Anal vs prostate orgasms.
  • Most testimonials of successful Aneros sessions seems to involve full body orgasms preceded by some kind
of anal twitching or involuntary contractions, some seems to involve prostate stimulation as well.

Can we clearly distinguish an anal orgasm from a prostate orgasm? There seems to be few Aneros users experiencing orgasms brought about by direct stimulation of the prostate, at least i have not come across them.

Personally, i do not get much pleasurable feelings by prostate stimulation, but some men, or so i have heard, can ejaculate during anal intercourse with no penile stimulation at all (An anal orgasm however, would be dry, where a prostate orgasm would involve ejaculation, on the other hand, i guess the prostate is always involved in producing the pleasurable feelings one way or the other?)

Without getting into semantics, I think the main thing for the Aneros user to realize is that it's basically a whole region that gets activated, there is always a point that is most sensitive, where the focus is on and then you add more sensations by expanding the activated area to the periphery . That to me is what it's about, having the patience to tune into your body, to the slow build up of sensations, and the more you focus on even the slightest pleasure you are aware of the more it will grow... then slowly but surely a whole orgasmic area with an amazing range of all kinds of sensations will reveal itself
  • The most fun i have had with the Progasm so far is masturbating with it standing up, i would find myself intuitively bending my knees, lowering my hips and letting them roll forward, much like the "Horse-stance" in TaiChi, this creates pleasurable feelings close to my tail-bone, that is, on the "backside" of the Progasm.
I do not know why this position feels so good, it might be caused by a toning up of the perineum muscles, perhaps not unlike "The lock" taught in Asthanga yoga, with the exception
that you do not actually try to "pull" or contract anything, it happens as a result of the position i guess.

This is the closest to non-penile pleasure that i have come so far, but i can only achieve it through penile stimulation.
And if anybody wants to have a go, i recommend vaseline or something else with low viscosity, to get a nice friction when you slide your hand up and down the shaft, (do not "jerk of" by moving the foreskin back and forth) doing it this way increases the feelings off pleasure moving from my cock to the tailbone via the perineum and anus.

Yeaaaah wendigo, Nice post on anal joys and orgasms. Something that I feel we neglect in this Forum.

During a prostate break, there's a lot available on the anterior side of the anal canal. My favorite:

Playing the head of the Helix along the canal adjacent to my backbone. Usually get this started on my back with the body of the Helix barely on my Prostate and the head lying on the canal. Then release anal and PC tension so that the tool is mainly supported by the sphincter and the canal, taking pressure off Prostate. The resulting fantasy and sensation has the Helix protruding through my spine.

Intercourse or FL Wonderwave flight with the larger Peridise. The feeling is a solid "brace" between my penis bulb and my tailbone. Teasing around PONR becomes "divine" and grants a sense of control that I've never had any other way. Pull out, back off PONR and contract to trigger anal tremors, flex to build them and have that shove you across PONR. Twice I've been able to bring the anal tremors into the penile orgasm. gud fun :)
  • Yeah, when i allow me pelvis to rock forward, the Progasm tends to slip out a bit, so that the head is resting more on the tailbone i guess, and to me, that actually feels better than having it in all the way.

But penile stimulation is a bad thing if you want to get the full benefits of the Aneros, or so i have read many times in this forum.
So will this practice slow down my progress, or on the contrary facilitate the ability to have pleasurable full body experiences?

i think you should heed the advice to leave your wiener unstimulated. your internal parts need to figure out how to be the top dog in the process so they can commence involuntarily stimulating themselves. at first the pleasure signal they are sending alone might be faint. but with time and experience it grows, and grows, and grows.

  • I guess so Darwin, but at least it heightened my awareness of what a potential powerhouse of pleasure we got up there.

When i started with the progasm, i felt a tightness and an slightly aching feeling in the prostate area, but no longer, could this be because the prostate was enlarged and now it has decreased in size?

I believe that another one of the "donts" out there, is to not use the Aneros to push, or rub against the prostate. I like to sometimes sit at the bed, with feets on the floor, to add a bit of
pressure on the Progasm, and then do some gentle contractions to get some extra stimuli of the prostate, it feels good, but is it good?

Not to steal the whole thread but I can offer some numbers on this. Each of the three years before I started with Aneros, my Uro was estimating my Prostate at 45gm. And, my description of Progasm use pretty well matched yours. This year his estimate was "between 45 and 50gm"

I think, rather than shrinking the prostate, I've gained canal elasticity and am more relaxed with Progasm than I was at first. 2cw .... rook

Yes you are right it is a don't. You don't want to damage your prostate. What you are experiencing is kind of newbie thing as your prostate is not yet awakened and sensitized. So there is a real tendency to want to apply lots of pressure to feel anything. I don't recommend you sit with your Progasm inserted. Although many users here do so with the smaller models (Helix, MGX/SGX, Eupho,) with the handle/tails cut off(Or the Periside as is). I'm unable to do this myself as it applies to much pressure and I find it uncomfortable. Be gentle with yourself and your body. Practice regularly and your prostate will awaken.

