Ok, so the inventor of Vaseline ate a spoonful of it a day? This stuff can't be too bad.

    A few points to ponder:
-Trying to fall asleep with the aneros seems to do a number of helpful things. It takes your focus off having a good session, puts your focus on relaxing. The more you relax, the less overall muscle tension you have. The less muscle tension you have, the easier it is for your body cycle blood to more important organs: your cock and prostate! :) This is just my hypothesis, it seems I'm more likely to get erect and have involuntary contractions when I'm relaxed.

-When you experience lots of pleasure and then your erection starts to go and pleasure starts to leave, pretend it's the result of an orgasm/release. Relax in satisfaction. Having this positive mindset/reinforcement seems to lead to pleasure coming back quicker.

-Been abstaining from ejaculation. This has been difficult until I discovered that the more I touch the penis (over a period of days) the closer I get to a desparate need to finish myself off in ejaculation. I've finally been in super-arousal territory multiple times without ejaculation inbetween. I feel more able to focus on nipples and prostate. I've had super-A for two days now, tomorrow will be a record for three.

-A note on involuntary contractions for those who are still looking for them: First step is to know what you're looking for. Any time you contract without trying to, that's involuntary, with or without the aneros. I'm sure everyone knows certain ways of touching oneself that makes it difficult to relax pelvic muscles. Now, look for involuntaries that happen just out of arousal or sexual anticipation.

    Experiences

So, inserted Progasm during last night's shower. Got out very non-chalantly with a big erection, wife couldn't help but look down.

Just want to explain that my wife and I have a bit of sexual frustration... can't remember the last time she actually wanted to be touched. Hey! I've been working up to a six pack and a bigger chest, so in the looks department I'm doing pretty good! Jeez, always jumping to conclusions, ey? :)

Turns out that when I'm having constant erections is when my wife's sexuality blossoms. Last night she enjoyed grabbing my shaft in bed to warm her hands (very effective when you have cold hands). She couldn't keep her hands (or lips) off me, as I clearly enjoyed her soft caresses against my legs and chest... almost as if she was the man in the relationship and I was the woman. hahaaaa.... She was too busy enjoying her man-toy to get that massage she asked for earlier.

Progasm will cause me to have palpatations. This is when the pleasure starts building. Amazing how a piece of plastic gets my heart pumping. So far, no orgasm, just throbbing erections and P-waves. It's almost torture!

Today, I was driving home from work, the vibrations of the car seemed to cause all sorts of pleasure in my super-a state. Missed a turn and so decided to pull off the road to relax before doubling-back. I experienced torturous pleasure, relieved when it went away, but happy when it returned. Hope this helps and wasn't boring to read.

    Hello, unconventional.

Not to hijack this thread or anything, ;) ...

I've been into the Aneros devices for 4 months. The first 3 months were typical 1 to 2-hour sessions, daily. About a month ago I started sleeping with the Eupho inside all night. That worked well for a number of reasons, like always being ready for sex with my wife. The last 2 weeks since I got the Aneros VICE, I sleep with that model. (Awesome.)

Lube is critical for extended use. I use a thin coating of Vaseline on the tool with as much Olive Oil as I can cover it with after that. If you think Vaseline is too synthetic, a vegetable grease like Crisco would probably work just as well.

    Cheers,

    Dave

At first I wasn't able to sleep with it in, but lately I've been able to get a good night's rest. It's possible I wasn't getting sleep before because the aneros was really pleasurable then, and now I'm in a period of not so much pleasure. However, last night I was having constant erections with the progasm in and still got sleep. So, it's *more* likely that I'm just becoming more adjusted to sleeping with aneros-induced conditions. I'll have to continue reporting on this. Last night, the aneros also entered my dreams (nothing happened in the dream). But of course it's a very good sign if you dream of the aneros. I strongly believe this could eventually lead to dream-induced orgasms, or possibly waking up to an orgasm.

I'm really not sure if there's any truth to this, but sleeping with the progasm *every* night might have lead to my feeling of constipation, so I took a few days off (feels better now). So, I'll pay attention to this and if someone else can also confirm this, then there might be some truth here.

Dreaming of Aneros? My first super-O started while I was accidentally sleeping with the Helix inside and it woke me up. Talk about a wake-up call. Yikes!

Regarding sleeping with Aneros inserted and constipation, I haven't noticed a correlation. In my experience, that problem is mostly related to diet and exercise schedule.

