    Hi,

I have had an Aneros for about a year now. I love every minute of using it and have had plenty of mind blowing orgasms.

I don't identify as gay but have found myself wondering how the Aneros compares to a penis. I do not feel that I am attracted to men but if a penis is even close to as enjoyable as the Aneros I feel that I owe it to myself to at least give it a try.

Does anyone have any suggestions or opinions either way? Am I barking up the wrong tree or if not how to go about meeting a willing guy?

You could try out w/o committing to a gay relationship (or even a one-time fling) by buying a dildo or butt plug. If that does feel good, then you know where to look next ;)

But I have to rain a little bit on your parade, sorry. The Aneros feels good for a reason: it puts really well aimed stimulation on your prostate. A dildo or butt plug is for a filled feeling, not for specific targetted stimulation of the prostate. So my prediction is that it won't feel the same at all. It might of course still feel very good and exciting, but it will feel different.

Although I'm straight I also wondered the same thing as you did and tried a dildo and I have to say If I'm not touching my penis with the dildo inside me then I wont feel anything so I just stick with the aneros, so I dont think you should meet another guy if you dont consider yourself gay because it could be complicated but If unsure about your sexuality then go for it and find out once and for all

All that dildo talk is well and good, but it's totally different than anal penetration with another person. Maybe you could attach this dildo to your girlfriend, if you have one, though I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem to find a willing gay guy if your curiosity is peaked. That said, I find that I have to be attracted to the guy in order to enjoy anal sex so if that isn't a possibility, at all, then you might want to give it a skip. Another posting says that the difference is in the 'filled' feeling, but that totally discounts the value of having something pounding your prostate that is totally beyond your control. Sweating, writhing and breaking barriers with every thrust sounds like fun.

I second Fleshjoe's comments re: the Aneros delivering "targeted" stimulation Another thing that bears mentioning is that a penis (like a dildo) engages the prostate more tangentially. So while penile penetration may be very satisfying (for some), for variety of reasons (several of which ponyboy has elaborated) ... it is a different experience.

  • I don't think you have to identify as gay to enjoy sex with another man. There is indeed much pleasure to be had in such a relationship - whether its your preference or not. If you meet someone that you want to share the experience with, then explore the possibilities. Seeking it out for the hell of it, however will probably lead to disappointment.
I agree with ponyboy, though. Dildos and people are very different and the latter can be exponentially more satisfying.

    Hello,

Thank you to everyone who has replied.

I am definitely going to go out and get a dildo to play around with and see how I like it. But I am sure that just like multiple people have said a dildo really is not the same thing as a penis.

I have the impression that a dildo will be similiar to moving the Aneros around with my hand. Using the Aneros when it is under my "control" seems hardly worth it. It feels ok but it is nothing compared to how I feel having involuntaries let alone a massive non-ejaculatory orgasm.

When I say that I am not attracted to men I mean that I just do not have any romantic or even any general physical feelings for men. But I have to admit that when ponyboy describes having something pound your prostrate my pulse literally starts to race thinking about it. The thought of having someone rub me like the Aneros is very exciting.

Getting a girlfriend to use a dildo on me sounds exactly like what I need. Unfortunately I recently split with my girlfriend which is actually what got me back using my Aneros regularly. I just keep having this thought that a penis, especially when used by someone who knows what they are doing, could be like a session with an Aneros but even better.

After reading the replies I am starting to come to the opinion that if you like men, you will probably find a penis much more enjoyable than the Aneros. But if you are not into men having sex with one is probably a bad idea. I am left wondering though if anyone has experienced anything like a non-ejaculatory orgasm when being penetrated by a penis?

Thanks again to everyone. I really appreciate the replies. It is great having a forum such as this where people will openly discuss such subjects.

A couple of years ago my wife and I had dinner with a male couple and I got a chance to ask them about the experience of penetration & orgasm, it was very enlightening actually, I'll pass on what they told me.

What they reported (from the receivers point of view only) was massive full body orgasm accompanied by soft ejaculation (no force), they said 'straight' guys really don't know what they are missing. I asked if they ever had this experience without the ejaculation and they said well sometimes but it tends to hurt (sorry no expanded info on this). They also reported this happening with no penile contact at all.

What I didn't get to ask was how regularly this happens, how experienced you have to be or whether it takes a lot of time to get this high. I don't know so anyone who has more info please pass it on here.

I do think there is not a lot of information available about this, I just re skimmed through anal pleasure and health by Jack Morin. This is apparently the standard work on this subject and it mentions the prostate twice in passing only which is quite astonishing really.

    Hi JW,

I have got nothing to add to this except to say that if it was not enjoyable to them, I would think that they would find something that was. It is interesting though because there are alot of us that do not know much about it.

    Good luck in your quest,

    jimmyw,

It occurs to me in reading your comments that you need to get some clarity for yourself on what you REALLY want. If what you're truly after is sensual exploration through anal and prostate stimulation, then the Aneros is indeed a means to that end. This device has opened up the world of non-ejaculatory, whole-body orgasm (Super O ) to gay and straight users alike. I should mention that there are many gay users (bottoms) that have indicated here that they've never had an experience of this kind ( Super O) prior to their introduction to the Aneros.

At the very least, the Aneros would be a good starting point, given your statements. With respect to being aroused by the idea of having an orgasm of this type by way of a penis, is it possible that you are aroused by the whole notion of being stimulated in this place and to this degree...by any means?

On the other hand, if it's your curiousity about experiencing actual penile penetration that is driving this, ....as others have pointed out... it should be possible to have someone accommodate you in this regard.

Understand, I'm not trying to discourage anything here, but rather encourage finding a little of focus.
