Very short session. Tomasheen.

I have just had a very short session. Fifteen minutes! Lubed up and inserted. Rested about two minutes and it started. Gentle waves of pleasure building up and up. This was, and always is , accompanied by an increasingly hard erection. All very nice? Yes. But then after a few more minutes, the erection continues and the waves cease. Then, when the erection dies down, the waves don't return. I have often continued but to no avail. They don't come back. So I give up. Time and time again I feel let down. I will have another go in an hour or so and I know the pattern will be repeated. Why do the waves stop and is the erection the problem? Has my wiring gone wrong? It is so frustrating and a let down. I could really enjoy these pleasure waves for so much longer as they are akin to little orgasms. Maybe I am demanding too much of my body. I don't know but suggestions would be very welcome. Thanks to all you wonderful people out there. Tomasheen. xx

I used to have this problem. I didn't at first, then after about a month of using the aneros, it started doing this.

I got really frustrated and the only thing that worked is I kind of gave up. After I gave up for a few days, I would come back, and the same thing, but over time, soon this went away.

In hindsight, I think it's because I had expectations. The fact that you get frustrated means that you aren't letting it happen.

It sounds crazy, but the measurement of you being frustrated means you won't feel anything. You can't get frustrated if you want to continue feeling it.

So how the heck do you not get frustrated? Well, for me it was finally I "let go" and said "Screw it, I'll just put it in, and if nothing happens, fine."...

The more I let go of the idea that I would be frustrated that it isn't going to work, the more it worked.

The whole thing is a "paradox" in how you use the thing.

The Aneros is like your best friend and your worst enemy at the same time. You have to "look away" for it to approach you, and only if it's close enough can you finally "look at it" without it fleeing away. Even then you can only look for a short time, otherwise, it'll flee again.

It's the most annoying wonderful thing in the world.

Hey Tomasheen, I've had this problem as well. For me I'll go through cycles of erections and waves of O's before the pleasure begins to fizzle out. Seems like 20-30 minutes is when it starts to die out. But sometimes I can "wait it out" and 10-20 minutes later I'll randomly get hit by more waves. I'm like you though in that for me the pleasure begins very quickly into my session. Starting to look like people respond in several different ways to the aneros. There's the types like us, then there's the types that it takes 20-30 minutes for relaxation before the pleasure begins... but it lasts for hours when it does.

You're a pal Billy. It's so helpful to know others have similar problems. Thanks. Tomasheen

    Tomasheen:
I have written here of the same issues, with the best part of every session being the first 20-30 min. After a couple of years, that is still sometimes the case. Over time, I have undergone many changes in my sessions and now don't often have a session where I can't enjoy pleasure for as long as I want to continue. Still no orgasm yet, but much pleasure. I wouldn't get hung up on the erection as that has little or nothing to do with the orgasm. I would usually find that peaks in my p-waves would be accompianied with an erection and have felt that that is not a good thing. In my last few good sessions, I experienced p-waves and had no erection whatsoever. I take this to be another change in my journey and I feel a sign of continued progress.
One thing that has worked well for me over time, is as the pleasure quiets down, I change models. Generally within each session I will use at least three models, always ending with the progasm, which for me gives the greatest pleasure.
You do sound frustrated, and I have been there as well, and certainly still am to a small extent as I am ever so close to the big O. Learning to enjoy what is given to you might ease the frustration and help you to the next level.
best of luck with your journey

Been grinding away at this for seven months now with one big O a month ago out of the blue which I can't seem to reproduce. For me as well, if anything is going to happen it's in the first few minutes with basically nothing past about 20 minutes. Without trying to force anything on my part, the sequence and responses in my sessions have become very consistent.

Lube and insert (a warmed Eupho is my favorite), lie on my back with knees up, slowly breathing and completely relaxed, and "listen" intently for a few minutes for small fluttering anal sphincter twitches which invariably start. Then I add a very slight anal "pulling in" contraction to amplify these flutters a couple minutes till they're about as strong as I can get them by doing so, usually at which point a warm sensation develops that feels like semen building up under pressure in my pelvis. Then adding wispy, light touches to my nipples sends almost electrical-like tingles down to my prostate and causes the fastest, hardest erection you can imagine to occur, during which time the anal flutters rapidly intensify and become accompanied by a mild involuntary "pushing out" rectal contraction. At this point in the sequence, if it's a good session, the warm semen building-up pressure sensation in my pelvis grows stronger and starts to enter my penis and, in the case of the one big O I had, went all the way down my penis to where it felt like it was pouring out my urethra with the hottest, most intense orgasmic penile sensation I could ever describe and which lasted continuously for over five minutes (though I was completely dry throughout the process).

Other sessions that have come close have brought a similar though milder sensation that only entered my penis partially. Whether my one big O or my other "come close" sessions, the sensations (as well as the erection) gradually lost intensity and died away at about 20 minutes post-insertion irrespective of how intensely I stimulated my nipples or how many times I reproduced the anal flutters/involuntary rectal contraction cycle (which I can continue to do right on), and adding stronger voluntary anal contractions only seemed to kill the feelings faster.

Erections are said to be unnecessary and for many guys unrelated to prostate orgasms, but in my case each time the orgasmic or near orgasmic sensation has occurred, it was in the same sequence immediately following that super hard erection that came with light nipple stimulation. I never touch my penis and never masturbate with a session; I'm married, straight, and Christian and don't do porn or even arouse myself sexually for a session--it's more of a meditative and relaxation related process for me, "listening" very intently to the unique feelings produced by my body.

This is a great thread going here guys and I've enjoyed reading your experiences. Hopefully we can develop and share more specifics here that will help each other get where we want to with this. I'd sure love to get to the point I could more consistently produce what I experienced that one time a month ago. It was the coolest thing since first discovering my sexual functions at age 13.
