Hi there my prostate has been sore lately, i have been getting pains in my abdominal area this has been going on for about three weeks now because i keep using the aneros everytime i do i feel a little bit of discomfort but usually not much pain, i have decide to stop using it now until next
thursday or until the discomfort stops, i am very hessitant about going to the GP because i stick quiet a few other things up there, every now and then, and things seem pretty loose up there, i just dont want the doctor sticking his finger in there and finding out how much room there is if you know what i mean.

Because most guys are pretty tight up there and the doctor will probably get a shock and i dontwant
to have to answer any awkward or embaressing questions, i have no trouble whatsoever inserting the aneros in my rectum anus, it goes in striaght away and i dont consider myself gay i just like sticking large things in my ass.

I have not found any blood from my anus, i do have a bit of pain and discomfort in my abdomen and it feels like some of the pain is coming from around my bladder and my intestines or something, most of the time i dont notice this discomfort, i have kept using the aneros since this has happened and experience a bit of discomfort during my sessions i cant help myself from using it. It has been two days now since i have last used my progasm, so no more until the issue is resolved.

But now i have decided to stop using it until like next thursday and see if the pain goes away, i can feel the discomfort in my anus when i move around a bit, and today i went to the toilet and i had a fair bit of pain for an hour or two afterwards, it probably has not healed because i keep using my various prostate massagers doh and also i have put my other toys up there too which i dont use that often and there was no blood on them.

So what do you guys think i should do go to the doctor, or wait and hold off on using my aneros?
I would not mind going to the doctor if things where not soo loose up there if you know what i mean and i would show him the aneros anyways.

This is a no brainer -- go see your doctor. If you don't feel you can trust him, find a different one.

    repeat: go to doctor.

embarrassment is NOT a reason to avoid medical attention.

doctors see every form of human idiosyncrasy. it is true your doctor might suggest that you stop this practice. then you will have to choose between your desire and your health. those of us who have seen a few decades clock by know the answer to that one: choose your health!

think long term. i have no idea, but, if i was sticking large things up my butt i would *definitely* want to know what the risks of that are. i can promise you that you do not want to be incontinent when you reach age 50, even though that may seem to you like an eternity from now.

  • Just incase you need one more opinion to get u to ur GP then here it is: GO!

You could always find a specialist or have ur GP recommend one that way things might be less uncomfortable since if necessary you might never have to see that specialist again.

    thecritta,

‘gm501’ and ‘darwin’ are absolutely correct on this point. This is no time to be modest when your health and well being are at risk. Even if your doctor is prone to being judgmental (which he/she probably is not), he/she will act professionally to help you get back to normalcy as quickly as possible. Please set up your visit as quickly as you can. There is the distinct possibility the discomfort you are experiencing is totally unrelated to your anal play activities (do you still have your appendix?). As such you need NOT go into detail about the toys you use.

    thecritta-

i am not sure i agree with rumel that you don't need to mention what your rectum has been experiencing. i think it is possibly relevant, and so should be mentioned. unless, of course, the doc identifies an independent cause, like rumel mentioned (appendix).

    thecritta & Darwin,
In my statement “…you need NOT go into detail about the toys you use.” I meant to imply that extended discussion of the types and sizes of anal devices employed was not necessary unless the doctor makes specific inquiry. I think it would be appropriate to mention use of toys. A simple statement such as “Incidentally doctor, I also, on occasion, use anal toys for erotic effect.” will suffice, if the doctor feels it is important he/she will make further inquiries. I did not intend that you should withold potentially pertinent information from your physcian.

Does this mean i wont be able too use the aneros anymore? I was thinking about giving up using
my larger toys as though i have kind of lost interest in using them now im thinking about having hetrosexual relationship with a woman and leaving large things out of my ass altogether.

    thecritta,

I am glad to hear you are no longer experiencing any pain. It is possible you were suffering from a mild intestinal or bladder infection and your body has now overcome the infection and healed itself. It is also possible your use of toys caused some internal bruising, in which case you would not see any blood but you would experience discomfort in normal bowel movements until the bruising healed itself. I would recommend you refrain from using any toys for a week to 10 days and see how things go. If any pain or discomfort returns during this time you should definitely seek medical attention. Any introduction of foreign objects into the rectum carries with it certain inherent risks, the decision regarding use of anal toys is up to you alone. Each of us faces that same decision every time we choose to use these toys, play safe and be gentle with yourself. Your prostate can not tolerate intense manipulation, the gentle approach is my advice to get your prostate to purr with pleasure.

