    folks-

those of us who were on the thread about the video showing a man having multiples received a PM from support explaining that while this is an open forum, they do not promote products that infringe on their patent, and so deleted that thread.

i fully agree that support should feel free to do that (of course they can do whatever they want as they own this forum).

however, i would like to understand better why the device in the video is infringing on the patent.

i have read the patent and the core of it is a device that is shaped like the aneros and uses anal sphincter contractions to drive the motion.

the device in the video was shaped like the aneros in that it has a rectal arm and a perineum arm. however it was driven by a vibrator.

to me that seemed like a clever vibrator design that applies vibration to two sensitive spots, the prostate and perineum, but is not the aneros design or concept.

it may be the case that the judgment support made was more a competitive one than an infringement one. i would understand that and if it were so would just ask support to be clear on their reasoning.

    so maybe support can clarify.

  • I though it was pretty clear.
They know there are lots of products that can get you off just as well as the Aneros and they don't want to advertise for the competition.

I don't think that Support is making any judgment on the efficacy of other products on the market. (But frankly, having bought a lot of junk myself, in the past, my standard opinion is that they WON'T get you off).

The truth is that we're coming to a point where there are numerous "knock-off" products out there. Regardless of whether there is a vibrator incorporated into the device or not, if the conformation of the device is similar...an abutment arm, a body for insertion and a handle, they have every right to protect their design patent. Honestly, I think they would be foolish not to do so. Protection has many layers, the very least of which is prohibiting the promotion of these products on their own site.

I must point out that there has been wide latitude given here for the discussion about many other products however. Such products may have been competing, in that they offered prostate stimulation, but did not overtly resemble the Aneros in form or in manner of function.

  • I can't blame them for not wanting to promote other products.
I love the sharing of ideas here and reading how people are wired differently and reading others stories of successes and failures.
Thats why I wish this forum was on a neutral site because my standard opinion is that the aneros is not the only game in town.

My modified Helix and Progasms are two of my favorites but I like some other brands just as well.

As the owner of a small business myself, I believe that they have the right to make those decisions. Patent/Copyright/Trademark infringement is a very sensitive legal issue, and better for everybody involved if they err on the side of caution. I'm sure they have some lawyers advising them on what specifically they should and shouldn't allow on this site.

    Hey Guys,

As the originator of the thread in question, I felt compelled to comment.

I have to say, I am disappointed that support found it necessary to remove the video from this forum. I understand their reasoning, I don't appreciate other companies ripping off their patent (that's why I explicitly referred to the product in question as a rip-off in my post and was careful not to name it specifically) either. But I think this was a case of "cutting off their nose to spite their face."

Is it just me, or has this community as a whole been crying out for the past couple years for a video that demonstrates even the slightest example of what male multiple orgasms look like? Especially those which can be achieved with the Aneros? Am I the only guy here has been disappointed time and again by posts claiming to have "Super-O Videos" that turned out to be nothing more than up-close (and often unpleasant) shots of the device being inserted followed by ejaculation? Was I the only one here who wanted to see something that was both convincing and aesthetically pleasing to watch?

OK, so the guy is using a rip-off of the Aneros - doesn't it still provide an extremely convincing demonstration of the kind of pleasures men are capable of enjoying with the Aneros? After all the obnoxious nay-sayers that have come through here accusing the Aneros staff, the product, and even the forum members of being part of some giant scam, I thought it was nice to finally have a little PROOF to show them, and be able to demonstrate at the very least, that men are capable of having multiple orgasms without ejaculation.

Personally, I thought that the value of the video for both Aneros users and manufacturers far outweighed any other issues. Silly me, I even had hopes that it might become a Sticky Thread! That way we'd have something to point to whenever the doubters started barking.

I'm sorry, I just think it's sad that after all these years, for a brief shining moment we FINALLY had something tangible to display, discuss, and compare our experiences with; something that newbies could aspire to and Aneros veterans could comment on. And it didn't even last a week before it was removed. And now we're right back where we started, trying to teach painting classes in the dark.

