Could drinking purified vs. tap water make a difference?
  • I once overheard my dad say that he noticed his prostate swelling less when he switched from drinking tap water to drinking purified water. I usually drink purified water (Brita filter--outputs mostly pure water with fluoride in it.) I enjoy my Aneros sessions, but they have not reached a fever pitch often and never a Super-O. Is it possible that an enlarged prostate might actually facilitate great-feelings sessions by enhancing prostate contact? I've noticed when I use my finger that I often have to kind of prod the wall inwards a little ways before I get much real sensation. I think I'll try drinking non-purified water for a while to see if anything changes. Thoughts?

Also please post in the poll that I'm about to post.

Edit: Oops. Meant to post this link immediately:

Suggest contacting you local water department and asking for a copy of their periodic analysis of water quality. Then decide if you wish to forsake your Brita.

My own city water is loaded with Chlorine and Tri-halo Methane. I don't drink it or douche with it until it's run through a filter.

I 'own' a moderately enlarged Prostate (45 grams). I don't consider it a plus for 'contact.' It does narrow my choice of toys though. ... rook

If you're going to drink filtered water, make sure it's only filtered for taste; the minerals are needed in the water to fortify your body. Pure distilled water can actually drain minerals from your body, because water naturally has some impurities that the body needs. Have you ever noticed when you drink unfamiliar water, you can't seem to quench your thirst? That's why. It's different from what your water has, and your body requires more to get the lacking minerals in the water.

    That's the actual answer.
But I suspect that won't be the end of it.
