Weird experience
  • Hi Everyone,

I've had my Aneros for roughly a month now with not a whole lot of success, I'm finding there are new little sensations every time I use the Aneros but I had the most odd experience today without the Aneros.

I was on my way home from work and while driving I was planning my Aneros session for the evening, I stopped at a red light and all of a sudden got an extremely hard erection and it felt like I was going to cum right there, I had to stop it from happening as the light turned green so obviously this was not the time or place to explore exactly what was going on otherwise I probably would have wound up in the back end of another vehicle.

When I got home, if I relaxed I could bring some sensations on but not to the point like when I was driving. A few hours later I started up my Aneros session, had some good feeling for the first 15 minutes but then everything faded completely, I tried for a while to get things going again with no success.

Suffice to say, what happend on the way home and my disappointing Aneros session have left me very confused. I'm having a hard time understanding how or why something could start out of the blue like it did and when I'm using the Aneros the feelings I get are not even remotly close to what happend while I was driving home.

If anyone has some insight as to what may have happend, it would be great to hear your thoughts.

I also have one small question, since using my Aneros I don't think I've experienced any involuntaries, to give me a frame of reference, I would appreciate if someone could describe an involuntary contraction.

    Thanks

    Taurus,

Sounds very familiar! I have also had a Helix for about a month. By the way, which Aneros do you have?

In most part, I am getting my most interesting experiences without the Aneros. These include "waves" running thru my body especially just after falling asleep (without the Aneros) or in a relaxed mode during the day. Others have explained this is part of the rewiring process. It is odd though that they occur without the Aneros.

And, in most part, no involuntaries in my case. And, yes, what the heck are involuntaries? I really wondered the same thing. I have had shaking and limited muscle activity in the lower body. In the last few days, I have had a small set of more significant involuntary muscle contractions in the lower body. Almost uncontrolled kicking...not shaking.

Are you relaxed during the Aneros session? Trying too hard during the session with harder contractions? Were you relaxed in the car the other day? Relaxation seems to be key. When my waves occur, I am truly relaxed (about to fall asleep, asleep, on the sofa, etc)

I'll trade you one of your hard-ons for two of my waves. Interesting how each person's trip is different. But, take the erection as a good signpost along the way. More will definitely come.

Let us know how you progress.

    Taurus,

Your experience in the car is typical of what I've referred to in the past as "rewiring", and as Tripper has said...it is a good sign (albeit a little disconcerting at a traffic light) ! I have long maintained that the capacity for this alternate pathway lies dormant in us all. So to some extent this is the body becoming aware of itself....it is an "awakening" if you will. Generally this kind of response is seen when one is less cognitively engaged in making it happen. So it is with the Super O. Passivity is very often the space within which it occurs.

What is an involuntary? This refers to the involuntary contraction of the anal sphincter. It may be perceived as a twitching of your anus. These contractions may be induced as a result of the massaging action of the Aneros or from a variety of other stimuli (mental focus, directed breathing, nipple stimulation, visualization, erotica, the Key Sound Method...etc.). Such contractions may be accompanied by pleasure waves or not. In my some of my initial posts I alluded to involuntaries as being precursors to the Super O. Where this may indeed be the case for some, it is by no means the rule.

In my own case, very few of my Super O's are preceeded by involuntaries anymore. So my advice to all is to avoid getting hung up on generating involuntaries. The better path is to follow sensation and see where it takes you. Answer any and all sensations that come your way (no matter how small) with a response of your own (subtly). Be observant....heighten your awareness.

Hopefully the next time that you have a spontaneous experience (like the one that you described)....you'll be in a place to be able to respond to it. It will likely happen again....so be open to it.

    Hi Tripper,

I started out with the Helix and in the beginning of September I found a store on ebay that was selling combinations so I purchased the remainder except for the SGX. As of late I've been using the MGX but I've had my best success with the Helix so that's probably where I will be focusing.

Since I was not having much success with my sessions I decided to take a break for about a week, well that didn't happen it actually turned out to be 2 1/2 days, I didn't engage in any kind of sexual activity. Up until yesterday I've never experienced anything without the Aneros, perhaps the rewiring process requires one to take a break as well, I've read a few posts where people have gone for a week without touching their Aneros and had a breakthrough. This was why I tried taking some time off, I must admit though, I didn't think taking a few days off would have such an impact.

I was pretty shocked when something started happening in the middle of traffic because there is nothing relaxing about driving in traffic where I live, our province is in the middle of a boom so people are flocking here and within the first quarter of 2006 over 25,000 people have moved to the large cities within our province so traffic is getting really bad. I was listening to Enya on the way home and that's relaxing but I highly doubt it was relaxing enough to start anything.