    SIGH...

But oh well. I guess it wasn't meant to be. I've said my peace. Thanks for listening.

'darwin', 'Hitachi Magic', 'B. Mayfield', 'gravel' and 'Pan',

You have all made good, valid points here regarding the pulling of that thread by Aneros support personel. While I'm not a lawyer, it is my understanding that a patent holder MUST take prudent and reasonable actions to protect and maintain their patent rights, if they do not take such action in the face of known infringement they may actually lose legal standing in future defense of their patent, Thus, from a legal standpoint, if they (Aneros) let the thread knowingingly remain with its reference to a potential patent infringement device, a court might interpret that as passive acceptance of the infringement, thereby mitigating any actionable decree the Aneros company might wish to pursue. So it makes total sense for them to pull the thread, from that point of view.

    On the other hand...

The Aneros company states in their promotional literature (see Description - 'The New Male Orgasm' "... long lasting multiple orgasms can be achieved as many times as desired." Pan's argument about an informative video showing a man experiencing multiple orgasms is certainly an appropriate graphic demonstration of evidence for this Forum and as such should remain available to members to see and evaluate for themselves as well as being a discussion topic upon which we can all expand.

The simple solution, it seems to me, to this conflict of interests would be for the Aneros support personel to either find and make available a similar video using the Aneros device or actually produce their own video (which they could copyright), possibly incorporating it into a training/teaching video they could then also sell on their web site. It would be a win-win solution for us all. Just my thoughts, for what they're worth.

ok, i think the various explanations about the justifiability of yanking the possibly infringing device make sense.

pan, no it is not just you. it is fucking pathetic that we don't have a video.

    Hi rumel,

I just wanted to thank you for offering your point of view on this matter. I was not aware of how strict the conditions were in order for the Aneros Company to maintain their patent. I had thought it was merely an issue of competition, but thanks to your explanation, I now understand why they would have no choice other than to remove the thread in order to protect their rightful claim to the Aneros's unique concept and design.

Of course, I still think it's an unfortunate loss for the community. But I see now that it was necessary. And so I would also like to apologize to Aneros Support for jumping to conclusions about their reasons for removing the thread.

I too, hope that some day soon we'll have full-length, copyrighted, and explicit instructional DVD's for Aneros users, as well as some kind of sample demonstration video on display in the forum.

Until then, I guess we'll just have to keep refining our use of the written word to better convey our advice and experiences to new users.

    Kindest Regards,

Earlier today I posted some comments regarding the removal of the thread featuring a Super O video. As I was in a hurry at the time, getting off to work, I failed to mention several important things.

First, when I initially viewed the video I had no idea about any "knock-off" product being involved, I clicked on the link and checked out the video and that was that. Frankly, as my original comments in the now defunct thread would attest, I too thought it was great to have a sample of a seemingly realistic Super O here....on this site.... that is dedicated to generating Super O's!.

I know that Pan was coming from the best of all possible places with this, and that he was NOT attempting to promote some other device. It just so happened that this video was made using another product...which again I must add, was not apparent in any shape or form from the video itself! Unfortunately, what has happened within the last several years with so many imitators coming out of the woodwork, is that it's lowered the manufacturer's tolerance to this kind of thing.

When I questioned the original notice of the thread's demise, I was told that the video itself was NOT the problem, but that there was a photograph at the top of the page (somewhere) that showed the "knock-off" product. I must confess I never saw it.

If this was the case, the removal was the prudent thing to do. I'm curious however, if anybody has access to the video itself, in some downloadable form as opposed to the kiosk set up that forces people to go to another site and be exposed to the accompanying promotional materials. If it does exist in this form...I for one would like a copy of it.

