SGX and MGX modifications

I get asked from time to time what modifications have I made to accommodate the Aneros.   I have reshaped the P Tab to reflect the P Tab on the later models. The tail is cropped.  I have no trouble sleeping with them, all tucked away nicely.  I am only a beginner but I have found the modified P Tab quite different and very stimulating. Of course it could all be in the mind.  You might well say "doesn't he have anything better to do!"
The centre picture is a Helix with the standard tail (edit: correction, should read "with the standard P Tab")
I hope the photo attaches okay

  • @isvara when you say you have reshaped the p-tab ,what have you done? Have you made the circle bigger or have you made them into a ball and the photo just does not do it justice?
Um the helix in the center defiantly has a modified tail or is there just a photo missing?
Nice job with the tails they look great!
Thanks for the photos not many people make the effort :D
Always good to see other ideas.

    A rebellious Helix! ;)
  • @twlltin Ok ! bloody spell checker it should be "Um the helix in the center Definitely has a modified tail or is there just a photo missing?"
But the sentence still made sense by some weird coincidence. It is being rebellious. :-))

    Very funny :P

Oops sorry, I got it mixed up. They all have modified tails. It is the Helix P tab that is standard.

The modified P tabs are flat like the Helix. I am not ready to make balled P tabs. It is a good idea but it may be fatal for the Aneros.

To reshape I put a helix P Tab template on the huge SGX MGX P Tabs and ground away the excess acetal on the tab and the arm.

Putting a ball-type P-tab on the Helix would make it like the Syn.  I don't think it would be a problem, but would make it more comfortable.

I have a repaired MGX, so I may experiment. It means welding a tail off-cut each side of the tab, then sanding it into a ball. This would keep the integrity of the material. Melt point temp and weld point temp I suspect are very close. I may do it to celebrate the transition to Stage 2 - hopefully soon.

One of the best mods I made to my Aneros massagers is not a mod at all really.  I took a piece of rubber tubing 1/2 inch in diameter, and 1 1/4 inches long, and cut a slit in it the length of the tab.  You will need to cut along the length of the tube and bevel the ends (if you like).  I used a dremel to open up the slit into a elongated pocket, insert the tab, rock the tube to the right angle and then insert the massager.  The nice thing about the tube is that it hits more of the perineum, distributes more of the pressure point of the tab, but still makes for a hard pivot point as well.  Very comfortable for long term use, plus it can be moved from massager to massager.  I don't need to use it on my SYN.
