Experience of a disappointed new user *Sad Panda Face*
  • I'm a new user who had a bad experience with this product, and I'm utterly disappointed. Let me just say my interest in this "prostate" stuff began when I read some internet hype years ago about how not enjoying the prostate was like "...having a ferrari and not driving it." Curious, and open to any source of potential interesting new sensations, I tried massaging with my fingers off and on over the course of a few years. I experienced some interesting sensations, sometimes causing fair amounts of precum to ooze out, and otherwise causing involuntary urination on a few other occasions. There was definitely something unique, but having to stretch my arm and reach with my hand produces strain and discomfort that builds up and put a stop to any further exploration. The logical thing to conclude was that a method of hands free stimulation was just what I needed to enable me to take this adventure to new heights.

So, okay; I then decided to try out the aneros to see what all the hype was about. I got the mgx model and it did absolutely nothing, other than making me sore, both inside and outside. Soreness was the only eventual result from using it on it's own through sphincter contraction. By manually moving it a little bit, I was able to get a bit of stimulation and create an irritating sensation of urinary urgency despite having an empty bladder. I followed instructions and applied, and reapplied gratuitous amounts of lube, so it's not that there wasn't enough lube for the massage action function properly. The internal massage was so slight, it was barely even noticeable; however, the perineal tab pinched down exceedingly sharply with each anal contraction, and actually caused quite a bit of pain and discomfort.

Anyway, I can't help but feel cheated by this product. Somewhere someone must be laughing, "Hahaha. Sucker! You fell for the internet hype machine. Now I gotcha monies $$$!" Maybe it's a valid medical tool for old men with enlarged prostates that need to be drained of fluid, but as an erotic implement for men in general, the way it was marketed, it seems to be sorely lacking. I had only the slightest expectations for this product, expecting it to produce 'different', and maybe at least mildly pleasant or 'interesting' sensations, while "milking" the prostate and causing the release of a bit of precum. It couldn't even manage so much as that, and it let me down. What's the point erotically if it produces less sensation than manual finger stimulation while causing even worse discomfort with the irksome perineal tab?

    Hi anerosuserx,

Welcome to the Aneros Forums, your best source of information for learning about the multiple benefits and joys of using the Aneros prostate massagers. It is a regrettable fact of life that not all men have immediate success with their Aneros massagers, Why this is so has been discussed in many other threads and there are multiple reasons/causes for this lack of success. Understandably, reading the "hype" generated by other retailers builds expectations in the minds of potential buyers, sometimes to mythical proportions. I am glad you have joined this community to find the real truth surrounding the use these wonderful little devices. As you have already discovered the Aneros is not an instant
Plug'n'Play pleasure device. [QUOTE=anerosuserx;99182]I got the mgx model and it did absolutely nothing, other than making me sore, both inside and outside. The internal massage was so slight, it was barely even noticeable; however, the perineal tab pinched down exceedingly sharply with each anal contraction, and actually caused quite a bit of pain and discomfort. Many users have reported initial discomfort with the P-Tab pressure but for most this usually abates with increased experience as your musculature firms up and you become inurred to the pressure. If you had read the Softening the P-tab in the Aneros WIKI, you would have found some simple methods to alleviate this situation. You are quite correct about the massage being "slight", it is this gentle massage action which encourages the gradual buildup of sensations in a very safe manner.Anyway, I can't help but feel cheated by this product...Maybe it's a valid medical tool for old men with enlarged prostates that need to be drained of fluid, but as an erotic implement for men in general, the way it was marketed, it seems to be sorely lacking. If you read any of the user Testimonials or posts from the Sticky: My First Super Orgasm... I'm sure you'll realize these men feel there is very litlle lacking in their experience nor do they feel the least bit cheated. What most frequently goes unreported in the advertising "hype" is the learning curve of time often taken to experience significant results.I had only the slightest expectations for this product, expecting it to produce 'different', and maybe at least mildly pleasant or 'interesting' sensations, while "milking" the prostate and causing the release of a bit of precum. It couldn't even manage so much as that, and it let me down. If you are not amenable to those conditions of use then the Aneros is probably not the device for you and this community is not likely to be of any help to you. However, if you are open to this new experience and are willing to drop all expectations and just patiently experiment and listen to your body, a dramatic sensual awakening may be in store for you.

    Hello, anerosuserx.

Sorry to hear you haven't had any success with Aneros. My first 3 sessions were total duds; not even the "need to pee" feeling. At that point, I thought the whole thing might be a scam. So, before I gave up, I came to this site and read the Wiki, which is linked at the top of this page. Based on the advice in that, I persevered and had great success less than 2 weeks later. I think the reason there's a 90-day money-back guarantee on the MGX is because most men have positive results within that period. On the other hand, some guys have reported only weak results after over a year of trying.

The fact is, some men may not be amenable to this type of device, period. In a way, it's sort of analogous to the problem many women have trying to get sensations from their G-spot. Some women never manage to get anything and rely entirely on clitoral stimulation for orgasms the way most men rely on their penises.

If you decide to continue with Aneros, you're well advised by rumel's information.

