    Hi,

I read a blog about some guy saying that going back to his smaller Helix, after trying his newer larger Progasm felt like he had inserted a toothpick in comparison. So I guess his anus is wider.

Does this mean it is damaged? More contractable/flexible etc? Will it still be tight enough to hold waste til you want to poo on purpose? Will pooing be like opening the doors of a castle, where poo just flies out in one big splash seen as its so wide?

    Hello again MyTurn,

Please don't take offense... But let me get this out of my system before I answer your questions.

    LMAO!!!!

That sounds like my Blog. Thanks for reading it. :D
As funny as your questions were to read, they are entirely valid.
So don't feel bad for asking.

I can assure you that everything still functions normally as it should. The anus loosens up from having something larger pushed in it. But it is only temporary. How long before it goes back to normal, I have no idea. I can tell you that after I remove my Progasm, and sit on the toilet to get any excess lube and whatever else out of my rectum. I still have to push like normal.

I think if guys anuses were leaking poop from Progasm use, you'd hear about it here in the forums. As I understand it, it is actually quite the opposite of stretching or weakening the anal muscles. You are strengthening them through doing anal contractions, whether voluntary or involuntary.

Does this mean it is damaged? More contractable/flexible etc?

Nope definitely not damaged. Although I can see how it would be easy to hurt your anus on insertion of the Progasm with insufficient lube, improper insertion technique(Did this the first time), and most importantly your anus muscles not being relaxed enough. I'm not sure that the anus actually becomes more flexible. It could be to a certain extent. But it seems to me that learning how to properly relax the anus muscles is more the key to being able to insert things in there with little to no discomfort.

I think that answers it all.
Just post back here if you have other questions.

Hmm I will add that since I've started to use the aneros that I"m more "loose" than I used to be. My girl friend notices as well in that when she puts her finger in there that it's much easier to do and I can "take" it much better as well (It used to be much more painful and uncomfortable). Could just be that I'm more relaxed with things going in there so it feels to me and her that it's looser. Plus I rarely have aneros sessions anymore(my new job I work 12+ hours a day :-( so it can't be from using the aneros alot.
Hmm anybody else here notice this. I feel sometimes that the reason I had early success with the aneros was because how tight I was and now that I feel it's looser it seems harder to get results.

    MyTurn,

This issue of permanent widening of the anal opening has been asked before and to my knowledge no one has claimed to have lost control of their bowels due to Aneros usage. (see) Butt plugs can cause permanent stretching of the anal opening but none of the Aneros models is of sufficient girth to cause this kind of damage to the average sized man.

My experience is somewhat like that reported by ‘Billy11’, namely, experienced usage brings a certain automatic level of relaxation to the anal area, hence, the feeling of “looseness”.
On the other hand, experienced usage also elicits better muscle control, strength, tone and endurance, which I believe actually leads to increased bowel control.

So don’t worry, use of your new Aneros massager won’t lead to IED’s (Impending Explosive Defecation).

I have noticed that my poop diameter has increased 26% since I began using the aneros. But conversely, my average poo session has decreased in time by 64%. Go figure... But seriously- I only fear one thing from the use of my aneros. When it comes time for a prostate exam, the doctor is going to KNOW that I have some anal play experience!!! He will surely think I'm gay....-bi the way I'm not! except for that one time in college, but I was in an experimental stage...umm...i've said too much...lol.

There is an upside to having a larger 'hole. It's like a built in muffler. I fart in public all the time now without fear! All my farts are now silent....but deadly!

As other have explained in previous threads I believe butt plugs and similar which are actually larger than your normal anal opening would most likely cause any stretching or tearing enlargement issues. Most Aneros models are fairly small. The Progasm is a bit larger but it isn't overly large to cause a permanent enlargment I don't believe particularly since the end closest the sphincter is smaller. The Peridise is very small and is supposed to help in hemorrhoid health.

From my experience (now substantial) with all models pretty much and I have noticed no widening or inability to close. Actually the exact opposite is true. My sphincter now is like a vice grip and most of my hemorrhoids have diminished or gone away. I believe the Aneros causes the muscles to be worked and exercised which should help eliminate any incontinence issues. So, basically the opposite of your concern should be true. Aneros / Peridise use in my opinion will improve your anal health or any leakage / incontinence problems.