I try to get very relaxed when having a session, sometimes I'm so relaxed that I almost fall asleep. In all honesty, I haven't worked too much on contractions because they seem to kill any sensations, one thing I've experimented with recently is going to bed with my Aneros in, this morning I woke up at about 4:30 and was wide awake so for the fun of it I put in my Helix, I had some pretty good results especially when I was about to doze off. I had 2 waves that were more intense than any I've experienced in the past but before the waves came on my abdomen really tightened up, it was very strange. My waves didn't last very long but I did have interesting sensations throughout the session.

Are you sure you want to give up the waves for a hard on, those waves feel pretty good. I seem to always have an erection, if I have a session which doesn't produce any sensations I usually have no erection but when something happens I usually have one, then there are times that it goes up and down like a yo-yo which can be very distracting so my advice would be to stick with the waves. :)

Please keep us posted on your progress as well.

    Thanks

    Hi BF Mayfield,

    Thanks for your input.

I was beginning to wonder if one has to experience the involuntaries in order to achieve any kind of O, the main reason I wanted the information is because I'm having a light throbbing sensation in my anus (it almost feels like a pulse) when I get further into my sessions and wanted to know if this was the involuntaries. I've never experienced anything more than this throbbing sensation.

Based on what I've read in the posts, I've always associated the Super O with the involuntaries because it almost sounded like the rhythm involuntaries produced lead to the Super O and manual contractions are what start involuntaries and since I've never had any kind of involuntaries, I thought that I wasn't progressing, after my recent experiences I'm beginning to see that it can be accomplished without contractions at all.

Do you think the throbbing I'm experiencing sounds like involuntaries or is it something completely different?

    Thanks

I suppose it might be described as a throbbing....yes, but certainly not in an unpleasant sense of the word. Regarding the notion of involuntaries kick-starting a Super O, again, undoubtedly it does occur that way for some users. It did for me for a while as well. But it's important to note that the Super O doesn't depend on it. Far more indicative are a series of P waves increasing in intensity such that one feels a surging, building sensation in the pelvic and abdominal regions.

Waves it is then! This thread is kicking up my anticipation for this evening's session.

A lot of parallels here. I just got my eBay combo special as well. The Maximus seemed to trigger a few good things...including the waves...for me.

Last week I tried to do a forum search on P-waves but did not come up with a lot of info or descriptions. But, whatever I am having it does feel quite good.

Keep posting, I want to see how you progress. You seem to be close. I'll do the same.

  • I am not sure exactly what P waves are refering to either but I can assure you that involuntary contractions as you are probably imagining them are not necissary. The aneros will move inside of you, but it may not seem like it is any sort of contraction causing it. Focus on pleasure not details. If you let yourself, your body will instinctively do what feels good. Pay attention to sensations, any one of them can at any moment turn incredibly pleasurable. Just don't pay to close attention. It is strange, there is a sort of mental disconnect that happens before the super O hits me. I am aware, but not actively there.

    Cagliostro,

Thanks for your interesting inputs. It almost sounds like you leave the voluntary contraction effort behind at some point and go into a "do nothing" approach and let the body and mental attitude take over?

I feel movement but not the large involuntary contractions described in some of the posts.

Would you recommend just mentally letting go and forgetting the even subtle voluntary contractions?

Last night I went into that mode with the Maximus on my stomach and had many "waves" of full body "shuddering" or "buzzing" after going into a do nothing mode ... or, at most, using some very subtle anal contractions at certain points. I wish I knew how to describe what I am having so I can find similar posts and solutions.

I know you have had success in reading your prior posts and I would value your opinion.

    To all,

A P Wave as is generally used in this forum is short for pleasure wave. This is pretty much a generic term that encompasses a lot and is not particularly specific as to source/location, intensity or duration. The basic characteristic that all P waves have in common is that they feel good! It is a sustained increase in frequency, intensity and duration of such waves that often precedes a Super O.

Thanks, Brian, for your help in describing the P-Wave. The "waves" I have DO feel good. And, I am getting more of them in a row now. Maybe I am on the right track!

Now the "Mini-O"? I guess there are some oh so subtle variations between the P-Wave and Mini-O.

A "Super-O" I am guessing that anyone would know when they are in the midst of that experience. Especially when I read the forums and see a thread like "Euphoooooooooooooooh" I can be sure someone surely just had his first Super-O.

Thanks for all your support to me and others.

