Im 19 years old and I am quite short 5'7'', and am very skinny. I recently purchased a MGX and im having problems. I'm gay so i have a experienced anal play before so insertion is not a problem up to the last section of the aneros. after a certain point it pulls itself in all the way and i feel a pressure like its pressing on my bladder - its not a bad or nice feeling but im scared to flex my pc muscles as everytime i do i feel the pressure. Since im short and skinny, i was worried that the mgx was too big for me and going up further than the prostate and hitting my bladder. Is this feeling my prostate or not? I would like some advice for this or anyones experiences who are small or skinny as i dont want to damage myself.

    Hi odr and welcome aboard,

If you are well lubed, I'd not worry about injury; however, wait here for a post from rumel or B.F.Mayfield. I'd suggest going slowly until you get this nailed down. When I make it to the bladder neck (about 3/4" further up than the length of an MGX for me), I get the 'urgency to urinate' signal that's mentioned in the Wiki. Is that what you're getting? (My hunch is that you've achieved very positive prostate contact.)

To help differentiate your prostate from bladder, you might insert a standard lubed prostate massage wand and get accurate measurements from your outer sphincter to your prostate and bladder neck (using the 'pleasure' and 'gotta pee' signals to identify each.) Compare those distances to the MGX. Remember though that the wand is a straight shot at the prostate and tends to extend the canal somewhat (giving a longer-than-actual measurement.)

Ultimately you might be a candidate for the SGX, a very nice tool, well suited to a broad range of activities. If you purchased from the Aneros store, the MGX is returnable and the credit should cover the price of the SGX. Carefully read the return procedures for the MGX.

Best wishes for a great journey.

    Hi odr,

    Welcome to the Aneros Forums,

I don't think you need to be too concerned about being too short for your MGX. While the SGX model is shorter and was designed for men 5'-6” or less in height I think you are probably OK with the MGX. I suspect your unfamiliarity with these new sensations being generated is what is causing your uneasiness.

I think you can rest assured you will not do yourself any damage by the flexing of your PC muscles. The fact you can feel the massaging pressure from flexing those muscles is a good sign and if you are feeling any urge to urinate (despite knowing your bladder is empty) this too is a good sign of positive prostate engagement.

It is highly unlikely you could do any damage to yourself simply by using your internal musculature (PC, rectal and anal sphincter muscles) to move your MGX. In fact this is the proper way to power these little devices. However, if you incur any pain as a result of exercising those muscles you should stop at once and try to determine the cause of the pain. Aneros usage should never be painful, if it is, then there are other problems present which need to be addressed.

P.S. I sent you an introductory PM with some additional hints and tips to get you started.

    Hello odr, :)

You're the same height as myself, and I own the MGX, Helix, and Progasm prostate massager's. So I don't suspect you're height has anything to do with this. I do think that much like rook said it is just a signal that your getting good prostate contact. Obviously though, pain and discomfort should be signal to stop doing whatever is causing it. Aneros sessions should not be painful. In my own early phases of my Aneros journey, I found found that all that Aneros models I owned caused some pain and discomfort with hard contractions. Something most have changed along the way though, as this is no longer the case for me.
