I'm trying to view the two recommended videos by Dr. Joy Davidson discussing "Ways for Men to Have Multiple Orgasms" Part 1 & Part 2. Unfortunately when I try to listen to the two videos on my Windows 7 computer I get the following error message. "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file." Any ideas on how I might correct this? Thanks in advance for any and all help provided.

Hi RT,
I believe this is the codec for media streaming from Microsoft Media Server (MMSH). I've had similar WMP issues with other codecs. I bat about 50% on finding something from Microsoft that will download and work. Compatibility is dependent on the exact version of Windows, the version of WMP and all the correct updates. sometimes the latest update will break the driver. Failure usually leads me to some bandit site that will sell a homebrew codec for a few bucks -- big virus hazard (I'm the paranoid guy.)

You might consider pulling out an old machine (PIII or better) and loading it with Ubuntu, then get an MMSH driver.

Here's a post regarding MMSH:

Re: Ubuntu 9.04 "No Plugin Found" MMSH Protocol Source
Hi.
I had the same problem trying to view webcasts. No plugins found, MMSH protocol source.
But then I installed "GStreamer plugins for mms, wavpack, quicktime, musepack" from add/remove programs. And then webpages with webcast worked fine...*
Regards Geir.

While you're at it load up Chrome as a browser and enjoy!

RogerT,

I'm not that tech knowledgeable about what software is required, etc, but I am using Firefox 3.6.10 as my browser on a MS 'Vista' operating system on a PC - Since the browser has the necessary codecs to play these files, you might try entering the following address directly into the browser address and see if that works (add a colon immediately after "http"), it does play through my browser without having to use MS Media Player -
http//vidarchives.ifriends.net:8080/LoveAndHealth/JoySpotVideos/male_multi_orgasm_pt1/joyspot_male_multi_orgasm_pt1_DSL-Cable.wmv , otherwise this video is available on YouTube (included herewith)->>>

Unfortunately, Part 2 is not available on YouTube, but here is the full web address you can try to input (add a colon immediately after "http") -

• download cccp player
its an old player which got modified by a community project. they included all standard codecs and you wont have to update your player every week like vlc or wmp. the codecs you install can also be used by the other media players, if you want one with a more modern design.
