GREAT LIBERATIONS along THE TAO of ANEROS

Over the past months we are beginning to recognize a vast dimension accessible, for how many we don't yet know, on an Aneros Journey, even given that each man's journey is unique. We've called it appropriately The Tao of Aneros.

Rumel has begun a collection of User Theorems for success in this version of the practice: https://www.aneros.com/forum/discussion/12913/user-theorems-the-tao-of-aneros

In a couple of recent threads here, I have sensed two practitioner's elegant condensation, into a few words, of some great liberating experiences along this broad category of pathways. Parallel to the Milestones in the Aneros Journey, I think these Great Liberations are worth noting in loosely mapping the possibilities along The Tao of Aneros.

Whereass Milestones can be seen as goals and achievements to "try for", or as EXPECTATIONS that almost inevitably frustrate for greater or lesser delays, Great Liberations are all about leaving impediments and distractions behind, way behind...

Please post your experiences that fit here and we'll get them added to this list.

all the very best shedding of all impediments to the great energetics healings and universal love all

THE TAO of ANEROS: GREAT LIBERATIONS
First Great Liberation – "and it just seemed to lift away all of the 'reflexive panic'" of male/male contact fear
Second Great Liberation – "while gently popping fireworks of bliss were going off in my head... I felt something I can only describe as my ego melting, becoming irrelevant."
Third Great Liberation – "How ironic that the upshot of this journey has been the diminution of the sexual and an enhanced awareness of the much greater pleasure beyond that!"
*First Great Liberation Experience, kharrisma, from https://www.aneros.com/forum/discussion/comment/39566#Comment_39566 : "Never occurred to me until I began my Aneros use; the sensations derived from being penetrated just naturally let to thoughts of, "If an inanimate piece of plastic feels this good, then...." and it just seemed to lift away all of the "reflexive panic" associated with the thought being physically intimate with another male, and left me in more of a "receptive to any warm, considerate, fun-loving, like-minded partner" kind of state. It's like being relieved of a burden I didn't even know I was carrying. "

As is always a reminder, every man's journey is unique, and this is NOT about every guy getting active with another males or males. It is about losing and being freed of the fear of that in the emotional baggage and muscle memory impediments generated by the anti-gay, homophobic socialization of young males that can cripple any guy's mental and neuro-muscular responses to finding the positives of anal/prostate practices.
*Second Great Liberation Experience, Pareidolia, from: https://www.aneros.com/forum/discussion/comment/39544#Comment_39544
"Interesting and inspiring choice of words, rumel! I can relate to relinquishing ego." After my first breakthrough, during one of my first long stretched sailing-Os, while gently popping fireworks of bliss were going off in my head... I felt something I can only describe as my ego melting, becoming irrelevant. When that session ended I sat up in my bed, buzzing but clear minded, saying over and over "This is bigger than me, greater than me!"
*Third Great Liberation Experience, Helixer, from: [I]the fourth post below : "I started my Aneros journey to learn to become a better lover and have better sex thru multiple orgasms...How ironic that the upshot of this journey has been the diminution of the sexual and an enhanced awareness of the much greater pleasure beyond that! How blessed we are as human beings! Now the sexual has finally been put in its proper place I can finally be true to my nature as human... ...If only (other) humans could be true to their nature wouldn't the world be a better place."

    artform,

"GREAT LIBERATIONS" indeed! This is certainly a worthy topic of discussion, I hope we can agree on some succinct statements which embody the feelings expressed in those cited quotations. Here's my attempt at doing that -
Aneros Liberation #1 - Self acceptance of/for the existence of homo-erotic fantasy as an essential part of the sensual creatures we, as whole human beings, ARE.
Aneros Liberation #2 - Self realization of ineffable states of being dwarfing the importance, effectiveness or significance of our ego.
Here are a couple more I and many others have also found -
Aneros Liberation #3 - Sensual/sexual pleasure is independent of ones penis and ejaculatory experience.
Aneros Liberation #4 - Men and women are equally endowed to enjoy multiple orgasmic experiences.