Good question Tripper. What is the difference between a P-wave and a Mini O?

My guess is that the difference between a Mini O and a Super O is the duration. Once you are able to start connecting Mini O's into something that lasts more than a few seconds, you are on to your Super O. I am sure that there are different opinions of it. It is all good.

    Buster,

    It is all good!

Buster, since you have discovered the super-o, are you now able to go into a super-o each session?

Unlimited duration. Forget the clock kinds of sessions?

Great incentive for the rest of us!

    Hi Cagliostro,

I've noticed the same thing, when I had my session yesterday evening I found on a couple occasions that I just let my mind go and it seemed like I wasn't even there, it's hard to explain the experience but it's as you said, mentally disconnected. It was at that that time my p waves started but I only had 2 waves, the funny thing is that whenever the waves started or anything else for that matter, my mind re-connected. What I found really strange was that I never had any more waves after that but I was constantly having a tingling sensation that was going back and forth between the Aneros's abutment and the anus.

By far, this weekend has been the most interesting since I got my Aneros.

  • I'm a little curious about something, this is mainly directed at the experienced users such as BF Mayfield and Buster. Personally I know to begin with it was pretty frustrating to have a session and nothing happen but I've continued trying and now some interesting things are happening. I'm finding the exploration is one of the things that keeps me coming back but once you've reached the ultimate goal over and over again do you find it diminishes your level of excitememt/anticipation or does each session yield something new besides a darn good feeling?

    Thanks

    Taurus,

First, I should tell you that in my book there's no such thing as a bad orgasm, lol ! I guess what I'm saying is that I've always tried to enjoy everything that came my way. To answer your question directly, there will be times when things are new and different and times when things are similar to how you've experienced them in the past. But like I've always said (and it's become a catchphrase around here)....it's all good! That said, you've got a lot of ground to cover before you get to a feeling of "sameness". I've been at this for over 4 years now and I'm still amazed how new things are still developing for me.

More orgasms per session (you wouldn' t believe me if I told you how many..), longer, more intensity, more control,....orgasm by thought alone..it's pretty wild stuff. I've also been doing a better job at putting this into proper context with my life. In the early days there was so much of it that was about validating it for myself. I did a lot of running around "existentially pinching myself" to make sure I wasn't dreaming! At this point I certainly know that it's for real and I'm very clear on what it's about. It has been empowering and enriching and has had many ramifications that have extended well beyond the obvious hedonistic aspects.

In regards to reaching ones "ultimate goal", not to sound overly trite here, but reaching the Super O is not an end...but a beginning! There really is no ultimate goal, it's a continually evolving thing.....

Rest assured that if you stay with it, you'll have more than "a darn good feeling" to show for it also. Not that there's anything wrong with a "darn good feeling", nor is there anything wrong with an unalloyed rapture of such sheer intensity that it leaves you sobbing....( I wax poetic...forgive me ...lol).

    Stay with it....

    Hi Tripper & Taurus,

Tripper, you asked about my ability to achieve Super O's in every session. Actually, I would like to say yes, but all I can say is most times. There are some times when I decide to have a session only to discover that my body is not really up to it. You really do need to have it all together. I have had sessions where I had my first Super O within a minute of beginning only to find that was the only one there. My mind can interrupt by going off into a different direction. You cant always control that. Keep in mind that I was at it for well over 6 months before I noticed anything really happening. A couple of twitches here and there. I am well aware of what a session is like without a Super O. I always thought that the Aneros was worth the purchase strictly based on the traditional orgasm that I would have with it inserted. By far, the most intense orgasms I ever had!

Since I have been able to achieve Super O's, during a good session, I can pretty much make them last as long as I would like. Last night for example, I had a pretty intense session with my Maximus. I dont really monitor the clock too much, but I would say that during an hour, I must have been in some form or orgasm for 50 minutes of it. When I say some form, I mean different waves of it. I am not sure my body would be able to handle the most intense Super O for a full hour straight. I have got to come out of it to regroup. Sometimes I will roll over on my back and do some penile stimulation for awhile. Actually, I will edge it for awhile then back on the stomach for another round. That is great.

I am getting wordy, sorry. Taurus, you asked about the potential motivation issue once you have achieved the Super O many times. In reading Mr. Mayfield's response to this, he hit it right on the head. The whole experience opens up an unbelievable part of your being. In my opinion, you are never the same. It is not just an orgasm but a connection to something within you that most men will never know. I am really sorry about that fact! It is that connection that will keep you coming back. Right now I am sensing that there is another plateau within my reach that I have been concentrating on. Stay tuned.

