Question about not touching the toy
  • Hi,

I've been using the Helix for about a week. I bought the Hypnaerosession cd too.

Doing hands free squeezing/clenching produces absolutely no good feelings at all.

However, if I work the toy a little bit, it does feel very nice. I also like sitting and rocking on the toy in my cushioned computer chair, but the p-tab really pokes hard into me.

Should I continue using my hand or chair to move the toy, or should I just focus on squeezing/clenching and hope the good feelings will follow in the future?

    Thanks!

    Welcome to the forum, 262.

Around here, the guys who enjoy sitting on their Aneros device and working it are called, "grinders." There's nothing wrong with grinding as long as you're comfortable. The only Aneros devices designed to be comfortable while sitting are the Peridise units and the VICE. The Helix and others can be modified to make them better for grinding. Search the threads on this site for how to modify Aneros devices. For example, I cut the curly part off the tail of my Helix and Eupho, leaving a straight, flat section.

Check out the Wiki, linked at the top of this page for some tips on how to get the Helix to operate passively. It may take some practice. Very few rookies walk up to plate and hit it out of the park on their first at-bat.

    Relax, and enjoy the ride.

    Best Regards,

    Dave

PS. My wife likes to twiddle the Aneros I'm wearing while we're having sex. That feels good, too. -- D.

I never had any luck squeezing/clenching myself, it was a exercise in frustration.

Like ten_s_nut mentioned, Peridise is good for sitting down in a chair. I have a Peridise and use it sometimes
when surfing for porn. Best to forget it is there and get aroused..then eventually a tickle or involuntary spasm
will happen (over a period of weeks or months). Sit back and enjoy.

The aneros is not like masturbation, you can't will it to happen.
  • Clenching/unclenching impeded my advancement. You will find if you try to do nothing at all after the preliminary "seating" clench, your body will take over at some point.
The rewiring process is a real phenomenon. Patience and surrender are both vital in attaining it.The less you do willfully and the more you let your body do on it's own, the faster your progress will be. It took me a long time to get there but trust me, you cannot force it to come to you you have to wait for it to arrive.

I have been a long term grinder and a while back finally broke through by using my finger on the aneros. I wasn't however moving or rocking the aneros but instead used my finger to ever so lightly stroke the toy. I described it like stroking a clit. A very light stroking and sometimes moving my finger in a circular motion was what did it for me. the sensation of my finger on the aneros felt to me just like I had my finger on my prostrate.
This doesn't work all the time but only when at a heightened sensation.
I agree with the bishop that you can't make it happen but in this case that is exactly what I did. It was very much like masterbation and it brought me to that long sought after orgasm.
  • Ok, thanks for the info. Since it just takes time for your body to adjust, and you can't make it happen, it seems the more hours you can log, the sooner your body will rewire and be capable of the great feelings.

So, I have read about some folks in hear who sleep with it. I was thinking about doing it last night, but after wearing for a few hours, I felt like taking it out.

What do you thinking about sleeping with it as much as possible and let your body rewire throughout the night when your subconscious is in control?

    262;

I sleep with either a modified Eupho (curly part of tail cut off) or a VICE, mainly for convenience and so I don't use up any daytime hours with it. Note that this practice is NOT recommended for a number of reasons, like possibly hurting yourself. There is no evidence that sleeping with Aneros speeds up the new circuit building process. If you decide to try an overnight, make absolutely sure your lube will go the distance.

    Best Regards,

    Dave
  • Opinion on this varies. The only one I feel safe about overnighters is the smallest Peridise (but that's just me).
Some have awakened to great things, I've tried it a number of times and although I am totally rewired I have not had any luck doing this.
I usually get up in the middle of the night and just remove it. So I basically stopped trying.

Welcome to the Aneros Forums, your best source of information for learning about the multiple benefits and joys of using the Aneros prostate massagers and thanks for purchasing the "HypnAerosession" guided Anerosession, I think it will help get you into the necessary relaxed frame of mind.

For men new to anal play and prostate massage, initial sensations of good feelings are often quite subtle, much more subtle than traditional penile masturbation, there is a tendency to want to intensify those subtle feelings by forcing movement through manual manipulation of you massager. While this does intensify the physical sensations, it also sets up a several negative possibilities.
    [LIST=1]
[*]Manual manipulation, if done too vigorously, can lead to injury of the delicate tissues in and around the prostate. Very light touching for subtle vibratory effect as described by member 'thhn' is probably OK but anything more vigorous should be avoided.
[*]Establishing a pattern of manual manipulation focuses mental energy and muscular focus on hand manipulation technique rather than on developing your pelvic floor muscles. This may actually hinder your rewiring progress as you are adding a new layer of mental control to inhibit your body's natural involuntary responses.
[*]Manual manipulation also removes the opportunity to use your hands and fingers to provide supplementary erotic stimulation to other parts of your body such as your nipples, testicles, inner thighs, torso, etc.
[*]Manual manipulation is awkward and fatiguing, further taking mental focus away from enjoying the pleasureful sensations.

I have tried this method on a few occasions and did not experience any special sensations.
There is a chance you can injure yourself due to nocturnal movements, especially if you have a model with the handle/tail still attached as it can get tangled in sheets/blankets.
IMHO, "re-wiring" is not accelerated due to the additional number of hours being logged while in a non-conscious mode.
IMHO, presence of the Aneros for such extended periods of time could lead to a kind of desensitization as your body becomes inured to the massager, it loses the special stimulating qualities and may thus slow down the "re-wiring" process.
While it is absolutely important to have your subconscious mind fully engaged in the "re-wiring" process, it is during your conscious state of mind that you fully enjoy the pleasures your Aneros massager can induce. You may have some great erotic dreams but will you be able to remember them in the morning? Will you be able to transfer the knowledge gathered by your subconscious nocturnal learning to conscious daytime Anerosessions?

I know member 'tennis_s_nut' is an advocate of usage during sleep, as are several other long time users. For some men there may be a benefit to this approach, but as you've already discovered it may just end up being "a pain in the ass" and not worth the hassle. If you do decide to try this method, please heed 'tennis_s_nut's advice about using a long lasting lubrication, most water based lubes are not sufficient for this purpose as they are readily absorbed by the rectum. Pulling a dry Aneros out of a dry rectum/anus in the morning will not be fun!
  • Thanks for the details Rumel! I'm about to check out the PM you sent me. I appreciate it.

One of the biggest problems of overnighters, is the backing up of FM, which throws off your regularity. Also, you may get some stuck on your Aneros, which will impede movement, inhibit pleasure, and make for a more difficult clean up.

    Hello, Badger.

Fortunately, I haven't had any issues with irregularity or poop on the Aneros due to sleeping with Eupho or VICE. I have read elsewhere that some guys have experienced those problems.

There is one more thing worth mentioning. In addition to the other potential hazards of overnight use mentioned above in this thread, to avoid prostate bruising caused by too vigorous partner play, let your bed buddy know that only small, gentle movements of the device are pleasurable.

    Cheers,

    Dave

I haven't had any issues with all nighters, in fact they have been most sulbime! Yes, be careful and mindful of what you are feeling in all cases!