But seriously. I started my Aneros journey to learn to become a better lover and have better sex thru multiple orgasms...How ironic that the upshot of this journey has been the diminution of the sexual and an enhanced awareness of the much greater pleasure beyond that! How blessed we are as human beings! Now the sexual has finally been put in its proper place I can finally be true to my nature as human. Animals are true to their nature as animals (as they only have the sexual)no faking with animals and man do I love them for their purity. If only (other) humans could be true to their nature wouldn't the world be a better place.
Just a pity I'm the only one that's been liberated....A bit like Plato's allegory of the cave :(

Excellent post Helixer!! :D :D Thank you!! Check out the Third Great Liberation above.

We are quite close, with this exception, I do not now feel the need to abandon the sexual completely while being so much more focused on, and hugely grateful for, all that is beyond, as you say. Your feelings and transcendent results have long historical precedents taking you into sexual abstinence, and I respect and honour your elevation.

Sex remains part of our nature. However, I have never been a typical power/manipulator/desperate male, nor attracted to manipulative females. Sex has never been a power game here, and I find the hypersexualization of advertising and even common everyday language analogies and cursing, very off-putting and something I have avoided wherever possible. After all, I have felt the liberation at that level since my first glorious prostate/anal orgasms at 13 and the life-altering Intellectual Orgasms (actually I now know a form of Spiritual Orgasm) after effects at that time!! :D :D

We are each unique individuals from different life experiences. I respect your articulation of your aneros-assisted transformation, and celebration your ascension into the wonders of powerful full spectrum energetics. I am there too and celebrate whenever. Actually I celebrate almost all the time, since these above and beyond energies are my background energies. It is so astounding that this can be integrated so smoothly into everyday mindfulness, gratitude, and an aesthetic joy de vivre!!

And I see and enjoy our conversations here as part of the Aneros Plato Symposium, a sub-set of the wider Forum devoted to these more core being issues. For anyone who hasn't read Plato's Symposium, I recommend Tom Griffith's translation, published by Collins Harvill in 1989.

all the best to you and all who transcend through the Tao of Aneros all

Ok, I'll describe below my 'routine' so you can see you're not fully correct with your assertion.

I do the Microcosmic Orbit (at least) 3 times a day. Every other day I do the KSMO
Once every (at least) 2 weeks I buy a little mj(generally use 2-3 days in a row). Once every 2 weeks+1 day I have sex with Mark Hunt(i.e. the Fleshie)1 or 2 days(at least one with happy ending). Then when the weekend is over I spread a bottle of red wine over 2 days.
Without mj I only use the Aneros sporadically in this 2 week interval, coz it takes up a lot of my time, so I mainly use it when ecstasy is a sure thing and arrives fast(with mj).
The first night I use mj the orgasm is purely non-sexual in sensation, meaning it's more like taking ecstasy. A sensation of unbelievable euphoria spreading thru your body, becoming more energetic all the time (which isn't good if you don't want to disorientate your biological clock)so then I finish off with a little penetrative sex, leaving my penis tingling all over the shaft after I shoot my load.
The next day my Super O has changed from purely (energetic) euphoria to a more sexual type of Super O, continuous dry orgasms(like your shooting your load but you're not) and even the occasional erection.
The day after that I have half a bottle of wine at night so the day after that I have great results with the ksmo, then finish off the bottle and have an anerossession the next day with equally great results and then it's back to normal.

    2. About the sexual. You can look at it the good way and the bad way(like the cupcake metaphor in 2 and a half men). The good way is that you acknowledge it's an evolutionary program built into animals so they procreate.BUT, unlike animals we can think (ahead), in the first place by inventing contraception, enabling us to experience the pleasure but not the pain.
Men are programmed to react to aspects of the evolutionary program as I touched on before, for when a women is either ready to make babies or that which would suggest fertility. Before 're-wiring' the response was different, mainly getting horny. Now however I use erotic imagery(sounds are good as well)coz it shocks my body into listening, it helps to tune into your body's orgasmic response. A bit like rubbing your nipple. It ramps up the orgasmic energy so you can more easily recognize it.