I often use the helix or prograsm before I go to bed so I often find myself napping a couple of seconds during the end of my sessions but like every other technique it won't make it past low/mid level p-waves. I just don't get how this thing should work on its own. If I don't do anything I can feel some very very subtle bumps of pleasure but it's like I have to do something (not necessarily actively) with them to build bigger waves. If I keep relaxing the waves will stay the same and slowly disappear during the course of my session.

You said, "I just don't get how this thing should work on its own."

I don't think anybody here really means that these lumps of plastic or metal work on their own. Sure, I've often said that the devices seem to have a mind of their own or do their own thing. What's really happening is, my body/brain combo has figured out how to wring pleasure from the device without my conscious intervention. One way to take your active mind out of the picture for a session is to simply go to sleep with the thing inside you. After a few nights of that, your body/brain may figure out on its own how to maximize pleasure.

Best of luck to you, and...

    Cheers,

    Dave

So you're saying we shouldn't ever try to "steer" the sensations by concentration, focus or sth like that (again not necessarily in an active way) and direct our focus completely away from that?

The Aneros experience is so personal and individualized that I can only say what works for me and what might work for others.

The state of mind that lets the Aneros device "do its own thing" is sometimes called Active Awareness. For me, it would be better to call it Passive Awareness. Whatever you call it, that state is one in which you know what's going on, you're highly aware of what's going on, you're focused on what's happening, but you don't step in and do anything about it.

I admit I violate that state when the Eupho starts moving in a way that causes me to have muscle spasms. Then, I do step in and use voluntary contractions to get the Eupho to move the way I prefer. Occasionally, the Eupho is "stubborn" and returns to what it was doing before I interfered. So, I step in again. I've never had to "force" the process this way more than 3 times in a session.

BTW, the VICE is much better behaved and doesn't ever cause the "spazzing out" business, but I do have to step in with voluntary contractions to slow things down when the vibe starts driving involuntary contractions too hard and fast.

    Best Regards,

    Dave

Yeah, sure, but nothing works for me so I'll try what I can find ;)

When you say nothing works for you, do you mean you have no sensation of anything pressing or touching your prostate during a session? Or, do you mean you feel the massager on your prostate but it's not exciting/pleasurable?

If you can feel the Aneros but the feeling never grows into anything worth talking about, it may simply be a matter of what guys around here call "awakening" the prostate. The Wiki has some tips about how to move the awakening process along. On the other hand, my wife told me that some women never get their G-spot to respond no matter what they do. Could be, some prostates are like that. I don't know what the statistics are or if anyone ever collected any on that topic.

I hope you're among the majority of Aneros users who eventually get satisfaction from it.

    Best Regards,

    Dave

Well, I can definitely feel something and once or twice in my 1 year aneros experience I think I made it to a dry-O but for the most part the sensations will stay at a very low level. I'm also not sure if the massager makes perfect prostate contact (I have a helix and progasm fwiw). The fact that I can get sth out of it probably indicates it but some people talk of a clear tingle when the aneros makes prostate contact.

If you think you had a dry-O, you did. Congrats! That's progress. The fact that most of the time you feel stuck at a low level is another story.

Since you have a Progasm, there's no doubt you've got good prostate contact -- simply a matter of body geometry versus device size. I get the tingle effect about once out of every 5 sessions, so that's not much of a factor in getting more orgasms from the tool. I consider tingles minor things that don't mean much by themselves.

Seems to me, your issue is all about how to get from low level sensations to ones that build into orgasms. I don't know how many of the numerous tips and tricks discussed in the Wiki you've tried. There are so many factors that affect arousal and orgasmic potential that it becomes a trial and error process. Everything from what you eat and drink to medications, physical condition, and environment plays a role.

With any luck, perseverance will pay off for you.

    Cheers,

    Dave
  • Grayfox,

I took several years off from the aneros and I just got started again. I started off with the classic which is still available in a kit. It is just the right size and has ridges at the base which I really like for extra stimulation of the anus. I tried the helix once and couldn't get much fromit. I also just bought a Progasm Ice today which I haven' used yet. It is big, so you might want to try something smaller(like a classic) until you get more experienced. By the way, I've had 2 sessions since I started back and they were GREAT!!! once you get desired, it's there forever!! Good luck.

Keep it up Multi, the pro just requires a little more time to get in, i think!

Well, my sessions have gotten a lot better in the most recent time and funnily enough, the progasm seems to work better than the helix. Again I'm not sure where on the orgasmic scale I've been (probably mini-O if I have to guess) but I can definitely enjoy my sessions now because I'll get so close and I can clearly see some progress.