Regarding a Super O video that features the Aneros. I've had discussions with the manufacturer about this in the past, and I'm certain that they wouldn't discourage users from disseminating videos, i.e. allow users to post links that featured their own product (although I have doubts that they would host them.) The simple fact is that many users are private about such matters. I myself have dabbled with making videos in the past, but ultimately been unhappy or uncomfortable in one way or another with what I came up with. The fact is that as much fun as I have with it, I take the Super O pretty seriously, ....seriously enough that I've wanted to avoid doing anything that doesn't present it properly or worse yet, trivializes it by only pandering to viewer titilation. For me education is the only goal, and I just never been able to come up wth a way to make it stay in line with that.

If anyone has any ideas on this or has videos that they feel comfortable with... let's get it out there!

    Wow Guys!

I don't think anyone here is wrong! No one wants to hurt or offend Aneros in any way, but everyone wants a video series and has for some time!!!

I attempted to locate and download this video with some video extraction software and was unable to and thought I would go back and try again later, because it WAS the first actual (believable) Super-O footage I have seen! (but, it is gone now!)

To tell you the truth, I don't even remember seeing "any" device at all, either in the video or before it???

At any rate, I too have been disappointed time and again from videos all over the web, claiming to be a video of an Aneros induced Super-O!

There has to be someone with decent equipment and a non-offensive frame, that can have Super-O's and would be willing to "anonymously" post the first of a series of amateur videos, to get the ball rolling! (the chick giving a blow-job is optional, of course! LOL!)

Come on you Aneros exhibitionists . . . "Rise to the occasion here!"

    My 2 cents!

    Later, Hlaser

P.S. I would do it myself, and actually have attempted to, but in viewing it, I totally grossed myself out!!! This "definitely" needs someone in decent physical shape to do it!!! (for aesthetics sake!)

As a newbie still trying to get my bearings in all these experiences and vocabulary, that video was very helpful. When I viewed it no device was visible or promoted, as far as I could see. A video with each applicable Glossary term would really make it a lot easier in establishing a common vocabulary.

As a creator with copyrighted materials and having been through the patent process, I'm very sympathetic to the company wanting to protect itself, but I don't believe that I was being sold anything in that video.

Thanks again Pan and everyone here.

    Hey Again,

thanks hlaser for trying to download the video! By the way it *is* still at the same blog site. All you have to do is scroll down a bit to where it says:

"Multiple Orgasm Video Has Changed Locations" and click the link.

I wish I could be clearer than that, but obviously I don't want to cause any trouble here.

The only part of the device that I can see in the video is the wire-attached control box for the vibrator. It's black in color and resting on his lower left side. You can see him adjust it a couple times. But it's so subtle, it's barely noticeable. At first, I even thought it was just a tube of lubricant or something. Other than, there's nothing in the actual video to tip off what, if anything, he's using. That's the main reason why I thought it would be OK to post the link to begin with. It's just a really solid demonstration of male multiple orgasms in general.

Artform, I'm so glad to hear that you found the video helpful. After all, it's the newbies I had in mind when I posted it. I just think the sooner we have genuine Super-O video demonstrations that we can all observe and refer to, the easier it will be for us veteran practitioners to give advice and for newbies to get the general idea of what we've been describing all these years without needing to read thread after thread in an attempt to fully grasp the experience.

I guess the important thing to remember is if one guy made a decent video with a cheap knock-off, then surely it won't be long before someone else makes one at least as good using the Aneros.

As long as we keep looking, it's bound to surface eventually...

    Thanks Pan.

Interesting about that black box controller... I assumed that it was controlling his video camera and sound levels. Certainly did not seem to be a device being "sold" to us in the video presented on this site.

Yes, once you go to the site where the video originated, which I have just done again to be sure, there is a link to another site for the competitive device, and to that 2nd or 3rd degree of separation, the deletion decision seems justified.

Let's get making some Aneros-based videos, please!

How bout someone here on this forum post a vid of themselves having multiple/super-O's using the aneros...? Then it would be benificial to the aneros product as well as show the "real" possibilities of the male multiple/super-O's using the aneros. Any takers? I would but have only achieved the super-O in one session so far not to mention I don't have a video camera. Seems to me though that alot of the pleasure from the aneros couldn't be portayed through a video. It's something that needs to be felt to really get it.
