Finally purchased the Helix
  • My first post was almost 2 years ago and I finally got around to making the purchase. I was always hesitant to bring up the subject of the prostate massager with the wife but she was cool with it.

My first solo session was a bit uneventful. Went through the excercise of rinsing out with a bulb syrnge. Bit of a hassle but worth it when you consider what comes out during the cleaning. Did not have a problem getting the helix in but not sure how far the device is supposed to go. Does it go the entire 4 inches?

I will try again this weekend.

It goes in only as far as the neck in the main "blob". It doesn't go in all the way to the handle/tab. It will naturally sit where it's supposed to once the head is in, even if you haven't pushed it in that far.

Have fun and good luck! I'm sure you're aware that getting it to produce an effect can take much time and practice. It is worth it.

This is definitely the key, just relaxing, taking it slow, and learning. The rewards are well worth the wait.

I agree. I've been using for about 4 months and I'm still getting a ton of new things happening with each session. Good luck :)

It's not uncommon for the first good number of sessions, maybe even for months, to feel "uneventful". But for most, eventually the sensitivity of the nerves overlying the back of your prostate that the Aneros stimulates will "awaken" and you'll feel fascinating sensations that can over time become even more intense feeling than traditional orgasm and ejaculation. It was at that point I noticed it made a real difference in my erectile performance and pleasure with traditional orgasm during sex with my wife. Hope you have lots of success with it.

I just got a helix as well. So are you saying if I inset to the p tab and handle I've inserted too far? could that affect results of the helix and what it is supposed to do?

If the arms of the Helix are touching your skin at the base of the "blob" when you're relaxed, you've pushed it in too far. Let it find its own level. This image from the HIH website, showing the MGX should give you an idea of how things work.

(I could have sworn there used to be an image showing the Helix in position.)

    Newtohelix,

This image accurately depicts the proper insertion location of your Aneros massager. The tip of the Aneros (while inside the rectum) pushes against the prostate gland. The walls of the rectum are very flexible and elastic, they will easily stretch to accommodate the shape of the Aneros. When the anal sphincter muscles are contracted, the Aneros with its P-tab arm is pushed up into the prostate and thus massages it. The P-tab also acts as an anchor/fulcrum/pivot point. When the contraction takes place the Aneros will rotate slightly about the center point of the P-tab thus pushing the tip of the Aneros forward into the prostate for added massage action. With both the Helix & Eupho models it is not necessary (nor really practical) to attempt to insert all the way to the "T" junction.

Upon insertion of your Anerosimage the proper orientation occurs automatically and naturally. The Aneros are already designed with a forward canted shape to be directed at the prostate, the P-tab assures correct orientation and alignment. Pinpoint accuracy of prostate engagement is NOT necessary. It does NOT require much force or pressure to stimulate the prostate sufficiently to generate the P-Wave phenomenon. As you become more experienced with your massager you will find it requires less and less pressure to generate P-waves, to the point you will be able to generate them without the Aneros present at all.
