starting to experience doubt

I'm starting to experience doubt about ever being able to achieve the superO. When I first started, I was extremely skeptical that the superO was real, and all the talk was all fake. Now I think its real, but very few people can achieve it. I mean I'm still a newbie and have read all the reports that people say it can take months. But I'm starting to think with all the information that there is available now....the days of it taking months are over for anyone doing their research. If you have done everything correctly and have not experienced anything within a month or so....you are not capable of it. And probably most users are not capable of it. I wonder what % of people use the device for a few months then give up. You know the economic terms 1% and 99% that are so popular now. Where the 1% just say everybody can be the 1% even though that's not mathematically possible (sounds yogi Berra like).

Doubt is a dangerous thing because it will destroy my desire to continue putting forth the effort if I don't believe there is any possibility of success. The reason all this doubt is creeping up on me is that I think I've already done all that I can try. There are no more changes to make and you should never expect different results from doing the same thing over and over.

    My Helix sessions experience:

    Slightly pleasurable overall.
    Light leaking.
minor muscle twitches and leg shakes...but no added pleasure.
pleasure increases if I get an erection, but dissipates quickly.

that's about it. I guess I've never had a P-wave let alone an "O". then after 60-90 min I just masturbate and this is far more pleasurable than anything I've experienced so far.

Again, I can't think of anything to do differently. I can't get more aroused or relaxed. I think I've awakened my prostate enough, since I can get a tingling sensation in my prostate just working at my desk. Funny, using the device is really no better than that.

I guess I'm looking for a way to overcome the doubt.. some sense of hope. Giving up would mean I would just use the device for the super T, and nothing else. IDK...what do you guys think.

I've been trying on and off for a few years now. I don't think I've achieved a Super O but I HAVE had 5-10 experiences of various kinds that showed me this CAN be very real.

If I ever get further and "go over the edge" remains to be seen.

    NewU7,

[QUOTE=NewU7;47741]I'm starting to experience doubt about ever being able to achieve the superO. While I can't link you to the user poll which showed that nearly 25% of Aneros users took longer than one year to reach a Super-O and we will probably never have statistics about the percentage of men who try the device a few times and then give up, I sincerely believe the percentage of men who continue to use this device and subsequently achieve Super-O's is far greater than 1%. I do agree with you that it is unrealistic to expect a 100% success ratio, there are just too many factors which will make the Super-O problematic for many men. In any event, despite whatever the statistics are, it still becomes a unique personal journey for each individual. Your position in the statistical data base can only be determined by embarking on the journey and continuing the cruise. "I do not think that there is any other quality so essential to success of any kind as the quality of perseverance. It overcomes almost everything, even nature." - John D. RockefellerDoubt is a dangerous thing because it will destroy my desire to continue putting forth the effort if I don't believe there is any possibility of success. The reason all this doubt is creeping up on me is that I think I've already done all that I can try. There are no more changes to make and you should never expect different results from doing the same thing over and over. This sentiment has been expressed by numerous users over the years so don't think you are the first man to voice that feeling. There is a unique paradox involved with a man's Aneros journey, despite reading and learning about every possible technique and attempting to follow them correctly (a dubious term at best), the fact remains you can not will or coerse your body into producing a Super-O, you need to allow it to occur. "Patience and perseverance have a magical effect before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish." - John Quincy Adams "Through perseverance many people win success out of what seemed destined to be certain failure." - Benjamin Disraeli

You said My Helix sessions experience: Slightly pleasurable overall... pleasure increases if I get an erection,... and then immediately discredited your own feelings by saying I guess I've never had a P-wave let alone an "O".Any pleasurable sensations received are P-waves, allow yourself to enjoy them no matter how slight they may seem, you may be surprised how they can morph in intensity....after 60-90 min I just masturbate and this is far more pleasurable than anything I've experienced so far. This is a common condition for newbies because you haven't really begun to disassociate orgasmic feelings from traditional penile stimulation and the thoroughly conditioned reponse patterns which exist in your mind. I can't get more aroused or relaxed.Really, how do you know this? Could you be limiting yourself here? I suspect you have much yet to explore.I think I've awakened my prostate enough, since I can get a tingling sensation in my prostate just working at my desk. Funny, using the device is really no better than that. How much is "...enough..."? Awakening your prostate is only the beginning of the rewiring process, this is an evolving continuing journey of learning, I've been on this journey for five years now and I am continuing to experience new feelings, sequences of subtle sensations, all leading to pleasurable Anerosessions. I don't believe one can simply read and memorize all the information contained in this forum and expect to be successful in his practice. It is only through the process of integrating this information through the filter of your own experiences that the rewiring emerges to manifest a new reality for you.

If you believe you can never experience a Super-O, you are correct. If you believe you can experience a Super-O, you are correct as well. As I've said many times in this Forum, I believe the Aneros journey is more than 90% a mental journey which requires a leap of faith, a suspension of judgment and the ability to just " Let Go ! " to allow your body to generate this phenomena for your pleasure and enjoyment, just "Go with the Flow ! ".image

You can NOT rationally think your way into inducing a Super-O to occur. The best you can do is optimize the physical and psychological environment necessary to allow this phenomenon to occur. Being lovingly patient with yourself may be necessary and, as the I Ching says "...perseverance furthers..."