So, again, we as humans can use the evolutionary program to our advantage by taking only the pleasure(the evolutionary rewards) or we can be an adulterated animal.(using our intellect for pain/evil).

    ----------
Just so we're clear for me it's not sexual when I'm ecstatic, but the sexual can ramp up things so I can get there more quickly

Couldn't agree more. You and I are are virtually identical, if we leave out the mid-section details of your practice, and I am making no judgement on them at all. Indeed, thank you very much for posting your practice details and further thoughts.

Were it not for my sex life with mrs. a, I might be an ecstatic energies monk and healer. Yet I think my/our sex life now has nothing to do with gene selection/competition, or social/consumption status grabbing or other social criticism, much of which I might well agree with, butt rather: male prostate health, mutual ramping up to the ecstatic, and mutual ecstatic energies sharing!!!

Personal Journey: another variant on the First Great Liberation!

At KSMO, Jack refers to "Furballs" emotional and other blockages that can impede orgasmic energies practice development. I have been relatively free of these and have had only one other before in the past 4+ years here and there (KSMO).

All the recent threads dealing with the large aneros models causing members here to question, or look to being penetrated by another male as being a possibility or even attractive, based on what they have learned about their responses to Progasm and the other big ones have stirred me up. The First Great Liberation came for me back with my gay friend and our exploratory gay relationship and I enjoyed it, while at the same time learning that my orientation is well into the straight side of bisexuality. I have maintained my platonic friendship with my gay co-explorer of youth. We have many gay and lesbian friends. I feel as close a kinship and conversational freedom with the bisexual and gay men here, as I do with all the straight guys!

In the energies exchanges experiments here over the past year+, sexual response energies are the pathway to the full spectrum of energies that Taoist traditions map as: Jing(orgasmic, life essence, sexual kung fu)>>>Qi/Chi(life-force healthy energies)>>>Shen(spiritual energies, spiritual orgasms, universal union, floating bliss).

from artform's Vice/Vibe review: Having resisted until I was seduced by transparent Ice, the "fullness feeling" big Aneros models are now favourites too. The soft texture and slight give of the Vice is SO erotic and engaging: without vibe, Vice is the closest to a living cock in you from an Aneros product!! I love being able to sit up so comfortably in chairs/lounges with it in, in, IN! Vice without Vibe is the closest thing to being back in my youth bottoming, and has rekindled those memories physically.

The great thing is that this has released more energies that I seemed to have been holding back. In a recent energies exchange-at-a-distance (more than a thousand miles), I found I was having a very powerful energies "sexual" bottoming experience that was surprisingly hugely liberating. This release of huge additional levels of orgasmic energetic joys quickly became energies that had mrs. a and I having a great higher hot energies gettogether soon after, undiminished at all by ejaculation, and they remained fully present powerfully for more than a week. They are now an elevated integrated part of the always present full spectrum energies background hum I have and love.

I was being coached through an energies development session by a friend here, that I have never met beyond our texting here in the Forum and in the Chats. Whereas I normally get into the spiritual energies quite soon and very directly, in the texting session mentioned in the Quote above, where he was offering very generalized encouragement, I felt physically penetrated and felt it as a great overwhelming pleasure energetically.

Beyond anything from my use of Ice, Max or Vice, this felt like another human being and his penis erection full inside me. This was beyond anything I had seriously tried or expected to feel for the decades since my youthful gay activities ended. It also carried these powerful feelings of enormous new added energies and of a new freedom, a liberation, a wonderful elevating lightness of being.

Both the freedom to experience these vast energies in that original sexual way while in conversation with another man now, the first time since my youth, and the access to this new level of energies and freedom, obviously was the clearing of an old "furball" about protecting and withholding something of myself even after having been as open as I have been with my sexual development history here:

I am so appreciative of this recent event and the energetics reintegration of it with my whole being here and now, I cannot say enough.

all the best shedding of all false assumptions and furballs or blockages of all sorts all

all the most liberating practice all

The most profound thing I learned from Mantak Chia was that the energyflow of men and that of women move in opposite directions. At first I just took it as a given but then I started to ponder the deeper implications. The energy flow with men starts in the perineum then moves up, in women it starts in the crown. Isn't that the dynamics of the relationship between the sexes in a nutshell?
Women need reasons(status, wealth etc) to have sex, while men want to have sex and then later justify with some maudlin spirituality.