Hello there since i last time i posted here i went to GP and told him that i had a sore rectum
and i told him i used toys for erotic effect, and he asked me if any of the toys i used where rigid or firm and i wasnt sure so i said yes because on of my toys is quiet firm, i have not used my larger toys since posting this information, he put on a glove and checked my sphincter for swelling incase there was any swelling from an infection and found none and gave me a prescription for antibiotics
just incase there was an infection, he didnt say not to use the toys so in the past nine days
i have used it twice the first time there was only a little bit of discomfort, and then earlier on tonight i used it for a while and it was sore and still is afterwards, i love my blue aneros progasm and cant stand not using it for more than a week, i hate this problem i dont understand why it hasnt healed yet a few days a go it felt like i was almost healed but now it feels like i am back at the start again
i just want this problem to heal and go away so i can safely use my aneros again safely, everytime
i think about the potential pleasure and ecstacy it can bring me like a super O even though i havent had one yet i have had smaller long less powerful ones, because i usually have trouble becoming or keeping very sexually aroused because i have some issues with self image self esteem and sexual confidence i am a 25 year old male virgin having trouble meeting and finding some woman who is interested in me it makes it harder because i dont have too many friends i have a few who rarely ever want to go out or do anything because they are just too busy, and since i am a recovering alcoholic who goes too A.A i cant get involved in places with friends where there is drinking involved the only times i go around drinking is for familt things, i dont drive live with my grandmother who i get on alright with get paid on the dole, i am trying to look for work with a place called bea brunswick employment agency once a week but no job interviews yet, trying to get a job trying to get a girlfriend and trying to get to a super O all have one thing in common you have to keep trying.

Anyways i thought about tried masturbating a few times but it just doesnt do it for me i need more like the pleasure of having sex with a woman or anal masturbation with my aneros super O where are you "damn not there" i dont know what to do where it feels like i have to stop using for a whole month or something for god sakes, everytime i dont use it and start thinking about it too much i manage to manipulate and convince myself to use it, i prefer to not masturbate and keep whatver sexual energy i have for my aneros, i can sometimes go without thinking about hardly at all and have no sexual desire for a few days or like two weeks and not masturbate or do any sexual activity
this is really abnormal i have sexual confidence issues and a little bit of physical self image
problem which i can sometimes overcome, and get my sex drive back working again only for a while before something happens and i start too loose what i have gained and then have very low sex drive
again. i dont know what too do if it try using it again it just might make it sore but then if i dont try using it i cant tell really tell if it's sore or not what should i do? Sorry about the long post. :( :(

I wonder if you might be a little up tight about your previous negative experiences--maybe afraid they will happen again or worse. At the same time you might be a bit caught up in what "should" be happening or "could" happen if "I were doing it right." Why not just relax. Take a, "oh hell, I will just let it happen." I do not know that this attitude will help you, but it has me, and for that reason I offer it for whatever it is worth.

    thecritta,

I am glad you chose to see a doctor and have started a process of treatment and healing. From your post, it sounds like the doctor was satisfied there is nothing serious to be concerned about physically or he would have asked for further tests. It seems to me you need to allow more time for your body to heal itself before engaging in ANY anal play for awhile. Perhaps give yourself 2-3 weeks of anal abstinence before trying again.

Really good advice from rumel, an expert. I too suggest that you follow it.

Hey thecritta sounds like a tough time - my sympathies. As for the pain...yeah take it easy...make sure you have plenty of lube. Don't put anything in too large - you have to take care of yourself. Give it some time, but you may want to return to the Dr. Perhaps it is something else related to prostate or whatever. Doc should may do a urinalysis and blood work, etc. It could be something completely unrelated to your anal play.

As for the women and dates I feel for ya man. I was a virgin until 23 and very shy of women until 20 or so. Basically you have to mentally realize you have to go for it, and no one will do anything for you to help in the way of meeting women except yourself. Make it a project to improve yourself, and your image and find ways to meet and learn to be with women.

You say you don't have much libido and sex drive at times so definitely get your testosterone levels checked. My guess is you may be low. Increasing those with something like Androgel should help. Tribulus is a natural herb that can also help...along with Ginseng. There are others.

Slap yourself. Stop being alcoholic and decide to be a health nut. Start working out a lot...running, biking and weights are recommended. Read on the net for tips in meeting women and non verbal signs etc. Make a point of going places where women are. When you are there make a point of talking to some. Don't worry how the outcome is. The more you try the better you get. Make conversation about anything such as asking them if the ring they are wearing is a wedding ring even if you know it isn't. I also learned it is like fishing. It's a numbers game. Just like in fishing the more times you cast your line in the water the better chance you have to catch. Many won't bite and many will get away, but eventually you will hit it. Oh, make sure you work on your appearance and reinvent it if necessary. Try and determine how you look to others and what you feel you need or should look like. Next - join some clubs and social organizations and be socially active such as a hobby. That's a great way to meet them when doing similar interests. Make a point of asking them to lunch or dinner for - for a drink. Granted you are alcoholic and so that is tough. It's a bit tough without alcohol as it can break the ice...but know your limitations. Don't drink if it will cause a problem for you. Make working out your new vice. The energy and endorphans will also help you meet women - plus they all like physically active guys. Good luck.
