Breathing

Could someone elaborate a bit more on the topic of breathing? What is meant by "breathing exercises"? I've heard mention of this several times. Are the breathing exercises basically just breathing deeply in and out? I'd appreciate all the help that I can get. Thanks!

  • As far as breathing - just remember to do it! I have also found that when the Aneros starts it's thing - it is pleasurable and even more stimulating to breathe with your abdomen. In other words, if you're on your back, watch your belly rise and fall with each breath. The problem I have is that when the Aneros starts going and I get that "full" feeling near the prostate, the taints, and anus, I tend to get excited and FORGET to breathe. That's my next step to overcome!

    Hi Scooby,

What do you mean by the full feeling, can you give any more details.

    thx.

  • What I meant by "full" is a sensation that I get when the Aneros starts working that encompasses my anus, prostate, and my penis. It's a warm kind of relaxed feeling, but it is a build up to a full orgasm. I think what I am experiencing is a "Super-O", but I can't be sure. It is VERY pleasurable, however I feel there is something beyond this that I can achieve so I am slow to say I have been 100% successful with the Aneros. The breathing, I have found, is very crucial to get to this stage. I am sure I screw up my sessions as I get excited when these build ups come and I STOP breathing. Keep breathing, that's the key, breathe. What's more, breathing prolongs this pleasurable engorgement and makes it last. I note that when I stop breathing, the whole experience fizzles out before too long.

I am no master. This is just some other schmo's experience. I do need to say though, I have had the Aneros for about 4 months now and I am just getting to the point where I can initiate these sensations. It took a lot of patience and exploration to get here and I am glad I stuck with it!

So are you suggesting to breathe in a deep like manner? I find this very difficult to do, while trying to do everything else. Maybe it just takes practice, or maybe it's just that I'm not cordinated enough! :-(

    Thanks,

I am sorry to have taken so much time to reply, I have been out of town.

My description was a little fuzzy - sorry. What I mean about the breaths is simply filling the lower part of the lungs first. This is achieved by placing a free hand on you abdomen and feeling it rise and fall with each breath. It doesn't have to be very deep.

I have seen the other thread here that mentions breathing and I am going to try B. Mayfield's suggestion regarding the 'rhythmic breathing' being like an excited child's breathing. I think this might be just what I need to get over my little hump and OFF THE EDGE! I have yet to experience anything that I would call super. That is not to say that I don't very much enjoy my Aneros sessions (otherwise I would have quit long ago) however, my penile centered orgasms (with ejaculation) are FAR more satisfying! Maybe I am expecting too much!

Diaphragmatic breathing - yes all breathing involves the diaphragm but most adults have forgotten how to do so. Social coditioning, stress whatever causes us to forget what we did naturally as babies. Breathe using the whole abdomen. The belly actually rounds.

This sort of natural breathing which is how the body is designed to work, involves more than just the diaphragm, it also involves muscles and bones in the pelvis.

Try this sometime if you need a more graphical hands on explanation: take a balloon and fill it with some water. Place it in a bowl and with your hands on top of it press downwards into the bowl. The balloon will fill the bowl and probably start trying to distend around your hands. The bowl is your pelvic cradle, the balloon are abdominal contents (organs intestines etc etc) and your hands are the diaphragm working during inhalation.

I know there is some movement of the sacrum which would seem relevant to what we are talking about here, but I hestitate to say more since it was so long ago that I studied A&P.

Hopes that helps with questions about breathing.