  • Thank you all, I will follow the advice of the senior masters, but i am not quite sure what to practise, this is the sentence in the Aneros learning center that inspired this thread:

"Gentle anal contraction is more likely to cause anal orgasms, whereas stronger contractions will lead to prostate-generated orgasms or a combination of sensations."

So what is the difference between anal and prostate generated orgasms?

Neither gentle nor strong contractions does the slightest for me so far, just lying still and immersing myself in fantasies has been my most successful strategy when it comes to building up an arousal.

wendigo, don't get lost on the technicalities of what a prostate or anal orgasm is or get lost on how many or how long to hold your contractions. You can better even do nothing and hone in to any subtle sensation. The anal area is basically feminine, it's a pleasure that takes a while to buildup. Don't expect penile like pleasure. Just be patient, deep breathing, and focus on your anal area. When you hone in to this barely noticable pleasure it will get stronger and then your body will follow, you'll feel yourself when an how to contract and move.

    Good luck!

    Hello again Wendigo, :)

Good advice from Helixer for you to consider.

The other thing that comes to mind is that every Aneros user's journey is different. What works for one guy, may not work for another. The best you can do is experiment in your sessions and follow where the pleasure takes you.

    Thanks Love_is,

One last thing as far as the topic's concerned. To me the Aneros journey is, if anything, 3D. You're like a painter painting in the different hues. There are so many pleasure spots when you combine movement, breath, position etc that's it's too one dimensional to restrict 2 types of orgasm and frankly when you've rewired you won't even care what is producing the ecstatic feeling

Like when you listen to a piece of music, do you really care if you are hearing a c or a d? It's the totality that counts and the feeling that conveys

    Just go with the flow.....

P.S often just breathing deeply can cause (automatic)slight anal or pc contraction and somehow those types are often best in the beginning in sparking the xtc. So just be tuned in, coz otherwise the opportunity will have passed.
Really it's about you feel, not what you think you should be doing

I wonder if that's not part of my problem; I'm asthmatic, and by nature, my breaths are shallow (I think it is one of the symtoms asthmatics and people with allergies have in common). Right now I'm struggling with hip/lowerback/sacrum pains, mostly due to this damn chair at the computer.

I think the main thing to consider is that you breath from your naval.
Put your hands over your belly and feel it expand, regardless of how deep you can breath compared to others, you'll still be able to utilise the maximum capacity of your lungs breathing this way. This type of breathing not only relaxes but is said to be best for your health.

I've found deepbreathing also increases the intensity of the orgasm as well.

    Badger-

for your pain, you may want to look into the Miracle Ball exercises. Look it up on Amazon. You basically lie on top of a couple of balls and release all muscular tension. also, do you do any strength training?

I think you are on the right track here. give it time. also, it may be time to deploy your nipples. they are a major nexus waiting for you to discover. to accelerate that, if you feel like throwing a little cash at it, check out Supple Nipps.

Try too find a good Alexander technique teacher, the problems might come back as long as you do not learn how to allow your muscles and organs, including the breathing mechanism, to function optimally. Prevention is better than cure, especially as the cure might not be a permanent one. American Society for the Alexander Technique (AmSAT) |

Yeah, on occasions, when my libido has been very high, i felt like electric shocks shooting up from my lower abdomen, up through my chest, throat and jaws,
and this was just from thinking about sex, i guess it is this dormant power we want to harness, seems to be like channels running from your abdomen to your head
via the nipples, but right now there is no flow...
  • wendigo's question interests me as well. I am new to anything anal and in the process of becoming comfortable with my progasm and learning to find some pleasure from internal (rectal) maniulation of my prostate ...

but i was told by an older gay male - reasonably fit guy in his mid-to-late fifties - who had had radical surgery for prostate cancer (apparently cured at this point, but unfortunately impotent from inadequate "nerve sparing" technique) that as a "bottom" (i.e. a "catcher," as opposed to a "pitcher" or penetrator) he could still get off when his mate fucked him anally ... this without manipulation of his penis

... also reported he could masturbate by manipulating his non-erect penis - achieving a dry orgasm (obviously he has no prostate or seminal vesicles), and this ability is apparently universal

... so the orgasm he gets during anal manipulation or intercourse is NOT prostate and not penile but purely "anal"

i have always been under the impression that the prostate was essential for anal orgasms

... i'm not a urologist or doctor but work in medicine (imaging) and this interests me - anyone can wise me up?

This more or less substantiates what I've been saying all along, basically the whole body is capable of orgasm. In fact this isn't as strange as it sounds. Blind people for example can use sound(like a bat) to see. Our bodies have an amazing capacity to compensate, even using one modality for another

expanding on helixer's observation aneros should be but another step to unlocking the ability to obtain higher levels of orgasmic delight and bliss ...

and ultimately multiple available pathways to sexual ecstasy

... in view of the life-enhancing and renewing character of extended orgasm this explains the eastern tantric and taoist traditions concentration on sex and the penis yin and yang lingam and kundulini

i am persisting with my progasm and beginning to experience positive enhancement on my erotic travels
