Hello All! This would be my first post!

I'm pretty new to the whole male-sex toy scene. I've been dating the same girl for about 9 months, but we have a pretty platonic relationship together, and I don't see myself losing my virginity unless I either marry her or break up with her before I go to college. We're going to different colleges. I want to stay with her but also take care of my "needs". I'm very tired of masterbating, and I want to finally go ahead and buy myself something that stimulates me and really takes care of my sexual needs, since my girlfriend isn't doing that.

At first I was considering the Fleshlight, but it seems expensive, and I don't really know how I'd feel about using it...

But then I found the Aneros. This seems like a perfect sex-toy for me, it stimulates the prostate bringing upon great orgasms, and from what I read in this forum it's an extremely effective tool for what it does, and, it keeps my prostate in check (although I think my prostates health is fine :P).

I found a sex-store near my house which sells the Aneros Helix for a modest price of about $90 CDN. I'm probably going to go buy one, but before I do I thought I'd consult this forum. I'm still not totally comfortable with anal protrusions, I've experimented in the past and it's a feeling I definitely enjoy, however I think I'll just get used to it, I don't mind it, it's just a new feeling. As an 18-year old, I'm sure there are things still growing inside of me, and I don't want to upset any natural processes or offset any balances my body is trying to maintain. Would buying and using the Aneros Helix have any drawbacks for me, and 18-year old virgin?

Thanks! I'll be checking this thread often. I don't think I'll go and buy one until I've read some responses.

PS-On a side note, the same store also sells a sort of vibrating prostate massager for a cheaper price. It's called the Doc Johnson Pleasure Wand For For Men. Here's a picture.

Also, the same store sells prostate massagers by Nexus, for also cheaper. I don't know what to think! There's so many massagers to choose from.

    Hi Fluflu,

Welcome to the Forum, I need to preface my response to your post by telling you I'm a 60 yr. old divorced, heterosexual currently in a long term committed relationship with a very loving lady, so I can say I've been experiencing sex for a good number of years. I am a bit conflicted in how I would like to respond to you, I want to encourage you inquisitiveness and desire to explore your own sexuality, but I also want to caution you about potential traps that can lead to emotional/relationship problems.

One area of concern you expressed was possible negative physical effects of the Helix (I have and use this model), it is unlikely that your internal organs are going to develop much more at your age, so as long as you were to use the Aneros in accord with the manufacturers instructions, there is not likely to be any detrimental physical effects. However, the other sex toys you mentioned, while they will indeed provide sexual stimulation, may also injure you if not carefully handled. You are still quite young and not fully aware of limitations and capabilities of your body when it comes to sexual matters, but I know you will be learning quickly once you start living the college experience. The next couple of years are critical to forming attitudes that you are likely to carry forward through the rest of your life regarding sex, there is no need to rush yourself through that learning process. Traditional masturbation techniques can serve you just fine in satisfying your "needs".

Before you purchase the Aneros, I would like to caution you that psychically the Aneros has the potential to profoundly alter your world view of sexuality, especially since you are inexperienced with normal male/female sexual/social interactions. The Aneros massager can become an addictive activity that at your level of maturity may be difficult to cope with. My intuition suggests that you may benefit more from the Aneros by holding off from the purchase now, and wait until you've lost your virginity and have acquired more of life's traditional sexual experiences. Sex toys can be really fun devices when used as an adjunct to normal healthy sexual relationships, but if they become the focus of one's sexual satisfaction it is likely to damage the emotional bonds created by the intimate sexual activity between loving couples.

I would like you to contemplate your motivations for obtaining this or any sex toy. The decision is obviously up to you, there are pros and cons for either choice, I hope your decision works well for you.

If you do decide to go ahead and purchace the Helix, I would recommend that you first read the Sticky posts written by B.Mayfield titled "B's Keys to the Backdoor" & "B's Best of hte BEE-Line", additionally read the Sticky titled "GLOSSARY" by 'darwin'. There is a wealth of essential information contained within those threads. That information is going to save you a great deal of time during your learning process should you decide to enter the Aneros users journey, plus they will answer a good number of questions you are likely to ask.