I hope you hear and listen to Rumel's message. The rewards are so worth the patience. It was months before I got a whole lot of response to Aneros, but once it started it increased each session. Just this morning I woke up and started to do the Mangina thing. I suffer from ED so getting an erection isn't a problem for this practice. I soon was having Super Os one after the other, and that without any Aneros in. I find that once wired the prostate just takes over with little stimulation. I finally had to stop because duty called, but even when I sat in meditation the waves continued. I was turned on all morning. I discovered Aneros a couple of years ago, and it has been a blessing for me with the ED problem.

I'm relatively new to this, but I have found this thread very helpful:

    http://www.aneros.com/forum/showthread.php?12116-Quick-and-Dirty-Path-to-the-Super-O

So far I've experienced what you guys call P-Waves I believe... But the deal is I don't go in expecting anything, I just sort of use the info here as a loose guideline, at that point its like turning down a street I've never been down before. I have no real goal in mind other than just to see what's there. It's just kind of an experience to see if there are more things to experience.

This was pretty much how I saw my progress too - What Wasn't Happening versus What Should be Happening.
Why isn't such-and-such occurring after the research? Why won't this happen despite being relaxed and focusing? Why are unusual occurrences getting in the way? It'd make the Aneros seem pointless effort and I'd ditch it for a few months now and then.

There were a few turning points as of recent: Number one was to just embrace the overpowering sensations and not break focus or concentration. Focusing on porno without twitching the PC muscles (which control the erection) or breaking eye-contact was a big help and encouraged p-waves. Eye on the ball.

Number two was a member, I believe Rumel, who said 90% of the journey is mental. Before I believed following the advice on the wiki (It is very helpful though) would literally walk me to a Super-O, or at least getting something proper out of the Aneros. Nope! It's actually more what you're thinking (or focusing on, that keyword) that operates what you get out of from pleasure waves.

And then No.3 was...doing nothing during a session. That technique strangely kicked in out of no where and I have a hunch it always WAS 'working' - it's just I never picked up on it. I just laid there and treat it like a typical siesta. The important thing here was the sensations the Aneros was giving off (Shortness of breath, something 'stirring' pleasurably) in comparison to what I wasn't feeling outside of the sessions - not so much in anus feeling stuffed, but more around other places like the abdomen, pelvic and such.

Tip: Try staring at something in your room whilst laying there. Give it a bit of time and the Aneros may start to hit you with some sensations. Just 'ignore' these and focus on staring at the object. The more you ignore the sensations the more they will build. And ignore the erection too, of course.

NEWU7...in harmony with all of the other advice here, I would just like to reiterate that the aneros journey is all about the HEAD...not the one between your legs but the one on your neck. It really does involve developing a level of internal trust and communication with your WHOLE BODY, unlike anything that we as men have learned with regard to our sexuality. The best way (my opinion) to have a super-o is to not think about it. It's like, you really have to let go and allow your body to decide the course it wants to take (to get to the super o.) If you attempt to "drive" it yourself, it makes it difficult for the whole rewiring process to occur and you experience "super o delays" due to stalled reprogramming.

For me, I allow 45-60 minutes of quiet, uninterrupted time, for an aneros session. Sometimes, I'll have a glass of wine to help me settle in. I always have some new age music in the background to guide my mental journey. I insert my progasm, lay on my stomach, and close my eyes. I begin to paint a picture of what relaxation (not sexuality) means to me at that moment. It takes about 5-15 minutes for my body to settle in and from there the p-waves, body contractions, and eventually the super o occurs. Be patient and just let it flow. Don't resist and don't think about it. You'll get there.

One other thing, this is just personal preference. I am a huge fan of the progasm. It was the first aneros i'd ever purchased. I did purchase the maximus and MDX, but nothing works for me like the progasm. I do occassionally, (maybe once a year) use the mdx as a warm-up to my progasm. Otherwise, it's strictly the progasm. Consider investing in that unit and see how things go.

Here's a bit of encouragement from a different direction. I've been at this for a bit over five years now, and still no super-O. So why do I keep at it? Because, I've made slow but steady and noticalbe progress, the non-orgasmic pleasure I get from it is very, very nice and alluring, and I've experienced two very short dry mini-O's that tells me there is something much more to be had here if I keep at it.

There is lots of good advice in all the response to your post.

After all this time of me practicing Aneros, I'm much of the same mind as SOLOSTAR. It is all in our heads. If I had to guess what is keeping me from achieving super-O's, I'd say difficulty relaxing, and also not very good at believing that I can create what I desire and want in my life just through positive belief, intentions, and affirmations.

Part of what has helped me personally make good progress has been ejaculation abstinence. Not completely obviously, but not ejaculating everyday. Such that ejaculating is now more like a once every one to two weeks for me. And the other part has daily practice when I can and my anus and prostate allows in terms of not being too sore or hurting for some reason.

Keep at it! You will get some results that will start to convince yourself that this is indeed possible.