    Sincerely,

    Dave

    anerosuserx,

Like you, I felt ready to give up after the first couple of uses. I am glad I didn't.
It sounds to me that you might be trying too hard, especially since you are having pain.
During the first few sessions, you have to let your body get used to the new sensations. Almost everybody gets discouraged during this phase.
What gave me the breakthrough was what is called a "do nothing" session. You put the aneros in and just lie in bed for an hour or two relaxing. Maybe give a gentle contraction every now and then, but don't let it concern you much. Instead, just relax and observe the new feelings inside. After some of these sessions, you may find yourself contracting without thought. Follow those feelings and let them be your guide. Relaxation is the key.

I have found that the tab can hurt if it's not in "the sweet spot." Try adjusting it just a little to the left or right and see if that helps.
Also, I found that removing the curly part of the handle from the device greatly eased discomfort I felt inside early on. This is because I lie on my back during the sessions.
    Check out this link: https://www.aneros.com/forum/f6/*how-much-handle-tail-did-you-cut-off-pics-11917/
Mine is about halfway between C and D. This adjustment also makes it a little easier to move the tab while it's inserted. Think about it, though, because you can't put it back once it's gone!

Rumel's advice is good. You definitely should read some of the tales in the "My First Super Orgasm" folder. There are a lot of folks who were on the verge of giving up. Everybody wants to share how they got past their block. Hope you can post there soon.
  • I can understand the feeling of disappointment you have when you have not achieved the sensations so many on this forum have mentioned. Rumel has given me great advice as I was just starting so listen to him. It is very easy to give up, I know because I almost have on a number of occasions but due to encouragement from others here I have kept on. Have I had a Super O? No, not yet but I have come closer and closer and now can have two or three medi-Os and enjoy the hell out of them. Eventually, my day will happen and I will be happy that I stayed the course. I cannot speak for anyone else here but myself. I am glad I have listened and kept trying. I hope you do too. Getting There
  • Anerosuserx: DON'T give up ! research the forum and wiki and be patient...
Mine just arrived in the mail this morning. After preparing the props, I took a warm shower and cleaned up then watched some porn on the computer to get in the right frame of mind. I lubed and inserted and tried a few positions settling on my back with my knees up and spread and feet on the bed. I concentrated on the breathing while practicing some contractions. Not much happened....About a half hour into this, I was so focused on relaxing and breathing that I drifted off to sleep. I immediately began to have a really amazing erotic dream and was startled awake about a half hour later by an incredible feeling. Being new to this today, I cannot begin to explain it of define it as a wave or an O, but it was great ! When fully awake this wonderful sensation ceased and I noticed immediately that apparently my cowpers gland had been overactive while asleep! I had leaked more precum onto my stomach than I ever had experience while awake ! I cannot wait to do some more experimenting in a couple of days.

Any of you pros able to explain to me what might have happened ?

During sleep your breathing is lower in your body. Not only are you more relaxed (which is a very good thing) but the depth of breathing is said to also move the muscles round the groin area. This may explain your feeling on waking. Your sleeping body has been massaging your prostate without your conscious involvement.

Some suggestions. Use diaphragm (belly) breathing. Have a single beer an hour before the session (to relax a little but not dull the sensations). Don't overdo the contractions. You're looking for a little tickle, not a bludgeoning.

You'll know when your body is taking over from you. Don't fight it or try to help it along. It may be frustrating that things aren't progressing, but you shouldn't think like that or you'll not get anywhere. At each slightest pleasurable tickle, think to yourself "That's nice. I like that." and you may have more and more until it builds into a wave or something better.

PS. I thought I had this all cracked last week. I took a weekend break away and returned, eager for a good session. It was a dud. It was like my prostate had gone to sleep. I'm having to learn it all over again. After three days, I think I'm on the cusp.

It's not a push button orgasm machine. If your expectations were as such, you only have yourself to blame. It is much easier to believe that it is a scam than to put effort into it and see results.

I heard that swimming was a good form of exercise. I decided to give it a try. I got a membership in a swimming club for a hefty price, well, at least in my poor student budget.

I was so excited the first time. I definitely knew how to swim. I had been swimming in the 5 feet long tub in my tiny bathroom everyday for a few years. I head down jumped into the swimming pool. What the heck! I couldn't breath. The water surrounded me. It's not supposed to happen. I moved my arm and leg like I swimming in my tub. It didn't work at all. The swimming pool sucked big time. Actually it's dangerous. I was suffocating. The next thing I knew I was lying on the floor with a burly dude kissing me on my mouth. I attempted to push him away. But I couldn't move my arm. The ugly dude kept blowing in my mouth. I was sick and I puked all over myself.

I demanded the swimming club give my money back. It's a total scam. How can anyone enjoy drinking that dirty water, being chocked by water and being kissed by dude and puke? It's a total scam. Maybe only sick person who can't run enjoy swimming in a pool.
  • Hydrogen, I think I understand your post sufficiently to say... please don't... that's just not the way we encourage people here on the forum. Anyone remember that other guy? I guess you weren't around then...

    Cheers...