When man has been liberated from this biological kryptonite and starts thinking with his head instead of his penis what reasons can he find to completely adapt his life to the female?

    Hi again Helixer.

Many men have allowed themselves to be led around life by their penis indeed. A famous radio commentator openly lamented on air on a national radio program: "...letting myself be led through my life by my penis." shortly before he died. There is no doubt.

So I am not trying to change your mind, just asking that you also respect those of us males who did not grow up into that behavioural model. I didn't. Many people think I am too much in my head all the time. And I enjoy my crown-centred orgasms too. :D :DThere are examples of other male modes of being throughout human, and our diverse cultural, history.

Butt, is it women's modern consumerist schemes as seem to you, intent on reducing life to that for everybody, or is it the fact that women ovulate one egg usually per month and need to seek a co-caring mate willing to invest with her in the child protecting. development and gathering of resources, while we males are of a far more ancient seed spreading mode anatomically, spreading hundreds of thousands, or millions, of potential seeds, multiple times per day in our prime, and unlike females, still productive up until the day we die??? Nature goofed in not modernizing our seed spreading technique too, in parallel with the new female one???

So, we human males, given our intellectual capacity, our moral/ethical sense/commitment, and our sense of connection with all, can chose the life model best for us. Consciously chose by feeling our genetic, cultural and social inheritance, critically reviewing that, and making our lives a conscious work of art, to the degree possible of course. I am not the first "artform". :D :D The philosopher Epictetus, born into slavery in 55 CE, wrote The Art of Living, now subtitled: The Classical Manual on Virtue, Happiness, and Effectiveness. One of the founders of the Stoic school of philosophy, his influence has continued into the present, as in Tom Wolfe' celebration of this philosophy in his novel: A Man in Full.

I am sorry you feel in this post you must attack the great Taoist/Tantric spiritual range experienced so positively by so many over many centuries, as "maudlin". All the best in finding your pathway to the wider possibilities. Others here are finding that Aneros practice alone, or in combination with complementary practices like KSMO and Tao, to cite only the ones we share out of many other possibilities: http://www.aneros.com/forum/f6/%2Aspiritual-orgasm-interest-experience-12443/

While we are looking into philosophical bases for our journeys here, take a look at modern philosopher's review of these things in Christopher Phillip's book: Socrates in Love. I believe and feel that it has a lot to suggest to all of us in this community about the distribution of the Universal Love energies that can be greatly empowered by the orgasmic energies we can tap into here.

In Plato's Symposium, he includes the female embodiment of deep wisdom, Diotima. You might enjoy opening yourself freely to this eternal female Helixer. Phillips says:

Diotima says in the Symposium that "the aim of eros" is to unfold and reveal beauty to us. "We are all pregnant in body and in spirit", she says, "and when we reach maturity our nature longs to give birth." That is what the great artists, scientists, and social reformers do.

Up until now I'd say that any man that didn't believe he was lead by his penis was either in denial or willfully deluding himself. Because up until the advent of the Aneros there has never been a viable alternative. Now there's not only an alternative but it's one that makes sex seem primitive and outdated. Man has always compromised and adapted to the female. After all you don't catch fish with the stuff you like but adapt to what you want to catch. So men end up living the life that females always wanted to have.
So purely from the male perspective is this 'woman's life' compatible with his inherent male characteristics?
I suppose alcohol can help, this is maybe why in cultures where they're not allowed to drink polygamie is often allowed ;)

I think perhaps when you get past the sexual you start thinking differently, so instead of asking what you have to offer a female you start thinking more in terms as: what has the female got to offer me?
And this is getting increasingly hard to answer