Good Vibes to You, whichever choice you make!

I do mostly agree with you there, but unfortunately not everyone is going to get a girl/guy. Due to a variety of reasons (I.e Being overweight, not outgoing and sociable. or being shy) And in the end, masturbation just dosent cut it anymore.

Unfortunately, it was like that for me. Im still a virgin and im 22. But circumstances (being underconfident, shy and not very sociable) have ensured that i stay single.
After killing the joys of masturbating from over doing it (even exploring new tecniques, which work a few times) I had to find somthing new.
And that is where the Aneros came in, and i havent looked back since.

To the Topic poster: If you are strong, outgoing and able to get into a relationship, then i STRONGLY URGE you to take Rumel's advice and hold off.
You are young, and the Aneros wouild send the wrong message, as the lure of a full body orgasm is strong and adictive.
But if you are like me, and dont hold much hope in yourself, then you might aswell go for it.

Edit:Just read that your with a girl. Well you are best, holdding off the Aneros then. But its up to you.

i agree that the aneros may be more than you want to get into at this stage. although if it is what you want, go for it.

you might reconsider the fleshlight which, if you choose the right model, can help train you to be able to have intercourse without coming too quickly which is often a challenge for young guys, being able to sustain intercourse will make you a hero in the eyes of any women who lets you through the gate.

:D GO FOR IT. I am a bit older than you & wish I had known about Aneros at your age. Learn about & enjoy your body, its a gift that is too awesome not too learn. Read more about each aneros before you decide because I ended up buying the progasm as my 1st aneros recently & I am very pleased with the slightly larger & the full feeling inside of me it gives. I will try to explain ok. If you can & like putting your finger inside your anus the progasm is less in size than 2 times your mid finger. After a few times it just feels so easy as it slides inside me & within seconds is rubbing my prostate to a nice feeling, at least in my case. No I have not experinced the Big O that I have read about on the forum, but I certainly have experinced something new & nice that I can not explain. After about 30 minutes of the nice feelings that are so new to me & so much pre-cum dripping out I can not help myself to stop being on my knees on my bed & masterbateing with my progasm inside me as I shoot more cum than I ever have before. I do not have a girlfreind or boyfriend right now but I can bet haveing intercouse with a aneros inside you would only be so much better as you explode in sexual wonder. SO YEA GO FOR IT. Do not waste money on vibrators like I did that do not come even close to the aneros. I will admit I did not try some designed specifically for prostate massage, all I can say is I very pleased with my progasm.

A lot of older guys may say WAIT & learn life or your body. They are so very wrong, enjoy your body now, at 18 your prostate will be fully developed, why should you not enjoy it ??? Im my opinion now that I have this experience I am confident that in the very near future more & more younger males will learn about the aneros & also about the male G-spot that can feel so good & that has lots to do with the internet & info available. Would the aneros or any new great sexual device or advice been available 10 years ago? It will not make you change as a person, it will only help you learn & enjoy what you should enjoy, yourself.

Thanks everybody for the responses! I didn't expect such seasoned forum posters to respond to my post :P

I've taken what rumel and darwin have posted into context, but also what canadian has posted, it's very difficult for me to contrast these points of view on this subject. All that matters to me is feeling good, at the moment. I'm in a very "lightly" sexual relationship, there is no intercourse but a lot of foreplay, nothing that really satisfies me, but perhaps that may change this summer now that school is over :)

I'm still going to take some time and think about this, I'd imagine having sex and using an Aneros bring upon very different orgasms, and I'm not sure I'm quite ready for a full-body orgasm yet. I'd very much like to experience one, just, not sure if I'm ready. I guess I need more time to think..

Side question: What's the difference between the Helix and the Progasm? If I do decide to buy one, should I go for the Progasm? Since its bigger I'd imagine it delivers faster results.
