I need to upgrade?
  • I purchased the original aneros a wile back. The first time I tried it and for a bit I hit just the right spot. It was wondeful! But I did something and lost the angle. I was never able to do it again. (I tried several times.)

I suspect that a different shape is for me, but which one? There are so many new versions to choose from. I am a little confused what to try.

    Any advice would be apreceated.

I have one of the old ones, too, and have never had any interesting results. Reading the testimonials has encouraged me to "dust it off" and try again with a more open mind. I love sex too much not to keep trying. I did order a newer model, but wish there were some actual guidelines, instead of vague descriptions of how each one will deliver a great orgasmic experience. The company could do a lot better here - or are they all really the same?

    Enjoytheshow,

It may be that another model would help you achieve results, however, the fact that you had initial success with your original Aneros (MGX classic?) leads me to believe that the issue may be relating to technique or perhaps attitude. I must tell you that achieving results the first time out isn't all that common, so there still might be something there for you with the unit that you have now. My suggestion would be to give this old unit another shot....with a beginner's mind if at all possible.

    leopold,

Regarding the various models of the Aneros product line and their descriptions, it's important to bear in mind the subjective nature of this kind of experience. One can talk about size and shape of these devices until you're blue in the face, but some of these difference simply must be felt to be understood. With regard to the manufacturer's description, I believe that they have made generalizations based upon their knowledge of anatomy (the designer is a urologist) and user feedback. One thing for certain is that these devices are NOT all the same. The various user comments will attest to that. For more in depth analysis you can search here in the forum. My thread entitled The Next Generation Reviewed would be a good place to start. Expect a variety of different opinions on this subject...but as I said before, this is the nature of it all..

    Hey enjoytheshow,
If you can only afford one model right now, I would suggest you try the Helix. It is perfectly balanced and really gives the prostate a vigorous massage. If you have the means, try out all the next generation models. It is fun to rotate the units since each one seems to stimulate the body in different pleasurable ways. Good luck,
    Charlie