If man lives to please the female, who's inherently very different, the pleasure he receives is only indirect as he's satisfied when the woman is (temporarily) satisfied. So you end up with a house full of 'stuff', statusobjects and the like with a growing emptiness inside. Why? Because you're living the woman's life your satisfaction is only indirect.
Wouldn't it be easier just to experience direct pleasure instead? Pleasing yourself isn't so hard to do, a man is after all easily satisfied. You've thus not only freed yourself from your biological predicament but you can finally live life more in tune with what you as a man desire

Helixer, I have tried to share a more optimistic and grounded positive dimension to male-female relations. I understand that you have considerable pain from yours in our hyper-competitive, hyper-consumerist, materialist reductionist so-called "Developed West"ern society. Many many men do too, butt approach the problem in different ways.

I have by life's serendipity in my unique story, been able to remake negatives consciously as part of my art of living. All I can do is invite you to think about your possibilities now and how you might artfully remake the things you don't like.

Your deciding for a monk-like eros/energetic-ecstatics spiritual bliss can be a noble life, as long as you can leave the past pain and negative emotions behind sufficiently. Maybe talking with a counsellor would assist you in this.

I found I had to remake aspects of my life from time to time, and have been able to do that more or less successfully, happily, and enjoy the results. All I can do now friend is wish you well as you reflect and seek the positive possibilities in making your own art form of life, and the sensual and the spiritual dimensions of it all.

all the very best possible onward all

  • Helixer, I've come to respect your prespective more and more lately. I used to think you were a little too "liberal" for my tastes, but I have exanded my zone in part because of you and your openess. I say this to signify that I have respect for you and your opinion. I will not try to sway you from how you feel. You're free to live this life however you wish.

I will say this. To me, and this is my persona belief, a relationship should be as equal as possible. My sister and brother in law have one of the easiest marriages I've ever seen. They respect one another, put each other first, and try to make the other person happy. They give each other space when needed, and comfort when needed. I've never seen a relationsihp so easy. That's exactly what my sister was trying to tell me when I was describing some recent relationship problems. She told me love isn't hard. When two people care for one another, they do everything they can for each other. When I see statements that suggest a woman only wants to materialize a house, or manipulate a man, well, brother, you've got the wrong woman! That's as bad as a man beating his wife! Okay, well, not as bad, but still not respectful and mutual! Some people are manipulative, some abusive, etc.. Don't let those few people ruin one of life's greatest joys.

Another group I was involved with had a descussion about a sub and a Dom. One person asked when does a Dom take things too far? I said quite sijmply, when the relationship loses mutual respect, and one person, sub or Dom, controls the other beyond agreed upon boundaries, where consent is lost, then it's abuse and the actions have gone too far.

I fully believe that life is about joy. One of the simplest joys I know is waking up next to my love and knowing that she's there every morning. I can see her smile any time. I can be her support when she needs me. I don't desire to please her as a man. I desire to give the person I love as much love as she gives me. And that's about all I know on that subject. :)

Again, I value and repsect your stance. Feel free to keep how you are. I learn more from you as time goes on. I hope in some way I can teach as well. All I know to do is express what's real for me, and let others decide how that applies to them, if at all.

There's a biological reason why men and women have different evolutionary strategies.
It's just an objective observation, like the most beautiful women living in the richest neighbourhoods. I'm not denouncing women for it, it's just how nature works. It's logical that women want a man that's going to provide the best opportunities for her children'. And it's a natural response that men will do all they can to provide for the children. You don't have to be an ueber materialist or have bad experiences with women to see that men's wants and needs become greatly increased with a woman. Again, the evolutionary strategy. A woman has to see that a man can not only provide for her but also for her children. Sure, it doesn't always lead to avarice, but looking how this consumerist/materialist society is destroying the world hopefully the Aneros has come on time to save the day.
I don't think men are like women in that they've always dreamt of having children, but I do think nature has 'endowed'men thus that they will sell their soul for sex.
Or as they say:"Life's a bitch and then you die"

The main point I've been trying to make is, since sex has always been enough reason for men and women to get together and reproduce and the oxytocin release gave a 'spiritual' reason to stay together. Thus men and women have never evolved so that they were compatible in other ways, it didn't matter coz sex and oxytocin was enough to keep the two together despite the very different inherent characteristics. Or in Jungian terms. Man would project his anima(his female self) onto the female
Now what happens when man discovers a far greater pleasure than any pleasure a woman can provide? Is there still a reason to delude oneself?
Of course there's going to be a difference if one is single or if one is a couple. A (longterm) couple will be attached emotionally and financially and will most likely have commitments not only to each other but to their children as well. That's fine, then this isn't about you. I'm talking a-priori.

