish you all the best in your personal journey, but an attitude change will be essential for any success.

@ Linum you may be right in some areas but there is one thing that everyone seems to forget even though its been mentioned and its why I'm starting to NOT be a positive person, at least not where the aneros is concerned.

What i refer to is 'dismissing the sensations i have felt' -no i have not, not at all. The sensations i feel are ok, nothing to rave about and i realise its a progression FROM there but the problem is since getting to this level, there has been no increase in them or change in them since having them, which let me tell you is a LONG time.. In actual fact it is exhausting, i felt knakered after each session down there using it, when i tense the muscles for a long while and feel the blood rush back into them its not really that pleasant and i feel tired for the rest of the day after just a 45 mins session!

It makes life difficult when all i get is exhaustion (not not from trying too hard, just using it normally, not over exertion, believe me!)

THAT is my frustration, the fact that a normal session of sex is massively less exhaustive that using one of these makes me, i cant figure out why it takes all my energy, but it does! i know there are others here that feel the same way and have the same thing happen too, there is one guy here trying for six [six!!!] years and not getting anywhere! The most positive of people could not remain positive or have faith in these things for such a lengthly time without even 1% success? I'm getting weary after just 3!

@inhope. I have bought the Aneros Syn some 3 months ago. I guess since then I have had some 10 sessions with the SYN. After having read quite a few comments here I got started. Relax, contractions etc. It was nice but nothing special I thought. And as you say especially using contractions is a bit exhausting.

Then through xtube I got across a video by myvidfun using the aneros. I asked him for some advice because I liked the way he enjoyes the syn in the video (45 minutes very quiet, and no spastic movements). Since then I do hardly use contractions anymore to enjoy the SYN. Because that is I believe the real secret. Relax en concentrate on every small bit that you feel down there. The slightest movement, tingling etc. I do not think I have experienced a super-o. But I really do enjoy the sessions now much more. Sometimes for 2 hours, like meditation. If your concentration goes away and you feel less horny, you can watch porn on the internet. I find it really amazing how the SYN works in that situation (without doing much myself).

Since using the syn I have another nice experience in that I am even during day time much more thinking about my prostate. When I relax and breath in that part of my body I get a hard on, can feel my prostate moving and working.... without the syn inside... a nice side effect. A bit tantric in a way.

I find my sessions very relaxing, even when they have been very dynamic.  Rumel's idea of erotic meditation fits well with how I feel about it, and I come out of the session more energetic, focussed, and with a sense of fulfilment.  Even dud sessions (they do happen) are relaxing because of the meditation element.

I have learnt not to expect or even hope (inhope) for anything, and be happy with wherever the experience takes me.  Bizarrely enough, by taking this approach my experiences have become more heightened as I focussed on the sensations - it is as if my cognition of them ultimately makes me more sensitive to them - the sensations may not be any stronger, but stronger is how I now perceive them.

It has taken me about 3 years to get to this point.  About a year and a half in, I realised I'd been having dry orgasms for some time, so it isn't even that one isn't having them, just that we don't always perceive them as such.
  • I agree @Linum I feel it is like meditation too. On the weekend my wife went to sleep on the couch in the afternoon and I went to the bedroom and although I could of slept I had a session with helix.
I felt refreshed after 3 hours. I do not force contractions I just lay there and the contractions come to me by themselves and pritty soon there is a magical land of pleasure down there.
I would have to say that over all I am disappointed so far with the term (super O) but I still let go and expect nothing and the pleasure starts to flow. A good session is intoxicating and I long for those sessions and as time goes by, on the whole it just keeps getting better slowly.
@inhope I dont know why you feel nothing maybe you are just trying to hard. It must be infuriating listening to everyone else with no success yourself.
Maybe its like driving a truck some people can just do it, other just cant no matter how hard they try.
It took me a long time to get anyware but I had nothing better to do at the time and after getting just a little sucsess I built on that by "doing nothing". It was a very hard concept to grasp but none the less it was the key!

@inhope Start listening to your body and not to the piece of plastic you have shoved up your butt. Your prostate is at the core of all of this but your toes, nipples, belly button, or whatever does it for you, are just as important. In fact it's more to do with the chemical reactions going on in your noodle than the walnut of delight up your ass. Endorphin and adrenaline rushes etc. Don't quote me on that though.

There are many other sensual joys in life to experience. Perhaps you might like to take a break from your aneros for a while and really get into those.

    @inhope, your words
<< i felt knakered after each session down there using it, when i tense the muscles for a long while and feel the blood rush back into them its not really that pleasant and i feel tired for the rest of the day after just a 45 mins session!>>
It may not be over helpful but I spend most of my session time trying not to tense my muscles, just as it is beginning to feel it might be going somewhere I notice it is blocked by some automatic response muscular tightening. Perhaps you are forcing the issue as you say "I tense the muscles for a long while...." Yep for some this seems to work but of others it seems to be necessary to back off.
All this said, have been using A for 13 months. Nothing great but I go back for more. I feel if I could really surrender it would go really good. I believe I am letting go more and more.

@isvara I left out some info there, thats my fault let me clarify: yes tensing/muscle strain and blood rushing back isn't pleasant but the micro movements and other feelings are! its just I've got to put some effort in to feel anything at all, i would be willing to take my time etc normally but its been 3 years and no progress, my body seems more impatient than me!

I have also found my muscles are twitching throughout normal daily business, which is somehow nice too (with no aneros present)
  • I have found something that has taken my journey to another level, it's called "Holosync, Awakening Prologue" a form of meditation/recording using binaural beats hidden behind the sounds of gentle rain with some chimes. The nice part is it doesn't require any concentration or focus, just put on your headphones or ear buds and listen...amazing is an understatement, I thought I was getting good at relaxing and letting go, but this has taken me to another world. I start to have POWERFUL orgasms within minutes of listening, and they just keep on coming; I can feel my Helix, Tempo or Eupho like never before, it's like the sensations are magnified and I'm super sensitive. It truly is incredible! I'm even able to have orgasms only by lightly touching my nipples or placing my index finger at the base of my penis (belly side) and still feel the anal/prostate sensations. It's like stacking orgasms.

I've read a number of posts from users who are having trouble feeling the joy, and it may be that your just trying to hard; this program will get you REALLY relaxed and in tune with your body. I thought I was getting good at the "do nothing" approach but this program showed me how much tension I was holding, now I'm truly relaxing and what a difference! If you're looking to SUPERCHARGE your Aneros sessions, this might be the answer. The program has a number of other positive uses, but the Aneros benefits were worth the price of admission.

The program comes from a company called Centerpointe Research and is pricey, but you can find used copies on Amazon or eBay.

@Bobandy - Interesting! I wonder how this compares to the other binaural beat recordings that other users here have been using?
  • @braveneworld Thanks for the info, actually I have listened to all the recordings(my favorite being "La Petite Mort") and this is what got me interested in the binaural sounds.