I guess the only real change that has happened since achieving the Super O is that my sessions are more manageable to me in length. I rarely have a session that lasts more than an hour these days. It is sometimes hard to set aside a couple of hours to this activity. In the beginning, my sessions were between 90 minutes and two hours. As I continue my quest to the next plateau, those sessions may become longer. I am experimenting with my breathing right now. I seem to have my most intense Super O's when I am not breathing at all. I have found that taking a breath actually diverts attention away. That is how intense it is for me anyway. I dont even want to breathe. That ability to ride out the most intense of orgasms and be able to breathe may be a key for me.

Well guys, I think that pretty much covers it. I hope that helps in some way. Obviously, my coffee has kicked in.

    Have a great week gentlemen.

  • Hi Everyone,

BF Mayfield and Buster, I really thank you for your response. It's nice to hear that there is a stage before the real adventure and I'm looking forward to all those stages.

I must admit though, sometimes I honestly don't know what to do next when I'm in the middle of a session. I sometimes get some pretty nice P-Waves othertimes I can feel them coming on but if I breath normal, hold my breath, breath fast, slow etc it seems like it just kills the wave. As Buster was saying, sometimes if I hold my breath the wave comes on, the other day I had about 4 p-waves but today it seemed like they were faintly there but I couldn't get them build.

One thing that seems very strange is that if I would have followed the online instructions on this website, I would never have gotten anywhere. I'm mainly referring to the section about 30 manual contractions, for me a manual contraction shuts everything down, if I have 1 manual contraction during a session it will take me at least 5 minutes to get going again.

Any thoughts on why the contractions are having this effect?

Well, thankfully I haven't had any unexpected session in the middle of traffic but I've noticed quite often throughout the day I do get a tingling sensation around the scrotum and occassionaly along my penis, not exactly sure what that means, I'm guessing it probably has something to do with the rewiring process. It's been a very interesting adventure so far and I look forward to the weekend where I can spend more time exploring.

    Hi Taurus,

My advise would be to not do any contractions if they dont work for you. One thing that I learned early on is that there is a big number of guys who have adopted the do nothing approach. I didnt think much of it at first because of my thinking that you have to manually work at something to get any pleasure out of it. I slowly worked myself into it and now the only time I do any contractions is when things are well on their way. I have had entire sessions where all I did was think about my breathing. Your actual act of breathing moves the Aneros where it needs to be. There have been times I will maybe go to about a half contraction and hold it for as long as I can. Once I release it and take a few breaths, I am gone again.

Ofcourse, the seperating of the different contractions is a whole other subject that I have yet to fully master. I have gotten better because I have been practicing during the day. Sometimes that practice will start it up, which is a nice side effect.

Hang in there Taurus. You're doing great.

    Hi All,

Last night I started out with my Helix at about 10:00, I started off by watching some porn, turned it off after a little as it wasn't really arousing me, I actually found it more distracting. I got into my usual postion on the side as described in the online instructions although I roll a little further forward so I'm partially laying on my stomach. I really didn't think anything was going to happen especially considering I was dozing off, I must have been asleep at one point and all of a sudden I woke up and there it hit, I started to feel a tingling sensation behind my scrotum and it then travelled throughout my body, my anus was twitching almost like it had a heart beat and I got really warm all over, from there it just got better, my heart was beating really fast and I found it was becoming a little harder to breath as well, all I could think when it hit was "WOW!!".

I don't think this was a Super O though as it didn't have the lingering effects that I've read about, maybe it was a Mini O or perhaps a Mid O, whatever it was, it was fantastic.

This was probably the first time I went into a session with out any expectation, normally I expect at least some p-waves and I always try to focus on the Aneros or something to arouse me but being asleep my mind was obviously empty and throughout my session I tried not to focus on anything and let it happen and I was very excited with the result.

Like most, I got very discourged when I started out and nothing was happening, I've been at this for for 1 1/2 months now and found that every little step makes me want to take another. If last night was a sneak peak at what's yet to come, I can see myself becoming addicted to my Aneros and I would encourage everyone experiencing difficulties getting started to continue as its well worth the effort or as I found out last night, the lack of effort.

    Congratulations Taurus,
In my humble opinion, you just had your first Super-O. I think that some guys get too caught up in the terminology about P-waves, Mini-O's, Super-O's etc...Listen to Brian Mayfield's advice. It is all good. Now you know how good it feels, it will only get better. Release your expectations and listen to the subtle things your body is telling you. Your body and mind will lead you to higher places. Good Luck,