What benefit is a relationship to a man when he really doesn't care much for the road a relationship with a woman generally leads to?
Say if someone suggested to you to live your whole life with a woman and get on the treadmill of materialistic wants to provide for her and her children and have no sex whatsoever, would you do it?
His sexdrive used to provide sufficient reason to do things he otherwise would never in a thousand years contemplate.(a bit like the heroinejunky who will even kill to satisfy his addiction). Now mankind has (accidentally)discovered a pleasure far greater than sex does he still really have to delude himself?

This isn't about becoming a munk, sure I've let myself get carried away like others who first discover this ecstatic pleasure in thinking this was like the first step to enlightenment. The Super O version of delusion. Coz really it's just hedonism, healthy, but hedonism nonetheless I have no need for scripture or 'spiritual' justification. I don't abstain from sex like a munk would, I just go for the greater pleasure. I haven't become more spiritual but I have become more tuned into what I want.

Of course internet helps as well. Now I'm rewired I can have the pleasure that up until now was only for the rich and the famous, seeing beautiful sexy women in exactly the way men are programmed to react sexually. But now I'm rewired it gives more of a euphoric rush, actually feeling better than even having sex with these women. So not only do I have the pleasure of these women for free, I don't have the pain. This to me is what evolution is about. It's not about platitudes or 'spiritual' values but being led by the least pain and the greatest pleasure.

We all no how the sight of a beautiful women puts one into an altered state, or how oxytocin works on the mind. Sex has always been man's kryptonite. How the weaker sex subdued the stronger one into leading his life according to her evolutionary strategy. Now there's a greater pleasure should it be man adapting to the females'evolutionary strategy? I think not!

Perhaps Aneros is to 'love' what evolution is to 'religion'. Both can be believed and experienced, as both can be used to control and manipulate.

This seems to be a good haiku-like summation of your position. My hope for this thread is that users who experience a liberation, a renunciation, a falling away of an old burden, a new lightness in their being and sense of well-being will use this thread to tell those kinds of stories. I am not asking you to stop posting here, but I am inviting you to think about your situation from that perspective, and post here whenever that kind of "lightening" experience happens to you.

I very much appreciate your post from which I caught the liberation moment you have had: Great Liberation Three. I felt liberated too when I first hit that level and realization. I am happy to chat with you, as we have often, in other threads on other topics, including ones you have started on your issues. Thanks too for those.

I bump this up given the Korkelz thread on God, Sex etc. recently revived in the new Forum too.
  • Quotidian.  I just found a new favorite word.  Quotidian is particularly powerful when thinking about Aneros.  Why bump this thread of the Aneros Tao in such a way?  Because I feel like our quotidian lives often overwhelm us.  Everyday life is a survival of the fittest.  Every day we work to earn money to pay bills to be able to eat and have shelter.  Why is work so stressful?  Because if we fail at our job we fail to earn money and fail to provide our basic needs.  The exception would be those who self sustain, such as farmers and hunters, etc...

How does quotidian impact Aneros?  I like to think it doesn't!  Which is exactly why I want to bump this thread in such a way.  The Tao of Aneros, or Tantra, revolves around consciousness.  We are conscious of every move we make with Aneros.  We listen intently.  We feel with purpose.  We set our minds to the very actions we feel will give us pleasure with Aneros.  We remove quotidian life.  Be it for five minutes or three hours, the hum drum of survival stress disappears.  For such a brief span of time, we are living our lives fully free how we choose!  I know we still have mind noise at times, but when most of us start a session we do so with an honest and good intent to maintain conscious focus on Aneros.

