Third try
  • Well I have now used my helix for the third time. First time absolutely no joy after following all directions etc. Second time no joy altho there was a point when I thought I felt on the edge but nothing happened. Today I tried again and again nothing but a few feelings of being on the edge. Then at the end in frustration I lubed up my penis which by the way through all tries was completely flaccid. Although it did not get real hard I did have a pretty amazing orgasm. Lots of shaking, great feelings but nevertheess a penile orgasm. Does all this sound right to those of you who are expert and is there anything else I should be doing? Thanks!

    boldover333,

It is those subtle initial “feelings of being on the edge.” which need to be nurtured to advance your practice.

Here's a reply you probably don't want to hear.....
Have faith and enjoy whatever it is - you can't make it happen
    good luck with your journey

just keep at it and enjoy the good sensations - they will get better - believe me, once you make it to the Super O you won't believe it!!! (could be a few days or a few weeks...) In the meantime, you can expect lots of pleasure (and some frustration) as you go on this journey.
  • thanks for the support. Still absolutely nothing. A little pre cum but nothing else although it feels great having it in. I will keep trying and try to be patient. If anyone has any more ideas please let me know as this is pure frustration.

    boldover333,

Hmmm, I see a bit of a disconnect here. You said “Still absolutely nothing.” then “... it feels great having it in.” but later said “... this is pure frustration.”

Your frustration may be arising from having expectations you “...keep trying...” to obtain. If you release the expectations the frustration is likely to dissipate as well. Then you can concentrate on the significant portion of your practice which is the “... feels great having it in.” portion.

I suggest you just indulge in those subtle feelings that feel so good as those are the building blocks for the stronger feelings you will incur later. Calling those good feelings “...absolutely nothing” is programming yourself for failure and disappointment. If you ignore or discount those early subtle feelings you are repressing the buildup to the Super-O.

The existence of precum production is a good sign your massage action is taking place, again, this is significantly more than “...absolutely nothing”. The journey of learning you have begun is an intensely internalized one, both mentally and physically. You past association with externalized masturbatory practices have little value or relevance to this new pathway to orgasmic pleasure.

As usual - sage advice from an admired user! Thank you Rumel for all of your guidance for so many over the years.
  • Thanks for the interesting analysis. I would only say that the "expectation" frankly comes in major part from all the discussion of "super O's" which those who can experience them seem to be overjoyed to experience. How does one "release" those expectations given why we are using the Aneros in the first place?

that's a good point boldover - I can't agree more that it's easy for anyone who has had super O's to say "don't expect it" I have no answer for you here as I am in the same boat. For over two years I have been telling myself that, but cannot help upon feeling a new sensation, that "could this be it?... it this what it will feel like?"
Regardless of being somewhat frustrated by that, I enjoy ever session for what it is. the pleasure, while orgasmic in nature, is not an orgasm for me yet. So many times I have felt I was right on the edge, only to step up to another level.
  • thhn you really make a good point as well regarding enjoying every session for what it is. It is extremely enjoyable and maybe that is the way all of this is supposed to work. It is interesting isn't it that engaging the Aneros leads one to look for any little signal which in itself is interesting and exciting.

    boldover333,

How does one "release" those expectations given why we are using the Aneros in the first place?” Excellent question! I don't know if I have a good answer but I'll give you my thoughts about it.

For men in our western culture, we are enculturated to be very goal oriented. We are taught to follow logical rules, steps, procedures, etc, to achieve those goals. As such we pattern our thought processes in a similar manner and overlay this all with an ego consciousness which further restricts focus to the point of becoming a laser like intensity with mechanical precision. This attitude works very well in a business world but fails miserably when dealing with living biological entities wherein logic is obscured and understanding of 'wholeness' is necessary. The proliferation of “How to ….” books, manuals, papers, etc. attempts to bridge this gap in understanding but how do you objectively deal with subjective states of being like emotions?

IMHO, one releases expectations in a manner similar to dealing with their moods, for me, this involves a change of focus or a diffusion of the thinking into wider scope. It also may involve an honest thoughtful analysis of all those elements contributing to ones expectations and identifying small intermediate experiences which can contribute to meeting the larger expectation. I think you have already taken this latter approach with your statement - It is interesting isn't it that engaging the Aneros leads one to look for any little signal which in itself is interesting and exciting.” Focusing and enjoying all those “interesting and exciting” smaller elements without dwelling on Super-O thoughts will allow them to build into something bigger without triggering frustration.
  • thanks for the great insight - i am going to focus but enjoy!
  • Well it finally happened yesterday. After lots of work, focus and letting myself go I actually experienced what I believe to be a whole series of mini-o's. These were very interesting because much to my surprise they were not sexual in character. They were very exciting and pleasurable but not overtly sexual. They were intense and multiple. Probably eight or ten together then a quiet period and then 8 or 10 more. All of this was quite draining physically but wonderful. I sure am looking forward to my next episode. Thanks to all who helped get me along the path to at least a start. Btw when all this was over I just had to masturbate and did so with great gusto and ejaculation. Just felt it was the right thing to do.

    Excellent boldover333!!! :D :D :D

It was great to meet and chat in the recent Open Chat here. Rumel's great guidance here is spot on. Your wonderful leap forward yesterday has your system expressing its potential through the initial rewiring that was being accomplished through those seemingly "too little" sensations. There may well be more of that subtle work yet to come for you, as for all of us, as each step forward takes many frames in the film to be neurologically accomplished and we all run at our own unique film speed, ie. some faster than others, and you are faster than many at the rate you are going!!! :D

In this practice, in a real sense, the best is always yet to come! We should never say, "well, that's it then." Never conceptually limit your possibilities in this practice, even when you have become more advanced or even an adept. That is why "Have no expectations!" is good advice to all, that applies to practitioners at every level, rather than anyone being "those" at the "the end", on some pinnacle, pontificating. This is your/our journey without end.

all the best openness to the unending possibilities of all
