Burning Sensation With Insertion

I have been reading the forums regularly and have so far owned the Helix, MGX, and now the SGX. My question is when I initially insert the Aneros I get a slight burning sensation inside my rectum for what seems like the length of the Aneros. When inserting a finger, well lubricated of course, I don't get this sensation. Is this why it is recommended that you insert and wait 10-15 minutes before starting contractions? Or is this possibly related to the temperature of the Aneros? Just curious to hear any responses.

FWIW, I would definitely recommend warming your aneros before inserting it. Warm the lubrication too. Drop both the aneros and your lubricant applicator in a receptacle of warm water for a couple of minutes. I learned that if I didn't perform these two preliminary steps my rectum would initially feel irritated when the (cold) lubrication was first injected. The cold lubricant would cause my colon to spasm and contract as if I needed to have a bowel movement. Same thing with the aneros. If the aneros was inserted when still cold my rectum would go spastic for a short while. Warming everything up before insertion definitely makes it all a much more pleasant experience!