Why do we so often say to relax and breathe in our advice to new members?  Because it teaches one how to focus the mind away from quotidian life.  By learning how to breathe we are really learning how to fully participate in a single event.  We learn how to experience.  I don't feel it's possible to force Aneros.  I use Aneros as a fully encompassing term because I also feel that Aneros is much more than an orgasm because something is in my ass.  I choose to make Aneros more because I felt it to be so.  How does relaxing help to achieve Aneros success?  It also helps to bring a conscious focus into what is happening EXACTLY right now as best as possible.  For as brief as passing time is, we experience the moments of Aneros NOW.  We don't think about what just happened when relaxed, or what happened yesterday, last session, last year.  Relaxation is a very NOW experience.

I feel that an Aneros session is sacred in this regard.  Maybe I should define my version of sacred.  By giving all of my attention to the very moment I begin Aneros to the moment I end Aneros, I am fully conscious and present in the moment.  I devote my energy and my being to what I contribute to the session as well as what I receive.  There is balance.  I contribute.  I receive.  What I contribute helps me understand what I receive.  If I begin a session, and I keep thinking about quotidian life, what can I hope to receive?  If I worry about being relaxed enough, what will I receive?  If I attempt a session just because, and I don't even really want one, what do I hope to receive?  Thinking about quotidian life will allow me to receive the fear and anxiety of surviving another day.  Worrying about being relaxed enough may seem obvious, but being able to let go and truly relax can be hard!  This is why Rumel and so many others have created topics and conversations regarding the topic.  Going into a session cold and without desire will probably have me receiving a very cold and non-response reception.

So, what's great about creating this sacred space of Aneros?  Why enjoy the Tao of Aneros?  Why let go and be fully present, fully conscious in the moment of Aneros?  To remove quotidian life.  How often can we create a utopian world?  I've often wanted to change the world and make it perfect.  I want to remove all the impurities and just make everyone happy.  I can't do that though.  I'm not large enough or smart enough.  What can I do?  For anywhere from 1 second to several hours, I can create my own utopian world of Aneros.  I can create my bubble of perfection and fully live in it for as long as I can.  I can explore, be curious, learn lessons, have fantastic feelings and be fully able and deserving to enjoy such things.  The ability to feel pleasure and joy is free!  We already know how to do it too!  Talk about a birth gift.

I once went indoor rock climbing.  I stood at the base of the wall and saw all the tiny pegs my feet and hands were supposed to use to reach the top.  I stared at this thing, intimidated, scared, and not sure what to do or where to begin.  The instructor didn't tell me anything or do anything except put the harness on me.  It must have been a few minutes, but the thought that finally got me moving was, what are you waiting for?  I told myself I didn't know what to do.  Then my other self said, what do you mean?  It's a rock!  Climb it!  The answer seemed so simple that it was like I almost forgot that somewhere in my life I learned how to climb, and that the act was so second nature that it almost seemed foreign.

We know how to feel pleasure!  We know how to enjoy happiness!  Sometimes I think it just comes down to remembering that we do.  Sometimes it's just as simple as reach up, grab a peg, lift leg, step on peg, repeat.  I did reach the top of that rock too.  At which point I was able to just let go and let the harness lower me back down.  I often fight quotidian life with other activities too.  Fishing, writing, watching TV, they are all the same, but none of them really as sacred.  I don't focus as much on fishing, or watching TV.  Those activities let my mind go and forget about quotidian life, but I don't get to create my own space, my own world, and truly live it.

I encourage those interested to read this thread and many others like it to learn about  Aneros in all of its aspects.  We really do find that we connect as a community, as a collective, in shared experiences and joys.  To those who are not interested, find what does interest you!  So many topics are inspired here!  Get involved in searching and find something that sparks a new motivation, a better understanding, or even just a good laugh!  This forum really does range the gammut from, pegging, to auto F*ing, to cannibus, to erotic poetry, haikus, nearly everything.  This is Aneros to me.  This is our sacred space that we created here.  What space do you create at home?  How do you create your own, private utopia?

