    aneros-user49900,

    An Addiction definition :

Addiction is a dependence on a behavior or substance that a person is powerless to stop. The term has been partially replaced by the word dependence for substance abuse. Addiction has been extended, however, to include mood-altering behaviors or activities. Some researchers speak of two types of addictions: substance addictions (for example, alcoholism, drug abuse, and smoking); and process addictions (for example, gambling, spending, shopping, eating, and sexual activity).

Due to its exceedingly pleasurable effects Aneros use can indeed become an addiction, this has been discussed in numerous threads such as Chronic Masturbation, Sex&Porn Addiction & the Perid, Hi. My Name is ... and I'm an Aneros-holic. or Preoccupation with Aneros
With Aneros usage we are not talking about a substance addiction but rather a psychological addiction, a process addiction. It is fairly clear from a number of past posts here the members themselves have identified the behavior as “addictive”. While most of these instances are probably not true addictions in the clinical psychological sense, some could be classified as a neurosis akin to fetishism. It is fairly clear Aneros use can be classified as a process addiction when the behavior impacts other portions of ones life in detrimental ways. Fortunately, for most of us who have gone through an addictive phase, you learn to integrate your usage in a life compatible manner with beneficial results. You may want to read about some Psychological issues as well as Managing Addiction discussed in the Aneros WIKI.

:) I prefer to think of Aneros use as an integrated lifestyle choice rather than an addiction or habit...but then I've haven't been forced to go for more than a month without using it. :)
  • Hi.
Sorry I'll repeat this, it's somewhere on this site.
What I do find addictive is the Aneros forum.
In fact I spend more time in Aneros than Aneros spends in me.
I think I got this tool because I've got haemorrhoids ( yes, we in the UK have an extra letter in ours thats because they're more painful ) :)
I probably got this to relieve the itching, coz I hate sticking my digit up beyond.
That's the main reason I got it.
The fun bit was the bonus of having an itchy arse.
To tell the truth, I'm losing interest with it, only when I've an itchy ring does my interest pick up.
Or is this an inflamed prostate ?
Butt still use it at least 2 or 3 times a week.
Or maybe it's keeping the old grapes away ?