  • So, just curious because I've check this several times now at several points throughout the day, but did my post from last night just totally disappear?  I don't see it anywhere.  I can reload it as it seems to be on my most recent activity in my profile, but I'm very curious as to what happened.

Edit to say that now I see my post at the top instead of the last post at the bottom.  Sorry about this double post.  I was genuinely confused since I'm not used to seeing my posts jump to the topic of the topic instead of the bottom.

  • @rikaaim   I'm not sure why the default (at least for me) is to sort the posts by "Votes" rather than by "Date Added".  Someone gave your post the equivalent of a "thumbs up", and therefore it now sits closer to the top, just under the original post.

I noticed that just before the first "Comment" of every post, there's an indicator showing how many comments there are in the thread, and to the right of that a couple of tabs next to "Sorted By".  Click on the one you prefer, I guess.  However, I have found that for threads with multiple pages of comments, sorting by "Date Added" on the first page, won't keep for subsequent pages (it reverts back to "Votes").

If there's a way to change the default "Sorted By", I haven't found it yet.

    artform,
"GREAT LIBERATIONS" indeed! This is certainly a worthy topic of discussion, I hope we can agree on some succinct statements which embody the feelings expressed in those cited quotations. Here's my attempt at doing that -
Aneros Liberation #1 - Self acceptance of/for the existence of homo-erotic fantasy as an essential part of the sensual creatures we, as whole human

Did you write that a big part of the aneros journey is self acceptance of homo erotic fantasy because we're sensual creatures?

I really hope that I misinterped that..

Yes, you may have misinterpreted my simplification of 'artform's original statement, the complete statement was -

Please go back and re-read 'artform's opening post and his statement for Aneros Liberation #1.

The key point of the sentence was "Self acceptance".

  • If you read further, @alex_xxx, artform writes "As is always a reminder, every man's journey is unique, and this is NOT about every guy getting active with another males or males. It is about losing and being freed of the fear of that in the emotional baggage and muscle memory impediments generated by the anti-gay, homophobic socialization of young males that can cripple any guy's mental and neuro-muscular responses to finding the positives of anal/prostate practices."

So it does say that self-acceptance of sexual attractions to and fantasies about men is part of every man's potential and make-up. It just suggests looking at that with an open mind in relation to our experiences with aneros use and prostate orgasm, I think. It doesn't recommend trying sex with another man.

I don't know if I completely agree with the point as some men here characterize themselves as completely heterosexual and have no difficulty achieving the super O. Maybe this is truer for bisexual or bicurious men.

I discovered that as a gay man with no sexual experience with women, was possibly being held back from my journey by this unmet experience. With me the issue is fear and apparently it is blocking my progress, exactly the mirror image of what artform is talking about. I'll have to figure out how to access my attraction to women, a neglected piece of my psyche.

I've attended and led many workshops and support groups for men and gay men. When men who identify themselves as straight are asked if they ever had any sexual attractions to other boys when they were younger, most if not all would raise their hands. I think the point here is that as boys we were all hurt in similar ways by our parents because of society's promptings. So you may have heard "be a man" or "don't be a sissy" as you were growing up, if not from your parents then certainly from your peers. This message hurts our being as humans at a very deep level and can limit our imagination of our potential.

Maybe artform and rumel are suggesting that men and women are pan-sexual at a very deep level and we will all learn that when we are ready. Not as radical as you thought, is it?

I don't mean to put words into artform and remel's mouths by this. This is my understanding of their statements and my experience only.

    euphemistic,

I believe you are quite correct here, socio-stereotyping of gender roles begins at a very early age, attempting to clearly define those roles and associated behaviors. IMHO, the true nature of humans beings is very flexible, we live our lives on a continuum, not in discreet, neatly defined gender roles. Indeed as our life experiences change, our preferences, desires and behaviors can change as well.
The erotic meditations of the Aneros journey has allowed many men to awaken not only their prostates but also the realization of their own deeply rich, creative and varied fantasies which reside in their Id, the vast subconscious ocean. I believe this is an essential element of the "GREAT LIBERATIONS" of which 'artform' was addressing in starting this thread.
